An interesting question. If we're going to delve into history, I would say maybe it was the Jacobins in Revolutionary France who encouraged the blacks in Haiti to revolt and kill their ideological enemy, the French colonists, which they did. The warmonger and tyrant Lincoln cynically encouraged black southern slaves to revolt as a means of impairing the South's war effort, cynically because he freed only those slaves in the states that had seceded and not in those states that did not secede, and he made no such declaration for the first two years of the war.

I notice that, unlike today, Lincoln's Congress did not question his authority to declare a whole series of National Emergencies, many blatantly unconstitutional. So you could say that Lincoln was the first American to use blacks as shock troops against political enemies. It was a bit early to say that Jews were behind Lincoln's declaration, especially since Jews in 1860 may have actually owned black slaves at a higher per capita rate than did Southerners, so they had little incentive to back any effort to free slaves, whether in the US or elsewhere. But after all, the slave trade was historically a Jewish specialty.

Things changed by 1900. With the advent of Jews like Karl Marx, Franz Boas, and Trotsky, and near-Jews like Lenin, all fanatically devoted to the ideology of the Blank Slate but at the same time even more fanatically devoted to the rights of racial minorities (especially themselves as Jews), it did not take long before American Jews began to champion the rights of blacks. I would say no later than 1910 did wealthy Jews begin to see poor American blacks as an ideal tool to deflect attention from the fact of their own excessive wealth and influence. From there it was only a small step to using blacks as a street militia manipulated to attack only the perceived enemies of Jews. And here we are.

If Trump really thinks that pleasing the Chamber of Commerce is going to deliver him victory in 2020, he deserves to lose by virtue of stupidity alone. Forget the actual disaster this is going to be policy-wise for our national interests: just plain political stupidity.

It doesn't matter in the long run, though, There seems to be a strong delusion among the CPAC types that, if they could just find the right messenger for Conservatism Inc, they'll be back in the saddle, that they'll somehow convince either Hispanics or white-working class Rust Belters (equally delusional) to handsomely reward them for their oligarch-fetishism. The problem isn't the messenger: it is the ideology. It's rotten. Foreign policy, socioeconomically, politically, it was totally bankrupted by George W. Bush and the in-thrall-to-mental-escapism GOP that followed, and isn't going to become any less bankrupt by Trump's failures. It'll never win a Presidential election again, because it doesn't benefit anybody except Republican donors and a few other select groups, none of whom have the votes necessary to win a Presidential election. It is that simple. And 2012 should prove that the people who put Trump in office will be willing to sit home if the GOP insists on nominating the usual suspects against all electoral common sense.

Another populist insurgent is going to pop up in the GOP eventually. Maybe not in the next election cycle or two, but eventually someone is going to pick up on the vacuum and decide to take advantage of it. That someone is likely going to be less of a clown, and whatever his own feelings, learn from Trump that his political power rests on his appeal to the masses, not to the K-Street boys. And unless they can cook up some kind of super-delegate mechanism like the Democrats, he's going to win the nomination, no matter how much money or negative media coverage the TrueCons try to throw against him.

We have some old friends who are Orthodox Jews. They come to all our Christian ceremonies such as Christenings, Mass, weddings, etc. We attend their Jewish rites for similar milestones. If they hate all things Christian they are very good at hiding their hatred.

There probably are some odious Jews who stew in irrational hatreds but I suspect they are a very small minority.

The issue turns on several axis.

1. what is the over riding ethos of the population adhering to

2. whether the traits of diversity are ideological or merely benign biology.

Of course a common ideology can bind people together. How much that is possible is highly dependent on the level of import and meaning they place on said differences. But if it is benign biological traits, that bond is only limited by the nature of their intent. Black child born in Great Britain can embrace all that is British.

The debate about Jews who if derived from Europe are predominantly white. Doesn't matter how much whites want to disown them, they are largely white. That said, the differences are ideological in nature and as with Muslims white or otherwise, those ideological differences are going to be very tough to reconcile on several fronts. In Great Britain, many of those differences were decided by outright conflict and over time have settled to into an embrace of sorts, despite the differences.

And while Muslims from the Middle East have a long and conflict ridden history with Europeans, there's plenty of evidence that they as British citizens could be incorporated into British society. I am not British (sigh). These issues are for the Brits to settle. But I would agree that Britain does not have stop being Britain and anyone who decides they wish to live in Britain accepts that they are rejecting whatever they were before to the extent that it interferes with becoming a British citizen and adhering to what Britain is.

Britain can even deal what she sees as errors against others, deal with it and still remain British. In short if Sharia law or the Talmud interfere with adopting the national identity as to the laws and ethos, said followers of the Talmud and Sharia, should consider living somewhere else.

It's like foreigners who come to the US and expect that the US recognize their particular practices and beliefs at home as an expectation. Uhhh, nope, learn the language, the history and ideology of you new home.

