Your statement that the bodies of persons deceased from typhus are COVERED with lice is blatant misinformation. As the dead go below body temperature, the Body Lice begin to flee the dead persons clothing, seeking a new host, and even a living victim will not be “COVERED with lice”. Well, as so often, I’d say the truth lies somewhere between your version and the ‘official story.’

To begin with, it needs to be noted that the Soviet POW’s began starving in the summer. It wasn’t like they were being fed, then the winter crisis came on, and the Germans just didn’t have any spare rail capacity for whatever Purina makes for POW’s.

I don’t think starving the Russian POW’s to death was a deliberate choice. Had the Germans captured only a hundred thousand, or had there been ample food available locally, it probably wouldn’t have occurred to them to starve their prisoners.

On the other hand, when the situation arose, and the Germans had four million prisoners or whatever, they proved singularly indifferent to their fate. These were disproportionately young, fit males — they should have been rather hard to kill. To compare, under the Japanese — who were infamously inhumane with their prisoners — if memory serves, only thirty percent of the Americans and British taken captive over the course of nearly four years of brutal mistreatment and starvation. On the other hand, after only six months of captivity, something like eighty percent of all the Soviets taken prisoner were dead. To me, that suggests no effort was made to feed them at all.

Even given their unreadiness for such a deluge of captives, and even given the difficulties involved in either bringing food to the captives or bringing the captives to the food, the Germans could have done a lot better — if they hadn’t been perfectly content to see the Russians die of starvation.

In point of fact, isolated camps did do a lot better; apparently, if the commandant actually saw it as his duty to try to keep the Russians alive, that alone made a marked difference. No one could work miracles — but that eighty percent death rate was the product of not just the circumstances, but indifference.

The Russians starved to death because the Germans didn’t mind seeing them starve to death. I think that’s fair to say. No doubt many would have died regardless of what attitude the Germans adopted, but perhaps three hundred thousand, not three million.

Calling death by typhoid fever, typhus, dysentery, and cholera “natural causes” is stretching the meaning of the term beyond the breaking point. All four diseases are entirely preventable by the simplest of measures such as laundry service and water uncontaminated by sewage. Perhaps the Germans were “acclaimed engineers” unable to design and build a laundry, or perhaps German SLAVE LABOR CAMPS were operated with such incompetence it is indistinguishable from a theater of sadist abuse, most likely the German SLAVE LABOR CAMPS were both slave labor camps AND theaters of sadistic abuse.

The UK jet engine was superior to the German, the UK had solved the metallurgy problem plaguing the fan, the Germans never did and hence German jet engines needed complete overhauls after a mere 8 hours operation time, often less, frequently ME-262s would limp home on one engine, the other having gone kaput. The essential innovation Bell Aircraft brought was placing the engine inside the fuselage behind the pilot with air intakes on either side of the nose, the configuration used by jet fighters today. The UK’s Meteor had many problems as a result of having the engines buried in the wing. The Bell Aircraft configuration allows the radar to be placed in the optimal location, the nose, and makes optimal use of the fuselage.

REALISTIC top speed for a battle weight ME-262 was 520mph, and it needed TWO ENGINES to achieve this BOTH operating optimally, which was rarely the case, and not for long. An 8hour service life of the fan was common(unlike the British, the Germans never solved the metallurgy problem with the fan). Besides the need for two jet engines to achieve performance, the ME-262 needed two because of in flight breakdowns, ME-262’s frequently limped home on one engine. Those cool looking swept wings of the ME-262 weren’t there because it needed them, but because it was first designed as a tail dragger, a very bad design decision with jets. To be entirely fair on the J-15/Liaoning fiasco, my understanding is Variag was designed to deploy the carrier based version of the Mig-29, a much lighter aircraft than the Su-33. Liaoning is the rebuilt Variag. The J-15 is merely a ripoff of the Su-33(China bought one S-33 from the sleazy Ukrainians). Liaoning is useful to train ship crew, and for pilots to practice carrier landing, but a very expensive way to do that, and it will never be a working warship or even useful to practice carrier operations. What perplexes me is why build Shandong? Is China planning to tear out the ski jump bow of both Liaoning and Shandong and rebuild both bows much larger to accomodate catapults, and why not do that from the start? Is that even possible without wrecking the balance of the ships? The whole affair is so screwy I have to ask myself am I missing something here? I consider China presently to have zero aircraft carriers with one under construction. I assume the new hull will be sized for the J-15.

