  • It’s the JEWS…It’s ALWAYS the JEWS.

It’s not “smarts” or “IQ” that gives jews an advantage over gentile whites, but is their rabid insistence on cultural and social cohesiveness, insularity and nepotism (but only for themselves) that gives them an “advantage”.

This same cultural and social cohesiveness that is prized so highly by jewish interests is denied to gentile whites.

Jews, to a man will fight to deny this same cultural and social cohesiveness to gentile whites that they themselves enjoy as it is a major part of the jewish purpose–the destruction of gentile white culture, which IS superior to any jewish cultural or social society. If jews did not possess this power, they would most likely be rag merchants, liquor merchants, or furniture merchants–nothing more.

As I have previously stated, jewish success is based on cultural and social cohesiveness and insularity–NOT “smarts” or “IQ”.

Once enough jews get into a position of power in the work world or education systems, they will hire and promote their own, even bypassing more qualified gentile white candidates. “Multiculturalism and diversity for thee, but not for me” is the jewish mantra.

Jews have latched on to cultural cohesiveness and nepotism, as it serves their purpose exceedingly well.

At the same time, jews pushed the concept of “racial equality”, (but only for gentile whites), backing it up with “civil-rights” and “equal accommodation” laws which are enforced by governments–but only against whites. These “civil-rights” laws are used as a “battering ram” against gentile whites to diffuse and fragment any semblance of gentile white solidarity and cohesiveness that may arise.

Another aspect of jewish conniving (lawfare) is that of the “separation of church and state” which is only used against Christians who attempt to erect religious displays on public property. All one has to do is observe the number of jewish menorahs erected on public property, even at the White house, in contravention of laws passed against religious themed public displays. There is “not a peep” from the jewish-run “separation of church and state” crowd.

Jews are the only group that lacks a moral component. Jews are very amoral, think nothing of screwing a “goy” out of money, possessions, or even reputation or life. You see, the jewish talmud elevates the jew above all others, “goyim” being “livestock with souls, created only to serve the jew”.

This amorality is a critical component in jewish life and is partially responsible for jewish successes. When a culture (cult) does not possess a moral compass that defines and separates “right from wrong” THAT in itself gives the jew greater latitude to “get what he wants” as there are “no limits” on what a jew may do to gain the advantage in just about any situation. The lack of a moral component within jewish life is a major reason for jewish supremacy in civilized societies.

A great reckoning dealing with the jews is coming. As gentile whites become more marginalized, the accusation of being tagged as “racist” or a “holocaust™ denier” is rapidly losing its “sting”.

Increasingly, jews are more wary of being “called out” and recognized as “jews”. One can call a jew a shyster, shylock, bankster, criminal or ne-er-do-well, and it will roll off his back like water off a duck, BUT call a jew a “jew”, and he will recoil in horror, having been “found out”. This is a major reason why so many jews change their names.

One last point is the jewish practice of “male genital mutilation” (circumcision) (bris) performed on the eighth day after birth.

This barbaric practice contributes to mental illness among jews in two ways:

–one, the practice itself which inflicts unnecessary pain on the infant and is traumatizng to the point of inflicting future mental illness.

–two, the practice of the “mohel” fellating the infant (metzitzah b’peh) after the “deed is done”. This is a sure way of passing on the STDS that are infecting the “mohel” to the infant. As most STDs do not manifest themselves until later in life, mental illness is the result. Maybe this is a reason why many jews are so “twisted”…

  • Jews DOMINATE the porn industry and they have admittedly bragged about using it to defile White Gentiles particularly White Gentile Christians.

Jews played a leading role in the African Slave Trade which has only recently came to light, but as usual they are trying to keep this information from reaching the masses.

Israel is highly suspect in having a role in the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Centers. “War By Deception” just about tells you all you need to know about a people whom Jesus described in John 8:44 and Revelation 2:9 and Revelation 3:9.

How about this quote that BiBi was alleged to have said about America, “America is a golden calf we will suck it dry, chop it up and sell it off piece by piece until there is nothing left.” Does this sound like an “ally” to you??

And didn’t Henry Kissinger allegedly refer to American troops as “dumb cattle?”

And are not Jewish organizations, Jewish billionaires like George Schwartz aka George Soros front and center at flooding traditional white countries of Europe and North America with hostile invaders from the third world to replace Whites in their own countries. How many Whites have been raped, murdered, kidnapped and sold into sex trafficking during this biological warfare. FORCED ASSIMILATION IS AN ACT OF GENOCIDE AND IN THE CASE OF WHITES BEING MURDERED AND RAPED IS A DOWNRIGHT ACT OF WAR.

Anyone who thinks that Israel and/or MOST Jews are our friend are either dumb as a brick, brainwashed to the nth degree or just suffering from a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome.

Sulu, Danny is exactly right and your statement a about an enthusiastic Japanese Empire is utter nonsense. I know you aren't as familiar with American history as you think you are. FDR did everything possible to force Japan into war, including the total end of freedom of navigation through the South China Sea to prevent any oil from reaching Japan while building up the defences of the Philippines and while making Pearl Harbour more vulnerable and moving out the best ships. In the end Japan had no choice. And FDR knew very well that Japan had always entered its previous wars with a surprise attack. He knew where the attack would happen. He knew almost to the day when the attack would happen.

America was building new fighter planes in the late 30’s in anticipation of a coming war. We started the draft in late 1940. We were shipping tons of supplies to England to help her war effort. We were retooling our factories for the anticipated upcoming war. But this did not mean we were at war at that time. America OFFICIALLY entered the war the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor due to FDR declaring war. This is a well established historical fact and anyone that tries to dispute it simply reveals themselves as the historically ignorant individual that they are.

Why in the hell do you think FDR invited the attack on Pearl Harbor in the first place? It’s because he knew that the only way he could sell a war to the American people is if Japan attacked the U.S. first.

Haiti has been predominantly Roman Catholic since the 18th century. It is 99% black. Haiti is a shithole. Haiti had the benefits of an established religion, but it has been unable to do anything with the wisdom and knowledge the RCC gave it. The average Haitian IQ is 67.

Here is another example. Compare Japan and the Philippines. Which country is better? Japan is a Shinto/Buddhist country with an average IQ of 100. It is a first world nation. The Philippines is a mostly Catholic country with an average IQ of 86. The Philippines is a shithole.

The Philippines was hardly invulnerable. Clark Field was attacked the same day as Pearl and then the P.I. was invaded by the Japs. The country fell in May of 42 and Manila was not retaken till March of 45 so that hardly qualifies as “briefly lost” The P.I. was out of allied hands for most of the war.

My so-called boomer generation’s cynicism comes from the disillusionment that came, as the blurb for the 1969 movie “Easy Rider” had it, that we went searching for America and couldn’t find it anywhere. We found the country we loved was committing the obscenity of the Vietnam War not against its principles but in complete harmony with its long-standing tradition of delivering extreme violence to non-whites whose land or belongings we coveted, that the “liberty” of the sainted Founders was the privilege of the wealthiest to own everything and everyone else.

Our parents, you might remember, were dealing with their own trauma, having grown up under the worst leaders in our history. Because of their politicians’ incompetence, arrogance, and greed, the generation before us was forced to suffer the nightmare of the Great Depression and the insanely unnecessary horror of the Second World War. The heartbreakingly young faces that stare back at us in fading photos of the highly propagandized “greatest generation” are the images of innocents betrayed by the same warmongering elite who are scheming today to destroy Iran and Russia. If some of us went a little batshit in our youth, maybe it is at least in part because we grew up in the toxic shadow of the anguish and rage they were never allowed to acknowledge.

I have also observed in disgust that so many of today’s extreme right-wingers had their origins in the Sixties Left. They too realized that the whole God-bless-America thing was a scam, so for their own advancement they joined the side that was winning. In so doing they ushered in the greatest transfer of wealth from the many to the few (themselves) in our sad history, all the while wrapped in the flag and praising Jesus.

