Time to end the lockdowns.
https://garveys-ghost.blogspot.com/2020/08/time-to-end-lockdowns.html
I’d absolutely go again. I’d prefer to NOT use the drive through. I’d put on my mask or scarf, keep calm and carry on.
Related. Was at a Wendy’s today. The drive through window had plexiglass similar to what is being used in the supermarket. However; since the plexiglass stops above where the food and money is exchanged it is essentially of no use. Why? Because the direct avenue of transmission from driver to attendant and vice versa is unobstructed.
Clearly a case of safety theatre.
But that is what’s going on. A lot of safety theatre and not a lot of safety logic. Clearly the data shows and has shown that general outdoors activity is very safe. There should be lifting of all prohibitions of use of public outdoor spaces that are not concerts and the like.
I think for spaces like movie theatres there should be a closure of every other row and people strongly encouraged to not sit next to people who are strangers to them. My larger concern would be AC systems. I look at a movie theatre as a mini cruise. Confined space with artificial air maintenance. How long is too long in such a situation?
Similar for work places in offices. How long is too long and under what ventilation scenarios?
Also given the demographics of those who are most affected by Wuhan, might it be prudent to put some restrictions on persons with certain BMIs and health conditions? Should companies be given broad immunity from lawsuits if they hire or otherwise allow to work people in higher risk categories who fall sick presumably from a work derived infection? I think a lot of companies are closed not only due to govt orders but legal issues that could arise from asking employees to do their jobs.
In my local multi-plex, I'm usually sitting in a mostly empty theatre anyway, as I'm watching a matinee showing of a movie for grown-ups, not a comic-book movie.

I went to Culver's. One pays at the window, where the cashier has gloves, then drives up to a space to wait for another worker to bring a closed-bag order to the car on foot.

Disagree on the exercise hypothesis.
The data, ventilator use, clearly shows that lack of lung capacity to move massive [relatively speaking) amounts of air is part of the problem. Hence the mortality rates of obese and people with CV issues.
So why did the choir members get sick? same reason the subway riders and medical professionals got sick: dosage (same air for extended periods of time).
Secondly I’ve notice a pattern (albeit anectdotal) that many symptoms occur “in the morning” as in ” I woke up and my throat was…”. When we sleep we move very little air which may allow pathogens time to get deep into the lungs without the pressure of exhaling deeply.
Also. Nose breathing. If you are “out of shape” you probably mouth breath which is not the optimal way to breath.

Am I the only one willing to comment on the sex gap?
” Even the most sophisticated Arab diplomats that I dealt with did not understand why the First Amendment allows someone to burn a Koran. Why, they asked me, would you ever want to protect that?
It’s a fair question.”
No.
No, it is NOT a fair question. As a non-Muslim the Koran is no different than the NYT. I discard of it as I see fit. That you may be offended by how I discard of it is not of my concern. That’s YOUR emotional burden, not mine.
This notion that the state is obligated to protect the emotions of the citizenry needs to die a quick death.
Since some Hispanics *are* black, there will always be some overlap between hispanic politics and black politics. The non-overlap will be present amongst Indios (or anyone with no or negligible black ancestry).
Asians on the other hand have nothing to gain by an Asian black alliance. They have the income/wealth, are growing their own communities and so only need political representation, which will be coming shortly. See how the whole NYC elite schools thing is going.
Can’t play the slavery game with Asians. Can’t play the Jim Crow, Redlining, etc. with Asians. Asians can say “we don’t owe you a damn thing” and there is no reply black people can give to that.
That “keep my/her/his name out your mouth” is actually a threat to physical violence. It’s essentially a “say that shit again and see what happens” kind of comment. Someone says that to you, the proper response is: “and what if I do?” followed by saying the name again.
It is clear bullying and a violation of so called “twitter rules”.
There are in fact “colored people” in Le Tour. Have been for many years. Not a whole lot (as in, counting with one hand) but they are there.
I discussed the failure of “large black” businesses to be run by black people using the example of Oprah’s Harpo studios:
https://garveys-ghost.blogspot.com/2014/06/stating-obvious-shocks-people.html
” One thing is sure: having dark skin pigmentation is as irrelevant here as speaking a Kenyan language. The idea of “race” has nothing to contribute to the debate. ”
Please don’t notice the linked trait!
“The concept of ‘race’ persists, even though it is biologically meaningless. This important book considers why”
Never mind the picture of black people running….
Has anyone ever pursued the idea that these “sessions” being paid for and where mandated by state agencies for it’s employees, are unconstitutional vis-a-vis West Virginia State Board of Education v. Barnette?
“Dense urban areas are quite literally the “real America” — the cities are where two-thirds of Americans live, and they account for almost all national economic output.”
Yeah, and these people living in “dense urban areas” depend on “fake America” for food, without which their “real America” couldn’t exist.
I suppose next this fool will want all “real Americans’ to live in coffin apartments like they do in Hong Kong. That would be “efficient” wouldn’t it! I mean how dare people want to have a bedroom AND a bathroom!
Let the “fake Americans” stop delivering food to these urban centers. Let the oil producing and processing “fake Americans” stop delivering the goods that make urban living even possible and see how the “real America” deals with reality.
The Black-Hispanic thing:
“. Yet again we see no evidence for the faux idea that blacks and Hispanics are at each other’s throats.”
The most obvious confound here is that “hispanic” is not a race. There are many “Black” Hispanics and generally speaking they are not considered “not black”.
