I know a secret: flying really isn’t that difficult. I flew a pattern circuit and landed the B767 simulator when the total of my experience was 50 hours in the Cessna 172. The real-deal simulator at Boeing Flightsafety, not the Microsoft desktop version.

The point is it’s unlikely but not impossible. If I’d spent 8 hours in the thing I may have crashed it on every other attempt. But in the 10 minutes I was lucky to spend at the controls of that sim, I did it.

Should we let ourselves believe there was any artful way to navigate the Khan trap, in the face of “the second amendment people, maybe….i don’t know” being spun into “he’s dog-whistling he wants someone to get Hillary”?

There really is a mass hysteria on right now and it’s incredible. The left completely lost its mind during the GWB administration and it’s doubling down on it’s lunacy in the face of a potential Trump administration, such that Bush Derangement Syndrome is starting to look tame in comparison. There’s talk of people getting physically ill over it. The media is solely to blame for this.

I don’t need to like my president. I don’t need him to like me. I don’t need him to be a Rhodes scholar. I don’t need him to be a veteran. I don’t need him to be “presidential,” whatever the hell that means. I don’t need him to sympathize with the plight of women and minorities.

I need him to be effective. I need him to represent my interests. I need to know that he will put my American children over those of people living in other countries. He can do that and still be a boorish asshole who sticks his foot in his mouth from time to time and comes down hard on people who flip him shit, even if they think they’re above reproach because they’re “Gold Star parents.”

Let women fret over manners. Our future is at stake.

Why is it so hard for them to speak out? Because they’re cowards and hypocrites, that’s why. “Ours is not to question why….” The mother of all cop-outs. Gotta get that pension first, then they suddenly become minarchists, libertarians, America Firsters. They don’t give the money back though.

Why have they never, not one time that comes to memory, refused orders to deploy against the American people, from the Whiskey Rebellion to Waco? MacArthur, Eisenhower and Patton were all present in 1932 when the Bonus Army was swept before a cavalry charge and infantry with bayonets fixed. Women and children were present. What heroes.

Who do all the 2A people who love the military but hate the government think it is they’ll be fighting when the time comes to refresh the tree of liberty?

The military cult is a cornerstone of cuckservativism and a horrible thing for America. Those who serve are not beyond reproach and should be called to account more often for the role they play as tools of the globo-corporatist empire.
