I’m shocked by the allegation the Allies under Eisenhower starved a million or more German POWs to death after WW2. Are there survivor testimonies? Camp guard testimonies? Even if illegal in Germany to tell of this, I would have thought rumours would be more widespread.

Well, that's how Bacque discovered the story. He noticed all sorts of Thank You letters from various Germans to a local French official, and when he interviewed one of them, the man furtively explained that he had been taken out of one of a camps as a local worker, thereby saving his life. After Bacque published his book, he claims an enormous number of former POWs got in touch with him, saying how grateful they were that the true story was finally being revealed to the world.

As I mentioned in my article, all historians admit that at least 2 million expelled German civilians died on their "Trail of Tears" (and perhaps the figure was much higher), which was certainly the greatest peacetime "ethnic cleansing" in the history of the world. But virtually no Americans are aware of it, since it has almost never gotten any media attention. And my impression is that Germans who talk about it too loudly these days may be arrested and thrown into prison.

The central point of my entire American Pravda series is that our Media creates Reality, and I think this is a pretty good example of that.

Shawn, I think it's possible to do justice to the punishment delivered to Germans during the period you mention. But---and that's a big but--I think you'd need somebody intellectually strong enough to contextualize that 1944-1950 punishment within the genuine political anxieties of ordinary Germans, say, from 1870 on, and the massive failure of German diplomacy prior to 1914, then again post-Munich.

I guess I'm trying to say that, in my opinion, Germany's leadership, Kaiser and later Fuehrer, led a whole bunch of bright, talented people in the center of Europe, and they just didn't know how to handle that political brand.

  • Non-Whites really do often look like members of their racial group. The differences between them are often quite subtle. Since members of racial minorities spend more time around one another than Whites spend around them, they are more tuned into these subtle differences. Whites, on the other hand, vary more dramatically, so it is easier to distinguish us. Light skin makes moles, blemishes, skin texture differences more apparent. Then there is our variation in hair and eye color.

He is a fairly good looking when he looks like a guy, age adjusted of course. He has aged well/has good docs.

One’s age-adjusted looks vary a lot among the famous. For instance, Gerald Ford in his twenties was much better looking than Donald Trump in his twenties, however, the Trump in his seventies looks much better than Gerald Ford did in his seventies. Trump, of course, has had work on his skin and held (transplanted?) his hair. Robert Redford has aged quite badly, Tom Cruise still looks good for a dude–due largely to docs and/or an aggressive skin/hair routine.

As far as attacking neutral countries British and French had plans to invade Norway and Sweden.

Plan R 4 was the World War II British plan for an invasion of the neutral states of Norway and Sweden in April 1940
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_R_4

The Allies devised a plan to use the Soviet Union's 30 November 1939 attack on Finland as a cover for seizing both the Swedish ore fields in the north, and the Norwegian harbours through which it was shipped to Germany. The plan was to get Norwegian and Swedish permission to send an expeditionary force to Finland across Sápmi, ostensibly to help the Finns.

Then it played out differently as it was Germany that eventually invaded Norway though not w/o provocations on the part of Allies. W/o the actions of England and France one can imagine that Germany would not have invaded Norway. But we are told that it was Germany that was an aggressor.

Who’s to say that that wasn’t simply some crazy proposal–in sense that Operation Northwoods was–just some out there proposal cooked up by an off the reservation bureaucrat?

    • Replies: @Gefreiter
    @Shawn Returns

I think Operation Pike must have been a feint or ruse. In this sense I doubt it was the same as Northwoods which seems to me to be an actual plan. Like a MH17 that never had the right circumstances

Much more like the fake D-day landings at Calais with entire divisions of fake tanks and landing craft created so German intelligence could pick up on it. Only a tiny number of political operatives would have been allowed to know the truth.

Another interesting comparison would be the removal of all the air craft carriers before Pearl Harbor, or even the invasion of Iraq after Bush had told Saddam that the US didn't care about Kuwait.

There is a possibility that this was some kind of threat, or even punishment, for Stalin. Stalin had just finished his purges, and after decades of talmudic banker financed industrial development using the finest US and German technology sold out by jews, Stalin had electricity, steel, railroads, a ford truck factory, tractor factories, engine factories, airplane factors. All using the finest western technology to create the foundation for an "arsenal for bolshevism". Stalin had peace with Germany, and he had various tribes of the USSR in the gulag or under his iron fist. Attacking him would have been a massive mistake, and he other sources of oil anyway.

At this point I can believe that the Rothschilds would start creating contingency plans in case Stalin stopped playing their game. I consider this scenario more likely than England and France, without the US, opening up another new war against the USSR, thus forcing Hitler and Stalin to unite and create Mackinders nightmare scenario.

As a ruse, and a veiled threat to Stalin, it makes much more sense. Any English patriot would have known the MI was laced with spies. So in order to deceive Soviet and German spies, some kind of Mossad like false flag diversion was needed. Galipoli served this purpose, Pike could have too. But it either was never really planned, or at least never really set in motion. Just faked just enough to make the right people, or enemies, believe it.

If England was secretly working with Stalin, it could have been a feint to German intelligence that England was planning to go to war with Stalin, thus helping convince Hitler to wait on Barbarossa to see if England bombed Baku. Maybe even England had told Hitler they would bomb baku.

  • Theatrical movies are a declining art form, but, clearly, Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood is a rare get-out-of-the-house-and-go-see-it movie for grown-ups. So, here's a question: how much worse would the movie have been if Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt had switched roles: Could Pitt have played the needy, insecure leading man,...
  • I haven’t seen the movie.

Pitt has the athletic physique of a boxer. Can you imagine the skinny fat DiCaprio playing Pitt’s role in Fight Club or the boxer in Snatch? I can’t. Pitt is this much better suited to the more physical role of a fighting stunt man. (A young Kurt Russell would have been a good fit for that role, too). Pitt is better looking that DiCaprio both facially and in terms of build (like an improved Robert Redford (I’m not homosexual btw)) and when he talks to much, he draws magnetism away from himself, away from his competitive advantage. He’s not a bad talker, but my actor standards he is not phenomenal.

  • From Time: It's almost as if Quentin Tarantino is not a public utility, but instead is an individual man with individual strengths and weaknesses, such as being better at writing dialogue for men (and, moreover, for certain types of men: e.g., middle-aged Hollywood tough guys) than for women or talking babies or space robots or...