The best of my generation became organizers and activists, and devoted their lives to correcting the evils of this society, but, hell, most of us got tired of being vilified and tear-gassed and never being heard. So we just said, “say, why shouldn’t I get happy by buying stuff after all, and what’s on TV anyhow?” and in due time we had cause to repeat our parents’ ever-popular lament, “what a freak show of clueless boneheads the young people are today!”

Now you get to piss & moan about us old bastards instead. Good luck!

People have been born in each and every year, no exceptions. The distribution of age in the population is continuous, not discrete. These arbitrary generation titles are about as useful, as analytical tools in trying to understand what has happened in the past and what is happening now, as "right" and "left." Not trying to say that boomer vs. Xer vs. millennial is completely useless; it's highly convenient to our rulers. (As is, of course, right vs. left.) Upon further thought, I decided that it is worth it to address your spew, one point at a time:

Pretty much the most self indulged generation ever

What does self-indulged mean? You are saying that every other human in every other society in the history was not as “self-indulged” as a few people in the United States in the 50s and 60s?

Could you explain what your basis is for that claim and what proof you have of whatever it is that you are claiming, since no one including me understands what self-indulged means.

    Actually, what does it mean?

    incredible amount of divorces,

And people now divorce at a high rate is explained because Boomers? You know that no-fault divorce law was enacted in 1970? This freed men and women to end relationships based on their own free assessments. And that is somehow wrong to you? That is somehow evidence that the Boomers are dirt?

    horrible parents on net,

    Horrible parents? On net? What?

    almost zero accountability

Accountability to whom? The Boomers had zero accountability to? An older generation of idiots? What kind of accounting did we need to do, sonny? And why did we have ALMOST zero? What part of our accountability to some unknown thing did we not have? After all, it was almost zero, not zero.

Finally, why would any free people feel obliged to concede “accountability” to the Thought Police that you represent?

first elites ever with no skin in the game

    ,

So in all human history no elites ever had no skin in the game? Are you serious right now? And what was elite about a Boomer who had nothing like me? I was an elite? Wow. What you been drinkin’, snortin’, or smokin’, son? If I am an elite, Bob’s your uncle.

were bailed out economically frequently and still have next to nothing saved

I am not aware of any bailout of any generation. Could you kindly explain when and what this bailout was? You know though, your idea that Boomers have next to nothing saved is partly true. Those Boomers who realized that the real estate market was being falsely inflated? They started flipping houses. They made bank, though some lost it eventually. Those who did not participate in the great fake real estate inflation scam? They made dick. We didn’t get bailed out. We got nothing. And the real estate had nothing to do with our generation. If have nothing saved? It has nothing at all to do with who we are. Your generation would have had the same result.

    Over indulged their children

Yeah, I’ve already addressed this. The Gen-X ers started this. Boomers were still treating kids as needing to fail in order to grow, like their parents had taught them. Gen-X’ers changed that. Had nary a thing to do with Boomers.

unable to admit” their” kid isn’t college material

Really, sonny? A Boomer was not able to admit “their” kid was not college material? Why would they not admit it.? What does it mean to be college material? What if they did not admit this weirdo assessment? Johnny Gen-X er would become a farm worker? I sincerely have no idea what your nonsense phrase means or even implies. It is a bad thing to not want your kid to get a college degree when you have to have one just to work in a MacDonald’s? Why wouldn’t you love your children, sonny?

Presided over the ruining of American education ( we used to teach Latin in high school, now we teach remedial English in college)

So we Boomers “presided” over the Gen-X idiots who ruined American education? Wow. I did not know that for the simple reason that I had nothing whatsoever with changing the curriculum. Of course you do realize don’t you that Millennial and Gen-X’ers have tried to re-write education to align with feminist and Marxist tropes, right? In other words, the failure of education in America had NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH BOOMERS.

Whined to no end about Vietnam ( I’m 1000% against the Vietnam war) but they became probably the biggest chicken Hawks ever.

Dude, I hate war. And I don’t support any war that the US has been involved in after WWII. I resisted the draft.. And I won.

So what you talkin’ ’bout, Willis? Who is a chicken hawk? You? Because your generation appears to buy anything that militarist fools feed you. But I never did, And never would. And I’m not alone. Those of us Boomers not killed in Vietnam? A lot of us hate foreign entanglements. Join us, sonny.

    I could go on .

No. You could not go on. Because there was nothing to go on to begin with.

Look my father’s a Boomer and a great dude who I really love.

If your father is a Boomer then you are clearly one of those whiny Gen-X’ers who infest the commentary these past few decades. If you love your Boomer father? Then why are you such an ageist hater and bigot?

But if boomers up and died en masse tomorrow ,the world would be a far better place on net.

So if we had an ageist genocide against your elders, the world would be a far better place? How did that work out for Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge? How did that work out for Mao-Tse -Tung’s Cultural Revolution? Are you stupid? Have you ever looked at the historical record of genocides in humans?

It is just astounding to read the rank arrogance and vengeance spewing forth from Gen-X’ers. I have seen it so much for so many years that i am not surprised, but I still have no idea what its genesis is.

But those things are by no means certain. If the economy tanks and if it becomes clear that it's going to take a long long time to get back to normal and if it starts to look like maybe things will never really get back to normal, then he'll lose in a landslide.

At the moment it's impossible to predict either way.

If the Democrats had a strong candidate and a real platform I could see them winning against Trump. But they have neither. I don’t think America is going to switch horses in mid stream. What we are facing is not unlike a war. And Trump has been looking rather Presidential of late. I’m not saying it’s impossible he will lose but I consider it unlikely.

The big political question I think that is on the horizon is whether or not the Democrats really will go with Biden and will Sanders be persuaded to drop out. I just can’t see Biden winning against anyone. Now, if the Dems pull some shenanigans and put a fresh candidate in to run against Trump and if said candidate gets Bernie’s endorsement then the Dems have a much better chance.

You pointing out that things will need to get back to something resembling normal for Trump to win may be a valid point. But I am not ready to concede it just yet. If this country really degenerates further and we have country wide martial law my fear will be not who is going to be President but whether we can escape civil unrest and perhaps even civil war. When half the country wakes up and realizes that the bank is going to take their homes because they can’t pay their mortgage they are going to scream for country wide debt forgiveness. If they don’t get it they are going to go ballistic and we will probably have civil war. People that thought their future was secure only to find out they are going to the poor house will become brave when they realize they have nothing left to lose. It’s one thing when the occasional home owner defaults on his mortgage. That’s business as usual. But when it happens to half the country at the same time that is quite a different thing.

I can’t rule out the possibility that this virus is a bioweapon unleashed on the world by the U.S., the aim of which is to usher in a police state while at the same time allowing the rich to acquire the property of those that can’t pay their debts. If this is in fact true it makes me think the elites may have overplayed their hand. Variations of this sort of thing have been tried before. One has to look no further than Wiemar Germany to see an example of it. And that didn’t turn out well for the world in general and the elite in particular.

If partial lockdowns are still in force (and I can't see any western governments having the courage to end the lockdowns completely), if we're still being told to practise social distancing and shelter in place, if the hysteria is still in full swing (and coronavirus hysteria could be ongoing just like climate change hysteria) will it even be possible to have meaningful elections?

What happens if Trump wins but voter turnout is 25%? Would that be accepted as a valid election result?

Having an election result that will be accepted depends on a return to normality.

There's also the problem that coronavirus hysteria might mutate into more general hysteria. There are already all manner of crazy conspiracy theories floating about. What happens if these conspiracy theories make the jump from their usual sources (the SJWs and the far right) into the general population? What happens if there's a rash of mass shootings?

I don't think it can be assumed that a valid election, with the results generally accepted, will be possible this year.

It seems possible that there won't actually be a Democratic National Convention. Which means either the Democrats demand the election be delayed or they choose a candidate in a back-room deal.

What happens if some states are still under lockdown and some aren't? What happens if states that have been hard hit have a ludicrously low voter turnout while other states that have largely escaped the virus have high turnouts?

