Putin is not a military general. He is a modernist leader, a trained spymaster and strategist who understands that war is a continuation of politics by other means (Clausewitz). Accordingly, if we want to grasp Putin’s motives we should refrain from trying to assess Russia’s military campaign in terms of ‘strict military objectives.’ We should...

Mr. Atzmon raises an important point: gifted people may be eschewing careers in statecraft in favor of more lucrative careers. My idea of a great statesman is John Quincy Addams. His father, the senior Addams and one term president, basically brought him up in the school of statesmanship. I believe John Quincy spent his childhood and adolescence in Europe with his father and was well versed in politics. How many people like that do we have in modern America?

Have you never heard of Chelsea Clinton or Hunter Biden?

  • From the Washington Post news section: White House wrestles with whether Russia has ‘invaded’ Ukraine Putin announced he is sending troops into Russian-backed separatist regions within Ukraine. Opinions differ on whether that is an invasion of the country. By Ashley Parker Today at 9:17 p.m. EST The White House on Monday confronted the reality that...

    LOL.

So, Putin has done even more to make our leadership look stupid. Perfect.

Since The Ukraine is essentially a part of Russia, all of this amounts to a Russian problem. Americans have nothing to do with it.

    The Brandonistas sound confused.

Better get Kamala on this pronto.

  • @SafeNow
The January 6 flamboyant carnival attire is directly analogous to the bouncy castle. The carnival attire failed to negate the idea that the group was a menace. Will a bouncy castle succeed where the carnival attire failed, or must the truckers escalate to something even more blissfully disingenuous?

    Replies: @Buck Ransom

Any day now, globohomo media will do some creative photoshopping with aerial pics to reveal that hundreds of protesters’ trucks have been carefully parked in position to form a swastika. At that point, the CBC will say Trudeau is fully justified in requesting Brandon to order a precision drone strike. So much for those bouncy castles.

  • The fatal mistake committed by Brussels in 2014 was to force Kiev to make an impossible choice between Europe and Russia. A specter haunts the collective West: total zombification, courtesy of an across-the-board 24/7 psy ops imprinting the inevitability of “Russian aggression”. Let’s pierce the fog of hysteria by asking Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov what’s...

    @Timur The Lame

The president getting a stroke leaves us with Kamala Harris?

Replies: @Timur The Lame, @Buck Ransom

Ann Barnhardt speculates that Justice Breyer was informed of his impending retirement to make way for Brandon to name Kamala as his replacement. This clears the deck for Crash Test Dummy to name the Hildebeast as his new VP (or perhaps the lovely Michelle O.) right before he is diagnosed with prostate cancer and forced into retirement.

  • The conservative French-Jewish pundit Éric Zemmour may well become France’s next president. The centerpiece of his campaign is opposition to the Great Replacement. The latter means the ongoing trend of substitution of the indigenous populations of France and Europe by non-European immigrants, in particular by Africans and Muslims. In his most recent book, Zemmour writes...
  • Do France’s strict vaccination requirements and the vax passports apply to the African and Middle Eastern portion of the population, or only to White people?

I have seen videos of many anti-vax protests throughout France since last summer, and it is hard to discern any non-White faces, if they are present at all in the crowds.

Do all the people who are in positions to enforce the mandates simply take it for granted that they are to look the other way when enforcement may inconvenience les chances pour la France? — ie, those new arrivals who represent the future of the country if Globalism gets its way.

Interesting, it seems then as though both Napoleon and Hitler had broad dreams of doing a reprise of Alexander's invasion of India, using locals met along the way as allies and auxiliaries, the latter in late 1942 via a purported gigantic pincer of Army Group South from out of the Caucuses linking up in the Middle East with Rommel's Afrika Korps coming out of Egypt. Much unlike them, though, Alexander didn't have to contend with the already existing near complete global hegemony of the British Empire, otherwise they may just have succeeded in repeating history.

...in 1969 Paul McCartney could have improvised a better melody off the top of his head the first time he was handed these lyrics.

Or Richard Rodgers could have, to use his own metaphor, peed it.

Sondheim was called on to do both words and music for Gypsy, but Ethel Merman scotched* that idea. Jule Styne did the music instead. Hammerstein told Sondheim to suck it up, and he did, praising Styne's score.