The true test of this issue would be to break down “Hispanic” into component groups. I’m willing to put large money on the table that once split out, “White” and “Indio” hispanics will rate far lower than the above chart would imply.
“You’d kinda like to know that.”
You’d think. My experience in casinos reflects the general MSM world: People refuse to believe the maths.
I’ll point this out again. As a person who plays BlackJack, I know that a 1% edge can result in HUGE payouts in the long run. If even 7% of household income is attributable to genetic factors, when looking at large populations over long periods of time, that 7% could result in HUGE differences in overall wealth.
Speaking of WAZE. Apple’s Siri suggestions used to tell me to do things at days and times that I usually do them. I thought to myself: Hey, I wonder how many marriages this has ended.
I mean all you have to do is look at the notifications (present onscreen without a password) and there it was: “It will take you 20 minutes to go to x.”
‘honey…why is your phone telling you to go to x?”
Interestingly after an update Siri stopped doing anything other than “home” and “work”.
lol
“Millennials and Zeds who’ve gone through the post-modern university system are far, far more inclined towards the use of violence than those who have steered clear of academia.”
Eh. Video game violence =/= real violence.
I’m quite sure that the first one to get the sharp end of a knife to any number of body parts or gets some hot lead in the abdomen resulting in that wheel chair life will soften that pro-violence idea right quick.
Matter of fact, from what I’ve seen in the gym, a good slap in the face by someone who is clearly not fucking around will solve that problem quickly as well.
No. It took me a while to figure this out but it’s not an appeal to the 1.5%. It is an appeal to the 40-50% who are sympathetic to the 1.5% to the point that they are hostile to the other 50-60% who are not sympathetic.
Target didn’t open the bathrooms to whomever because their research showed that there was a huge untapped market of cross-dressers. They did it because of the people who sympathize with them.
Similarly, Gillette did their thing because their target audience is sympathetic to the ideas that were put into the commercial.
Perhaps, but the most important thing is they channel LOADS of finances into the Democratic party as well as holding significant policy positions in both parties. THAT’s where the power lies.
I have a problem with this:
” “White businessmen now recognize that the urban poor and lower-income consumers can be made to pay much higher prices than affluent white suburbanites for commodities, so long as adequate lines of credit are made available to them.””
Why is it that liberals act as if there aren’t:
1) Affluent black people.
2) Affluent black people who are suburbanites?
This constant “povertizing” of black people is one of the reason I don’t deal with libs/dems anymore.
That said when I brought my first new car I bought in an upscale neighborhood and got shafted. I didn’t know it because I wasn’t financially literate. That was *my* fault. Should the finance department been more ethical? Sure but it’s buyer beware. This was *before* the internet. Before the internet was on your phone. I don’t care how “non-affluent” the neighborhood, every mofo “in the hood” has a smartphone of some sort or a friend with a smartphone of some vintage. If you don’t do research it’s because *you didn’t care to*. That’s not racism. That’s lack of motivation.
Did she explain how and when legal separate but equal came back into effect? I certainly didn’t notice that the last time I paid my taxes, applied for my tax ID, got my license or anything of the sort.
But then again, I have noticed that I, as a black person, can say shit that gets white people fired, de-platformed and financially ruined.
PS: Ron, can I get out the Moderation Box so my comments don’t show up hours after I’ve posted, please?
“: “White people are to blame for the suffering of African Americans. Those white people have been all different faiths & they justified themselves, it’s certainly not their religions’ fault. The Jews who participated in the slave trade were abetting many anti-Semites in the South.””
Those Africans who sold off other Africans for things such as bath tubs and cowery shells are of course blameless because:
1) They didn’t understand what they were doing
2) They were being threatened with canons and shit.
3) They really didn’t benefit at all.
4) The white man made them do it because the black man has to do whatever the white man says.
5) none of the above
6) all of the above except 5.
For the benefit of those who don’t understand:
Once an ISP has your IP address and location where you posted from, which is very, very easy to get. They then look for where else the IP address has gone to: Gmail, facebook, Twitter, etc. Eventually there is enough evidence, say going to a page with information that identifies you, to be pretty certain who you are.
For example, if you post from your job, then the IP goes to your job. If an interested party is really interested, then can have the IT dept look up that IP traffic for the given time. They will know which computer had the IP at that time and thus WHO the actual person was.
If you use a lab machine at a school then you likely had to give up your ID to get a temp ID to login. Once that happens you are in the same boat as an employee at the same school.
Also, if you log on and comment from work and then go home and visit the exact same sites using the same moniker, you can be ID’d that way.
You paid your online bill from the same machine with that IP address? You’ve been ID’d.
The only thing that can keep you anonymous, aside from serious sec-ops is to not be online. Hence if you’re online and you comment, you ought to be mindful of what and how you say things.
I’m triggered when I play Video Poker and 3 Kings appear.

Given that the NYT has reported that none of the recent “known” “anti-semetic” acts in NYC have been the doing of “far right” or “White nationalists”, there’s reason to believe that this is either a hoax or the doing of someone with a particular grudge against this individual.
Also, Since there are cameras everywhere, it’s odd that we don’t have any kind of footage of people in the area. Also. Since most offices are locked after hours, it would seem probable that someone with access did it. WHO has access?
Also, Have we found out who vandalized Lebron’s house or have we let that drop?
If it was an inside job, it will be very hard to prove.