It’s easy enough to imagine the dissension if the voter turnout is low and Trump is elected.

We have had a collapse of any type of conventional morality coupled with the rise of every type of perversion. Every thing has been inverted. What used to be seen as good is now portrayed as bad. Every type of sexual deviancy is portrayed as a life style choice and anyone that dissents is cast as an intolerant, bigoted, villain. All we need is a major depression to kick things into high gear. And it look like it is on our doorstep.

    Blacks are violent:

Richard et al. (2014) meta-analyzed data from 14 separate studies and found that Blacks had higher levels of free floating testosterone in their blood than Whites suggesting that testosterone levels may predispose Blacks towards higher rates of crime.

Compounding this, a high percentage of Blacks have dysfunctional versions of the MAOA androgen receptor gene which is a key part of the mechanism by which testosterone has its effects throughout the body and brain.

MAOA’s job is to break down crucial neurotransmitters which can build up in the brain and cause a loss of impulse control and an increase in violence and rage.

The MAOA gene can come in the form of 2, 3, 3.5, 4, or 5 allele. A 3-repeat allele is considered dysfunctional and is what is referred to as the “warrior gene”. A 2-repeat (2R) allele is considered very dysfunctional.

The 2-repeat allele does not produce a protein needed to break down old serotonin. It is strongly correlated to criminality and doubles the rate of violence of the 3R without needing an environmental interaction mechanism. People with a 2-repeat allele MAOA gene have a permanent chemical imbalance in their brain making the person more likely to be agitated, aggressive, and impulsive.

Only 0.00067% of Asians and .5% of Whites have the MAOA 2-repeat allele version, compared to 4.7% of Blacks.

That means Blacks are 9.4x more likely to have the very dysfunctional version of the MAOA gene than Whites. Considering that Blacks are 10x more likely to commit extreme violence and anti-social behavior than Whites, this is very significant.

Exploring the association between the 2-repeat allele of the MAOA gene promoter polymorphism and psychopathic personality traits, arrests, incarceration, and lifetime antisocial behavior

A line of research has revealed that a polymorphism in the promoter region of the MAOA gene is related to antisocial phenotypes. Most of these studies examine the effects of low MAOA activity alleles (2-repeat and 3-repeat alleles) against the effects of high MAOA activity alleles (3.5-repeat, 4-repeat, and sometimes 5-repeat alleles), with research indicating that the low MAOA activity alleles confer an increased risk to antisocial phenotypes. The current study examined whether the 2-repeat allele, which has been shown to be functionally different from the 3-repeat allele, was associated with a range of antisocial phenotypes in a sample of males drawn from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. Analyses revealed that African-American males who carried the 2-repeat allele were, in comparison with other African-American male genotypes, significantly more likely to be arrested and incarcerated. Additional analyses revealed that African-American male carriers of the 2-repeat allele scored significantly higher on an antisocial phenotype index and on measures assessing involvement in violent behaviors over the life course. There was not any association between the 2-repeat allele and a continuously measured psychopathic personality traits scale. The effects of the 2-repeat allele could not be examined in Caucasian males because only 0.1% carried it.

Blacks are also more likely to have versions of dopamine genes like ANKK1 and DAT1 that have been linked to antisocial behavior.

A 2012 study using the Add Health data found that the 2-repeat version of the MAOA gene is significantly associated with antisocial behavior and the likelihood of criminality in Black males.

    The Color of Crime:

             •   Black males age 18-35 years of age are only 1.8% of the U.S. population, yet have committed 52% of homicides from 1980-2008. Black males (all ages) are only 6% of the U.S. population, yet commit 46% of all violent crimes, and 50% of the gun homicides. If Blacks were removed from the equation, the U.S. gun homicide rate would be equal to Great Britain’s, who have some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the world.

             •   The Black homicide rate is 17 per 100,000, a rate over 9x that of the White rate, and comparable to some of those most murderous countries in the world. If the homicide rate for the U.S. were the White-only rate, the homicide rate would drop 84%, making the U.S. rate comparable to European countries.

             •   According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics 2018 survey of criminal victimization, there were 593,598 interracial violent victimizations (excluding homicide) between Blacks and Whites last year, including White-on-Black and Black-on-White attacks. Blacks committed 537,204 of those interracial felonies, or 90 percent, and Whites committed 56,394 of them, or less than 10 percent.

             •   According to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting for 2018, of the homicide victims for whom race was known, 53.3% were Black, 43.8% were White and 2.8% were of other races. In cases where the race of the offender was known, 54.9% were Black, 42.4% were White, and 2.7% were of other races.

             •   Of the nearly 770,000 violent interracial crimes committed every year involving Blacks and Whites, Blacks commit 85 percent and Whites commit 15 percent. This means that a Black is 27 times more likely to attack a White person than vice versa.

             •   For each one standard deviation increase in proportion of Black population, firearm homicide rate is increased by 82.8%. Therefore, the U.S. has a Black problem, not a gun or violent crime problem. When Blacks commit crimes of violence, they are nearly three times more likely than non-Blacks to use a gun, and more than twice as likely to use a knife.

             •   40% of gun crime occurs in just three cities: 596 (10%) – St Louis, MO, 53 (11%) – Detroit, MI, and 1,527 (27%) – Chicago, IL.

             •   Murder is the leading cause of death for Black men, ages 15 to 34. Their murderers are other Black men 93 percent of the time.

             •   Black males between 16-35 years of age are only 4.2% of the population, yet commit 72% of the street crime in America.

             •   The single best indicator of violent crime levels in an area is the percentage of the population that is Black.

            •   If New York City were all White, the murder rate would drop by 91 percent, the robbery rate by 81 percent, and the shootings rate by 97 percent. In an all-White Chicago, murder would decline 90 percent, rape by 81 percent, and robbery by 90 percent.

            •   The United States is third in murders throughout the world, but if you omit just five Black cities (Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, St Louis, and New Orleans) from the equation, then the United States is fourth from the bottom.

             •   Black serial killers have comprised over half of documented serial killers since the dawn of the 21st century at 56 percent, making up a total of 40 percent in years dating back to 1900. Blacks constituted 44% of the known serial killers during the 1995-2004 period and 38.2% of all multiple murderers (serial, mass, and spree combined) during 1976-1998 period. During the 2000-2010 decade, 62% of serial killers were Black.

2019 Data Shows 51% of Mass Shooters Were Black, Only 29% Were White:

    https://summit.news/2019/08/07/2019-data-shows-51-of-mass-shooters-were-black-only-29-were-white/

In 2016, the police fatally shot 233 Blacks, the vast majority armed and dangerous, according to the Washington Post. The paper categorized only 16 Black male victims of police shootings as “unarmed.” That classification masks assaults against officers and violent resistance to arrest.

Contrary to the Black Lives Matter narrative, the police have much more to fear from Black males than Black males have to fear from the police. In 2015, a police officer was 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a Black male than an unarmed Black male was to be killed by a police officer.

From 1980 to 2013, there were 2,269 officers killed in felonious incidents, and 2,896 offenders. The racial breakdown of offenders over that 33-year period was 52% White, and 41% Black. So, the 13% total Black population in the U.S. commits 41% of police murders.

Further, Black males have made up 42% of all cop-killers over the last decade, though they are only 6 percent of the population. That 18.5 ratio undoubtedly worsened in 2016, in light of the 53 percent increase in gun murders of officers — committed vastly and disproportionately by Black males.

Not that you deserve a debate (or more accurately a correction of your poor logic), because we are passed debating at this point in history, but:

Your statement is precisely analogous to “the only dog breed is dog”.

Both statements are objective nonsense. As you know, dog breed characteristics, to include both physical and personality traits (to include intelligence, brain architecture, aggressiveness, etc), are documented and widely vary. The same is true for human breeds.

This typical Black / Somali animal behavior repeats across societies. Its our scourge, and the longer it is propagated the more Emily Joneses will die. Simply stated, your wrong views are not enough to convince society to refrain from doing what is necessary to put a stop to the threats to the Emily Joneses of the West. No more Lambs will be sacrificed.

