Putin leads and represents a people who include at least 15-18 million native-born Muslim citizens, plus millions more legal RF residents from central Asia.

Fertility rates are terribly low across Russia, in both more-Slavic/Christian European Russia and less-Slavic/Christian Asian Russia.

But Chechnya is almost the only oblast in the Russian Federation with a total fertility above replacement level. Chechnya has a small population and its fertility rate has declined a lot in recent years too, but it keeps growing while the population of almost every other oblast ages and shrinks.

More important than Chechnya's unique population growth is ongoing immigration from neighboring Turkic central Asian nations (Kazakkstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan). (I've also met and spoken with two Turkish men who spend part of each year living in Russia for construction and renovation work, but I don't know that any meaningful number of actual Turks are allowed to settle in Russia as permanent residents, let alone citizens.)

Thus, the RF's population is slowly but inexorably becoming more Muslim and Turkic, and less Christian and Slavic. This would still be happening, though much more slowly, if central-Asian immigration were restricted.

Putin builds churches, attends church, enacts laws against homosexual propagandizing of minors, and praises traditional Christian mores and "scriptures." What would you have Putin do to disfavor Muslims or downgrade or disparage Islam's role in Russian society ... that would not cause sectarian resentment and violence and break his country apart?

SPECIFICALLY what would you do in Putin's position to avoid being branded as impermissibly "pro-islamic"? Deny permits to build mosques? Tear down existing mosques? Discriminate against Muslim Russian citizens in government employment and contracting? Pick a fight with a Muslim country and murder its men, women and children in their homes like the US does? Impose economic sanctions and cut off trade with Muslim countries? WHAT?

Actually, Anglin is not talking about homosexuals, but about gays. Contrary to common disinformation campaigns, gay and homosexual are not synonyms. Gays are people with a political totalitarian agenda. The fact that most of them are homosexuals is irrelevant. Proof of this is that gays have become the 5th column of the New World Order conspirators, a fact that has nothing to do with homosexuality.
