There are a lot of articles given prominence on this web site that seem designed to evoke sympathy for their target. I'd say that this is one of them. Mark Steyn, Christian, is attacked for heaven knows what by this author, who seems to be writing a parody until the search for any humor comes up empty.

Other countries have spent the last eighteen years spending their money on modernizing industry, infrastructure, manufacturing, etc, while the US has wasted billions upon billions on shooting off fireworks in Afghanistan. The taxpayers have not gotten any benefit from their money. Many of those over twenty thousand wounded are in terrible shape: burn victims, blinded, paralyzed, amputees, mental breakdowns, etc. They certainly must regret the day they joined up. Of course the original story that Bin Laden was responsible for 9-11 is also suspect. He may have just been the scapegoat and also may have died early on, his later assassination being something staged. They sure buried him awfully fast, supposedly. Then of course the official 9-11 story is full of holes and obviously a fraud to anyone who'll bother to take the time to look. Everything connected to this Afghan invasion is a lie from start to finish. And that's besides the gross incompetence and stupidity on display here. All this really boggles the mind.

Something's amiss … SEA TV station KOMO's 'Seattle is Dying' says some very different things based upon a year-long investigation. They came up with 95% of the homeless in SEA being drug addicts … 

And zoning -- especially any sort of 'restrictive' zoning -- has always exacerbated the supply of housing at the city, county or state level. Now we've even got folks proposing a national rent control … as if the 80 or so years of rent control history (especially in NYC) hasn't taught them anything … or the economists haven't proven their point against it again and again and again.
