Many of the girls freaked out from too much, too soon. They got hit with a massive case of agoraphobia from all the new open psychic, emotional and physical space and reacted badly. They had everyone in the media and in schools kept telling them that not only could they have it all, but they could do anything just like, no, better than, the boys have since time immemorial, and someone else would pay for it. Add in some heavy-handed pressure and moral suasion in the war on boys and the prior stasis, such as it was, gets upset.

That gets amped up with the manipulation of tender young psyches and self-images courtesy of FB, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter or whatever new platform can monetize their free content. Adolescence used to be challenging enough when people only had landlines, localized feedback loops and we might now call more grounded support networks. Now the world looks on and seems to demand constant action by each little snowflake, since all the cool kids are doing it already. Many kids couldn’t resist that, self-defaced and self-medicated and some might even survive to attempt Adulting.

I didn’t say that Lena Dunham was appalling because she was fat, which she clearly is.
Her ugliness and bitterness is something much deeper inside projected on her face as ugliness outside.

If this little privileged twit (her parents opened LOTS of doors for her) showed a little more cheer, grace and joy to be alive she could look fine.

To be clear I’m not blaming women for their ugliness, merely speculating about what about our toxic culture has made them have such ugly attitudes that can be read in their faces. Nobody disputes how hard it is to compete with lots of beautiful virtual competition projected in the media. But we need to be teaching our young men and women to have more realistic expectations about life, some real stoicism, to find gratitude for the gifts we do get rather than bitterness, envy and ressentiment for all the things we wish we had.

Regarding my own preferences, I’d much prefer a healthy cheerful lady built like Lena Dunham than the usual crop of bitter damaged twits no matter how thin they are. You’re projecting too much bad faith.

It’s good to open our eyes in compassion to see how brutal hidden intrasexual competition is.

Some of that morning time invested may not actually yield many real beauty dividends, but a lot of what looks effortless might have taken some real effort.

In fact? Perhaps you wouldn’t mind sharing from where you’ve concluded this particular “fact?”

Sure all men will look longingly at lingerie models like they might covet an Italian sports car, but in relationships they are much more willing to make compromises with imperfect women who might be a grade or two below them. Meanwhile women’s hypergamy drives them to insist on a fellow who’s a notch or two better than she is in terms of status & success. Watching my fellow lonely guys and the women they’re chasing, it’s obvious they are making some serious compromises. The flighty and flaky darlings aren’t able ever to commit or settle because there are plenty of higher caliber dudes willing to tempt them and spoil them with a roll in the hay, even if they would never deign to make a relationship with a woman that much below their level. I can completely empathize with their mindset. It would be similarly hard for guys who’ve hooked up with lingerie models to later settle on marrying the plain jane next door. But the hotties hardly or never really engage in dumpster diving like those horny dogs among men do.

Too much freedom is disorienting, especially as disconnected from all roots of family, tradition, custom, obligation and responsibility. Rebellion is probably a universal instinct of the young trying to assert their own independence with regard to established society. But since we’ve deconstructed almost all taboos and non-judgmentalism & tolerance are the only values that remain, demanding that we accept and celebrate every perversion and subversion of previous values and norms… including beauty standards in this example.

An old girlfriend back in Europe used to be quite a passionate dressage rider. Unfamiliar with the sport, I went with her to watch one of the shows / competitions. Something about how the horses were so tightly restrained under reigns and “forced” to perform such stilted rigid exercises for show offended my American sensibilities of how we raise our children and let our pets go wild and live according to the whim of their nature. The horses where sweating like crazy and foaming at the mouth as they struggled to conform to the dressage rider commands and perform as trained. My girlfriend explained that it was completely natural and the horses were actually quite happy to be performing. What looked like work and stress and burden was actually satisfying achievement as the culmination of all their training. On the one hand I found this hard to believe and perhaps only a Prussian’s rationalization for the kind of discipline and torment for the sake of sport and entertainment, the explanations of the weird neuroses & complexes horses get if they’re not properly trained and worked and merely left alone and idle made it seem plausible that their sanity actually depended on the load.

