If all the old and vulnerable are fully vaxxed and it's so effective why are you so invested in my choice not to get vaxxed? If the stuborn idiots are all going to do die from their exposure you should be happy.

If the anti-vax comments are representative of conservatism at large (and it seems they may well be), this guarantees that conservatism will live on only as a fringe movement, and the expansion of Wokeness will continue apace.

After all the lies we've been fed for the last 55 years how and why would a reasonableperson believe anything put out by our government via the corrupted mainstream media? Other than NOAA weather, USGS maps, aeronautic standards and highway construction, I trust nothing the federal government produces. It's all tainted by a political agenda.

" where did all these people come from?" - Good question. It is a rebellion. To what extent it is organic and grassroots and which part of it is being steered and by whom?

There are articles looking at anti-vaxxers beliefs and psychological profiles. In the US and in fact in all Five Eyes countries (in Canada in particular) the correlation (0.4-0.5) with conspiratorial thinking among the anti-vaxxers is higher than in other countries. Twice as high as in Chile (0.2).

A concern about vaccination is normal and understandable. People look at side effects and they worry. There were cases of Guillain-Barre syndrom which is serious and very rare disease form swine flu vaccine in the US and the vaccinations were stopped. More recently there were side effects from MMR vaccine in Japan and also the vaccinations were suspended.

But then there is this paranoid style of thinking about vaccines which IMO is particularly virulent in the US and Canada. One part of it is that the greedy and unscrupulous corporations want to make money disregarding our needs and rights and the other part of it is that ‘they’ want to kill us or something even worse like turn us into zombies with brains directly connected via the G5 network to Bill Gates basement.

What I am interested is to what extend the movement is being steered from the outside as a part of psychological warfare. There are clearly very capable 'operatives' within the movement and well funded 'think-tanks' that provide the talking points and often they are very challenging to the official narrative:
