I would not assume that Terry Zwigoff, the director of Bad Santa, set out to subvert the Christian holiday of Jesus’ birth.

Terry Zwigoff has made two, if not more, (if you count Bad Santa and Ghost World) very important American films. Perhaps Bad Santa does not live up that status, but certainly his documentary about blues musician Howard Armstrong “Louie Bluie” and his other documentary about R. Crumb (“Crumb”), satisfy the requirements of great American.

“Crumb” is, in my mind, the quintessential documentary- biopic par excellence, the style of which has oft-been imitated but never duplicated. And it is of a fascinating subject. R. Crumb is a great American artist. An artist that the Aussie art-critic Robert Hughes called a modern day Bruegel, who drew from his own fractured, American upbringing and from the alienation of modernity interrogated in the works of Jewish author Franz Kafka. And, oddly, Kafka, himself, wrestled with very anti-Jewish feelings, once wishing in his writing to strangle, himself, the Jewish people. Complicated, to say the least.

The wealth that R. Crumb was able to gather for himself allowed a body of work later in his career as an artist which is scathing in its indictment of modern America and its twin evil pillars of marketting and politically-correct culture.

But perhaps once Zwigoff steered away from interesting American artists, and into narrative films, that he lost steam or, worse, revealed himself as a force similar to that put forth by the op, a Jewish filmmaker with a bone to pick when it comes to wholesome Christian representation in film. But I think it is personally more complicated with Zwigoff.

In Bad Santa, there is a very innocent, light-haired boy who meets Thorton’s Bad Santa character and immediately latches on to him. At first, Thorton’s Santa takes advantage of the boy’s naivety, but soon comes to feel for the boy’s pitiful vulnerability. In the next scenes towards the end of the film, Santa physically assaults some underage juveniles who were bullying the young boy. As a youth, I laughed. But perhaps now, maybe distasteful. The film culminates in the shootout, where Santa is racing home to the boy to not disappoint him.

At bottom, the story is about a sinner who comes to see the redemptive light of this child. Hardly subversive to Christmas I would say. Wholesome? No.

I would liken some of the op’s points to similar criticism leveled at the early iteration of the Simpsons on Fox. The common thread of these was the inability to make it through the obscenities of the episodes to the beautifully-arranged endings where a universal moral emerges and the “nucular” family is affirmed.

The specter of Automation in manufacturing is one of the great (and most useful) canards utilized by the neoliberals today.

Another example that I have seen put forth at zerohedge is the mason-replacing brick wall machine, whereby the machine still needs humans to feed it bricks (lol) and where any type of craftsmanship (differing patterns, edgework, corner-work, change-in-pitch) is sacrificed for a blank, no-frills edifice. Seems soul-gougingly Brutalist to me.

How I see it could be the latter theory is that any hostility for China from the Biden regime is exclusively to leverage the position of the administration class in the U.S., which are the sole profiters of this globalist arrangement. I took my wife to an OB-GYN for a checkup into her first pregnancy, ~ 5 months in 2013.

You are assuming a backroom deal between world jewry and China has not or is not in the process of happening already.

If I remember correctly, RFK Jr. was a notable reviewer on Dissolving Illusions’ binding. I may be mistaken, but I do know that they have met and he has been appreciative of her work.

Perhaps take a look at that one, as well, if you get a chance. Over the years, I have scoured the internet for articles questioning Dr. Humphries’ assertions. Of course, they are there, but everything I have read addressing her book does not satisfy to dissuade one that diet and sanitation improvements seem to be the greatest technological improvement in the field of medicine in the 20th century, with vaccines way down the list. Keep in mind, the book is about vaccines in the west. I have read very little on the effects of vaccines in the developing world, though do know that recent dengue vaccines in the Phillipines and polio vaccines in India have been utter disasters.

Perhaps we are all on edge in part due to the divisiveness of the times. Perhaps it is good to get your natural booster by getting the shingles at my age.