After Hammerstein died, Rodgers did his own lyrics (for a show about Hammerstein's fixation, a mixed couple), and Sondheim did Forum, with his catchiest song, "Comedy Tonight". Then the two collaborated on a forgotten show in which Sondheim rhymed intellectual, ineffectual, and homosexual to a bouncy tune. That's all I can remember of it!

...the first time he was handed these lyrics.

Usually the melody comes first, then the words. Rodgers did this with Lorenz Hart. Hammerstein, though, set his lyrics to opera tunes and handed them to Rodgers. This may be why the Hart-era songs are favored by jazzed.

Words-first is a clumsy way to work. There are a hundred ways to say something to mean the same thing, but fiddle with the notes and it's a different tune. Classical composers could do it with the Mass because they had the freedom of melisma, which was shunned by Broadway and Tin Pan Alley. (Yes, New York's standards were stricter than Europe's, at least on this. How many librettists can you name, anyway?)

*Fun fact: Merman, Hammerstein, Donald Trump, and Jay Leno all had Scottish mothers.

Which is probably very true. If you've ever had garbage pile up for a few days or walked into a hording situation or gone to a local dump you might have some knowledge of how much our modern world has separated us from the smells of uncleanliness. Perhaps there is an Ingredient X in the first jabs that will merge with Ingredient Y in the first booster or Ingredient Z in the second booster. Although the introductory shot was sufficient to finish off a fair number of people, the time-release lethality will become more pronounced with every new shot. Naturally, media censorship and control will intensify, and plausible deniability will be maintained at every step.

I don't think that the vaccines will cause "mass death" (although they will kill quite a few people unnecessarily, and that's already a crime), or maybe I just don't want to have too dark thoughts.

Sometimes I think both sides of the discourse are poisoned (on purpose?), with lots of exaggerations or unproven accusations.

But in the end, at least to me, it boils down to this:

Do you want to live in a world where people are considered "walking bioweapons" until proof in contrary?

Do you want to live in a world where you have to constantly prove that you are not sick (even though having no symptoms whatsoever) or that you took whatever experimental drug the authorities say, in order to go anywhere or even buy food?

Because this is where this is going (already a reality in some countries).

By the way, having taken the vaccine doesn't even prove that you're not a "virus carrier", so the "vaccine passports" are useless as a health measure - but that's not the point, as the "virus" is just the excuse, what they want is for you to take the vaccine, independently of their effects. It's really more like branding.

The vaccine could be poison or could be a placebo or saline. It's there to mark you and track you. The Mark of the Beast, if you will. But I don't want to live in a world where you have to prove that you're not a "virus carrier" in any interaction, nor being forced to take any kind of experimental concoctions that the authorities say is "safe and effective"...

(By the way - Gee, the manufacturers who produce it and the governments who mandate it declare it "safe and effective"... I guess I should believe them, then, right? LOL)

TLDR: It goes beyond this particular vaxx and its side effects. It's about a new paradigm of living, that they want to change, and make our "new reality", where you're basically a slave of the State and and Big Corps and do as you're told, because they know better.

This is a major weakness in most people's (lack of) preparations. Also inadequate current infomation about optimal prophylaxis is a big risk.

Prophylaxis for wild type, alpha, beta is not adequate for Delta+ variants if you have multiple comorbidities. e.g. IVM once per week or two vs twice a week, more vitamin D etc.

This was the plan all along as the riots and the George Floyd protests were largely elite approved and coordinated political theatre to enact regime change and speedwalk the national revolution.

Some of us were commenting on the orchestrated nature of the staged revolution at the time. Compare and contrast how the George Floyd riots are being prosecuted to the January 6th riot at the Capitol. And yes, both the implementation and political reaction to the January 6th riot were planned in advance in order to maximize their propaganda value and long term undermining of The Republic.

    Replies: @Houston 1992, @That Would Be Telling, @Houston 1992, @Houston 1992

Yes, all the major players rely upon far flung supply chains for chemicals , tools, design software. The market has consolidated to just a few major players who can make leading edge tech. These suppliers make their products in Europe, USA, Japan even some in Israel. No country is self sufficient.

Litho is the most extreme example with ASML far ahead of Nikon who are far ahead Canon. But the semi industry relies upon single suppliers for many steps such as Japanese photo resist, Japanese wafers for DRAM and perhaps other devices.