Perhaps it’s odd to compare women (and men) to horses, but without being under reigns and disciplined to conform to some order we might just lose our minds. Since I’ve moved to this G*d forsaken left coast Moloch, almost all of the white women I’ve been meeting have some kind of a crazy complex. These committed childless by choicers have acquired a taste for indulging themselves in play, adventure, travel & distraction. They’ve made themselves the children instead of having children of their own. On the one hand they’re completely free spirits, worshiping the self and on some kind of perpetual restless mission chasing a mirage of self-actualization, on the other hand they’ve substituted the strictures old religion based on G*d, original sin, fasting & church with a new one based on faith in recycling, yoga, organic vegan food and Pussy Marches instead of Sunday Church Services. Furthermore, this new age “secular” piety has stoked a spirit of aggressive evangelism means that they’re filled with an even worse intolerant sanctimony that makes them demand everybody else live and conform according to their newly acquired beliefs. Perhaps having cast off the old ways so recently makes them feel particularly insecure and naked that they feel compelled to embrace the new with a panicked fervor to cover that up.

Who am I to say which if any of these idols are false? But whatever happened to the skepticism that made them so ready to question the old previous order? Why aren’t they questioning the new nonsense stuff in the spirit of questioning everything?

Ultimately the reason for the current generation’s unhappiness is probably very simple. We promised and demanded too much… without giving the framework, structure and discipline into which healthy character can unfold. Whether in such TV shows as the Dog Whisperer or the Super Nanny, unhealthy personalities are on display having been deformed from being indulged… too much nature and not enough cultivation… Weeds gone to seed. If horses go crazy mad because they don’t get trained and exercised and Cesar Milan has to teach dog owners to show their pets who’s the alpha in the household hierarchy, what conclusions can we draw about how we’re letting our sons and daughters down failing to teach them how to integrate into the social & family hierarchy? Now I can hardly blame the most recent generation for abdicating this responsibility. The revolutions of their generation tore everything of the old order up and there is no idea much less consensus about what comes next about how the social hierarchy should look, except that crude obsession about how all the positions of power and privilege should statistically reflect the distribution of men, women and racial minorities of the community at large. Other than that, our sons and daughters have been on their own to reinvent a lifestyle in the genderfluid egalitarian post-Christian and post-family world. By now it should be pretty obvious that G*d is of course dead. In the west nobody lives their belief & fear of G*d play an important role in their everyday life. What’s next is the inevitability of the withering of the family as a social institution. The trends are clear and one might predict that in 2 – 3 generations, whoever inherits the territory will look at marriage as a peculiar old-fashioned obsolete institution like we now look at the Amish.

The despair is written in their faces and on their skin.

It’s really sad.

Little girls in America don’t start out looking like zombie monster wraiths. Something in our culture breaks them between the time of adolescence and adulthood. I can only speculate, but I think some combination of an unrealistic promise of the unlimited possibilities and the inability of the American Dream to deliver such grand Hollywood fed exaggerated expectations.

Can’t be the hottie that all the coveted Mr. Bigs chase? Instead of making the most of her potential, she’ll deface her gifts with the unnatural disfigurement and abuse… perhaps to spite the G*ds…

Everyday I’m astonished at the increasing degree of madness exhibited in the extraordinary efforts young women take to make themselves look outrageous and monstrous. I’m seeing several specimens every day of the increasing numbers of little delicate “bearded transmen.” This growing new fad is probably the next step in ever ratcheting outrageous rebellion… a fashion that’s probably a long way from having crested… We’ll certainly be seeing much much more of it than we can imagine. Two decades ago, who could have predicted that so many women would be getting tattooed? Already in 2012, about 40% of Americans had gotten tattoos by the age of 29 of whom tattooed women outnumbered tattooed men.

AD, Amazing how little self esteem you see in a lot of today’s American women, and I don’t just mean young women. Tattoos are a permanent experiment, unlike hair coloring. And I forgot to add the hideous shades of lip color including black, purple and brown.

You bring up a great point.

The opportunity for women to be bombarded by hotter women is a facet of modern society, firstly because of media as you mentioned, but also secondly because of the relaxation of dress codes. There was a time when it was scandalous to have an exposed knee, after all, so to a large extent all of those other women had to keep it covered up.

But there is also a crucial corollary which is that communities used to accord a lot of social status to women for being wives and mothers and grandmothers etc, once they were older or even when younger. Nowadays that has gone away, so women have the double whammy of no status for being themselves combined with facing constant bombardment of more attractive peers.

So there is the kernel of a legitimate point in that article, but the idea that men are responsible for this is laughable, and furthermore women who studies have shown rate 80% of men as below average are the last people who should be complaining about shallow standards in the opposite sex.