After recovering, my doctor said that I should get the new shingles vaccine. Why? I just got over it. Having 2x shingles in your life is somewhat rare and besides a little moderate pain, it is not worth a vaccine.

I do think you have missed the boat on this Chapelle performance.

There are a couple things that are important to realize but can’t seem to grasp.

Chapelle is in the belly-of-the-beast during this set. He is employing some nuance in his attacks as when he says that, “it’s not crazy to have the thought that jews control everything. But it is a crazy thing to say in this environment.” Clearly, he is correctly alluding to not only any black man raising this question, but also this performance itself, being surrounded by jews.

If you look at this singular event as a fail, I think you are neglecting the fact that this shifts once again the overton window.

Not only that, but by presenting the question in a humorous manner, how a comic is supposed to operate, he can get out of the lion’s mouth unscathed and dancing out of his handcuffs.

If and when the jews come hard at him for this, which they appear to be doing, he just will assimilate this content into his next set. Iow, black consciousness is in the process of an ongoing emergence.

When Chapelle brought up $20-buck-G-Floyd a couple years ago, he came at it from an establishment angle. Since then, he himself has come along by not bringing it up anymore. I look at Chapelle and give him a little leeway because he is fresh and will get to the heart of the matter eventually.

The authors of the book use this graph instead of yours when looking at measles mortality in the 20th century and the vaccine’s near-negligible role in eradicating mortality. The hard work had already been won by increased sanitation, better diet, and less poverty.

Despite this knowledge, the mmr in particular is the one vaccine that is usually required for public school attendance. No other vaccine to my knowledge, including obviously the covid ones, are necessary for attending public schools. It’s a travesty of science.

You can claim to be many things in life, because often in life, new ideas find us when we need them the most or when it finally is able to click.

My grappling with my Catholicism, because faith is a grappling with, led me to the thinking/apologetics of Rene Girard. Mr. Girard will probably be a saint in our Church in due course, but to explain his thought is rather simple: mankind utilizes myth unconsciously/subconsciously to deal with the problem of desire.

Two people wanting the same thing lies at the center of the problem of human desire. Animals can not feel this desire because their natures are set. It is only the human being who does not know what he wants and therefore has to look to the other as a model to know what to desire. But the problem arises when one person looks at another and covets what they have. This coveting reaffirms why the owner of the thing liked it and wanted it in the first place.

Eventually, all kinds of immitation of desire (Rene Girard calls it mimesis) leads to group scandal, war, violence. This need to exorcise the problem unites the group often towards a scapegoat. In most myths up until Christianity, the one scapegoated is blamed for all kinds of things, evildoings, but is often entirely innocent. Think of Mayan sacrifices, Pagan sacrifices, etc.. Or, more recently, girls exterminated for being girls in China.

What makes Christianity entirely new and revelatory is that for the first time in history, the victim is the one favored by God. And the mob that sets upon the scapegoat is that being ruled by Satan.

It’s food for thought. Jesus can be understood and defended first anthropoligically, meaning that God is asking us not to kill innocents or scapegoat, but after that, he can be defended mystically in that this revelation is truly a gift from God (i.e. the knowledge of Satan in our desires and how we should bend not towards the ruler of this world but towards God).

This muzzie is super arrogant and is only running circles around himself.

I would make the argument that when administering communion, it is understood that there is no viable means of determining whether the one receiving is actually spiritually in communion with the church. I am trying to establish through psychological phenomena of human existence as well as anthropological history of blood sacrificing of innocents in Archaic religion how Christians can see themselves as truly up against the world. This is somewhat true but I think the reality is much more complicated.

I will summarize by making some broad-statements about the various sides: Traditional Catholics are more like Jews than you realize. They have a legalistic approach to their faith that distances itself from the negative aspect of Christianity (negative in the Hegelian-sense that Christianity was the antithesis to the Abrahamic-tradition up to that point). In a sense, Traditional Catholics are trying, and failing, to revert back to a more Judaized version of Christianity and their distrust of Vatican II provided the pretense for this attempt.

