Of course, you are correct, and I merely intended to dispel some of the pro- SA white romanticism that seems to grip parts of the right, not to demonise white South Africans or Boers as a group. And you are correct, South Africa has become an unpleasant place for high IQ, rule-following professional types, as well as poor whites who have to compete with blacks and who I don’t have money to buy better services (but these would be on welfare in any First-world country).

But South African whites have, on the whole, as I said, not done as badly as would be assumed after the end of apartheid. The elite that negotiated the end of white rule created a clever system of Affirmative action and BEE ownership transfers to create a small black elite buffer (those SA whites who complain loudest about affirmative action are basically admitting that they can’t compete against a group of vastly inferior intelligence-they are not the sort who would thrive in the first world either). The upshot of this is that a white of fairly middling intelligence in South Africa can still make a go of things and do quite well. It isn’t hard to find white Executives without university degrees, for example. Private security and now private schools are rapidly becoming the norm for those with enough money.

South Africa is a haven for the slightly lawless go-getter, and SA whites fit that bill a lot better than they do the romanticised Right-wing view of the Boer farmer in his veldskoen protecting white civilisation from the black hordes in Africa.

I would suggest you look at the indicators for the North West province in South Africa, over the border with Botswana. It is dominated by the same ethnic group as Botswana, the Tswana, in much larger numbers.the North West is following the same trajectory as the rest of South Africa. Nothing special about it.

Botswana is lucky. It has a minuscule population, a conservative British governance tradition (they are still fond of their judicial hangings) and mining by the De Beers diamond cartel. Even then, it gets massive subsidies (35 % of government revenue) from South Africa via the Southern African Customs Union (SACU)-it is hardly a self sustaining entity.

But, being skilled and bright, they adapt pretty well, and learn to speak English.

But Africanisation is a reality, even if it is be denied by whites. Blacks never paid for government services, and whites are following. Sure the whites have some good excuses,many valid, but the fact is that 10 years ago, they’d have followed legal routes to deal with the issues, but today they’ll not pay, because they realise that the government is too weak to force them to pay. There are plenty of other cases where white South Africans are realising that they can follow the lawless attitude of blacks and get away with it. The less intelligent won’t shed those habits very easily if they leave SA.

Ask any recent white migrant to a first world country, from South Africa, how many speeding tickets they have accumulated. It’s part of the culture to break rules. South African whites don’t pay for many government services (they have their reasons, but the fact is that it is part of the culture that has spread from the blacks in the last 10 years). There are many other examples of where whites have assimilated unsavoury habits from blacks.

The bottom line is that the intelligent can adapt to the norms of first world societies. Once their less bright cousins start moving in they will struggle to shake off their culture.

BTW: The idea that the noble Boer is a bastion of civilisation is somewhat outdated. Earlier this year, a boer family, called the Van Bredas, newly returned from Perth, were bludgeoned to death with an axe in their ultra-secure home in the Cape. This is why the Right needs to be careful about uncritically accepting tales of “white genocide” in South Africa. They are not immune to bring suckered by white immigrants trying to get immigration standards loosened to “save” their family members.

The corollary of 98 IQ whites doing well in South Africa, is that they lack the deep levels of introspection necessary to realise how well they are doing. The latest horror story had a pretty young white teacher from Port Elizabeth being murdered by blacks-at the behest of her white husband. That’s pretty standard: White South Africans have started becoming very “African”(they’d never admit this to this of course). They don’t pay for government services, flout the law, and have a very flexible attitude to rules in general.

What is concerning, from the West’s perspective is that family reunification immigration policies are going to get these heavily Africanised South African whites into the first world at the behest of their more intelligent brethren.

It's much more expensive because our system is fully socialized with 4 separate levels of graft(Government, Insurgence, Drug companies, and medical facility). Women are very good at repetitive tasks, such as translating code to punch cards. Once programs became very large, difficult to debug, and required a deep understanding to code properly women dropped out. I work with 2 female programmer. Where as I love debugging and fixing problems more than anything else, they hate and become overwhelmed when things don't work right.

Back in the late 80s/early 90s, when I was living in Chicago it was comically apparent what bootlicking toadies all the local sportswriters were towards Jordan. But one of the Trib writers, Sam Smith, wrote a very unflattering book called The Jordan Rules about the Bulls' 1991 season.
