RSSArticles like this make it so difficult to be an intelligent, conscious American. To be forced to watch as your country becomes more and more in thrall to such a despicable tribe of psychos.
It's backasswards that intelligent and conscious Americans are not only reviled by psychopaths, lap dogs, water carriers and useful idiots beholden to imperial and Zionist ideologies but also by ordinary American citizens who, often unwittingly, let propagandists and "journalists" shape their thinking about politics in general and the United States' relationship with Israel in particular.

I believe you underestimated the main reason Independents voted for Trump. Militant Marxists taking over the MSM, and the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. If anything the attacks on Trump and ‘anybody but Hillary’ voters have gotten more and more pointed and aggressive. Do those voters care about Iran? No. Not to any significant degree when confronted by aggressive enemies of what remains of their culture right here in the US trying to take over the House in order to impeach Trump and to criminalize free speech (when it doesn’t favor their agendas). No ‘blue wave’ will materialize IMO. But even if it does, it’s going to get squashed by more of the same that it experienced in 2016. Can’t wait to watch them blame the Russians again while the wheels fall off of their little red wagons carrying their dreams of the fourth coming of Hillary.
Sounds to me like the judge cut the prosecutors off at the knees. Any statement made by a criminal defendant (in this case Thomas), especially re: the crime for which he was prosecuted is an ‘admission’ under any legal rubric in the country. Not, the ‘inadmissible hearsay’ that the judge ruled it was.
You can't ask Person A what Person B told them Person C did.

A realistic feasibility study is the last thing Jerry Brown wants. My guess is that this boondoggle was created and sold to the gullible public for the main purpose of feathering the nest of Diane Feinstein, who’s billionaire husband/Richard Blum is the primary contractor for the bullet train for money laundering purposes. https://calwatchdog.com/2013/04/26/se-diane-feinsteins-husband-wins-ca-rail-contract/
PCR nails it again. Thank you for cutting through the BS (that sane Americans are being deliberately drowned in) once again PCR.
Good article with valid reminders of fact, coming from an interesting (but accurate) perspective. The comments are in fact the most entertaining aspect of it’s publication. They make it pretty clear that some mass psychosis or cloud of idiot gas has enveloped a substantial percentage of Americans who get ‘triggered’ by the most inane things.
Very well written synopsis of the current situation, and how Russia came to be in this place at this time. I appreciate the recap of the history from Yeltsin moving forward.
One thing a still firmly in control DNC ‘gets’ is that they’ll need to pander more to identity politics to have a chance at winning the mid-terms let alone the 2020 general election. So Buchanan is right in that regard. What he fails to mention though is that they only got half the memo. Sure, an actual progressive (Bernie) could win them the WH ultimately in 2020 but that’s the ‘bridge too far’ for their deeply Clinton co-opted organization. They don’t want to ‘get’ the fact that skin color alone doesn’t necessarily equal progressive as far as intelligent progressives and independent voters are concerned. So they’ll run Biden and Harris in 2020, and maybe even con Bernie into stumping for those two, again. But Harris’s record in California (letting Steve Mnuchin skate out from underneath hundreds of well-documented fraud charges while bucking her own DOJ to do so) and obvious lack of experience in anything other than being bi-racial will catch up to her and puts her firmly in the category of being an empty neoliberal suit with only skin color to recommend her. And using Biden as the ‘steady hand’ to keep her potentially ‘in line’ is an obvious non-starter just because of who he is, and the slimy stuff he’s done and how he acts around children. Nope, they still don’t ‘get it’ (that an actual progressive is what could get them a win) because they’re still unwilling to pay the price (loss of establishment control). The independents hate transparently insincere half-measures (Biden/Harris) and there’s nothing inspirational or magic about Harris, so forget a massive turnout like what Obama experienced. The Dems also don’t get that they’ve already used up the race card with Obama’s two terms. So barring any monumental screw-ups by Trump in the interim I’m betting we’ll continue to see the grotesquely slow death of the Democratic Party with a few dying canaries (in the DNC coal mine) along the way like the Ocasio-Cortez’s win in NY.
One need only look at Germany today to see the benefits of losing all of a country’s alpha DNA in one throw.
The problem with revisionism is that it’s often completely wrong but there’s nobody around who actually remembers in order to call it what it is. First, the theory that we lost in Vietnam because our troops were stupid. False. Remember that thing called ‘the draft’? No discrimination there. In fact, the US military then was immeasurably more intelligent than our ‘all volunteer’ military today because there were no selective factors in play such as the vast wealth disparity leaving most of America in economic distress with few good employment opportunities (where the majority of our current enlisteds come from). Obviously if you use a method of obtaining recruits which snares kids from upper and middle-class families to the same extent as lower-class kids (the draft) you’re going to end up with not only a more intelligent average recruit but also healthier. Also adding to that distinction is the fact that the middle-class in America comprised a larger percentage of the population than it does today. Today’s military officer may be smarter due to the limited decent job opportunities coming out of college today than there were in the 60s and early 70s. But that’s a tiny percentage compared to the myriads of grunts and support personnel, who now mostly hail from the lower-classes and the relatively educationally-impoverished public education system available to them today.
You might want to look up "college deferment."

Any data to support that, or are you just emoting?

See graph above.

You vouche for LeMay’s opinion as to the cause of America’s defeat. But that’s only your opinion as well. There are plenty of people who will tell you that the actual cause was a gross underestimation of the fierce determination of the NVA to protect their homeland.
Meh. One more neocon tool/icon, who was famous for aiding and abetting the military adventures of America (on behalf of Israel), and was was wrong on almost everything else for the last fifteen years kicks the bucket, and all Establishment politicians genuflect. I (and probably most American independents) say ‘good riddance’.