I volunteer in the inner city of Buffalo. Recently, due to a fire, I had to change my route. Travelling down Moselle St.’ which is maybe a mile long, I counted 28 vacant lots where houses formerly stood. This is my childhood neighborhood. Every store or business I pass has glass block side windows, security gates at the doors, steel roll up shutters on the store front and visible security cameras. There is enough trash and litter in the streets and against the curbs to fill dumpsters and yet nearby is a shiny new school building (corner of Sycamore and Walden) with all the bells and whistles. The Buffalo News last week featured a front page article describing how the City of Buffalo’s housing dept. spent $4.3 million dollars to rehab 10 inner city homes. They spent a jaw dropping $530K to rehab one house that they then sold for $100K. A Habitat for Humanity crew from my suburban town, mostly old farts like me, was beaten and robbed of cash and tools trying to rehab a house in the city. So, I’m sorry that I can’t form a more cogent thought, but I think the NYT Editorial Board is full of shit and I would gladly say that and more to their face but I don’t run in their circles and I don’t see them volunteering in mine. Money is not the answer and responsibility is. Couple this article to their one about the young unwed mother of three whose health problems are the result of racism and you get a Mobius band of never ending pot stirring.

It’s not white racism, but government “assistance” which contributes to this pathology. Blacks were doing well enough for themselves before the nanny state began to subsidize ill behavior (in ALL ethnicities), and even before abolition, when many of them worked extra for the cash to buy their way out of slavery early. But don’t take it from this white devil: that self-sufficient, reparations-rejecting, self-loathing Negro, economics professor Walter Williams, and his colleague, Thomas Sowell, agree. And Diamond and Silk. And Tommy Sotomayer. And Wilt Alston. And Robert Wicks. And my Kenyan neighbor (in my 96% white, <1% black town in Massachusetts). Even many Blacks concede that many aspects of the Black American culture are broken and dysfunctional, but could there be more fundamental differences between Old World and New World Blacks?

Has anybody investigated the characteristics & composition of the West African “losers” that the West African “winners” captured and sold to the European slavers? If South Asia was a case of collisions of “winner” and “loser” tribes that later expressed themselves in persistent caste systems, then perhaps the victors of that particular intertribal competition & conflict represent a collision that selected the low-potential, low energy & low initiative “losers” for a destiny in the New World…? If India is now sending its high potential talented tenth Brahmins to America, it’s safe to assume that those Africans captured and sold into slavery were not necessarily that continent’s talented tenth.

Also, were the centuries of being bred for generations in captivity as slaves and then as captive dependents on the social welfare state plantation enough time to select for characteristics that could have contributed to the kinds of divergence in personality and behavior that you note between Old World and New World Blacks?

Canarsie suffered a rise in burglaries and muggings in the late 1970s, but most local police considered the neighborhood relatively safe. However, the residents could not sequester themselves away from the rest of the metropolis. They lived next door to some of the highest crime areas in the entire city. To work, to visit, and to shop, they had to travel back and forth through the city, and their mobility made them vulnerable to attack. I met few residents who were strangers to street crime. If they had not been victimized, usually only one link in the chain of intimacy separated them from the victims-kin, neighbors, and friends. Canarsians spoke about crime with more unanimity than they achieved on any other subject, and they spoke often and forcefully. Most had a favorite story of horror. A trucker remembered defecating in his pants a few years earlier when five black youths cornered him in an elevator and placed a knifeblade against his throat. “They got two hundred dollars and a gold watch. They told me, `Listen you white motherfucker, you ain’t calling the law.’ I ran and got in my car and set off the alarm. A group of blacks got around the car. If anybody made a move, I’d have run them over. The police came and we caught one of them. The judge gave them a fucking two-year probation.” The experience left an indelible imprint. He still relived the humiliation of soiling himself. … In Canarsie High School, violence between the races had broken the peace recurrently since the school was completed in the 1960s. By 1977 the student population was 27 percent black. The school was not a wildly dangerous place, nor did antagonism prevent friendships from forming across the barrier of race, and students were not all equally likely to become embroiled in disputes. Yet the mixing of adolescent boys from different economic and racial backgrounds grounds created a tinderbox in which a simple dispute could turn into full-fledged racial war. In the absence of agreement on territorial rights, hostile factions vied for primacy in hallways, classrooms, stairwells, bathrooms, the lunchroom, playgrounds, and exits. I’m going to make myself unpopular around here, but I really envy and even sometimes admire the willingness to engage in real talk about social problems that one might hear from immigrant Asians and sometimes even from immigrant Hispanics and immigrant Africans.