It would be foolish of China to invade Taiwan because the US /Japan would cut off supplies from ASML, AMAT etc as well as chemical supplies. Their captured TSMC fabs would be worth nothing and the Chinese know that. Far better to have IP leak into China from Taiwan and have their brighter youth earn PhD in STEM at US universities. An invasion would end these IP transfers.

I think the Apple BoD will order TSMC and Foxxconn to build factories in USA or Europe. Apple has to be worried about supply disruptions. TSMC would prefer not to build in the West, but there is free fiat \$ avail to get a free fab, so get it while the freebies are avail. Plus , Apple could threaten to enter the semi business e.g. buy Intel and Micron and fix the supply chain problem themselves by insourcing, Apple has the cash and enough ruthlessness to do that. So TSMC will build stateside imo

Apple insourcing example: the new M1 chip is designed in Apple although made in TSMC. If TSMC does not cooperate then Apple could buy out Intel, fix its issues with or without Federal handouts, and make the processor chip in its new semi division and TSMC would lose that order

It is Asia, not the United States, whose economies depend more on the manufacture of high tech gizmos with microchips. A microchip shortage is going to hurt Asian economies far more so than the West. The West would love nothing more than the complete collapse of the microchip industry and the strategic nightmare it represents. Once the microchip industry dies, Asia is impoverished and purposeless, the saber rattling over Taiwan ends, and the videogame/cellphone industries, long responsible for a host of physical and mental ailments among young people, collapse. You might even want to investigate whether or not the USA is actively trying to kill the microchip industry, as it would have made a more convincing story.

Yes, giving a child a diminutive or nickname instead of a real name is something I find annoying in any case, but it's remarkable that Harry and Meghan did this -- twice.

I get the impression giving kids diminutives/nicknames is more common in the USA than the UK, although I'm not sure. I think quite a few Americans don't quite grasp what they're doing when they choose these aberrations. In any case, if this is true, then H+M are quite aggressively asserting the American identity of their kids, i.e. claiming them for Meghan's side.

'Archie' was bad enough for its casual vulgarity, but appropriating the Queen's mispronunciation of her own name is almost diabolical in its cleverness and cunning. It's at once an 'honoring' of the Queen -- and also a sly deprecation and even insult.

Meghan is a real piece of work. Notice that her name is never reduced to a nickname or diminutive.

However, Occam’s Razor suggests that of all the theories suggested, yours is most likely to be true. Everything else could boil down to statistical noise. The average age of the person who dies from COVID is 80? Statistical noise. There are no excess deaths in 2020 over 2019? That is just as you would expect.

A lot of things that otherwise seemed very mysterious, now just seem to fall into place when viewed from the perspective you present. Dr. Mike Yeadon, a noted immunologist, said that none of the labs he contacted had a sample of the virus and none knew where such a sample could be obtained. (Obviously, you need a sample of a virus to create a test for it or to create a vaccine against it.) What could explain this mystery? Perhaps the “Virus of Unspecified Origin” does not exist! Ha, ha! So simple!

Thank you for all the work that you do. Please keep writing. The greatest gift that anyone can give another is the truth.

Along similar lines, I have thought that the real reason for the MSM's about-face on the lab leak scenario was not the article by Nicholas Wade, but was in fact the May 10 article by Mr Unz himself which presented a more plausible but nevertheless shocking theory for the origin of COVID.

When the MSM starts to endorse a theory, it is time seriously to consider the opposite. What better way to deflect from an indictment of the US bioweapons program than to eat crow and "admit" that the conspiracy theorists blaming the Wuhan lab were right all along?

    Replies: @Erebus, @Sollipsist, @Ron Unz, @James J O'Meara, @Tom Welsh, @Buck Ransom, @GomezAdddams

David Icke has a different angle. He says there is no virus. Not a strange, deadly new virus called SARS-Cov-2, at any rate. In his view, what we have here is a brilliantly executed psyop to terrify the world, justify the lockdowns, and launch the real bioweapon — and that would be the vaccine(s).

So this new tack by the political class and the MSM is simply a calculated move to keep the plebs focused on the deadly imaginary virus. It’s fine for their purposes if the unwashed masses think Corona-Chan came from a bat in a bowl of soup or is the work of sinister researchers in the Wuhan lab. The crucial thing is to keep the world distracted debating the origins of the deadly virus and not to poke around too much regarding the nature of the vaccines. Their goal is to get that injected into as many bodies as possible before people figure out what’s happening.

