Based on a ten-day visit a few years back, if you’re a young [or not-so-young guy], Ukraine would be an excellent place to start a new life. Or Serbia. Or Cambodia. Or the EU if you can get a residence permit….If you don’t have marketable skills be prepared to hustle, [and bring a barrel of money from back home], and get married….but don’t fear the challenge. The alternative stateside sounds mighty bleak…
But, here's the reality: If you live in a sane, stable place like I do, the Midwest, other than what you're exposed to on the TV or internet......you'd have no idea about the crazy shit happening in America.
