RSS“KGB finally seized power by outing (sic) Yeltsin and installing one of its brightest officers, Vladimir Putin.” Where did you get that CIA propaganda? Putin resigned from the KGB in 1991 over their coup against Gorbachev. He worked in local politics in St Petersburg for 6 years. The KGB disappeared and was replaced by the FSB. Yeltsin was not ousted by the FSB. He retired for health reasons and named Putin as his PM and successor on the advice of Boris Berezovsky, who hated the FSB because they had plotted to kill him. Previously it was Berezovsky who persuaded Yeltsin to name Putin head of the FSB for a year. Putin was an outsider there, seen as an upstart, a mere Lieutenant Colonel of the old KGB put in charge of FSB generals. The idea Putin was the FSB/KGB’s man is nonsense. He was the creature of a handful of oligarchs like Berezovsky, and turned against all of those who didn’t fall into line with his views, starting with Berezovsky. Putin’s siliviki mates were not the FSB hierarchy, but personal friends he had met at KGB school and university. The myth of Putin as the KGB’s man is just Hillary/CIA propaganda, first retailed by the professional MI6 liar Litvinenko.