I’ve been saying this over and over but I flat out call them psychopaths because that is their behavior.

    1. I can’t say that I know all Jews are psychopaths but I submit that a bunch of Jews moving into your territory can in no way be distinguished from a tribe of psychopaths moving into your territory. Whether the Jews are mostly psychopaths or not is irrelevant. The end effect on the country is the same as if they were. They are always involved in grandiose conspiracies, manipulation of people and comport themselves exactly like psychopaths.

    2. No one can live with psychopaths for long. Eventually people get fed up and try get rid of them in any manner they can.

The only sure fire way to deal with psychopaths is to get rid of them and not allow them any say in your life at all. In all cases I’ve read about, getting rid of the Jews and kicking them out of your country has seen an immediate improvement in the welfare of the general population.

    3. The more power the Jews have the more ruthless they are. If they get the power to do so they will murder every single one of us. Every time they have gotten the power to do so they have immediately started torturing and murdering people as fast as they could. This track record is thousands of years long and can be counted on.

This is important to realize because once you really understand this then predicting what they will do and how they will act becomes much easier.

Being psychopathic has worked for well for them embedded in societies that are more civilized but in every society they go to there’s a limit. They can lie so well because they do not have empathy and have none of the shame response to be telling lies that normal people have. There’s a limit though in all the societies they parasite on.

The normal people at first believe their tall tales of their persecution. A favorite psychopath trick. They may even excuse their behavior for a while but eventually they will ask themselves,”why will these people not reform themselves, why will they not behave in a decent manner”. Eventually they realize that they will never act in a manner of civilized humans and their compassion turns to rage at their constant hatred the Jews show all those they live among and their constant lies and corruption.

The high point of the Jews has already been reached. The age of mass market communication is coming to an end and many are realizing that they are fed nothing but lies, confusion and gas-lighting. A great many of them have not yet seen that the Jews are the biggest player pushing this but a great many have. They are not happy.

Many Jews know of this behavioral pattern. Maybe some do not but I wouldn’t care to bet money on it being a great deal of them. Theodor Herzl certainly knew about this. His fear was exposure to the Jews eventually would cause the extermination of the whole lot of them if they did not quit negative interactions with normal people.

The actions and outcomes we see in Israel are a symptom of this Spath mind set in the Jews. Spaths have this problem that they have very little fear response and they have a very super overblown idea that they can continuously out talk, manipulate and out do anyone else. This gets them in trouble because with this attitude they are always pushing everything to the limit with no concern for blow back. We’re seeing the beginning of this right now.

A big Jew committee met to see where they could go after they totally ruined the US and while I don’t know the outcome it was almost surely China. Unfortunately for them after they took a vast amount of the manufacturing from the US, stole many if not all our military secrets and sold them to the Chinese they finally found out that not everyone was like the, “let’s just get along Whites”. The Chinese let them know in no uncertain terms that they were not going to ruin China like they have western societies.

So now they have no where to go. They’ve dramatically hurt the US maybe even fatally and in Israel proper their aggressive psychopathic behavior has made such enemies that I don’t think even if the Jews did anything asked of them they could never square the hatred they have fostered in the people around them.

Some are even now trying to backtrack and slow down the immigration and destruction of the US. I think they see what I see as it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the writing on the wall but I think things have gone to far for them to cover it up. 9-11 at the very least will never be forgotten.

For all of you wondering what we should do the only thing that ever works with psychopaths is to get rid of them. Move them away from you. Let them have no say at a all in your lives or your country.

The scale of the deception is too large for even those who consider themselves "in the know" to accept or comprehend.

Covid™ is not an epidemiological event it is a business model, a manufactured event meant to increase the portfolio’s of the super wealthy.

It is vitally important to understand that public health policy has been harnessed to global markets. Instead of serving those at risk of sickness and death, these policies of financialization are constructed to benefit investors.

Manufactured pandemics create new investment products that increase the holdings of billionaires and further concentrate their wealth.

The WHO, CDC, NHS etc are merely conduits for these investors who channel their investments through the likes of the Gates Foundations e.g. The return on these investments is staggering.

