You know nothing about Armenia and what was the reason for Artsakh military's terrible, tragic defeat in Sep 27,2020 war. (Republic of Armenia's military never helped their Armenian brethren in Artsakh: bet you didn't know that, did you?).

Russia has come a long way since 1990 .It is hampered by the low population density and low absolute population. Can it take people from other white nations? No country is in a position to supply . Can it attract people from Vietnam , NK , S Africa or can it offer immigration to ME Christian ? Possible . But it will still take 1 generations for linguistic and cultural integration .
Russia politically hedges it’s bet . It didn’t support China vs India over changes in status of Kashmir in 2020 . It’s support for Iran or Pakistan or Syria or Ethiopia or Venezuela is still evolving and pragmatic but also has a lot of inherent contradiction or inconsistencies.
Just like Turkey or Pakistan and India has .
These inconsistencies run against commonly expected behaviors but possibly the best these countries can do .

NATO- USA trying to get Turkey entirely back in the tent , Pakistan will be targeted for same by USA . In that development , Afghanistan will have no choice but enter US ‘s camp . These developments can seriously create problem for China and Russia . Pakistan Turkey Afghanistan and NATO- USA might decide to focus exclusively on Russia and postpone any anti Chinese activities .
Russia can preempt by cooperating in Syria and Libya and asking Turkey to cooperate in Ukraine and Afghanistan- give and take . In Syria , Turkey will be told to honor Syrian integrity and expect help with Kurd.
Qatar is another country where Russia and Turkey can work to wean it from Arab league and align more with Russia - Turkey - Iran .

Russia can force Armenia and Azerbaijan to make painful compromises with land swap and religious freedom .

Russia’s fate today is immensely tied to evolving non -European context. It has to influence it to keep its European borders safe and secure .