“The US military has not won a war since 1945, with the exception of the First Gulf War, which the LAPD could have won. It lost decisively in Vietnam. It got run out of Lebanon with 241 dead Marines as its only accomplishment. After seventeen years it shows no signs of defeating barely armed Afghan peasants. Iraq has been a complete botch, achieving none of its goals, control of the oil, permanent bases, and a puppet government. Just now the military is losing in Syria.”
Let’s be clear here. The reason for any and all these “losses” the international restrictions on engagement. Afghanistan could be a nuclear wasteland and been done with. Short of that mass carpet bombing of any and everything that moves in various locations would end some of these ‘wars” quickly.
Not saying that doing either of these things are a good idea in terms of international relations (or even human decency) but let’s not kid ourselves in regards to what the US military is actually capable of.
“A month ago, I hung out with a Vietnamese-American friend who’s a professor at a California university. Though H. came to the US as a child, she never adopted an Anglo first name. Plus, H. speaks Vietnamese reasonably well, visits Vietnam often and has built her entire academic career on Vietnam. Despite all this, H. does not consider Vietnam to be her nation, “because this place is entirely owned by men,” an oversimplistic assertion, I thought, and told her so. Tellingly, H. also doesn’t consider the US to be her country. In her mid 50’s, H. is divorced, so she’s not only nationless, but without anyone to come home to.”
Very powerful statement. I guarantee that she is full of regret but to proud to say.
A relatively lengthy discussion of the paper that the above graph came from:

Our population reference set consisted of 148 individuals (a continental reference panel of 37 individuals from across Europe, 37 from Nigeria with Sub-Saharan African ancestry, 37 from across the Americas with Native American ancestry, and 37 individuals from China).
Actually they address that in the paper.
1) “It is not possible to use Native American reference sequences from inside the United States, since Native American groups within the US have not chosen to participate in recent population genetics studies.”
2) “For Native American references, we used samples within the 1000 Genomes project of Native American ancestry; these samples come from Mexico, Peru, and Colombia. ”
The primary objection here is/should be the use of some 1/256 Native American DNA to “race claim” when convenient. If she can do it, then any and everybody should be able to.
Yeah, except:
” an unadmixed Native American ancestor in the pedigree at approximately 8 generations before the sample,”
Note the “unadmixed”.
Hence the probability of a 3rd great-grandparent being 50% is zero.
If the nearest unmixed NA was 8 generations back (7th-great-grandparent) then the only 50% person was 6th-great grandparent.
And we’ll note that the author cited said that the unadmixed NA ancestor could be further back.
LOLReplies: @sondjata
if Trump can improve his numbers with Blacks up to the 10% to 15% level, the Democrats would be in real trouble.
Actually the real deal would be to target black men. Black men support Trump almost 2:1 compared to black women. Keep hammering on jobs, immigration (related since a large portion of black men have to compete with immigrant labour at the “low end” of the market) and the recent ‘due process” issue brought about by “Special K”.
A detailed:
1) Your unemployment numbers are the lowest since…
2) See what we did in Chicago when we got the illegal workers put out?
3) Bring Brian Banks to a rally in any city with a relatively large black population and let him tell his story about how “believe women” got him jail time.

What makes us well? Diversity, health care, and cycling to work By Ziba KashefFor example, living in a community with a higher percentage of black residents was associated with greater well-being for all.
One of their example cities
Chittenden county VT:
90.5% are white
– 2.1% are black
– 3.0% are asian
– 0.2% are native american
– 0.1% claim Other
– 2.0% claim Hispanic Ethnicity
“For example, living in a community with a higher percentage of black residents was associated with greater well-being for all.”
2.1% is “high”?
Yeah. This is what I experienced. I was put in the “AP” class. Couldn’t quite hang (math and I had issues at the time). Instead of dropping me into the “e” class, they dropped me into the regular class.
The level of stupidity and behavior problems were shocking. After only one day in that shit my mother and I went directly to the admin and made it clear I was to be put into the “e” track classes.
That was much better but still nowhere near the discipline and level of the AP classes.
I believe I said that.
Generally
“going out together” means:
1) They ‘hung out” but it wasn’t the “Hey lets size each other up for sex” kind of thing. He/she was available and had nothing better to do.
2) 1 party wishes to get laid. If it’s a guy he’s trying the “nice guy” routine of “no pressure, lets have fun” in order to hope she “grows” to like him enough to give him some one day. Usually doesn’t happen but hope springs eternal.
3) Fuck buddies. Given the time frame I’m going to say this is least possible. If it was “current year” I would have put this at the top.
1) What is with all these “letters” from organizations being put “in the record”? For what? None of them are evidence about the events that allegedly took place. Why are they even being considered?
2) I hope Kav sues the representative from HI. She flat out called Kav a criminal with no basis whatsoever. He was slandered on international video. And not ONE senator interrupted with “alleged”.
Oh and she’s afraid to fly BUT takes a job with a company where she is expected to travel? Also has apparently done a lot of flying? Really? You didn’t know that there was an offer to come to Cali for testimony?
Every fucking body on the internet knew of this offer within minutes of it being made. HTF did she not know?
So now that they are on break, I can say that she admitted that she was watching the process and basically was going to stay silent because she thought that other nominees would be chosen. However; once she saw that Kav wasn’t going down, she “stepped up”. Basic admitting to political reasons rather than “civic duty”.