This is not going away unless and until we make it go away. All of the politicians that are “deciding” these things are spokespeople for these investors.

Global public health (and education) has become a plaything of financiers.

There was no epidemiological event. There was a severe 6 week spike caused by human actions- specifically health agencies (you can hardly call them that) and specific politicians who through policies took the elderly and other vulnerable folk and locked them into understaffed and/or partly abandoned and poorly ventilated nursing homes guaranteeing mass death in a concentrated time frame. Those were/are crimes and should be investigated and prosecuted as such.

The majority (probably all) of the elderly people weren’t even dying of the virus but it’s being chalked off as a “Covid” death to keep the Covid death count high, the fear mongering going and the $$$ coming in. These are old people with a wide variety of multiple serious medical conditions. They are (were) on multiple toxic medical drugs that cause serious adverse reactions. Many were in and out of the ER & urgent care departments well before the arrival of this “new” (manufactured) virus. They were dying from pneumonia, COPD, cancers, cardiovascular diseases, adverse reactions to toxic medical drugs, etc. and some number of them died from complications of being put on a ventilator and other assorted iatrogenic deaths.

Agree with your comment but in my opinion it’s not just about money. It’s about the ideology of yes “fevered imaginations” – the “Great Reset” – via destruction of normality, and then “Build Back Better”, it’s about depopulation/genocidal intent, and my hunch is it’s also somewhat about satanic desperation, feeling increasingly threatened, in that power based on evil could observe a global general awakening/trend – a growing awareness of and understanding of that evil.

In late September of 2001, when I was still very much a normie patriot, I sent a resume and brilliant cover letter to the (((CIA))) and (((FBI))). My resume was even more impressive then, for a person my age at the time. (I have a lot more experience and knowledge now, of course, but back then my resume was perfect for a 26-year-old.)

Got no response. Of course. They didn’t want white men then either. I would have worked hard every day–as I have done for my clients my entire career–actually trying to protect my country. Sorry to be arrogant, but I’ve been 95th percentile in everything I do since elementary school, both in academics and athletics, and I am exactly what the (((CIA))) or (((FBI))) would want if they hired purely based on merit and were actually healthy agencies with the desire to help the good people of the United States.

But the problem is- no one did anything. The A&E firm did not speak up and say: Why aren't you prepared? Why can't you speak English? Why is there biscuit grease on these blue prints?

  • There is not now and never has been an actual “pandemic”- that is all Kabuki theater to disguise the reality of the rapid economic decline which was unfolding in 2019 brought on by the Ponzi Schemes of financial institutions over the past few decades.

What we are in the midst of is a planned total economic collapse in the Western world.

The global economy was facing the worst collapse since the second world war well before the height of the “Covid Crisis.”

This economic collapse was inevitable, Western governments are putting the security infrastructure into place, trying to proactively control the inevitable social disorder which will result from this collapse. To be followed by a global financial reset, after a period of hyperinflation, which destroys both the value of debt and the corresponding paper claims.

Our dear “rulers” know that they have run up massive unpayable debts and deficits. They know the promises of pensions and benefits cannot be paid. They know the system will collapse and the people will revolt. They must act to subvert the inevitable to protect their wealth and maintain control.

The result will be global hyperinflation to vaporize the assets of the masses and the states- as soon as the ruling class mops up the last properties. What this means is the ruling class will have limitless claims on everything in the world- this is what they mean when they say, “You will own nothing.”

These governments know full well that “Covid” is being used as cover for this crashing of the economies in the Western world.

Covid is simply the smokescreen for this collapse. Covid has offered the opportunity to freeze the USA’s banking collapse with massive injections of cash. Covid is also a cover and an excuse for a vicious trade war with China and the gaslighting of the peoples of western ‘democracies’ into accepting semi-fascist government- The New Normal.

You need to learn the word morbidity. "No one" is also very wrong when immediate, 30 day mortality is strongly age and comorbidity stratified, that "99% survival rate" which is very possibly a percent too high per the paper referenced in the link does not apply to older people like myself. When you consider excess all cause mortality (vs. less reliable Officially COVID-19 scored), using American figures your claim of no one needs a vaccine wouldn't seem to apply to the over 600K already killed by the disease, and again see morbidity.

