RSSNow that we are getting some hard numbers, it’s becoming clear what happened. People in these very comments (and elsewhere across conservative media) have expressed dissatisfaction with Trump, his lack of action on issues and the ConInc. type characters he’s brought in to run his administration these last 4 years. Apparently, those disgruntled voters stayed home while Trump was pandering to Kanye, 50 Cent, latinos and the rainbow cohort. Emotional commenters still in denial should refrain from shooting the messenger. AE is not the only one to pick up on Trump losing a small, but meaningful slice of his core base among the working and middle classes. (https://tinyurl.com/y4gzu45b)
At this stage, it looks as if Trump choosing to dump Sailer’s strategy in exchange for the standard GOP pander strategy has proven fatal to his political prospects. Conservative candidates in the future who pay attention to this would do well not to make the same mistake.
All those months ago, AE predicted Kamala as the Democrat nominee. As it turns out, in a round about way at least, he was right after all.
Dasein may be projecting his own personal interests and priorities on current events a bit too much here. Possibly doing so as a sort of coping mechanism to make sense of the insanity we’ve witnessed the last several months. Understandable, but, no, the Ruling Class are quite clear on their goals. They are also very persistent – even over a period of decades they are relentless. As they have slowly subverted and taken complete control of the US military and the Pentagon, they have more recently been seeking to do so with the police.
While some city PDs are run by out of control mayors or sheriffs corrupted by power and greed, it is not universal across this vast country. The left’s mission is to centralize and bring under Federal supervision the various State and local law enforcement groups across America into one unified force. They were openly talking about this back when Kaepernick was taking his knee and the Obama Administration had legislation written to this effect, but it went nowhere with a GOP controlled congress on the hill. Now they are trying to bring this outcome to fruition a second time.
Antifa, BLM, Big Tech and the Ruling Class are all in lock step. To consider it is a marriage of convenience is somewhat amusing, considering the parties involved. Remember the mayor of NY? Some of our current ‘rulers’ have their own kids marching and causing destruction and violence in these protests. These nutty, young radicals are the next generation of left-wing leaders, they are the presumptive heirs to their parent’s empires.
This turnaround for Biden certainly speaks volumes to the power (if not the obsessive ruthlessness) of the Democrat machine. That said, it’s hard not to imagine Trump running rings around a 4th Stage Dementia patient. Those who have had elderly loved one go through this know it doesn’t take long from that point for the symptoms to become more serious and pronounced. The concerned look on Jill Biden’s face every time he is in public is pretty saddening and brings the point home to any casual observer.
As a general question to the room, would the Democrats be better off having Biden step aside at the convention in July while handing the nomination to someone else? Off the top of my head I can’t think of anyone with as broad an appeal to the moderate left (or more vanilla) than Uncle Joe. Perhaps they feel that pairing him with a young, woke POC should be enough, but having this guy lead the ticket will undoubtedly keep their strategists up at nights – at least until election day.