The people who choose to attempt to delude themselves with a view such as yours always have something to gain from those who they wish to semantically reduce to the level of the murderous animals they wish to keep in society.

If a foreign underclass and scourge were widespread in your homeland, regularly and randomly killing your tribe’s children on the street, your view would be different. • You don’t make 100 billion dollars by treating employees right. The inside of an Amazon warehouse is about 85% minority. Mostly Africans right off the boat and Cubans. The rest are White. Bezos pays his people the absolute least he thinks he can get away with. About 2 years ago he was paying people $11 an hour but he gave two shares of stock if you could stick it out for two years. He only upped his wage to $15 an hour after President Trump call him out on it. What the news failed to tell everyone is the fact that he no longer gave out stock in an obvious effort to make up for the wage increase.

The work environment is toxic and they insist on an insanely hight rate. Not just high but stupid high. And it goes up all the time. Most new people can’t make rate but they don’t care. It's remarkable that someone as intelligent and realistic as "the Derb" isn't as realistic and sophisticated enough to understand that, in discussing race, it's imperative to distinguish between groups and individuals. Individual blacks are likable and adnirable -what percentage and number I have no idea?- but blacks as a group are awful, a reality confirmed by life not only in Haiti and the countries of sub-Saharan Africa but also Detroit, Flint, St. Louis, Memphis, Baltimore, Chicago, Birmingham, and muriads of other cities that have been blighted or destroyed by blacks depending on whether they're a majority or a large minority of the population. Every black-majority city in the U.S. and black country, save for a few small slands with billion-dollar tourist industies, is a hell-hole with rampant criminality, violence, poverty, dysfunction. corruption, etc.

And for every John McWhorter, Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Larry Elder, etc. (and all of these good blacks are race-denialists), how many Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons, Louis Farakhans, Barack Obams, Dom Lemons, Joy Reids, Cornel Wests, Michael Eric Dysons, ad nsusem, and myriads even worse than them who are not well-known, who blame all the problems of blacks on whites and "racism" and the legacy of slavery and "Jim Crow" and colonialism?

Face it. The democrats don’t have a snowballs chance in hell in Nov. I mean it’s seven months before the election and they are talking about replacing their front runner. Gee, you don’t suppose that means they are in trouble, do you?

I remember election night 16. CNN was proclaiming Hillary had a substantial lead in every state and Trump had no path to 270. By about midnight Eastern time it was increasingly apparent that Trump was the winner. Wolf Blitzer kept fiddling with his electronic map in a desperate attempt to keep up the illusion that some how Hillary could still pull it out. They delayed for some two and a half hours before finally announcing that Trump had won. The looks on their long faces told the story. I especially like the tears from NBC’s Rachel Maddow. She looked like she had just returned home to find out her entire sex toy collection had been burgled and Amazon told her there will be a three week delay in shipping her replacements. Probably had to go to a half a dozen different bar mitzvah’s just to cheer her up.

The next morning the silence from the left on comment boards was deafening. People that had been making asinine posts like, “Madame President. Get used to saying it.” were no where to be found. They were stunned because like the stupid sheep they are they believed the media when it told them that Hillary was a shoe in. Hopefully they learned something from this. That the media is not there to inform you, it’s there to influence you. But I wouldn’t count on it. The sheep on the left seem pretty stupid. They will probably be screaming at the sky come Nov. Feel free to join them.

  • Trevor,
I thought Gattaca was a rather smart sci-fi movie that is illustrative of the probable path that genetic engineering may take in the years to come. Sure, there were a few plot devices. But overall I thought it was a thoughtful movie that was foreshadowing what may be on humanities horizon. While at the same time demonstrating that determination and risk taking can overcome some genetic shortcomings. As long as the shortcoming is a bum heart and not an 85 I.Q.

It is stunningly artful and imaginative, as well as dramatically gripping and emotionally powerful. (See my review here). Then, four years later, Nolan released Interstellar, which is almost as good. It may seem silly not to want to “spoil”...
  • Trevor,
Jesus H. Fucking Christ on a crutch! You think Interstellar was a great movie and Gattaca was dumb?

Interstellar was pompous, pretentious, and disjointed. It was obvious the director was trying to say something but apparently the plot was on a need to know basis. And the audience had no need to know. It was like he was in a partial coma and trying to tell us something by blinking his eyes.

And the ending? It didn’t work at all. I don’t think I have ever seen a worse ending to a movie except perhaps the remake of Planet of the Apes. It’s obvious the director didn’t know how to end it so he just pulled this out of his ass and hoped the rubes would see it as intellectual. The entire movie was a dumpster fire set next to an over ripe outhouse. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a 1. And that’s just because it did manage to have moving pictures and sound. The only movie I have seen recently that approached Interstellar in awfulness was Ad Astra. And even it was not quite as dumb as this one.

Please tell me you were a journalism major in college. It would make me feel better because I don’t want to even consider the possibility you have ever had any education in science.

  • Ad Astra (2019), starring Brad Pitt and directed by James Gray, is the best science fiction movie since Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar (2014). Like Interstellar, Ad Astra is visually striking and emotionally powerful, stimulating to both thought and imagination, and unfolds at a leisurely pace—all traits inviting comparisons to Kubrick and Tarkovsky, although I hasten to...
  • Trevor,
Let me get this straight. You are comparing this film favorably to the work of Kubrick? Seriously? You must be joking. You are trolling everyone, right? This film is total rubbish that in no way approaches the genius of Kubrick.

The Kubrick film that invites any comparison to this would have to be 2001. That film was a masterpiece. And it had something that Ad Astra didn’t. It had a plot. Ad Astra has special effects galore and a plot as thin as the vacuum through which the protagonist is supposedly traveling. The entire plot revolves around an astronaut that has daddy angst due to apparently losing his dad in outer space when he was a kid. But now it’s believed that decades later his dad is alive and at the edge of the solar system. So they use a plot device like the Earth being in danger to justify sending said astronaut out to the edge of the solar system to look for his dad. That’s the plot. That’s it. One drop of piss in Lake Superior weak if you ask me.

Here’s the thing. During the time that 2001 was made there was no such thing as computer generated effects. So Kubrick did it all with camera work and hand drawn art for some of the computer animations. For its day the effects were groundbreaking. But directors today seem to think that a bunch of computer generated special effects makes up for having no plot at all. Sadly it doesn’t.

That is why you can go back and watch something like the original Twilight Zone, that barely had special effects worthy of the name, and still find it great. Twilight zone had some great writing. Serling, another genius, was a brilliant writer and while I don’t recall if he wrote all the scripts he wrote quite a few.

What all of this means is a great story will carry a production that has rudimentary special effects. But great special effects can never make up for a poor story. However, when the stars align and you have a great story and great special effects coupled with inspired acting you can end up with a classic movie. One such example of this would be the original Blade Runner.

But mentioning this movie in the same breath as the works of Kubrick? Ridiculous!

    Sulu

  • Funny to me that most people miss the fact that the movie’s plot is mostly a rip-off of “Heart of Darkness.”

    Ad Astra…pissed me off.

Brad Pitt was good, but beyond that…

The story could have been fine if not for the GROSS scientific inaccuracies and strangely constructed script. Just dumb stuff…and stuff that makes no sense other than the story needed something to keep us engaged? I guess the thing that frustrated me is that every time the writer/director made a stupid choice, he could have been scientifically accurate and it would have made it better and more interesting.

For example…the opening sequence, while visually cool (though already done, essentially, in the Star Trek reboot) makes no sense. So, here we have a highly trained, high-ranking astronaut…and he’s essentially doing tower climber work? The whole sequence serves only to provide some eye candy in a film that is glacially paced.

There are two other action pieces in the film, and they both are essentially the same thing.

We hit a point at the story where some producer thought there should be an “action beat” and we get a Mad-Max-style car chase on the moon (pirates, I guess, but why? Pitt and his group didn’t have anything of value with them to pirate away), and later (needing yet another action beat), we get a killer monkey in space.