    Replies: @Sick of Orcs, @Kratoklastes

While the figures are prone to change, the consensus I’ve seen is the survival rate is 99% for every age group but drops to 94% for those over 80.

I do sympathize with those particularly vulnerable, but those the most susceptible to covid are also in enhanced danger of dying from falls, strokes, heart attacks, cancers and the regular flu, which apparently no longer exists.

While every death is tragic for a patient’s friends, family and community, 600,000 or even one million deaths out of a population of 330 million is infinitesimal and does not justify shutting down the country. (People casually refer to ‘lockdowns’ now, either not knowing or caring it’s a prison term.)

The response to this fake pandemic was so overblown not even 100 million deaths worldwide (out of 7 billion) can make up for all the damage, waste and ill-gotten gains for tyrants in various forms, including the deliberately sabotaged American economy and stolen election, for which evidence is mounting.

Had (((fake news))) not terrorized the public, NO ONE would have known covid existed, other than people in high-risk categories, medical personnel and nursing home staffs.

I've never seen such figures, let alone a "consensus" (which is an illegitimate word in science, see global cooling, oops global warming, ah ha, you can't falsify climate change!). Risks rise sharply starting with cohorts starting at 65 years of age, hence everyone of that age being in a priority group, and continue rising through 80 to 85+ years of age. See for example the can't be trusted much CDC who might get something this simple correct (they have at least updated their figures to Feb 18th), or perhaps this source which I can't comment on the accuracy of, or cite your own.

    You previously said:

No one needs a vaccine for chink sniffles with a 99% survival rate.

Which was frankly trolling. Now you say:

While every death is tragic for a patient’s friends, family and community, 600,000 or even one million deaths out of a population of 330 million is infinitesimal and does not justify shutting down the country.

Which is if anything worse, without vaccines we'd be on track to way exceed the 1918-9 flu pandemic. And then you bring in the gravamen of your objections to "this fake pandemic", lockdowns which are not part of any point I've ever been making. I might in theory be glad COVID-19 mortality or morbidity hasn't touched you or any of your loved ones, but this "fake pandemic" is still young and that could well change.

Had (((fake news))) not terrorized the public, NO ONE would have known covid existed, other than people in high-risk categories, medical personnel and nursing home staffs.

I take it you aren't aware of what's happening in India right now? How their failure to keep the curve bent has exceeded their admittedly modest hospital capacity, and now people are dying at much higher rates from COVID-19 and anything else for which you might need a hospital? Even with our "lockdowns" and other non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) we reached those levels in NYC and were right at that point and a bit beyond in a number of other locations.

The excessive promotion of these vaccines is now crossing lines into Salem witch trial territory for those refusing them, another indicator the ever-prospering wicked have sinister motives.

Or, just perhaps, failure to achieve herd immunity is going to get a lot more people you don't care about killed or maimed? Your claim this has reached "Salem witch trial territory" is ludicrous on its face, I think you're going to run out of metaphors long before actual measures get put in place once the two existing mRNA vaccines get full FDA licensure.

The point of the fence/mask simile is that the virus is so minute, from its POV the openings in the weave of the mask are as easily negotiated as the openings in the fence would be for the mosquitoes.

You're laboring under misconceptions about the size of the virus compared to the width of the the cotton fiber and cotton threads in the fabric, and the relatively small size of any passages through them, if any. The fibers are twisted into thread, so the virus would have to engage in acrobatics to find a way through.

Obviously you didn't read my previous comment under Dr. Thompson's article, or you didn't understand what I wrote.

    https://d1l2kcmc130e06.cloudfront.net/blog/images/content/tw/100-cotton-cotton-thread-sem-uwbl.jpg

"Each thread is comprised of a tight bundle of cotton fibers that are themselves about 20 microns (μm) across, resulting in thread that is about 250 μm in diameter in this case.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is said to range from about 40 to about 200 nanometers (nm), or 0.04 μm to 0.2 μm, with an average around 120 nm.

Usually, the virus will not be traveling alone, but rather will have hitched a ride on a much larger droplet, or blob of moisture expelled from the lungs by a cough, sneeze, laugh, and possibly even regular singing or talking.

The bigger the droplet, the heavier the potential viral load, and fortunately, the better chance the mask will have to entrap the invader by ensnaring it on one of the myriad cotton fibers, so the potentially most dangerous big blobs are also the most likely to get blocked by a cotton mask, especially one with three layers.