The SPLC has enormous credential and influence, particularly among activist minded individuals and institutions, and can easily motivate both to inflict material damage on Mr. Nelson personally and on any organization or individual, public or private, he is associated with. He looks this way now because he used steroids to get those Mr. World muscles. When you use steroids you inflate like a balloon, stop the steroids and its like letting the air out of a balloon. If he had trained without steroids he would not have got nearly as big, but today he would have nearly the same physique as when he was young. Problem is, when you’re in competition, and you’re young and stupid(same thing), it is impossible to say no to steroids. Steroid muscles aren’t real muscles anyway, and girls don’t like the roid monkey look, but the homosexuals do, so why do it? Also there are bizarre side effects no one talks about. I was in a “Muscle Mag” shop, and there was a girl in there that knew the owner and was interested in these guys. One came in and she propositioned him. The owner said “you can use my office”. The TV show Wonder Woman was also feminist propaganda aimed at young girls. I remember my 5 year old sister watching it and turning to my Mom and saying “See Mom, girls are better than boys.” Interestingly, my 5 year old sister’s favorite show was Dukes Of Hazard, that was what she was naturally attracted to. The Sonny And Cher Show was also an early example of TV feminist propaganda, the opening always featured Cher on stage with Sonny, insulting the hell out of him, and he standing there and taking it.

Schwarzenegger was a truly great body builder, his physique had “aesthetic unity”, today that scene is a nauseating freak show. Arnie was total crap as an actor. I really enjoyed the first Conan, but Arnie all but ruined it. Same with martial arts movies, you don’t use real martial artists as stars, you give special training to brilliant actors. The Japanese directors pre-1974 understood this and their movies are profound as a result. The Bruce Lee movies are crap, bad scripts and Bruce Lee was a crap actor. The only good scene in Enter The Dragon was the Hong Kong harbor scene with the water taxi, a sampan powered by a chick with a baby on her back wielding a Yulow(Chinese sculling oar) like a master. She even makes a 90 degree turn using the Yulow. Bruce Lee exudes that thin skinned, brittle egotism of the Chinese male that makes them totally intolerable, but the Chinese male’s numerous faults make them ideal chumps to start WWIII. The Nose knows this, gawd, are we ever in for it……

You didn’t “catch” anything, Trinity, stop acting like a snarky girl. Here in Toronto, there was a Muscle Mag shop on Yonge north of College for years, don’t know or care if its still there. I was there because I was hanging with a friend that knew the owner, my friend wanted to say hello, and I got a window on stuff that no one talks about. I have lifted too, and I agree with you that the guys that work hard ARE very humble, they know what it is like to train to exhaustion, and that humbles you. I got bored with weights, and training indoors in a gym. I agree with you about the ridiculous martial arts scene, I’ve been in them for the free first lesson, and walked, never to return. The dojo’s are generally commercial operations, and squeeze their students by teaching as little as possible for the maximum amount of money, plus selling uniforms etc. However, you have a bad attitude toward martial arts that comes from ignorance. I don’t use the term “martial arts”, just ” training”. About ten years ago I switched to training out of doors and I chose the walking stick as my weapon as you can carry on the street. I chose the forgotten skill of “reverse grip”, and recreated the art myself, no lessons are available(there is Arturo Bonafont’s book from 1900, there is one translation to English available, but Bonafont has some imperfect technique). Training “reverse grip” is fantastic muscle conditioning, and it conditions the tendons too that lifting does not, plus I have acquired a fair skill at it. I highly recommend it. It uses a straight stick with no handle, so you get to carry an elegant weapon. A walking stick is only a useful weapon with considerable training, it is not for those unwilling to commit to YEARS of hard training. I train to exhaustion, the police have shown up five times, now they know me and don’t bother me. You must chose a “martial art” that corresponds to the threat you commonly face, there is no generalized skill like you see in movies. Cops train in ground fighting because they need to subdue resisting detainees, and no detainee will shank a cop, he knows he will attend his first hearing in a wheelchair. I’m a civvie, I will get shanked, or kicked in the head by his buds, so no ground fighting for me. I have never been threatened by less than three assholes, so I chose The Stick. Its weak point is it can be grabbed by your adversary, but a ferocious, continuous attack neutralizes that threat. Boxing is a great “martial art” because of its simplicity, but its best one on one, which I have never experienced. That’s enough for now…..