Now…the overwhelming stupidity of killer monkeys in space aside, this sequence starts by displaying such a huge lack of understanding of simple physics that I almost turned of the movie then and there…apparently in the universe of this movie, they are using propulsive technology to drive rockets, which means you start out by expending huge amounts of energy to accelerate to a desired velocity, then you turn the ship around when you get to your destination and fire the rocket again to slow down. Apparently in the movie they have special space brakes that allow them to stop essentially on a dime without having to worry about expending fuel to decelerate or accelerate again later to get back on course…ugh. Just an insult to the viewer’s intelligence.

Tommy Lee Jones is in the movie, but he’s totally wasted.

B.S. in Geology. As I said I briefly considered continuing my education and was trying to decide what I should specialize in but I had the means to travel and while doing so I got bitten by the scuba diving bug. So what started out as a vacation turned into a life changing event and I ended up living in S.E. Asia for about 20 years. It also didn’t hurt that Asia is full of cute young girls that will quite literally line up to sleep with a White man. Asian women are so much easier to deal with than the women in America. When an American woman tells you she wants a relationship that will last forever she is talking about the relationship she wants to have with your wallet. In Asia women don’t have the full weight of the federal government backing up their greed.

A couple of my old classmates continued their education and now have PhDs and tenure at leading Universities. They have got more education than me but I have about 600 dives in the Pacific ocean and have had enough travel, adventure, and tail for two lifetimes. No regrets. Well…few regrets.

    Replies: @Sulu, @Tom Ratliff

Don’t be thick. The entire movie was about DNA so the writer decided to put the nucleobases in a string that spelled out the word of the title just to be clever. That was the entire point of it. But I guess it takes a little education. Which you obviously lack.

I also don’t need your guidance as to what to like or not like. Yes, I know this movie is the product of Jewish Hollywood but I found it intelligent and the title was clever. Most of the movies from Hollywood are crap. This one was an exception.

  • The “mainstream media” was never honest. There has always been an “agenda”, whether promoted by governments, or those above the government power structure who really “call the shots”.

The “snag” in their plans is the internet, which makes it possible for anyone to put out their point-of-view, concerns, or theories, without having to negotiate with or gain approval from the (former) “gatekeepers”.

The powers-that-be and their media types are running scared and attempting to “put the genie back into the bottle” by forming “truth commissions”, enlisting the major social media outlets to combat and marginalize “ideas” that do not conform to the “commonly accepted narrative” (what the media outlets and the powers-that-be WANT us to believe).

It is only a matter of time before media outlets use the flawed legal concept of “judicial notice” to disarm those who run counter to “commonly accepted beliefs”, not unlike what is used to silence and convict those who (attempt to) state the real truth of the so-called jewish “holocaust”. In holocaust case prosecutions, “judicial notice” is used to silence the truth, as real truth runs counter to “commonly accepted beliefs”, even if those “beliefs” can easily be disproven.

Attempts to silence those who will not “toe the party line” WILL fail, as most people are smart enough to know that the “narrative” has always been rigged to favor the “powers-that-be”…

That's obviously true, but the non-mainstream media is just as biased and just as dishonest.

From the “yellow journalism” of the late 1800s and early 1900s to today’s “fake news”, journalism has shown its true (communist) roots.

It has zero to do with communism. Journalists write whatever will keep the owners and publishers happy. If the owners and publishers want left-wing lies journalists write left-wing lies for them. If the owners and publishers want right-wing lies journalists write right-wing lies for them. If the owners and publishers want pro-Christian lies journalists write pro-Christian lies for them. If the owners and publishers want anti-Christian lies journalists write anti-Christian lies for them. If the owners and publishers want pro-Trump (or anti-Trump) lies journalists will obligingly write pro-Trump (or anti-Trump) lies for them.

I have traveled the world extensively and have come to know many Germans. Most of them I met not in Germany but in S.E. Asia. While some of them seemed ok a good many of them were drunks and had the attitude that they just intuitively knew how things should be simply because they were German. They could usually hold the attitude in when sober but let them get a dozen beers in them and they would tell you all about how they could fix the entire world up if people would put them in charge. I have come to the conclusion that there are attitudes that are endemic to nationality. While some of them seemed reasonable many of them I found to be arrogant, stupid, drunken assholes.

Another thing I might add is that time and time again when meeting a new Filipina for the first time one of the early questions they would ask was if I am German. When I told then I was American I could see them relax. I had many such conversations with girls overseas and the two most despised nationalities were German and Middle Eastern. Apparently both had a well deserved reputation for violence and treating their women like shit.

Considering that the accent that I most often encountered in my travels was German I concluded that the Germans might not be able to conquer the world but they damn sure were going to at least go out and see it.

In other words here was the "Herrenmenschen" attitude, the master race attitude, being presented decades after the war, and this not from a right-wing fraternity type but rather from a student-type individual from which one would never suspect such a worldview.
Add to this the endless media discussions and articles concerning American internal politics and the brutal scathing of everything American unless it is of Democrat origin, one gains the conclusion that these boneheads simply did not learn a thing from their own monumental historical blunders.

If you have spent time in S.E.A. I would assume that means that you as well as I would have to be included as …the worst elements of the Western World….” On the other hand if you haven’t spent time in S.E.A. how would you know?

I had considered the possibility that I was seeing mainly the drunks and the malcontents. And yes, I met assholes of every nationality, including Americans. But the vast majority of the people I met seemed polite decent people. Not so with the Germans.

One characteristic that I noted was that most of the men were there for the expressed purpose of having sex with young, beautiful women. But since I shared that same attitude I never really saw it as a problem. Most of the people I encountered that would regard it as a character flaw were the occasional Western Women that would show up from time to time and it was pretty easy to see that they hated to be in a country where the shoe was on the other foot. S.E.A. was the only place I went that White Western women would routinely buy me a drink simply as an effort to break the ice.

My dive buddy owned a bar at one of the resorts. And many a time you would see a couple White girls holding down a table realizing that they were on the outside and the Western men there were on the inside. One of my Irish dive/drink buddies had the brevity and dry humor normally associated with the English. He would look at a group of Western women that were being ignored by everyone and would announce, “The’re safe.”

But the thing that I found most telling was the fact that most of the local girls didn’t like Germans. On the other hand I had a German next door neighbor and while he liked to drink he never used it as an excuse to let his inner asshole emerge. We had several handshake agreements and he always lived up to his end. As did I.

As for myself I went there just for the adventure of hopping on a plane on one side of the world and getting off a day later on the other. One of the things that has surprised me is how few people there are that have the guts to go alone to a place they have never been to that is on the other side of the world.
I ended up staying for the warm weather, the scuba diving and the women.

Most of the people that hate the idea of Western men having fun in S.E.A. fall into 3 main categories. First and most obvious would be feminist women that are simply scandalized that men would find slim, young, Asian women attractive and are pissed to high heaven that we don’t stay in the West and kiss their fat feminist asses. The second category are the beta males that have to embrace feminism in the West in an effort to get laid. And the third category is men that are pissed about it because they aren’t in a position to travel because of lack of finances or marriage or simply because of lack of balls.

I wonder which category you are in?

Sadly, the only example we have today is a world run by Jews. It would be very interesting to see the world that would have resulted if Hitler had won. I suspect that in a generation the fire would have gone out of the Third Reich without battle to test them. And we would see a great civilian bureaucracy grow up and replace much of the military. A bureaucracy that would have no taste for war because they had never experienced it.

But one thing is for sure. Europe would not be the dumping ground for genetic garbage like it is today and instead would be full of pretty blonde White women. That part, at least, I think I could get behind.

The thing I find truly ironic about how things turned out is the fact that the Jews were saved by the White race and yet those same Jews are actively engaged in destroying the ancestors of the very people that spilled their own blood in order to save them.