Finally, for those reputed aerosol riding viral particles and the tiny virus itself, I’ll leave it to the reader’s imagination to assess the chances of any average SARS-CoV-2 100 nanometer virus making it through the dense forest of obstacles presented by three layers of the kind of cotton fabrics pictured here, where each of the individual cotton fibers is 100x broader than the virus – 20 μm vs. 0.2 μm – and they are wound into a tight bundle making a ~250 μm thread leaving little apparent avenue for anything to pass through its structure.

Remember, the cotton fibers and thread in the stockinette knit are not only dense, and broad, but also very thick compared to the virus, which is swirling around in so-called Brownian motion, and not moving in a straight line as most imagine.

    @Buck Ransom

I think the reason is that two masks cover more of the gaps and make a better seal around the edges, across the bridge of the nose and under the eyes. At least, that's the case with the two masks I now wear, where the outer mask is bigger, of a different design and materials, and overlaps the inner mask. I suppose three masks would be able to follow the contours of the face, and cover gaps even better than two.

The outer mask is bigger, fits over, and has a different construction than the inner mask, and in my fancy, at least, each has a slightly different task.

Polyester and cotton-poly are hydrophobic - they tend to repel and wick away moisture, so this outer mask can be thought of as a water repellent shell. It will try to keep those invaders from the wrong side of the tracks from getting past or through it.

Cotton, by contrast, is highly absorbent, or hydrophilic and just loves to soak up your sweat and any moisture in the area and keep it, so it has a good chance of snagging most droplets and aerosols, inbound or outbound either one.

Please stop comparing masks to paper bags.

It was bombercommand who brought up the issue of paper bags. I reserve the right to point out the flaws in his argument. The gas CO₂ passes easily through cloth but not through reasonably airtight containers, including the humble paper bag.

Get back to me when you can inflate your sock.

Your problem Alfred is you seize upon every Internet rumor that comes along while ignoring abundant real world experience, where uncountable numbers of surgeons, dentists and their assistants wear masks for long periods of time with no known adverse health effects. Workers in other fields with poor air quality due to smoke, dust, or other airborne contaminants also wear masks for long periods as a matter of routine.

I'd think the medical community would be the first to squawk about it and raise the alarm if there were any real danger from masks and/or CO₂. Instead, every reputable medical source I can find discounts this Internet rumor, and well they should. See below for a sample.

And of course a large part of the world has been wearing masks over the past year or so, and I'm not aware of any rising tide of CO₂ poisoning during that time.

And by the way, the levels of CO₂ on USN submarines average 3,500 ppm, and range up to ~11,300 ppm, according to some open source data.

I think I will take the word of established medical science, see below, and not the unverifiable claims of some shrill dude on the Internet. Can you verify that his equipment was accurate? What kind of mask was the kid wearing? His face was turning red like he was holding his breath.

The Mayo Clinic video with the scumbag that looks like Jeffrey Epstein is particularly dishonest, they measure the CO2 of the exhaled breath and try to conflate it with the CO2 level between the mask and the person’s face. USN submarines are not safe and healthy places, but have a CO2 level one third that of the environment between the mask and the face, you should have avoided bringing that up. Weasel words and sales talk, your lies are obvious. You are still avoiding the issue of the warm wet bacteria hatchery of the inside of the mask, continually rebreathed. You are still avoiding “Mask Mouth”: bleeding gums, gum disease when there should be none, tooth cavities in people who have never had cavities, all from wearing masks. Weasel words and sales talk.

But the more sensible among them cannot be thrilled about breathing in their own CO2 all day long for over a year now.

    Ha ha. That's almost funny.

But of course you are free to explain for us how a mask stops CO₂, which is a gas.

Now it's early here, and I'm still on my first cup of coffee. I have merely skimmed some of the comments and CJ's article. Buck Ransom's comment was #29, and the article is up to 115 comments now as I write this, but none of the scientific geniuses holding forth here has recognized Buck's fundamental error, nor stepped forward to correct it.

Yeah, it's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it.

I'm another of those 74-year old guys posting here today, and I do wear a mask, two actually, when I go shopping, and also disposable gloves.

It's a PITA, but not a major one, and better safe than sorry.

