Saira, you should ask your doctor to reconsider your therapy. In particular, he should be looking at your Vit D levels and minerals including selenium (you probably have too little) and copper (of which you have too much).

When an Nkanu warrior brought a head back, everyone who heard of the deed gave him a present, and much palm-wine was drunk. The trophy was boiled, and the flesh cut away.

The skull was then taken out, accompanied with all the others in the village, and the flesh was then boiled and eaten.

Much cruelty was practised among certain of these tribes. For example, the Bafum-Bansaw, who frequently tortured their prisoners before putting them to death.

Palm-oil was boiled in a big pot, and then by means of a gourd enema it was pumped into the bowels and stomachs of the prisoners. This practice was said to make the bodies much more succulent than they would otherwise have been.

From the vantage point of 2019/08/28, the entire social system the West has now will be reorganized in the near future (next decade or two, maybe starting AD 2020 with Trump's Presidential run, maybe not until 2024 or 2028, maybe a decade later if the Left establishes an interim police state). The reorganization will be thorough and will involve another World War [1] as various Asian countries try to compensate for a suddenly absent world trade by confiscating from each other and whoever else they can reach. Even the Russian Federation will feel the resource pinch.
In the aftermath, the world ends up as thoroughly reorganzied (in about three generations, 60-70 years) as Europe was after the end of the 30 Years War (formalized by changes to international law in the Treaty of Westphalia, AD 1648). Left and Right become as obsolete as the old Ghibellines and Guelphs [2].

Japan/Australia, and other regional island nations will be too busy hoping they're not next to do much more than watch, and would in any case have severe supply problems of their own. The regional island nations might even ally with the PRC.
Use of the high lethality weapons possible even in 2019 would produce large changes worldwide, but the nature of the changes would be unpredictable from the vantage point of a person in 2019.