And yeah, Fuck Coons.
By her own admission, since she was good with being quiet so long as it was possible/likely that Kav wouldn’t be confirmed, she was good with her “attempted rapist” to be a judge in his current capacity. One would THINK that if she were so traumatized by the events that she claims is the sole “environmental” cause (because we apparently ALL have biological ticking timebombs waiting for the right environment to go off), she would have reported her allegations sooner.
“That someone like Ron Jeremy could possibly even get laid in real life?”
Just because there were cameras around and money exchanged does not mean it wasn’t “real life”.
Man, you can lie on the story all you want. The evidence is in plain view for all to see.

“Just before noon on August 9, 2014, Darren Wilson was heading for a lunch date with Barb when his radio announced that there was a “stealing in progress” at the nearby Ferguson Market and Liquor. The dispatcher offered a description of the two suspects. Wilson radioed back: “Do you guys need me?” The dispatcher replied that the suspects had “disappeared.””
and
“Wilson was heading west on Canfield Drive, his window open, in his department-issued Chevrolet Tahoe. He spotted Brown and Johnson, and called out to them to use the sidewalk. According to Wilson, Brown replied, “Fuck what you have to say.” (Johnson denies that Brown said this, and claims that Wilson told them, “Get the fuck on the sidewalk.”) Wilson surmised that Brown and Johnson were the robbery suspects, based on the descriptions offered on the radio and the cigarillos in Brown’s hands. After calling for backup, Wilson parked his vehicle at an angle, barricading the roadway.”
“The officer that shot Michael Brown and the rationale involved — had nothing — nothing to do with what transpired at the mini mart — Nothing. The officer did not know about the incident, , was not responding to a call about the incident —- nothing about the mini-mart had anything to do with the shooting. Had that been the case the narrative and discussion would have been different. I say that because black people put other black people on trial for just such behavior — even when they are arrested by police who don’t like black people.”
Man, this is such BS, that your hands must reek after typing it.
Darren Wilson was on his way from a call when he heard the call about the mini-mart. When he was on his way there, he stumbled across Brown and his buddy walking down the street. It was after he passed them that he realized that Brown matched the description of the mini-mart assault perp and proceeded to reverse back.
Hello. As usual, enjoyed the read. However; I must point out the following:
You said:
“The Civil Rights victories of 1964 and 1965—the public accommodations act and voting rights act—created tremendous anxiety among African Americans about how they would fit into a desegregated society, so the rise of black separatism at exactly that moment of legislative triumph was not an accident. It offered a segment of the black population the choice of opting out of the new disposition of things. Opting out had consequences, and over several generations since then, the cohort of poorer black Americans has grown only more oppositional, antagonistic, and economically dysfunctional—with the sanction of America’s non-black “diversity” cheerleaders, who remain adamant in their own opposition to the idea of common culture.”
I’d like to dissent from this position. Particularly since I am an admirer of a so called “separatist”: Marcus Garvey.
Firstly, since Garvey predates the “Civil Rights Victories” we can be certain that “black separatism” is far older than alluded to here. Secondly, “black separatism” is not the cause of “economic dysfuncton” and the like since black separatists (not to be confused with nutty groups) are FOR economic activity. FOR business. For self-sufficiency and FOR earning ones “equality” by way of work.
Indeed, it is the “integrationist” groups who have promoted the dysfunction and antagonism by promoting a sense of historical entitlement. Indeed these people not only want IN on the larger society, they expect to be supported *by* that same society (what Derbyshire recently referred to as parasitism).
So I believe you’ve hitched the wrong horse to the wrong cart in this part.
You are absolutely correct. I lay that out here:
https://garveys-ghost.blogspot.com/2014/09/lets-talk-domestic-violence-sometime.html
“And since we are talking about black folks the prior report also had this little piece
Race/ethnic specific estimates suggest that African American and Hispanic women report higher rates of IPV perpetration compared to Caucasian women. A nationally-representative survey found the prevalence of female perpetrated IPV to be 30.0% among African-Americans, 21.0% among Hispanic, and 16.0% among Caucasian women (Caetano, Schafer, & Cunradi, 2001; Caetano, Cunradi, Schafer, & Clark, 2000; Cunradi, Caetano, Clark, & Schafer, 1999). [my emphasis]”
Actually, animal sacrifice for religious purposes is legal in America. The legal trouble is in the proper disposal of the carcass.
The real deal here is that Ezra thinks we’re too dull to get that the vast majority of the time the #killall and #CancelALL tags are not meant literally. However he’s too dull to realize that some of the people using the tag really do want that. Literally. And why should I spend my time figuring out which one is which. If a group of people repeatedly say that will punch me in the face am I paranoid to be on the defensive whenever I hear it? Doesn’t the secret service investigate death threats to the president even though 99% of the time, the threat is not “literal”? Of course they do. It’s the one mofo who’s serious who gets the opportunity (or provides the motivation for someone else to take the opportunity a-la-Dallas, a -la-NYC) that we have to worry about. Hence why Jeong shouldn’t have even been given a job in the mail room.
“And nobody applied these versus on the People of the Book – they were always given the dhimmi option by consensus.”
because dhimmitude is the bestest thing ever.
Hence why you don’t apologize.
“There was just one single Syrian…It was absurd.”

“The closing stores are often in “major metro areas where increases in wage and occupancy and other regulatory requirements” are making them unprofitable, Johnson said. “Now, in a lot of ways, it’s middle America and the South that presents an opportunity.””