But my guess is you are an uneducated little retard, which is why my level of education obviously chaps your ass so much. I mean if you had more education than me you would have said so in your first reply to my post. So you don’t have shit do you?

Oh, and for what it’s worth I am also well traveled. I quit counting how many times I crossed the Pacific Ocean when I got to 50 times. And I have a scuba license and about 600 dives in the Pacific Ocean, many of them being tech dives. Feel free to google that if you don’t know what tech diving is.

And I have spent about 20 years of my life in S.E. Asia. If you have never been there you would simply not believe the opportunities for sex with beautiful women that can be had there. My personal best was 4 beautiful women in one day. Well, in 24 hours. Technically it happened on two different calendar days. And I didn’t even set out to do it. It all just fell in my lap, so to speak.

My favorite movie is Blade Runner. I love the Roy Batty line, “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe.” With me it’s quite literally true.

I’ve seen Whale sharks ascending from the abyss and even managed to touch a few of them. I have descended through a school of Great Barracuda on my way to 150ft. They stretched out as far as the eye could see. Better not be wearing any thing shinny. I have been on night dives where you could turn off your light and pass your hand through the water and watch the light of tiny bio luminescent creatures stream through your fingers. It looked like you were creating tiny stars in the darkness. And on a calm night when the sea is like a mirror you can look up and see the reflection of the moon on the surface. It waves gently with the motion of the sea. And sometimes something big will slide by just at the limit of your light’s cone of illumination. And you wonder, “What the hell was that.” It’s best not to have an overactive imagination when you are doing night dives.

I know you are going to try and doubt all of this. Because that’s all you have got. But it just makes me smile. Because I know I have had more adventure, more travel, and more tail than some bitter little internet troll like you. I hope you are young. I really do. And it looks like another world wide depression is on the horizon. I can’t help but wonder what will happen if half of the people in America get their houses foreclosed on all at once. I suspect it will explode because people that have nothing to lose frequently become brave and violent.

I only flamed anonymous because his very first post to me was salty as hell. I figured turn about was fair play so I replied to him in kind. I usually reserve my vitriol for use on assholes and that is what I judge him to be. It was what he deserved.

But I will ask you the same question that I asked him. If I were bullshitting my education level don’t you think I could do a bit better than two bachelor degrees? I realize that even that elevates me above the majority of people out there but so what?

Also, I only learned my I.Q. because I had a Professor that liked me and was trying to get me to do grad work that would ultimately lead to my Doctorate. I told him I didn’t think I was cut our for academia and so he revealed my I.Q. to me in an effort to assuage any doubts I might have had as to my ability. I told him I was going on vacation and I would make my decision when I got back. Unfortunately for my continued education my vacation was in S.E. Asia. For those of you that have never been it’s a sexual Disney Land with unlimited women, scuba diving and warm weather. After a 59 day stay I decided that sex and scuba was certainly more fun than more college so I ended up going back and living about 20 years of my life there. Part of it was because of all the women. Part of it was because I realized I had been living my life in an effort to live up to other peoples expectations of me and it was high time I started living the way I wanted.

And finally I will say this. I don’t mean this unkindly but, not unlike a neutered dog you people just don’t get it. I don’t care one bit if you believe me or not. From your point of view it’s meaningless because it’s the internet. It can’t be verified. I understand this. But for me it’s cathartic. From my point of view it means everything because it’s my life. When I hear people doubting my posts I just have to smile. What they are really saying is they sure as hell hope it’s not true because their life seems pretty dull by comparison.

You are completely delusional. It is still a poorer country but has been growing the economy by 8% per year for a long time. When I compare the Philippine of the 1990's to today the improvements are huge.

In the early 90's it was hard to find a good restaurant in Cebu. Now there untold numbers to pick from with all kinds of great cuisine. Last month I ate at Lantaw, The Blue Elephant, Banana Leaf, etc., all of which were excellent. In Legazpi there were also plenty of great places to eat, and I loved the Bicol Express, Laing and Pinakbet especially. That is hard to reconcile with people who can't cook an egg, but maybe the problem is I didn't order any eggs.

Everyone I have ever dealt with in the Philippines has been kind, honest, and helpful. No one has ever tried to rip me off or come off as greedy and grasping.

Perhaps instead of coming here to enjoy the great food, wonderful people and incredible natural beauty your are one of those who was a total loser back in America, and you had a fantasy that if you went to a third world country you would be a God, and people sensed that attitude and treated you appropriately.

    Replies: @Sulu

You think I’m delusional? Well I think you are a local who is butt hurt that I told some truth about your country. It has been my observation that people tend to get emotional when they are told an unflattering truth about something they hold dear. All the things I told you were true. And my first impression is you are being disingenuous when you say everyone has been kind honest and helpful. Yes, I certainly did meet locals that fit that description. But, I have never been any where in my life that all the people I met fit that description. And the egg incident happened out in the Provence, not in Cebu city proper. The food in Cebu was not bad. Certainly not any where near the quality to be had in American restaurants, or even Thailand for that matter. But not bad.

But most of the people in the Philippines are poor. And the “money for nothing” scam has been tried on me several times. Now I’m not saying there is never a time someone isn’t owed a commission. When I sold some property there I gave my Pinoy friend 5% because he brought the buyer to me. But a girl wanting a commission on a 10 grand bike because she gave me a number? Ridiculous!

And your little crack speculating that I might be a loser that has come to the Philippines is just more evidence to me that you are probably a butt hurt Pinoy. Did you ever consider the fact that if you are a local you are not the target of this sort of horseshit? If you are a White foreigner the locals know you have money and the scams to get their hands on it come in a constant stream. It’s tiring as hell.

But if you are going to claim you are not a native but a foreigner and you seriously believe your statement about everyone being kind, honest, and helpful I can state with authority that it is you who are delusional and sooner or later you are going to suffer due to your naivete.

Oh, I put two locals through college in Cebu. Is that the actions of a loser that thinks himself to be a God?

Excellent comment. It is time to take fifty percent of any us household’s income above $25 million per year and pay it to all us citizens as a universal basic income. Flat rate, no credits, deductions, exceptions. Treat capital gains the same as wage, salary, and interest income.

This will hit the founders, executives, and major shareholders of any corporation that plays games to avoid taxes, whether Amazon, Google/Alphabet, ebay, Target, walmart (second or third largest online retailer in the usa), or whoever.

But the biggest, fairest source of revenue to fund a universal basic income in the usa is this: place our God-given natural resources under public ownership. All revenue from extracting and selling our water, oil, natural gas, metals, and minerals gets paid equally to all non-incarcerated us citizens as a monthly UBI.

As opposed to andrew yang’s favored Value Added Tax,
here are ways to fund a large UBI without taxes on the general public:
    — 10% fed excise tax on marijuana products, a rapidly growing market
    — 20% fed excise tax on cash remittances to foreign countries

The great majority of us citizens would not pay these latter two excise taxes, as most us citizens do not send cash abroad and do not buy marijuana products.

In short: tax Bezos and Zuckerberg and Trump and the other plutocrats and take back our natural resources, then use the money to pay a ubi to all us citizens — who are at least 21 years old, are not incarcerated, and have filed fed income tax returns for the last three consecutive years.

I hadn’t really considered Ex Machina as misandry. I considered it a cautionary tale about the direction of A.I. in the near future. I mean the robot didn’t really have a sex despite the fact that Nathan assured his subject that it had a vagina and could fuck. But I can see your point and consider it as a valid interpretation.

The A.I. did try and mimic femininity in an attempt to gain its freedom. The part that I found so disturbing was how quickly it gained the trust and cooperation of the little geek that it ultimately left behind to die. I mean this guy was a computer science guy. He should have known better. But no, he was dreaming of robot tail. Perhaps the film was a metaphor for how easily young naive men can be manipulated by young beautiful women. Used and then discarded.

The earliest movie that I recall that addressed this subject was The Forbin Project in 1970. Parts of it were quite chilling and I still wonder how prophetic it will turn out to be. And I’m sure some pedantic soul out there will point out to me that there is a much earlier film on the same subject. Metropolis perhaps?

