If the US government calls Ukrainian nazis heroes and gives them $60 billion, why shouldn’t a home grown nazi feel that killing fellow Americans is an acceptable thing to do?
Definitely Nazis. Why else would they have the swastika on their bodies, Stepan Bandera as their leader and SS as their symbol?
And yet you benefit from the fruits of their labor without complaint.
I think the tough policing to black americans is similar to tough policing by the gestapo to the jews of germany. No surprising that it’s not popular.
Integration in a racist society is a pipe dream. Fix the racism and integration will happen.
It’s more likely that the lockdowns forced people to postpone or forego care. This would in turn increase the acuity of their conditions and lead to death in some cases.
For example, if you were getting treatment for cancer but because of the lockdown you did not get that treatment, your condition will likely deteriorate and lead to death.
Or if you have a suspicious bump but don’t want to go to the doctor because you are afraid of COVID then you are likely to have some health issues later on.
This really does not explain the increased cardiovascular issues among the youth or among professional atheletes.I do agree that casualties from postponement of care needs to be looked into and properly controlled for.

^0 million people dead out of 160 million population? What have you been smoking?
Biden recognized the Genocide but had earlier authorized military aid to Azerbaijan. The Armenians got empty words while the Turks got weapons.
Probably was trying to appease the west by not prosecuting the nazis. But as we know, these things don’t work. He should have thought about what happened to Qadafi after he tried to appease the west.
Also, variety of Murican funds and agents of US influence, that were long banned in Russia, operated freely in the dictatorship of Belarus. Maybe this was a case of keep your friends close and enemies closer. Also, since like the 70s the Soviets and their satellites have switched from repressing outright to allowing opposition to function without much repression and repressing marginal elements.

Just require the police to stop killing innocent people and things will be alright. No need for hysterics.
One thing is sure, the Russians stopped another genocide. Or maybe postponed, we will see.
Erdoghan and Aliyev had promised to finish off the Armenians who survived the yataghan in 1915.
The Daghestanis have been involved in a low intensity insurgency against Russia for over 20 years now.
What’s the relationship between Turkey moving jihadis from Syria into Azerbaijan, and the increase in the terror attempts inside Russia a couple of weeks after Turkey did that.
Somewhat related as it involves Turkey

If Turkey says they want Jerusalem, and Israel continues to sell Turkey weapons for this war, then I would agree that Turks deserve to have Jerusalem.
There was an ANNA News report that showed that the AN-2 UAV carry warheads so they are not entirely decoys. Not sure where the idea of decoys came from – all the videos of them getting hit show large explosions.
The Ottoman Empire truly was quite bad and atrocious for all its Christian inhabitants from start to finish. It’s extremely obnoxious how Liberals and Islamists are relentlessly trying to whitewash and distort its historical record.
As far as Serbs are concerned, the only reason why Serbs don’t complain a lot about the Ottoman Empire is because WW1, WW2 and the 1990’s proved to be even worse (although the Ottoman Empire was the single worst thing for Serbs at the time during most of its existence) …
You haven’t touched on the more important point that the Azeris have completely shifted their loyalties to the Turks, to the point where they have completely ceded control of their still-incompetant military to the Turks and violated a Russian and French brokered ceasefire. Its the Turkish drone operators that are inflicting significant damage on the Armenians, not the Azeri infantry.
If the Armenians are defeated, 5-10 years down the line the Russians are going to find that they are sitting on a huge smelly kebab stretching all the way from the Aegean to the other side of the Caspian. And lets not forget their co-religionists in Southern Russia/Dagestan. But I’m confident the real Russian military strategists are seeing beyond keyboard Russian nationalists’ obsession with Pashinyan and at the bigger picture.
Aliyev is not very smart, because he is the fall guy in this war. Although Azerbaijan is roughly equivalent to North Korea in terms of press freedom and repression of dissent, surely the death of thousands of soldiers and billions in military equipment will have consequences internally. He’s even foolishly announced the capture of villages that haven’t even been captured. If the Azeris get pushed back, he’s a dead man.
The smart one is his big brother Erdogan who will egg him on and win either way.
Not even close to the DPRK. A matter of comparing bad and worse.