Seems to me that this is probably more of the issue.
“The book asserts that Tiger has been a net winner at the casinos, in contravention of the laws of probability.”
Depends on what game(s) he played. There are beatable games in casinos.
Furthermore “probability” and “odds” are different animals.
Oh do tell. What are they? And did you beat then yourself? If so, how did you do it?
There are beatable games in casinos.
Honestly, after Cockburn passed Counterpunch took a dive in quality IMO. I essentially gave up on it (though I keep it in my RSS feed) after the Ferguson incident. The quality of writing on the subject was so below par I was actually shocked. I wrote a series of articles that soundly ridiculed the CP entries to which I received e-mails claiming that I must either be some old white golfer pretending to be black or a black person who hates black people. *shrug*.
A lot of the articles found there are lacking in citations, lacking in logic and are generally written for echo chambers.
All explained in The Sequential Equation:
+I;S;E;P;M
It reads as such:
the positive intellectual transformation of society (+I) stands firmly behind the social trasnformation of society (+S). All social problems are economic (+E) and all economic problems are political (+P) and military aims presuppose politial objectives (+M)
Also works for the negative:
-i;s;e;p;m
the negative intellectual transformation of society -i) stands firmly behind the negative social trasnformation of society (-s). All social problems are economic (-e) and all economic problems are political (-p) and military aims presuppose politial objectives (-m)
Hence once the cult-mars got a hold of the educational system and media, they were able, over time to do -i. Once a critical mass of the -i mindset was met, there was a rapid transformation of society. Started slowly with the whole “get an inch, wait for objections to stop being raised, go again” to leaps and bounds (Trans this and that, censorship physical violence against ‘wrong talk/ wrong action”)
This all pushed upwards to the economics (see Starbucks and other virtue signaling corporations) and politics.
None of this turns around until a critical mass of +I is attained and followed through.
“3. That blacks are actors more often against whites in criminal activity — is not an indication that blacks target whites — certainly not merely because they are white. It’s a simple state on interactions — as discussed.”
Willfull ignorance of the fact that many whites are in fact targeted because they are white makes for a poor argument. You should give Colin Flagherty a follow and then come back and revisit your commentary.
In regards to this:
“a. Another shocker, the more desperate the circumstances in which people live, the more likely the crime rate, including violent crimes are likely to be — seems to be a phenomenon regardless of color, but we have worked over time to make any and all human commonalities uniquely blacks especially if its negative. The longer anyone groups occupies said environments without a shift, the more sustained violent environments thrive, hence the term cycle of violence, poverty, etc —”
The poverty as explanation for crime rates has been debunked:
http://garveys-ghost.blogspot.com/2017/05/and-now-we-destroy-poverty-argument.html
for example:
“Black residents of block groups with incomes greater than $60 000 per year had firearm assault rates similar to those of White residents of areas with incomes between $20 001 and $30 000.”
And
“Therefore, unlike previous research in Chicago, race does not appear to be a surrogate for economic status in determining violent firearm injury risk in Philadelphia.3 Rather, our findings echo those of Kalesan et al.,5 who found that nationally, Black children were more likely than White children to be hospitalized with firearm injury regardless of neighborhood income level.”
Links to original report are in the blog entry.
While it isn’t in the article, the NYC Compstat data that was presented has graphs and numbers for victims of various crimes by race.
A few of those graphs can be seen here:
http://garveys-ghost.blogspot.com/search?q=black+on+black+crime
” Sites like Vdare.com and Breitbart News endlessly paint Latins as stupid, filthy, socially irresponsible, and unable to learn English. This does not bode will for the future of a country in which Latin and Anglo will have to live together.”
From the rest of the article I can say without any doubt that though the author may have in fact *visited* these websites, he has not in fact read it’s commentary past perhaps the headlines.
For example:
“For example, I have read in Alt-Right sites like Vdare and Breitbart News for years that Mexicans in particular are filthy, throw trash everywhere, and leave their children in dirty diapers.”
Most often when these comments are written at a vdare article, it is with a link to an article somewhere else that has described the situation as such. One thing that Vdare does is it almost always has a link to source material for claims made by the author’s article. One may not care for the position taken by whomever wrote the piece ( I have on more than a few occasions) but it is almost impossible for any honest person to say that Vdare does not meticulously source their material within whatever article it has posted, which is far better than what was written above.
I'm sure I remember Mr. Reed having his column featured on VDare at some point, maybe 2-5 years back. I'm sure he could come on here and tell us if that's indeed so.
I can say without any doubt that though the author may have in fact *visited* these websites, ...
“Haier responded: “I consulted several people about this. I decided that it’s better to deal with these things with sunlight and by inclusion.…The area of the relationship between intelligence and group differences is probably the most incendiary area in the whole of psychology. And some of the people who work in that area have said incendiary things. … I have read some quotes, indirect quotes, that disturb me, but throwing people off an editorial board for expressing an opinion really kind of puts us in a dicey area. I prefer to let the papers and the data speak for themselves.””
The actual proper response to people asking that employees or associates be fired for stating facts is as follows:
Fuck off.

“Also trips to Home Depot are very traumatizing. You know they have ropes and chains in that place?”
I’m a racist. Are you?

