Ah yes, John Schmitz.

Two of Schmitz's children, sons John and Joseph, have held prominent posts in Republican presidential administrations.[citation needed] Son Joseph Schmitz has also worked for the international security firm Blackwater USA.[citation needed] His daughter Mary Kay, a teacher, became well-known after her arrest for having a sexual relationship with a student, whom she later married.

Mary Kay Fualaau (née Schmitz, formerly Mary Kay Letourneau; born January 30, 1962) is an American former schoolteacher who pleaded guilty to two counts of felony second degree rape of a child, her 12-year-old student, Vili Fualaau. Her plea agreement called for six months in jail, with three months suspended, and no contact with Fualaau for life.

One month after her release from jail, she was caught by police with Fualaau. Judge Linda Lau found that she was in violation of the conditions of the plea agreement, vacated it and re-sentenced her to seven years in prison. She was incarcerated from 1998 to 2004.

Before her first arrest, she was impregnated by Fualaau and gave birth to their daughter Audrey while out on bail. She was impregnated by Fualaau a second time shortly after being released from jail in 1998 and gave birth to daughter Georgia while in prison.

After her release in 2004, since he was over 18, Fualaau asked the court for the no-contact order to be revoked, and the court agreed. Letourneau and Fualaau married in 2005, and she took his name.[1][2][3]

The name Letorneau is famous for the earthmoving equipment and Christian evangelistic outreach of the late R.G.Letorneau. I know he is related, but am not sure how closely.

I miss B-1 Bob. He wasn't as fun as Jim Trafficant, but he was fun. Congresscritters are so boring these days. The mentally retarded ones are briefly amusing, but stupidity is ultimately boring.

The Catholic school in SW Detroit is now called Detroit Cristo Rey High School. In 2008 it was 50 percent Hispanic, 40 percent black, with half the students Catholic. According to Wiki, "A student admitted in the ninth grade must be able to read at a seventh grade level; students unable to meet this requirement may not be admitted".

Renaissance High School like all black selective high schools in the country only has average ACT/SAT scores and most kids fail their AP exams. This includes DC's Benjamin Banneker, Brooklyn's Medgar Ever's Prep, and Chicago's Gwendolyn Brooks. These schools are nice for the talented tenth who can be smart without acting white and they have guidance counselors who can direct them towards scholarships at elite universities.

A 20 year-old Yemeni woman was kicked out of a Muslim Detroit charter high school when the school realized the government doesn't provide funding for 20 year-olds.