This isn’t because of any animus I have towards Armenians but rather it would bring a finality to the situation and further undermine all the pieties that buttress liberal hegemony.
Why is Armenian hold over Nagorno-Karabach is now considered as some cornerstone of “liberal hegemony” in Chinese imagination? Since when support of Christans over Muslims have become trademark of such hegemony when that “liberal hegemony” was constantly supporting Muslim side (Bosniaks/Kosovars) in Yugoslavian conflicts against Christian Serbs?
Or there is something else in mind when talking about “all the pieties that buttress liberal hegemony”?
There is no guarantee that Turkey will not try to then eliminate whatever remains of Armenia.
Remember, Turkey genocided Armenians and wiped out close to 80% of them in 1915 through 1922. Armenian populated areas stretched from what is now Armenia until the shores of Eastern Mediterranean. The only thing that is left of it is Kessab in modern day Syria.
Exactly. The history of Turkey since 1880-s is full of ethnic cleansings and genocides of the non-muslim people such as Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians.

And I suspect that Azerbaijan will do no harm to the Armenian civilians that stay. They’ll be model liberators. And they’ll take time to bring back Azerbaijani civilians (refugees/IDPs) to their homes, especially in areas that would become mixed as a result of return.”
We all know what they did to the Armenians in 1915.
At stake is the very existence of the Armenian people. Turkey is trying to finish what remains of them after the genocide last century. Both Erdoghan and Aliev have stated, that they want a “final solution” to the “Armenian problem”.
It’s an existential battle for the Armenians.
It’s been confirmed.
Today the Russian MFA issued a statement condemning the use of Islamic jihadis by Azerbaijan. It’s going to be interesting to see what actions will be taken against those 1,000 or so salafis.
A Turkish F-16 just shot down an Armenian SU-25 inside Armenian borders whose pilot was Russian.
It’s the second instance when the Turks kill a Russian pilot. Not sure if it changes anything for the Russian approach to the war.
If you think of “communism” as “owning the means of production” then it’s almost every American’s dream – like the small businesses owned by people. Incidentally, the Republicans and conservatives are the biggest advocates of such communism.
I think the confusion comes from the typical American ignorance where they confuse the state capitalism of the USSR with the idea of communism. The USSR never claimed to be communist, even the name says they were socialist. It was simply governed by the Communist Party.
Just a few days ago you were lionizing Rittenhouse for killing protesters… Without thinking that it has crossed a tipping point when a minor crosses a state border with an illegal firearm and then shoots a protester in the face where being a protester is the mere provocation.
The tipping point was crossed some time ago and you were cheering on it.
This hasn't been established. Neither has Mr. Rittenhouse's story that he was lent the weapon by a friend in WI. Guess who has the burden of proof.
...a minor crosses a state border with an illegal firearm...
Sure. Even Adam Schiff is now decrying the violence, while of course blaming it on our Orange President.Replies: @Supply and Demand
...where being a protester is the mere provocation.
You are kidding, right? He purposefully went there to create a situation where he could kill people. If the protesters intended to harm him, the guy with the gun would have killed him on the spot instead of trying to disarm him.
Next time they may not be as generous.
I thought in America you can shoot anyone who trespasses on your property.
This. When elites imply that White South Africans have it coming, they are telling us that they think we deserve to be gruesomely murdered in our beds.Replies: @Дима Трамп
And their sins were not even as egregious as those of US Whites, since there was no slavery under Apartheid or Ian Smith’s rule.
Why don’t you go back where you came from? South Africa is not your home, after all.

Do they have statues of Japanese invaders in Busan, or were they toppled at some point in the past?
Recently in Waegwan, I ran into a banner that said, "Which country invaded Hawaii / It's Abe-ism in japan"!