“reading of texts such as The Wretched of the Earth, and Black Skin, White Masks, by black French revolutionary and anti-colonialist writer Frantz Fanon”
I’ve read both books yet I’m not a marxist. Indeed those two books did influence me but I realized those books are far more a critique of the so called “black revolutionary” than it is so called “white supremacy”.
If anything the so called BLM and Antifa types would do well to read and re-read the chapters in Wretched on the pitfalls of violence and the ‘revolutionary” class that is incapable of running the systems they think they want to destroy.
Even the late Kwame Ture who saw first hand what the “revolutionaries” in Africa wanted to do soon found himself “out of Africa”.
I never did memorize the multiplication table and fractions killed my chances at mastering calculus but I damn sure memorized three different Blackjack basic strategy charts as well as determining true counts to make money. Sometimes it’s about incentivizing rather than actual intelligence.
Posted this there and posting it here:
“Why have blacks failed to build much wealth? Well, African-Americans tend to be the poorest Americans but the richest Africans.”
Leaving out Africans, Blacks generally have less median wealth because, in gamblers parlance, they risk too much of their bank.
Stories abound on how much black folks spend on sneakers, motor vehicles and hair care products.
I recall that a long time ago I was reading Black Enterprise magazine. They have a section where they give a random reader advice on how to get out of debt and without fail the largest non-housing expense was their vehicle. Now BE had an advertising contract with Ford and Nissan at the time and so they would never tell their readers to *stop purchasing new vehicles* But that advise would have resulted in enormous gains in wealth in a single generation.
I know people with less than half my income and a fraction of a fraction of my net worth who have the latest phones, latest clothes and latest shoes (and we’re not talking PayLess).
This is not to say that there are not white (or other) people who do poorly in the money management department, but when your group is in the money shit hole, these unwise decisions compound the problem.
And I haven’t even mentioned the marriage gap.
I’m tired of this whiny shit. Do these people even know what a science lab looks like?
Where are the African engineers building stupendous skyscrapers without the help of the Chinese?
Where’s the fucking African designed, built and hoisted space craft? Space station?
Can you build a modern car? Please?
Fuck it. Why are the Kibera slums STILL without piped in water?
And people want to know why there are so few black science Nobel Prizes?
How about getting off the SJW BS and getting in an engineering class and DO something other than complaining.
Tired of whiny Negroes. Tired of White people whining on behalf of whiny Negroes.
And I’m black.
Sorry for the language Steve but dammit I’m tired of this BS.
Very depressing. Although removing waste seems more tangibly awful -- at least superficially.
Fuck it. Why are the Kibera slums STILL without piped in water?
You're not just black, you're awesome, dude.
Tired of whiny Negroes. Tired of White people whining on behalf of whiny Negroes.
And I’m black.
Can anyone recall any blacks who won Nobels in natural science?
And people want to know why there are so few black science Nobel Prizes?
How about getting off the SJW BS and getting in an engineering class and DO something other than complaining.
“Probability alone would say that if only 5-10% of entrants were woman, and they were as likely to to have the same skill sets and ability as men, that we should have seen a female finalist by now.”
This person clearly doesn’t gamble. Simply because something has the probability of happening 5% of the time doesn’t mean that they will happen 5% of the time. Shit is called variance and depending on the SD variance can swing quite wide.
All that aside, there would need to be 100 years of finalists (or 100 finalist events) required before we can even know if the 5% probability is in fact accurate. 14 is too small a sample.
I agree with the author but I want to add that the escalation here should worry a lot of people. It wasn’t just the fisticuffs, it was the presence of “bombs” in the form of M80s going off. This is a significant “level up” from the usual sticks and mace. I am certain that unless the law is harshly enforced, there will be gunfire.
People familiar with American history knows the whole Crispus Attucks incident that precipitated the American revolution. I think we are inching towards such an event. People might scoff at the whole civil war comparisons but I think it’s far more likely than people think.
“…achingly close to the 11.7 percent found in Denmark and well on the way to the 20 percent chance you would expect in a perfectly just world.”
Where did she get this stat from and what exactly is a “perfectly just world”?
Secondly, taking this 20%, this means that she’s admitting that a large majority of “the poor” cannot climb out of poverty, even in a “perfectly just world”. Wouldn’t that imply that there is something about “the poor” rather than the environment that keeps them poor?
“really want to succeed and really want their kids to live better lives than them and aren’t sort of clipping coupons or hoping that they can hang on and meanwhile grew up as spoiled kids and so forth”
Anyone who has read The Millionaire Next Door knows full well that a “great defense” of one’s income, including coupon clipping, is a part of the path to building wealth.
I suppose Kristol would like for us to overpay for goods and services.
It's interesting to note the change in meaning of "clipping coupons." Probably this has to do with the disappearance of bearer bonds (no new ones were issued after the passage of TEFRA in 1986). I think I last clipped bond coupons in about 2005, when the last of my bearer bonds matured. "Clipping coupons" used to be a sort of abbreviation for collecting a passive income.Replies: @Jack D
"sort of clipping coupons or hoping that they can hang on and meanwhile grew up as spoiled kids and so forth"
As others have pointed out, his position on “gun control” would cost him the bid.
I would think that carrying away a couple million people out of say 100 million with a mortality rate probably exceeding 20% in transit, a 10% mortality rate upon arrival and maybe a 1% mortality rate in the work, would give a good argument for a founder effect.
But since you disagree, please do point out why.
