White progressives like pointing out that by nominating Biden over Sanders, the party has ensured no one is going to vote for the Democrat presidential nominee. Instead, they'll vote against Trump. Well, that ignorance is spoken from a place of privilege. It otherizes the lived experience of black bodies that have been eager to support...

I don't know how the characterization of the Ferengi got past the jewish Hollywood censors.
Ferengi are typical jews, lock stock and barrel.

Their worship of physical acquisitions, always chasing after money, looking to screw a "goy" (non-Ferengi) out of money or possessions is paramount in Ferengi culture.

It would appear that fantasy Hollywood series such as Star Trek mirrors real life.

A lot of terms Star Trek writers invented but ‘ferengi’ is a real word. It’s Ethiopian and is used to describe white foreigners. It is thought the word is a derivation of ‘Frank.’

I think it's still clear the ferengi are meant to be Jewish. Perhaps it's a play on the fact that many negative characteristics foreigners attribute to westerners actually stem from jews. For instance there is a Greek term still in use "ferengios" which basically means genuine trustworthiness. Which is what you would expect of genuine western races.

Oh really? Name a single gene that causes people to be religious or irreligious. You can't do it. Not a single study has ever identified any genes that are casuing people to be religious. Anyone can theorize endlessly that genes are responsible for x behavior (limp wristed social science), but it takes a real hardcore manly man to actually identify the genes responsible in GWAS studies. So far, there is not a single study of the latter kind. Nobody acknowledges that religous behavior is baked in to DNA.

This makes sense as less well endowed males have a disadvantage at even getting where you need to go with a fat lady. Another NPR radio program proclaimed that upwards of 83% of black females met the criteria for being obese. Of all the English words to accomplish that, why choose the one that is a Jewish surname?

Another possibility is a(n at least partial) reference to a past director, Jacob Fleck:

Austrian Jews Jacob and Luise Fleck (born 1880s, died 1950s) were a husband-and-wife team of Jewish movie director- producers active in Berlin in the Weimar Republic era. Jacob was interned at Dachau concentration camp in 1938 for 16 months, presumably for political activities, then released. In early 1940 they emigrated to Shanghai. They made lots of movies.

It's possible Jewish Hollywood people like Scott Silver (writer) and Todd Philips (director and producer) were aware of this man and the name is a partial reference.

    _____________

I still think the strongest possibility yet is that it is a reference to Kernel Fleck, one of the main characters and narrators in the book series called The Demonata [comment 174 above], in which Fleck, the protagonist, confronts demons to rescue a kidnapped child named named Art.

  • “We have all heard of Sir James Jeans assertion that a monkey, typing randomly, would eventually produce all the books in the British Museum. (Actually he would not produce a single chapter in the accepted age of the universe, but never mind.) ”

Jeans wrote about these typing monkeys (he claimed 6 of them not 1) in 1933. And Jeans claims he was quoting Huxley when he said it, so it wasn’t even Jeans’ assertion. But Jeans wasn’t right about that as Huxley never said it. It was Emile Borel, a mathematician, who originally considered that a million monkeys over the space of a year might produce the texts of the greatest libraries — he considered it and dismissed it as highly improbable. He never tied it to evolution or abiogenesis at all. So this monkey nonsense is just that. It’s an old idea that was posed and dismissed in the same argument.

That was not what Mr. Reed meant to do either. He was just writing about probablities. The monkees writing Tom Sawyer calculation really should be pretty easy, if you know the number of words in the book. It may help to have the kind of knowledge of the English language that a cryptographer would have, but that kind of precision wouldn't even be needed to get in the ball park.

I continue to be astonished that colleges like Harvard exist at all. They seem so antiquarian.

I have taught a lot of college classes in a lot of subjects. I enjoy standing in front of a captive audience and spouting off. It probably the same personality quirk that accounts for all my appearances on the stage.

It sure isn't because I ever thought it was a particularly good way to impart knowledge. How do you get knowledge? When I was first swept up in the microcomputer revolution I thought I should read technical periodicals (magazines and newsletters). I conceived the problem to be one of "keeping up". But I was wrong. Just about anything worth knowing in any field is in a book somewhere - not in a magazine.

For a while I taught Novell classes and then Microsoft. These classes led towards a series of computer administered tests for topic mastery. I had passed a lot of those tests myself but I never took an "official" or "authorized test". I just read the book.

The college I taught at had never had a single student ever pass a single Microsoft test. Yet the other teachers all had lots of official certifications too. I asked them about that. It seems none of them had had a Microsoft class either. They also had just read the book.

This sounds more like an elaborate scam than legitimate education but I believe it was the predominant experience everywhere. The people who just read the book could past the test. Those who took the classroom training aimed at those test could never get a passing score.

I eventually figured out a way to prepare students for the certification tests and for the first time in the department's history we began to have students who actually became certified.

I'm not saying that this experience is a valid guide to how to teach any subject anywhere, but it makes you wonder. I wonder why I should pay the million and a half dollars an undergraduate degree costs at Harvard. Couldn't they just hand out a reading list?

  • Arrest rates have dropped for all racial groups in California over the past decade, but African Americans are still much more likely than whites to be arrested on felony charges, the state attorney general’s office reported Friday. In 2015, blacks were 10 times as likely as whites to be arrested on robbery charges and three...
  • Two possible solutions:

    1. Arrest more whites. Since whites are a larger group than blacks its going to take a commensurate increase in white criminality. I suppose one could surmise that crime levels are already that high but that racist cops are just ‘don’ worry ’bout it’ with the white criminals. But the Nat’l Crime Victimization study doesn’t back up that assertion. I was going to say we could start arresting whites for minor offenses but then that wouldn’t help when comparing racial percentages for ‘specific’ crimes like rape, etc.

    2. Arrest fewer blacks. Well, then this is the answer they want, isn’t it? This is really their problem with law enforcement. Black people want white people to stop arresting them for committing crimes, or at least cut it back a great deal. The left and the black community is convinced that this will bring greater harmony to the streets.

There’s gotta be a good way for me to make money off of idiots like that.

Reducing the threshold for criminality is what California has done to lower the black crime rate. The threshold for felony theft was raised to $950 so the lout who snatches your purse or cell phone only committed a misdemeanor unless it was a Louis Vuitton bag. If you are a police chief or D.A. in California it would also behoove you to stay away from felony battery charges if the victim is not permanently injured by the attack.

Personally, I tend to avoid blacks, Arabs, and Israelis -- Arabs and Israelis seeming to have very similar and very disagreeable personalities.

All of this race/iq BS is a waste of time and effort. I think immigration should be stopped -- stopped absolutely -- just because America has too many people, and has had too many people for 50 years.