One of the doctors whose videos I’ve watched online has this to say on the subject of the face diapers: “Wearing a mask to keep out CV is like building a hurricane fence around your back yard to keep out mosquitoes.”

But since you are wearing two masks, just like the sainted and theatrical Dr. Faustus, I mean Fauci, your technique is probably twice as effective.

When people ask if you got the jab just lie and say you did. They'll never know.

Besides, everyone will still be wearing masks as they nervously walk about, afraid of every person they cross paths with as if they have the Ebola virus.

I live in a state full of absolute idiots. They wear masks while walking alone down country roads.

Girls are the worst. Their whole schtick nowadays is to appear a radical yet be the biggest conformist ever.

I’ve never been asked if I’d had the jab (I live in Australia and only around 5% of Aussies have had the jab so far).
No doubt that % will rise in the coming months as government campaigns and threats (no jab may entail no international travel, deprivation of certain liberties etc), increase that figure.
But Aussies have a pretty good B.S detector and I’m fairly certain that we will have a much lower percentage vaccinated than the U.S / U.K and other slavishly compliant populations.

In any case, if I were asked, I would absolutely reply (and raise my voice in the process so that everyone in the vicinity was aware), that I WILL NEVER TAKE THE TOXIC COVID VACCINE.

And, if I got some pushback, I would go out of my way to drop names of the world’s leading infectious epidemiologists who are calling B.S on the Covid hoax (think Great Barrington Declaration for starters) and how their opinions are being muzzled by the cabal that owns all the politicians / Big Pharma / the corrupt MSM etc.

You see ‘Anonymous’, when you lie and say you got the jab, you are GIVING IN to this hoax.

If every person that asks if you’ve gotten the jab (possibly because they’re vacillating over whether to get it themselves or not), if all they hear is responses in the affirmative, then ‘herd animals’ that they are who seek consensus before making any decision because they’re TOO STUPID TO WORK THINGS OUT ON THEIR OWN, they too will opt for the jab – so as not to be a social outcast.

‘Anonymous’, why don’t you show some guts and stop being a girlie man ?

If we all came out and forcefully told the world we will never take the jab, that will inspire others to do likewise and, when a critical threshold of us have done so (and forcefully said we will never wear a mask AND that we’re done with lockdowns/curfews and Socialist Distancing), then we will have won.
The tyrannical Covid-cabal will back down.

THEN, upwards and onwards from there.

Next step is Ending the Fed and removing the chief source of funding for the Zionist Dominated Usury Banking Cartel that controls the financial system of the western world.

Tucker Carlson or some other news show should post the daily and annual killed and wounded rates similarly to how the news networks posted the body count during the Vietnam War. Just a 10 second metric at the end showing the absolute numbers as well as the breakdown by race including the interracial murder rates and the numbers killed by police. Throw in AR-15s, pistols, and knives and it would be revolutionary.

The events unfolded as follows. Russia crumbled under the US pressure. Begged US ambassador to go home and ask US for clemency. The US sanctions whip did the job. Mr. Putin folded and caved in. Forces withdrawn from the Ukraine border. Mr. Escobar’s (and others) fantasies of Kiev invasion popped and disappeared into the valley of reality. America, despite the propaganda of the adversaries, is still the “Shere Khan” in a world full of jackals. China will soon follow and switch to lamb mode from wolf warrior status. I tell people that in spite of the fact that my age puts me in a higher risk group, I, like the stalwarts on the sinking Titanic, shall wait until all others have received their vaccinations first before I take up a place in the lifeboat. "Let the (metaphorical) women and children go first", I say, while I, nobly, shall bear the risk of giving my life in upholding the standards of higher civilization. "There are still not enough vaccinations to go around. Only when all others have been vaccinated will I do so. I am old. I have not much yet to live for while they have their whole lives before them".

Another angle comes to us courtesy of St. Greta, who scorns citizens of Western countries as promoters of “vaccine nationalism.” It is Ms. Thunberg’s thesis that we are hoarding the vaccines for ourselves and being very niggardly with the doses shipped off to the Third World.

This presents a perfect opportunity for Woke virtue-signaling, if that is to anyone’s taste. You can say you plan to forego receiving the jab until everyone in Burkina Faso, Burundi and Guatemala has had their health properly secured.
