If you carefully observe those maps, which I have done numerous times, the expansion of Russia was never westwards.

Rather, the expansion was firstly into Slavic lands occupied by Muslim Turks and Tatars---many of them slavers.

Secondly, the expansions trekked eastwards into primarily tribal territories, sparsely populated, whose scattered peoples they mostly left to their own devices. It was not until the 19th Century that they moved in on those Islamic territories, which they gave up during the collapse of the USSR. Most of those Stans are now allied with Russia and greatly benefit with amicable relations in trade and commerce.

So why this hostility towards Russia? Do you realize that we should understand that the enemy of our enemies are not OUR enemies. Or are you on the other side and believe in the false democracy of the Sanhedrin dominated West? Truth-loving and honest westerners want to get out from under that dictatorship of the Talmudists.

Crimea at that time had a majority of invaders--the Tatars, who worked closely with the Terrible Turks. The Tatars were into raiding Slavic villages and selling them on the slave markets in Istanbul. So the conquest of Crimea was a step away from barbarism of one of the worst sorts and a replacement with civilized values.

For those with little or no knowledge of the subject, it comes across as there must be mountains of documents from German and other countries archives that absolutely prove the official Holocaust narrative.

But we know that this isn't the case. There's the Wannsee Protocol, which might be referring to Jewish mass extermination, but it's wording is a tad ambiguous so hardly conclusive.

However, apart from the Wannsee document there appears to be rather slim pickings in the German archives. Certainly, there's plenty of evidence of mass shootings on the Eastern Front, and no sensible revisionist would deny that. But I refer to documents that purport a diabolical plan to mass exterminate the entire Jewish population of Nazi occupied Europe.

Or at least documentary evidence that highlights some of the insisted upon elements of the official version of events.

There have been books published (at least one that I know of) that states that the reason for there being little documentary evidence in the German archives about the Holocaust, is that a crime of such proportions could only be ordered and communicated by word of mouth.

Which brings me back to the question of what is meant by this event (the Holocaust) being the most documented event in history?

Don't like that one. Well in August 1914 Germany and France ( with a British Army in support) went at it. By September 5th the German Army was within 30 miles of Paris. They never got closer. 4 years, and millions of dead later, they were only 75 miles away.

There maybe some military historians with better knowledge than I but, AFAIK, no Great Power has ever launched a major attack on a neighboring power and had less to show for its effort than Russia in 2022. That Ukraine was, by far, the smaller combatant and has weathered the invasion is unprecedented in modern history. Sure a skittish NATO transferred some man portable defensive weapons and ammunition but never made any ground, sea or air forces available even now, 75 days later and yet Ukraine still can mount an effective defense and is humiliating Russia. That Russia cannot push aside Ukrainian resistance and must fear its own forces are about to be chopped to pieces by one or two hundred NATO supplied artillery pieces has to show V. Putin to be the most incompetent leader in centuries.

Yes the referendum was legitimate and if you knew anything about Ukraine that would not surprise you. According to the last Ukrainian census even after twelve years of Ukrainization the population of Crimea was predominantly Russian. Ethnic Ukrainians of Crimea made 24.3% and Russians 58.3% and the real number is higher.

And Russia did not want Donbas, it wanted a reform for Donbas in order to make it safe for the ethnic Russians living there. The Empire did convert to Christianity (led by Constantine) but it was really the beginning of the end for the faith. Middle Ages Christianity was institutionalized. It allied with European kings - the Throne and the Altar. It hunted down heretics and built cathedrals to impose its power + taxing the "faithful" (the tithe - 10% of their produce). IOW it ran the Hyman Roth Rule for a while until it itself went the way of the decadent late Imperial Rome. Similarly leaving an interesting collection of monuments to past glory.

In the present day, it's the Chinese who reject the Empire and the Russians who are currently fighting it in the Ukraine. The Russians have twice experienced living under the Hyman Roth rule - Bolshevism 1917 (after the collapse of Imperial Russia) and Yeltsin 1991-99 (after the collapse of the Soviet Union). They know what's going on.

Similarly, Hungary also had direct experience of the Hyman Roth Rule. The horrific Red Terror (1919) of the Hungarian Soviet Republic.

