RSSI’m hoping President Trump will correct course and earn the enthusiastic support of his base. Some of his prominent supporters are warning him that he must, or he will lose. I hope he will hear and heed them. If he doesn’t, I think your prediction will turn out to be correct.
I think the President has strong enough political instincts to recognize the danger of his base staying home on election day. I see signs that he is already beginning to turn the ship. But he will definitely have to make some immediate personnel changes to successfully steer to victory. His window of opportunity is closing fast.
Will I ever see an article entitled “Anti-Goyism, the Longest Hatred?”
PDJT is using his pacing tactic, which is to be followed by his leading tactic. PJDT uses this to influence non-supporters to listen to him with more openness, so he can influence them. Read about this on the Scott Adams blog.
I don’t think he intends for the red flag proposals to become law. He said he wants to tie the red flag proposals to immigration reform. He’s counting on the Democrats in Congress to refuse to pass any immigration reform he would sign. Therefore, the red flag proposals will not pass either.
He knows that his base would desert him if he does not hold the line on the 2nd amendment. When it comes to actual legislation, I think he will hold the line. But he will talk about red flag proposals while denouncing “white supremacy” in a way that will defuse the angst of the middle-left members of the public, which is a fairly large percentage that he still wants to win over. He will massage this issue carefully until enough of the public understand what’s really at stake with the 2nd amendment.
He will also use the fallout from this to continue to educate the public about the motives and tactics of the Political Left, including the Media This is another opportunity to wake up more of the somnolent electorate before 2020.
It also occurs to me that he actually wants and needs us to speak up about our fears of potential misuse of red flag laws. So let’s all speak up, to our congress-critters, to the President, to our friends. It’s really up to us to hold the line, to hold all our politicians accountable, including PJDT. Eternal vigilance doesn’t stop when someone we generally approve is in the White House.
Yes, but the subsidy should be given by their local church or other social club, not by a governmental body. The societal goal should be freedom of association for adults. This would include freedom for private organizations to promote preferred behaviors and to publicly denounce abhorrent behaviors.