I did not take any statement you made as an attack, personal or otherwise. Ex Machina can be interpreted in a variety of ways. I am quite sure there are nuances to it that I missed completely. On the whole I found it somewhat disturbing. And yes, I had forgotten 2001, perhaps the granddaddy of them all.

I went back and looked at your posts. Was something deleted?

Forbin Project came to mind because I saw it on tv probably a few years after it came out. I was still a kid but I recall the A.I. blackmailed humanity to do its bidding by threatening nuclear war. If it didn’t like some one it required another person to shoot them, leave them in view of its camera for 24 hours and then burn the body. Chilling.

I’m also reminded of the works of Harlan Ellison. He had a short story called “I Have No Mouth Yet I Must Scream.” Pretty good stuff. I think it was also Ellison that penned a tale about a self aware space ship that keeps a human alive to service it and has it’s own eugenics program where it’s in contact with other similar ships and provides other humans for the purpose of breeding its slaves. When the slaves reach the age of 14 they are killed because the A.I. know that humans get smarter as they age. I have been trying to remember the name of the story but I can’t quite pull it out. Maybe it was “Ship” or something like that. I recall it made it to tv I think back in the 90’s as a short story.

I don’t have any real formal education in Computer Science. (I don’t count a 100 level course I took decades ago) but I am of the opinion that once humanity creates general purpose A.I. that is smarter than ourselves we are going to be in big trouble.

I have read Ray Kurzweil’s thoughts on the subject and he calls it the singularity not unlike that of a black hole. It’s a point beyond which we have no way of predicting what will happen. If memory serves he claimed it was going to happen some time in the 2040’s. Considering he has been pretty consistently on with his predictions I wouldn’t bet against him.

Ellison was a quite a S.F. writer but if rumors are true he would have tried to sue God if he though he could get him to show up in court.

Matt Damon's "Elysium" much the same.

Yeah, humans with juiced DNA have it a lot better. And we should hate them for it. Or maybe we should hate their parents, who did the best for their kid they could, at the only time at which it could be done.

Also, Damon has a fight with a juiced fighter, 'way up on some platform. He wins. Uhhh, this fight was rigged!

    Replies: @Almost Missouri

The 2013-ish Tom Cruise film Oblivion was also alike to Elysium and Gattaca in that they all began with seemingly paradisaical worlds (two literally up in the sky, and one about getting up in the sky), which the rest of the film then reveals to be somehow deficient, corrupt or ill-founded.

Oblivion and Elysium do this much less effectively than Gattaca though, since their denouement involves POCs subverting or gatecrashing the initial utopias, which only leaves the observant viewer wondering if Jim Crow wasn’t right after all, whereas Gattaca posits that Utopia may lack essential Nietzschean freedom. (I actually can accept both conclusions, but I doubt the filmmakers meant for anyone to get the first one.)

As far as Trevor Lynch’s critique of Gattaca, yes he is right that many of the technical details don’t really make sense. What is even worse, IMHO, is that the main MacGuffin of Gattaca is a second-rate murder mystery that makes even less sense than the technical details.

But all of that is beside the point. Stories, like dreams, are symbolic allegories. In the case of Gattaca, interplanetary travel isn’t about other planets. After all, we never see another planet in the movie, indeed other than some stylish bits of Southern California, we barely see the one we’re on. All we see of “interplanetary travel” is the light on the faces of the bespokely suited astronauts, because “space travel” is just an allegory for wider horizons, higher reach, brighter enlightenment—a literal metaphor of the light moving upon the faces of deep.

Similarly, Gattaca‘s genetics isn’t meant as a literal forecast of how genetic science will develop. I understand that genetic science is an interesting subject, so it is easy to assume that Andrew Niccol found it as intriguing as we do, but he probably didn’t. He just used it as a plot device to represent the ironic way that science’s advance tends to create petty tyranny and oppress our freedom of spirit.

You find that illogical and unconvincing? That’s fine. If it were supposed to be logical, it would have been a documentary. Niccol’s case is made with images and feelings, not facts and logic. And it wasn’t pitched to your reasoning forebrain, nor to your lusting hindbrain, but to the midbrain, the middle realm of sentiments, aesthetics, sympathies and antipathies, as all good movies are.

Lynch said he found the movie beautiful. Because it was. And beauty has its own logic.

Yep, more than one German I met thought that Germans were Ubermenschen. I admit that some of the best and brightest among them approach that status. But the average German? Not so much. But if hound dog Merkel keeps importing Africans and Middle Eastern types into the country Germany is going to be destroyed. I mean a million black cocks will do a better job than a million bombs. And it’s quieter too. I can only suppose that destruction of Germany is the entire point of it all.

Back in the early 90’s I was overseas and was dating a young girl. One day she told me she had a German bf and so I dumped her on the spot. A couple years later I ran into her at a beach resort and found out her German bf had to be in his late 60’s. We started talking and low and behold we found out we liked each other. My knowledge of the events of WWII while not vast is fairly extensive. We talked history for several hours and he admitted to me that at the end of the war he was a Hitler Youth. He claimed he got to shake Hitler’s hand. I could see the fire of pride in his eyes so I don’t think he was lying. I shook his hand just so I could claim I shook the hand of a man that shook Hitler’s hand.

We scuba dived together a few times and one time he showed up at the dive shop and wanted to dive when the conditions were very rough. He was told that they had to have a minimum of two paying customers to take out the boat. Since I didn’t want to seem cowardly I offered to be the other guy. When we got out to the dive spot the waves were really rough. When we got in the waves were so bad it almost took our masks off. We quickly descended where the waves weren’t bad and did our dive. On the way back he remarked that if the boat engine were to quit we would probably all drown. We got back to shore and several people at the shop had come just to see who the two fools were that went out on such a day. One of my Swedish friends remarked, “They just don’t make Germans like they used too.”

I also have to laugh a little bit because I am probably one of the youngest man around that truthfully can say I was “Shot out of the saddle” by a Nazi. I know the guy wasn’t a party member. He was just a teen when the War was over. But he was in uniform during the war and taking Hitler’s orders. And that’s good enough for me.

I will only comment on 'The Forbin Project"

Well Collossus Guardian was designed to aide humans (initiallally a defense system from nuclear exchange), that process required that humans not interfere in any way and when they did --- it took whatever action was required to defend itself to that end. And to that end, it saw itself as supremely established. That to serve mankind, required total control and the benefits: no war, famine, crime, health . . . and all those issues that hinder/harm human existence Collusses would endeavour to with some help as required by humans --- but under it's control. It tolerated slights, not any form of existential threats. The affection would be one way as I recall --- humans toward it. That last exchange is important. Note; Collossus is the name Dr. Turin gave his computer used in WWI Code breaking. They are remaking the Forib Prohect --- might be a stake

I think what the authors such a Heinlein Asimov and others posit about machine or computer cosciousness is that it would operate to its own awareness and not reflect not neccessarily reflect or resemble that of humans.

Ideas such as attractiveness, desire from an emotional status as we humans comprehend -- have no or little value. Robbie the Robot from I Robot is a good starter.

    --------------------

Gattacca fortunately did not rely on computers to press the issues which are really fundamental to human societies; who qualifies for what, who says and why and perhaps more importantly -- the validity of such parameters in the light of exceptions that challenge the same.

Interesting historical reference to Colossus and Dr. Turing. Of course I have heard of Turing but I didn’t know he named his computer Colossus. And of course you meant WWII not WWI.

The funny thing is I have the movie on my computer yet haven’t managed to watch it since I saw it nearly 50 years ago. I suspect I have a tendency toward digital hording. I have two desktops and between them I have more than 32 Terabytes of storage.

I remember when I was about 11 I read Clark’s 2001. It was in the second floor of our town library where the more adult books were. The librarian tried to dissuade me from reading it because she assumed it was a bit too advanced for me. Sure enough, after reading it I didn’t quite get it. I went back and tackled it at 14 and the meaning was clear. I hadn’t yet seen the movie. It’s amazing what a few years will accomplish.