I’m not optimistic about enough of a broad majority of “Christian” and post-Christian bleedy-heart Whites growing a backbone to stand up to the moochers, hooligans and trouble-makers that manage to extort the unlimited support and patience that has enabled dysfunction & chaos to take over our communities since after WWII. If you ask me why we can’t have nice things, aside from the obvious direct causes, the primary indirect cause has been the inability of the legacy European-American population steeped in patience, trust, generosity and general good-heartedness to call the moochers & trouble-makers what they are and tell them to go to hell when they continuously emotion extort them for more support and goodies. Even if the bulk of good-whites are hardly “Christian” you better believe they’ve been molded by perversions of famous Christian lessons like the “Good Samaritan” and it’s obvious that they’ve also internalized the attitude of “turning the other cheek.”

Around here we like to joke that we need foreigners & immigrants to jobs that Americans simply won’t do, like reproducing and having babies. Perhaps we can at least look forward to immigrants showing backbone and feeling free to say things that would get White Americans crucified or at the very least excoriated. Anybody else notice that whenever there’s some uncomfortable truth to be said, that the only voices that will get legitimate attention for these statements are People of Color? Any White person who suggests anything less than total forgiveness, generosity and indulgence invites judgment as some kind of a Nazi to which any minority is automatically immune. Any White person who has the guts to say what’s on the minds of so many is beyond the pale, gets unpersoned, ignored and dismissed as an Alt-Right or Nazi Monster. Yet one more way Whites enjoy less freedom… significantly restricted liberty to engage in public discourse about controversial issues with a severely restricted range of opinions allowed when compared privileged ethnic minorities. I really don’t see this particular Overton Window shifting in my lifetime, so if it takes the Asian minorities to stand up for law and order against the real troublemakers in the schools or against the junkie-zombies that are a scourge on our public spaces, I’m glad to have their voices as a proxy for the opinions I’m not free to express.

Barry O advanced rapidly on his lofty rhetoric, but when it came to governing & executing his vision, he retreated to the golf course because he never learned how. Being a legislator, where one’s primary product is hot air & cheap talk is a huge difference from being an executive where one actually has to deliver results that depend on the performance & consensus. Because the world was so eager to hold all the doors open and grade this young fellow on a curve, he never had to cultivate the grit and scars that might have actually enabled him to learn how to be a more effective executive. He blames an hostile do-nothing Republican Congress for his resignation in the face of their opposition. However knowing what kind of disagreeable jerks they were, why did he campaign for a “contract extension” in 2012 if he knew he couldn’t get along with such distasteful “colleagues?”

In our careers, most of us don’t get to choose our colleagues. What defines our success is our ability to perform even with difficult people not of our choosing. Barry’s low energy and passivity were yet more evidence of how favoritism of certain minority individuals means that they won’t be challenged to cultivate their strengths to reach their full potential. As notoriously prickly as Barry was, coddled people remain essentially too soft and agreeable to become the the demanding personalities necessary to get excellence & performance from their teams.

I think I recall from my high school psychology class back in the dark ages they explained that some psychologist once made the assertion that “criminals” have lower IQs than the general population after testing the IQs of imprisoned convicts and comparing these to non-convicts.

Apparently they had to discredit those conclusions because it turned out that the convict prison population only represented criminals dumb enough to get caught & convicted.

Are we conflating a whole bunch of different variables here? Would it surprise anybody if genetically determined natural endowments of intelligence, conscientiousness, aggression, etc all had significant consequences in the likelihood to engage in criminal behavior as well as the likelihood to be a “successful” criminal and avoid getting caught?

Living in one of these free havens for Cannabis enthusiasts, I often smell the skunky clouds coming out of many, many passing cars while I’m on foot or bicycle. I’ve asked some cops if that’s enough cause to stop the motorists. No way for probable cause or legal search they explained. It sounds like they get clear priorities from higher ups about which crimes to prosecute and which to ignore.

They’re too busy prosecuting the right priorities for maintaining the proper anarcho-tyranny we’ve all come to appreciate.

The Obamas chose these portraitists, so they got every bit of what they deserve. These paintings break so many rules of classical art that it’s hard to know where to begin. There is too much green around Obama — the subject should have occupied much more of the canvas — and the flowers are too small, relative to the greenery. Obama also looks photo-shopped, as I believe most or all of the painting was. Probably printed to canvas and painted over. Along with the off-putting way he is sitting, the hands were one of the first things I noticed — not the extra digit on the left hand, but the size, which I assume to be a taunt at Trump. And the fact that this so-called “artist” has a fetish for painting blacks decapitating whites? Incredible, but oddly fitting.