Communism 'lost' because the Soviet subsidised its satellites, provided free education, health, housing and transport for its people and did NOT exploit overseas countries. Moreover the USSR was exhausted from the most violent and destructive war in history and the effort to rebuild after the war.Furthermore it was under unceasing Western sabotage and subversion from 1917.
In contrast the USA ended WW2 with 60% of world production. It created the Bretton Woods economic gulag to ensure its perpetual economic dominance of the world. It exploited other countries, particularly in Latin America, mercilessly, and if any regime reached power dedicated to the interests of its people before US exploiters, the USA destroyed that Government one way or another. Evil triumphed, then it shot itself in both feet through greed and hubris.

I didn't say secondary, I said post secondary, which I assume is your "tertiary". The Russians, Czechs ad East Germans I met at university in Scandinavia 50 years ago described their system to be much like what was in place in Scandinavia at the time. Streaming to occupations began about age 12. While academics were a large part of it, aptitudes were also assessed as part of the streaming. While I suspect there would have been some manipulation in the results, just as there are in most countries, it would have been minor.

Older commenters here in the UR will remember a time when a typical family lived comfortably with a single breadwinner in the household, a time when there were no tent cities comprised of the homeless, a time when countless numbers of homeless were not found sleeping under freeway overpasses etc.

But is was GOVERNMENT that off-shored American manufacturing jobs, it was government that allowed tens of millions of undocumented migrants to cross the border, it was the government that engaged and provoked these endless foreign military misadventures, it was government that allowed the creation of the Federal Reserve and ownership of it to a private Zionist cartel.

The communists in China don't view it your way. They see the revolution failed because it was a path described by Marx as "a violent suppression of the old conditions of production." In Communist philosophy, another approach, now adopted, is Communism is a permanent revolution in which the people's minds are "educated" (indoctrinated) about the needed changes to achieve socialism. It's a gradual process.

In the U.S., we are also on this permanent revolutionary path. The government comprises 44% of the GDP, up from 37% and 33%, in the past few years. It's been a steady increase, since 1929, when it was only 8% of GDP. Listen carefully, to people, you won't hear the class struggle philosophy, instead its now a continuous revolutionary struggle towards equality. Have a plan Z in your pocket, because these struggles always end in massive deaths.

However, in the wake of the 2008 GFC and the concomitant downturn in exports to their major trading partners, the Chinese government stepped in with its profligate and fiscally reckless infrastructure expenditure that saw the ghost cities built, highways and high speed rail projects to nowhere, an excess of under-utilised international airports being built etc.

This was done to stave off civil unrest resulting from widespread unemployment in the event that the recession was allowed to run its course.

In other words, the busy body socialist central planners took the helm and pursued these options that have MASSIVELY INCREASED DEBT and rendered China's economy more fragile and susceptible to future economic shocks.

So, to answer your question, China was very much pursuing the capitalist trajectory up until the 2008 GFC and has been more under the socialist thumb in the immediate aftermath of that recession.

That said, even post 2008 the dynamism of the Chinese private sector is so great, and its productivity so impressive, I believe that it has done more than enough to counteract the parasitic and loss making activities of the central planning socialists.

This is ESPECIALLY SO in the case of the post Covid Pandemic period.
As the U.S went into lockdown in the immediate aftermath of March 2020 and trillions of USD were conjured up from thin air to dole out to Trump's Zio benefactors and cronies, some trillions were also conjured up and doled out to working class Americans who were paid more to stay at home than they were being paid in their minimum wage jobs.

END RESULT: America was producing less 'stuff' since no one wanted to work as they were afraid they'd get the 'rona'.
So, the Chinese factories, after a brief lockdown in China with minimal fatalities, was soon firing on all cylinders producing all the stuff the U.S and the rest of the world needed.

The trade deficit with the U.S which was already catastrophic, has now reached apocalyptic levels and China's balance sheet has greatly improved - all courtesy of it's private sector which is the engine of the world economy.

Provided that the socialist central planners don't squander too much more of the the nation's wealth and don't micromanage what the private sector can or cannot do (and so far so good), China should do OK in the medium term.
 

Yes, the ruling regime in the Middle Kingdom is still called the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) but it is nowhere near as heavy-handed as it was during the Mao era.
As I see it China is 'communist' in name only and its leaders have long realised that prosperity can ONLY be attained through a market economy, involving minimal taxation, a minuscule regulatory burden and most importantly, a much smaller percentage of GDP allocated to the parasitic government bureaucracies relative to the socialist U.S and western European vassals.

As long as the Marxist hardliners within the party are kept on a short leash and not allowed to squander too much of the nation's treasure on socialist boondoggles, China will do just fine.