I think my favorite scene in Gattaca is when the protagonist (I can’t recall the character’s name) finally realized that to beat his physically superior brother at swimming he must abandon his fear of death and risk his life if he wants to win. His brother gets in trouble because he knows he has swum out too far and our protagonist uses his last bit of energy to save both of them. Too me that was a powerful scene and indicated that to succeed one must risk something, sometimes one’s own life. And fear must be controlled.

All my life I have encountered times when I found it prudent to ask if my ego was writing checks that my body can’t cash. If you have no ego you won’t accomplish anything in life. If you can’t honestly evaluate your own shortcomings and strengths you risk “sucking with confidence” and getting hurt. And fear, while a factor, must not be the overriding factor. That was a lesson I had to learn quick when I started scuba diving and flying.

I do realize that Gattaca had a few plot holes, but if that’s a person’s criterion for judging movies good or bad I suspect they will not find many movies of merit. For me I found Gattaca a good movie but not a great movie. And, as I said, Uma was easy on the eyes back in those days.

What happened is that the holders of US capital wagered they could profit more by selling out their own people and whatever negative side effects resulted from this they would still come out ahead. They bet on the wrong demographics and now they have a dumb, unstable country and the people they are trying to sell this cold war to aren’t playing along because it’s been made abundantly clear they’re going to murder them for being White and the only official salvation they have is to die anonymously for jewish counting houses.

One of my favorite stories in this line is a short story The Last Question - Issac Asimov

    Replies: @Sulu

The last question was a rather good story, irrespective of its religious overtones. I think Asimov did another story called The Star also with a religious bent. If you are an Asimov fan you are probably aware of it. I have read a fair amount of Asimov but he was such a prolific author that I still probably haven’t read the majority of his work.

I just watched The Forbin Project again for the first time in almost 50 years. It was better than I remembered.

In one of your earlier posts you mentioned Heinlein, my favorite author. I believe I have read all of his works. In his book The Moon is a Harsh Mistress he assumed that consciousness was a byproduct of complexity and when a computer gets large enough it wakes up. I find this a very tenuous speculation but it made a good story. His A.I. called Mike had many human characteristics and became friends with the protagonist simply because he was the first person to realize the computer was awake. It was quite a good yarn and I believe it won a Hugo.

I still find it telling that neither physicist, nor mathematicians, nor philosophers have the slightest ideal where consciousness originates from. I think it was Roger Penrose that said they suspect it arises from computation simply because they can’t think of anything else.

I still think that when we eventually create general purpose A.I. that it will destroy humanity. Not because it hates us but because it is indifferent to us. I mean humans with bulldozers don’t worry about the ants they inadvertently destroy when they are creating a parking lot.

And please don’t talk to me about posse comitatus. These people know no rules. They have nothing but contempt for rules. The President is going to have to temporarily abandon the rules himself in order to bring them to justice.

I bet if a few dozen of the worst offenders are found dead in various ways with suicide notes the rest will quickly get the message that they might just have to pay a price for their treason. Then the President should go in and fire everyone in the F.B.I. and rebuild the agency from scratch.

I know, I know, someone is going to reply to me and start screaming about the Constitution. But of what use is it when your enemies don’t abide by it? Temporarily suspend the Constitution. Have a night of the long knives to kill the right people and then reinstate it.

  • The Soviets did indeed play a huge part in destroying the war machine of Nazi Germany. It is, however, an overstatement to claim that they won the war. Limited strategic bombing by the Royal Air Force started in 1940. By 42 England was carrying out largely unrestricted bombing against Germany and by January of 43 America’s 8th Air Force joined in. From that point on Germany was enduring bombing day and night. One has to wonder if you took America and England out of the equation how much different Germany might have fared against the Soviets. Obviously it would have done much better. How much better is anyone’s guess.

If Hitler had gotten to Moscow with his first initial push and also captured the oil fields in the South it would have been a totally different war. Could he have prevailed against the Soviets without the bombing by the Allies? We will never know but it would have greatly improved his chances. But one thing is for sure. The world we know now would be a vastly different place.

Interesting comment. Germany, of course was fighting a war on two fronts and substantial aid from the allies went to Russia. As you made clear, the day and night bombing by UK and US followed the destruction of the Luftwaffe by same. The bombing was unhindered and stopped only in very bad weather. Germany's other, and probably most important problem rests with Hitler taking complete command of the military. Had Hitler listened to his general's the outcome on the eastern front would have been very different. As General Patton said with no one listening. Stalin was every bit the same psychopathic cutthroat as was Hitler, maybe worse.

It's not Marxism they'll need to 'get over'. It's a new Dark Age. The last took a thousand years to overcome. Many, like ruralguy, seem to think we are menaced by a resurgent left wing, but it's deeper, more pervasive than that. Look at our new-minted revolutionaries: with their chanting, espousal of tenets contrary to reason and a style of argumentation that relies solely on shouting down the opposition. Whatever else one may say about the 19th Century Communards and Anarchists, they were well armed with compelling arguments and stood on a firm intellectual base, likewise their 20th Century heirs in the Communist International. But the pygmies assembling today in the streets are actually uncivilized. Just look at them: how many are obese, covered in tattoos, with no sartorial judgment, incapable even of cutting or combing their hair! Dancing about and waving ill-constructed totems or childish signs, they are the merest savages. The conclusion is ineluctable, our future appears increasingly dark -- and it's anybody's guess how long it will be before a new dawn comes.

The Normandy bombing killed tenth of thousands of French civilians in their sleep. These bombings served no purposed whatsoever, as was well known beforehand. Add many times as much wounded, displaced and other victims of what some refer to as a war crime.

It was one of the first instances of mass civilians slaughter via aerial bombing. Fore some reason, an occupied, demilitarized country, supposedly in the same camp, was used for the experiment.

The Constitution is already dead if people in power use what is supposed to be a law enforcement agency to bust people with totally made up evidence. What was done to Flynn was nothing less than treason, and treason should be met with force. If you try and fight someone that is not playing by the rules and you stay within the rules you are already at a disadvantage.

My guess is you totally sympathize with the people that brought false witness against Flynn and you are horrified to find that there are people out there that think the President should use force against them.

I stand by everything I said. The people that did this committed treason. Trump should unleash the military on them and have the lot of them shot. That would be sweet irony. This country is decades overdue for a night of the long knives.

If you had said something like. “Allied bombing didn’t have as large effect as initially thought.” you might have a leg to stand on. But, just like a fool, instead of backing up and admitting that you overstated your case you simply dig your heels in and try to maintain your original false statement is true by trying to reference some historical work.

You admitted that the bombing killed women and children. It quite obviously killed some men too. If that was all it did without touching one factory it would have still hindered the war effort because it killed some of the people involved in war production.

Why don’t you just man up and admit that you overstated your case and thereby try and claw back one tiny shred of credibility for yourself. Because if you don’t do that your credibility is zero and you are quite obviously a confirmed dumbass. On display for the entire World to see.

“Allied bombing didn’t have as large effect as initially thought.” you might have a leg to stand on. But to claim the effect was “Nothing” is no less than shear buffoonery.

The two possible ways the the Allied Bombing could have impacted the German war machine is through bombing troops and supply depots and/or crippling factories so their production goals were not met.

Did Allied Bombing even target German troops or supply depots? No. In the 1944 book Bombing Vindicated, J. M. Spaight states that the British Bombers were designed to bomb cities and the goal of the bombing was to demoralize the German population. Let that sink in, hitting military targets wasn’t even the goal of the British bombing!

Were German factories unable to meet the Wehrmacht’s needs? No. In, fact German factories increased production during every year of the war except 1945 when they surrendered.

Remember, weapons don’t do you any good if you don’t have soldiers to wield them and it was the Red Army that killed the German soldiers while the RAF wasn’t even targeting them.

So in short, I stand by my original statement that the Allied Bombing effect on the German war machine was nothing.
