RSSPoor Avery, trapped in a prison of ignorance.
“By your logic, Nazis should have been allowed to exterminate all the Jews, right ?”
Quite the opposite. See reply to “Adolph” above.
“But to compare contributions/creations of Israeli Jews vs Palestinians living in open air prisons of Gaza and West Bank is desperate.”
See reply to Anti-Republocrat above. The “palestinians” live in conditions far better than those that Solzhenitsyn suffered under in the gulag, yet he wrote books that affected a superpower. So what have they accomplished? Faked “atrocities” and rioting? They are ethnically Egyptian, Syrian, Lebanese and Jordanian, yet their homelands won’t take them back so as to inconvenience Israel. Those are the nations to be angry with, not Israel.
“Israel borrows, copies, steals technology developed in US that costs US taxpayers 10s of billions annually.”
An unproven claim. Yet the USSR (then) and Russia (now) are well documented as having relied upon stolen technology & patents to get their economy to function at all. And, you seem enamored of the USSR…why?
“Israel tried to develop their own jet fighter, the Lavi.”
It was a homegrown F-16 clone. And the economics of the situation made it more economically feasible to simply buy F-16s customized to Israeli specifications than to build their own plane.
“The useless Iron Dome, which Israel keeps boasting about, is a copy US Patriot. “
LOL, no. Not even close. Different purpose, different environment, different targets, different engagement envelope. They are both defensive systems that use radars and missiles, but that’s as far as the similarities go. You really don’t know much about military hardware, do you?
And Iron Dome works very well in actual use. I realize that you’re angry about that and would rather have dead Israeli civilians than a working defensive system, but I am glad that you are disappointed.
“With all its economic faults, USSR’s education system was world class.”
Now that’s funny. A country based on credentialism where no one is held accountable, yet somehow their education system was “world class”? I think we define that term differently.
“How many world class Jewish intellectuals have been produced by Jewish communities residing for generations in Muslim majority countries (…Iran, Turkey, etc). “
Um, that question proves my point! Muslims are violent ignorant savages who ruin everything they come into contact with. The fact that Jews can even manage to survive in muslim nations is a testament to their discipline and work ethic.
“And, again, by your own logic: if Israel disappeared tomorrow – which I do not wish – its contributions to world economy would not even be a blip.”
What is the GDP of Israel and its neighbors? How about Israel and Europe? Israel is far more than a blip.
And, music would take a hit too: http://www.ranker.com/list/famous-conductors-from-israel/reference?page=2
It takes a lot of water to grow oranges. Yet Israel, which is a desert, is the largest exporter of oranges in the world. It takes brains to make that possible and hard work to make it happen.
Compare and contrast with the achievements of the “palestinians”…which I am still waiting to have presented to me by one of the people who are so vigorous in defending them.
Thank you for your candid expression of typical Zionist bigotry, racism and just plain ignorance.Replies: @GroundhogObserver
If every “palestinian” in the world died tomorrow, the world will have lost…nothing. No symphonies lost, no great novels lost, no world-changing inventions lost. But look at you, working yourself into a lather to defend that human detritus.
So, since Israel was drawn into existence, creating the “palestinian” problem, what exactly have the “palestinians” accomplished?
Surely you can point to something substantial, anti-republocrat? I mean, if Solzhenitsyn can write books that shake a superpower to its foundation while inside that superpower’s own gulags, the “palestinians” who are clearly not in a gulag must have created something of value to society in the last 68 years, right?
So name them.
it's apparent that by your definition there is no difference between Palestinians and Arabs in general. So if not for the unbearable conditions Israel has imposed on them, Palestinians might realistically be expected to contribute to the world as much as any other of the Arabs. Let's see, there's algebra, zero, the decimal numbering and place value system. They invented the harp, lyre, zither, drum, tambourine, flute, oboe and bagpipe. You know, there weren't a lot of symphonies written by inmates of Nazi concentration camps, either. Anne Frank's diary was written before her internment and tragic death from Typhus.
there is no such thing as a “palestinian”, merely Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese and Jordanians who were abandoned in “palestine,”
Nazi’s said the Jews were subhuman and defective.
The results of IQ testing, and the actual artistic, technological and economic achievements of Jews prove otherwise.
So, how can I be presenting Nazi propaganda themes when the facts clearly invalidate those Nazi themes?
Nice demonstration of Godwin’s Law, though. Thx for that, “Adolph”.
I have grown accustomed to seeing cleverly-shaded anti-Semitism from Giraldi. So it goes. He has a right to his opinions.
But there’s a special kind of stupidity required to not know who the “palestinians” are, where they came from, and what violent actions they have been engaged in. (Hint: there is no such thing as a “palestinian”, merely Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese and Jordanians who were abandoned in “palestine” when the map of the middle east was redrawn after WW2.) The faking of “atrocities” against “palestinians” for fawning left-wing journalists is well documented if one makes the effort of googling for them.
And since Giraldi is not stupid…his clear bias towards the “palestinians” is not a matter of ignorance but rather deliberate deception in furtherance of his anti-Israel beliefs.
Quite a telling choice of allies you have made, Giraldi. If every “palestinian” in the world died tomorrow, the world will have lost…nothing. No symphonies lost, no great novels lost, no world-changing inventions lost. But look at you, working yourself into a lather to defend that human detritus. Not that you would ever actually take in a “palestinian” as a refugee.
Contrast with Israel, who makes significant contributions to the world economy, technology and culture. But who needs any of that?
Time to move on, Phil. This particular windmill is dented up from all of your tilting at it.