As far as Michelle’s portrait goes…the kindest thing that can be said about it is that it looks like folk art. It is flat, without any sophisticated blending of colors to create flesh tones (I read that that was purposeful, but that’s an easy out for lack of talent or training). The dress is too dominant, and the background is too pale and monotone. The face looks vaguely like Michelle but is too small for the size of the painting. It’s a painting of a dress that happens to have a woman in it.

A fitting end, is it not, for these two? And the beauty of it all is, they did it to themselves.

It would seem that many of America’s most noteworthy “diversity success stories” are skin-deep; mere straw-men fronting for 3rd rate talent subcontractors & ghost-writers.

Makes sense. Create an incentive system that rewards appearances more than anything else, we shouldn’t be surprised. Reminds me of that fabulous Atlanta African-American woman government contractor / racketeer that was recently in the news.

Why cultivate experience and talent to create value when merely adding a little sheen of diversity is rewarded so much more richly than actually producing anything?

IBM claims the information that Lindsay-Rae McIntyre possesses — including confidential data about diversity, strategies and initiatives — can cause “real and immediate competitive harm” if she’s allowed to move immediately to Microsoft. IBM sued to enforce a one-year non-competition agreement.

Leon Caril, 38, is charged with second-degree murder for Andrew Pimentel’s slaying.

The attack occurred about 2 a.m. Friday at the Dick’s, located in the 500 block of Queen Anne Avenue North.

A co-worker and friend of Pimentel told a detective that he, Pimentel and another friend were sitting on a curb outside Dick’s eating the food they just bought when a man across the street threw a 2-liter bottle at them. The friend reportedly said, “That is a good way to get your ass kicked.” The man who threw the bottle then headed toward them with a knife in hand. The friend told his group to run, but Pimentel reportedly remained on the curb. The man stabbed him three times in the chest and torso.

Another witness said the attacker uttered racist comments about white people as he came after the group and that he appeared to look around for another victim to stab after stabbing Pimentel.

Senior Deputy Prosecutor Adrienne McCoy wrote in a court memo that a witness shouted, “Are you crazy? What are you doing?” The assailant reportedly replied, “Do you want to get stabbed, too?” before crossing the street again to collect his luggage and walk away.

Officers ordered the man to the ground and detained him. He reportedly admitted the knife used in the attack was in the front pocket of his suitcase. Officers found a bloody 12-inch bowie knife in a sheath.

Caril reportedly said the victim “was talking sh*t behind my back, so I stabbed him in the chest,” according to charging documents. He also allegedly said, “Take me to jail, I am ready for my 50 years.”

Seattle’s surly homeless, junkies and zombies are very scary. They have absolutely nothing to lose. Law enforcement doesn’t scare them. They can act and threaten the public with impunity and that they do.

As economic activity and opportunity becomes ever more concentrated in America’s few crowded and expensive “Winner” cities, I wonder if they’ll evolve informal systems of restriction that in practice converge with and resemble China’s Hukou more than we can imagine? While we may abandon external national borders, internal barriers will likely increase to insulate people from the unpleasantness and confrontations that waste their time and drain their mental energy. Already gated communities, secured campuses and business improvement districts struggle to assert order against the anarchy, asocial behavior and filth that have been invited, subsidized and enabled by elected civic officials. Meanwhile, like China’s “illegal” but tolerated internal migrants, our immigrants and ambitious hopeful young people crowd into apartments and homes to levels of squalor and hardship that would shock ordinary Americans not accustomed to the lifestyles of $hithole favelas.

Classical economics suggests that in open global economies, incomes eventually converge worldwide.
Should we perhaps also expect cultures and lifestyles converge to adapt to similarly crowded brutal inhuman urban life?

In the spirit of boycotting tyranny, recent days have seen me seriously considering what other mobile ecosystem options exist to be able to exit the distasteful duopoly of Apple and Google. Odd that the only real direction that occurred to me would be to side with a company from Red China in hope that a Huwaei or Lenovo eventually gets enough momentum of its own give the two leaders from California a real challenge and eventually to provide a genuine alternative.

For all the whining about their “plight,” black women have the best deal of anyone in the US. That’s why they vote for democrats at rates of roughly 100%.