In Europe, the poorest and most backward whites are the Muslims of Albania and Chechnya.

The main problem is not one of uncontrolled masses scaling the fences, but a humanitarian challenge created as thousands [hundred of thousands] of migrant families surge into remote areas where the administration has so far failed to devote sufficient resources to care for them, as is required under the law.

From my personal experiences...
I lived in Detroit and had what I considered to be "good" neighbors. Mind you, not "good black" neighbors, but just good neighbors whose skin color did not matter. We helped each other, whenever possible, looked out for each other, and had friendly relations, shared family events, barbecues and other social events.
The "troubles" started when my "good neighbors" invited their "ghetto rat" relatives to their parties. I restored an old car to near showroom condition and used to park it in my driveway. The "ghetto rats" decided that my car would be a good place to sit (on the hood). Asking them to remove themselves was met with responses of f#ck you" and other derogatory responses. Upon discussing the situation with my "good neighbor", he pretty much told me that "boys will be boys" and to "suck it up" and "get over it". My friendly relations with that neighbor cooled, as he was not willing to straighten out his "ghetto rat" relatives. Soon after, these "ghetto rats" found new avenues in which to ply their criminal "stock in trade"- breaking in to and ransacking houses--easy (white) targets...
I soon moved to an all-white enclave after that, giving up on the city of Detroit, the criminality, harassment, and civic abuse, and have never been happier.

I would like everyone to try to develop internally coherent thinking about whether “politically correct” speech-policing is a huge problem and whether Ilhan Omar’s strident rhetoric about Israel needs to be policed more stringently.
 

My take is that though people sometimes take it too far the “PC” impulse is mostly good, its critics mostly wrong, and it’s reasonable for Jewish people to want Israel to be discussed in a way that bends over backward to cater to their sensitivities about anti-Semitism.
 

I wish Jewish people who are on the center or right politically and are very bothered by this sort of thing would try harder to engage sympathetically with speech-policing efforts that don’t speak as directly to their personal concerns.

Kiryas Joel is by far the weirdest and most foreign place that I have visited in the United States. More foreign than the Navajo Reservation in Arizona or Slab City on the Salton Sea in California. OK to be fair, Slab City is a post apocalyptic insane asylum, but at least I could speak to the people there.

I got out of my car in downtown Kiryas Joel to take some photos of the atrocious and unstable looking architecture that somehow passes zoning standards. I was immediately trailed by several Hasidic men, but basically left me alone once I acknowledged them. They had no interest in a conversation with me, but three men stood 50 feet from me at all times.

Leaving the village, my Waze app stopped working and I was lost briefly in a residential neighborhood. Dozens of children, well over a hundred, ran freely on a side street, some riding big wheels. It was nerve wracking because I was afraid I might hit one of the children running along side my car and casually walking in the middle of the street.

The neighborhood is certainly safe. Still it was surreal to see over a 100 children under 12, many under age 6, walking in the middle of the street with no adults present.

There was something admirable about the sense of community, security and fecundity, but it still felt incredibly foreign.

Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was flying on a regular international flight path. It was shot down by Russian forces - there is little doubt. They were the only ones in the vicinity to have weapons of this type. This is all well documented. So you can say it was shot down on Putin's orders. Now they did not intend to shoot down a plane full of civilians - not even the Russians are that evil. But they are stupid and trigger happy - shoot first and ask questions later is always the Russian way of warfare. They obviously mistook the plane for a Ukrainian military jet. Stuff happens in warfare although Russians were not really supposed to be at war with Ukraine or be in that spot, but that's the Russian MO too - little green men and all that. I understand that too - to paraphrase Mao a war is not a dinner party.

Some are already more than 60% Asian undergrad and over 80% for some graduate programs. I don't see a problem. The NE Asians in California seem to mostly be model citizens.

I think 2nd gen South Asians are more problematic. They regress to lower means and have far more low-IQ desperately poor relatives who chain migrate. They also just don't like white Americans as much as NE and SE Asians do. You can see this in naming choices. Most NE/SE asian immigrants choose Western names for their children, while South Asians rarely do.

The left relish the control they have over the respectable discourse in this country; the first big challenge was from nationwide conservative talk radio, Rush and his legion of imitators, and for a while the equal time "Fairness Doctrine" was a minor Dem talking point (IIRC Obama briefly tried to resurrect this, but by that point it seemed antiquated). But Twitter and Facebook and YouTube are a threat without equal. Every time you hear about another Congressional hearing or investigation into Mark Zuckerberg or Google, call it what it is: intimidation. The message is clear: censor yourself or we'll hit you, hard. If Donald Trump gets elected again the US government is going to punish Jack Dorsey for it, because he wasn't proactive enough about deleting right-wing accounts. Incredibly thuggish behavior; Trump seems to understand what's happening but he needs to do more to prevent it (story of his presidency, really).