Having just wrote on this matter and being a runner I’d like to posit the following:
Lets assume no doping. Having made that assumption, lets also look at WHO is winning. It is not simply “West Africans” but West Africans of the diaspora. West Africans also compete under France and England (among others) but do not usually WIN much less set records.
My hypothesis is that the trans-Atlantic slave trade gave the diaspora a founder effect. Composed of West Africans from the Senegambia down to the Ngolans.
That experience also acted as a brutal un-natural selector for certain genes such that their combination comes at a higher frequency among that population.
I think this would probably also explain why it is certain Kenyans and probably certain Ethiopians who do extremely well in the distance races. If it were simply about technique, Europeans and Europeans descended Americans would KILL in the long distance races (and short ones) because without a doubt there is far more science here than Kenya , Jamaica, Trinidad, etc.
Oh and Jamaicans absolutely SUCK at long distance races.
Now we know full well about fast twitch and slow twitch muscles. But running fast is also about mitochondria, which is entirely separate from “Chromosomal genes”. It is about respiration. Lactate threshold and a whole host of physiological things that have to go “right”.
We’ll note that in the World Championships that just passed there was A Chinese who made the finals and medaled because someone else was disqualified. I’m certain that the Chinese have “techniqued” the hell out of the short distance running yet still barely medalled in a race that was not even world record pace.
Agreed Clyde. It’s the first thing that came to mind to me. We are supporting Feminists using govt power to deny entry to someone who clearly is not coming to mooch off the state but will actually boost revenue to the businesses that will be involved in and around his concerts?
"Complete garbage. The firefighter test is standardized, and you can pick up a study guide in your local library. The CT case was about a white guy who studied his ass off, for several hours each and every day, seeing his test results thrown out because not a single black made the cut."
Hey doofus. I know more about the case than you do:
"What she failed to point out however, is that black businesses are also under-represented everywhere in America because blacks are incapable of creating and maintaining their own businesses. "
Actually that is not true. Kersey has documented this in his discussion of Birmingham.
The No. 1 biggest killer of black business was integration. Combined with the overwhelming desire of many black people to live where white people live and shop, etc. where white people shop, integration was the death knell of black business districts across the country.
Prior to integration the largest limiter of black business was it's inability to corner other ethnic group's money (as is done in their own communities) via legal (and extra-legal) means.
"Also, how do illegal aliens manage to find jobs that the negroes miss?"
-Answer: "Negroes" being citizens of the US are shitcanned by the same companies that shit can you. See when Negroes, being the citizens that they are, decide they want living wages when an illegal immigrant will take whatever and live 5 to a room, guess who gets employed?
And when enough "illegal aliens" fill a workplace then one must be "bilingual" to be employed. Well most "Negroes" are not bilingual (again like most citizens)so they do not get employed.
That is how "illegal aliens" find work.
" A white person with an IQ of say 90 probably has close relatives, quite likely siblings, with IQ's above 100. Such an individual may receive assistance say in filing out forms or with some other bureaucratic hassle."
-Actually that's probably not the case. If you take the issue of FireFighter exams (hardly a test of intelligence) you'll find that test taking ability rather than actual intelligence is the determining factor. A recent discrimination case in CT showed that white firefighters usually had family members who were/are firefighters and were able to help their white mates with the exams. That has nothing to do with intelligence but rather one of access. The black firefighters reported not having the same access.
Now I had large problems with the CT case for two reasons:
1) Relevant to the blog entry, the Vulcans (A black order of firefighters) failed IMHO to provide the necessary backing for their members by providing the same level of access to materials. Exactly WHAT were the vulcans (or whatever they are called) doing with their membership and dues?
2) The test they used was created by some "diversity" panel that had the silly ass idea that blacks had problems with "spatial thinking" (going off memory here). In one case a diagram of a set of buildings from a birds eye view that needed to be translated to horizontal "man on the street" view was deemed "too difficult" for African-Americans to figure out. Never mind that assuming such a skill is necessary for managing firefighting that anyone who can't do it should not be a firefighter or a manager of firefighters, anyone who's seen basketball knows full well that African-Americans can in fact translate views and angles. You can't play basketball well without doing so.
" At least a quarter of them are wholly unemployable just based on their inability to stop mangling the english language "
-Ahh no. I actually find that many white people (outside of say the law or journalism) regularly fuck up the English language.
Have to agree with you on this one. That article was a piece of garbage. Sadly coming from a "vice-dean". I read that piece with a slack jaw.
Except of course all the research shows the correlation to be spot on. But you are entitled to your opinion.
"Can you name those black-run/black-majority cities which equal or exceed similar white-run/white-majority cities in terms of economic development, civil order, and educational achievement?"
Speaking onlyunder current time frames: Absolutely not and I don't expect to given certain histories. However; There are documented cases of black run cities in the US that were burnt to the ground by angry white people. Not making excuses just pointing out that aside from ethnic conflicts among different whites, white people (in America) have never had the non-white population deprive them of liberty and property under color of law.
"Doesn't it bother you that black-majority-rule, whether in Detroit or a Zimbabwe, leads to economic decline, exploding crime, and failing schools?"
Actually it is improper to compare Detroit with Zimbabwe. That said, it absolutely DOES bother me that a Detroit (or a Newark exists. However it is improper to say that such things directly lead to economic decline.