I have known and worked with a few working class white women who, if they were black, would be managing a bank branch or something along those lines. I have had to deal with black women workers whose level of incompetency, rudeness and sense of entitlement would have gotten anyone else fired. Also, there’s straight-up welfare discrimination in favor of black women. All else being equal, they are more likely to have section 8, SNAP, TANF etc. They are also overrepresented in college, far surpassing black males in that regard despite the appetite for black male athletes.

Black men, on the other hand, don’t get so many breaks. They get hammered by the administrative state, they are routinely ejected from their families, and treated like dangerous animals by the courts. I know a lot of people here on iSteve think they deserve it, and some do, but they exercise remarkable restraint given the behavior of their women. I have observed this on a number of occasions myself. One of our biggest sins as a nation is our ongoing destruction of the tenuous black father figure. Seems precious few have learned anything from Mark Twain’s best work.

Trump and republicans in general have nothing to lose by championing the cause of black men. Black women aren’t going to vote for Trump anyway, so he could only make gains by pledging to halt the ongoing destruction of black fatherhood.

Reading between the lines, Carroll had a privileged childhood, and now she’s paid for her words by wide-reaching publications such as the Guardian, she has a high-profile media job many young strivers would kill for, she’s got a husband and a child — and yet everything is terrible, awful, oppressive.

Back in the early 1990s, when I was in grad school, where the Cult of Victimization was fueling up and testing its engines, no one warned us its full-throttle expression would be so boring.

I agree that Obama is not trash, but that should be a pretty low bar for anybody to clear no matter the hue of his complexion. Yet I disagree that he was remarkably disciplined. On the contrary he coasted from Choom Gang to Occidental and then on through the Ivy League he continued to coast as the First Black President of the Harvard Law Review. Then he coasted as a professional community organizer and an undistinguished career teaching law at University of Chicago. Certainly disciplined enough get by as good enough, but he never showed a burning energy and serious passion. Perhaps the world ruined him by spoiling him when it was always too eager to see Obama as a magical amulet talisman filled with some mysterious “eldritch energies” instead of demanding more from him to develop his potential?

Obama is a tragic example of wasted potential. He might have been the last leader who had a real opportunity to unite and heal the nation’s rifts, had he had the courage to stand up to the destructive demagoguery coming from factions aligned with his side? Instead he wasted a wide mandate that gave him wide legitimacy from all parts of the nation and across all segments of the population. Instead of governing with energy, courage and principle, he failed to find his own backbone and let those from his own base destroy that wide mandate. The opportunity he wasted was much rarer than once in a generation… Perhaps those more conversant in American history than I can suggest a parallel from before when weak leadership meant a missed opportunity to make difficult maneuvers that might have avoided the Civil War.

Why is it that all these professional wokies, the social justice crusaders, are only able to share their own stories and more than reporting on stories that they’ve gathered with hard work and careful research? Journalism and commentary has seriously declined in the Slate / Salon / Atlantic / Jezebel / TeenVogue school of confessional victim memoirs. At least Sabrina Rubin Erdely was TRYING to report on somebody else’s account because even she knew that she didn’t have enough bona fide personal suffering as a victim to get the kind of attention and foaming outrage. Well we all remember how that turned out when she went looking for a particular story and found a perfect accomplice willing to give her exactly what she wanted to see.

Otherwise it’s always about “MY experiences” “MY feelings” “MY suffering” and “MY experience.” It’s as if this generation of journalists and commentators has never learned to peer outside its own life experience. Perhaps an unsurprising solipsism after being steeped in a stew of postmodern subjectivity that glorified personal experience of suffering and rejected striving for any objective perspectives…

Maybe they’re just lazy and the postmodern justifications were catnip for rationalizing their solipsism? Their demand for attention, justice and empathy makes the hypocrisy all the sadder that their own capability for empathy has either atrophied or never developed. A dangerous development in society when the next generation is populated by such a concentration of solipsism that is unable to see the humanity of other citizens outside themselves or imagine life from the perspective of those different experiences. Funny how it’s been especially those wokies who have prepared fertile ground for fascism or worse.

I’d always assumed that the folks in power were corrupt, but in my naivete I could never have imagined in my wildest fantasies the craven depths of their cunning. Which brings me to the following speculation: What if Weinstein’s dirty tricks operations uncovered some truly heinous dirt, that enabled him to “own” the Crooked Clinton Clan? Anybody care to join me in the speculations?