As previously noted Africans (in the US) are the only group that were subject to blanket economic deprivation under the color of law. So even though cities such as Detroit definitely declined after "white flight" the conditions of the schools as inherited by Africans in said places were not stellar to begin with. There's much literature on this and is the basis for the Brown V Bd. Ed. decision (which I have issues with)
Zimbabwe…all I have to say is look up Zidera. After looking that up, you should note recent reports such as those in the NY Times that noted that the "land redistribution" plan has actually started to work and that the primary problem in Zimbabwe has been the economic boycotts by outside parties.
—continued in next post due to blogger limitations….
10 mm: You should use more recent statistics:
http://www.nyc.gov/html/nypd/downloads/pdf/analysis_and_planning/crime_and_enforcement_activity_jan_to_jun_2012.pdf
That said, at no point have I disputed the rank over representation of black victims and perpetrators of violent crime.
Here's the problem though: Here folks like to act as if those "95%" numbers are reflective of the entire population.
It's up there with so called feminists who try to claim that for each rapist there is a single unique perpetrator when in fact the data shows that a small minority of men (~6%) are responsible for the vast majority of rapes.
Now looking at the linked PDF from the NYPD you'll note the total population of NY at ~8 million.
In the Murder category for the time period Jan-Jun 2012, we find a total of 185 victims (all races and ethnicities). That's .002% of the total NY population.
of the 107 arrests, 55% of them were "black". that's 53 arrested black persons.
The black population in NYC according to that report is:
1,861,295
so 53 persons out of 1.8 million black people (.0029%) are, by the logic on this board the total representative of the entire group of people.
I suppose the other 1,861,242 people are just waiting for their turn to stick a gun in your face.
*shrug*
I guess numbers like .0029% and the like are not as sexy and explosive as "95%". but if it makes you feel better then by all means continue.
@ Stuff: You should thank me for doing the research for you. 🙂

"The airport and the construction team in charge of the $201.6 million terminal modernization project continue to examine the terminal and take any precautions, she said."
no word from AG Gaston and Brasfield was the only one to issue a statement.
Who is the "construction company in charge" AG or Brasfield?
"Brasfield & Gorrie representatives were there because of their knowledge of the terminal's construction, "
"The project includes complete renovation and expansion of the existing terminal (Concourses B and C) and construction of a new 19-gate Concourse A" <–From Gaston Website.
"Friday's collapse happened in the renovated terminal which includes Concourses A and B. The terminal opened March 13." <–From AL.com
This points to A.G. Gaston as the most likely company responsible

Oh Gosh! Which "anonymous" to respond to first.
*eye roll*
1) "Sondjata, I suspect the significant work (i.e. structural, architectural, electrical) went to qualified non minority companies due to their expertise in this area."
Well you can suspect whatever you like. Since this was a government funded project the contracts ought to be available to the public under FOI. So while anyone of us could "suspect" whatever we like, the statistics given by the author means it's a 69% chance that it was not "the minorities".
But the author could do the research and put the entire speculation to rest. As of now there is no proof of who did what. For all I know the "minorities" simply drove the sign to the airport and wheeled it into place.
2)"Piss off nigger, go back to reading black voices, whining about trayvon. BV"
Ohhhh ad-hominen attacks. Always informative. I wonder how long it took you to come up with that one?
3) "Cranes are complicated pieces of machinery. Through human error or negligence, accidents can occur…A sign anchored to a wall should stay put, and if it's been anchored properly, it does."
Perhaps the most intelligent response thus far. Cannot disagree with anything said here. Of course nothing said here actually shows who did the shoddy work. Right?
And then there's dissident:
"Blacks are roughly 13% of the population, yet they commit 75%-80% of the violent crime. How's that for statistical analysis and I'll let you make the logical comparisons. "
I see that someone read some FBI statistics. Very good. Here's a gold star sticker for you to take home to mommy and daddy.
Now what was I saying? Oh right! Exactly what does the above have to do with the story at hand?
Of right. Nothing.
Hey..this is called a "tangent". Please do look it up. Google is your friend.
Of course I could play the same logic in that since white people (of various ethnic groups) also commit crimes then the sign must have been posted by white people.
That's a "conditional statement". Look that up too.
Of course such an argument would be faulty so I wouldn't make it.
What about those Mob union set asides…wait..wait..can't talk about that. What was that that happened to that tunnel in Boston? Substandard parts that fell down on commuters killing at least one?
Oh right. I bet it was the "minority" owned concrete company responsible for that.
About those video games. I'll go only if you promise to play online with me and promise to call me nigger. m'kay cupcake?
*eye roll*
Sooooo… let me see if I understand the logic here:
1) Sign falls on child.
2) 31% of contracts for the airport were given to "minority" contractors.
Therefore:
Minority contractor must have been responsible for the sign falling.
Someone clearly failed logic 101.
Let's see: The video shows a set of white men in what appears to be construction uniforms lifting the sign. The only black face near the sign would be the person in the grey uniform sweeping the floor.
No, pray tell, if I went simply by what was shown in the video, it would be the FIRST assumption that a "non-minority" firm was responsible for the sign and therefore were responsible for the sign being improperly attached to the wall.
Now that would be what we call "sound" logic.
Now I could see if the author had bothered to actually look up which actual "minority firm", if any, was responsible for the sign PRIOR to posting and then made his case. I suppose that would require a bit too much work. Better to distract us with stories about race tracks and city councils.
I mean it cannot be possible that white construction firms fuck up…oh wait..those cranes that fell in NY.
Oh wait…how many near misses due to controller error at airports?
Oh wait..
*eye roll*