Vatican II was a pastoral council that affirmed Dogmas hitherto of the Catholic Church. I see nothing too outrageous in Vatican II, and I have never been presented with an argument supporting, that would point to the Church’s downward demographic trajectory as being correlated with the implementation of Vatican II.

That being said, I am no expert on Vatican II but do notice a pattern that most people upset with the state of the world, as Catholics, seem to point to a weakening Church as the cause of this slippage into debasement, and this slippage is directly linked to Vatican II. Can we say, “scapegoat?”

The Church has indeed failed in proper Catechisis and has been too reconciliatory with the world, having been caught flat-footed on its back legs. Even Bishop Barron has said as much. But he has not gone that far in condemning the Magisterium vis a vis Vatican II.

Will a more legalistic approach to our faith enkindle its growth? Perhaps. The youth today seem quite enamored with a more rigid approach to faith. But as a thinking person I have my sincere doubts. I don’t hate other cultures and their natural religions. Studying Girard shows that cultures need their tribal religions and have since their inception.

It stands to reason that we all can’t be right. And that is not the point of truth anyway, to dominate others. The point of truth is to share it, because he who loves truth must hate subjecting others to objectification which is precisely what the scapegoat mechanism does and indeed is what tribalism does: there is us and then there is “them.”

Catholic and Orthodox Christianity is the universal Church, meaning for all. It stands to reason that a baby does not understand and needs their parents. So too has man needed a parent figure to tell her what is right to do.

Other cultures, however, have what is called impervious ignorance meaning that due to their situation, their parents have not accepted the Holy Spirit. The Church must pass no judgement on those that have of yet not accepted the Gospel.

I have gone round the horn of this so many times already, on MoA and with family. The redpill can make you feel really crazy and can make erections last more than three hours. But contrary to the CDC’s guidelines on the redpill, it can not be transmitted through proximity, so no masking required.

Charlie Kirk failed to contain the Jewish Question. Whether his “awakening” was real or that he was told to adopt a critical stance in his last days is irrelevant. I believe his paymasters, various Zionists and dark-money Jewish interests, greenlighted the change to a more critical stance towards Israel.

This change, also seen in Candace Owens when she left Daily Wire, does not necessarily reflect a change in their personal view towards Israel, but, in my opinion, demonstrates the role of the gatekeeper that must ebb and flow as the situation demands, providing pressure relief to a growing sense in the public that the Genocide in Gaza is real, thereby giving the illusion that the media is rallying to our side. This is the MO of Mockingbird Media and for many to suggest that the change in Mr. Kirk’s thinking is genuine, I think overlooks this facet of the mediasphere to accommodate the Overton Window.

The case in point of this can be seen in Mrs. Owen’s very public dismissal by the Jewish Daily Wire. I suppose it doesn’t cross the mind of many of her defenders that the whole kerfuffle might actually have been a scripted falling-out. Indeed, her firing lent credibility to Mrs. Owen’s, if only for a short while, that her conscience could not be purchased.

Then, when she made the mistake of inviting Nick Fuentes on her show, leveling accusations and appearing ill-at-ease in his company (a fact that immediately perked Mr. Fuentes’ antennae, who thought that a conversation with Candy might have been cathartic for both, as they had both been canceled by Jewish-controlled media), it became apparent to many that Candy’s firing from Daily Wire was scripted and it had everything to do with Nick Fuentes.

Not a week later, Candy went on Tucker’s show, happy as a clam, her guard down, and they proceeded with an attempted hit piece that also blew-up in their face where even the NYT, who recently did an expose on Fuentes, readily admitted that Candy and Tucker got way more than they bargained for when they messed with Fuentes.

So this leads us back to Kirk. I do not bring up Fuentes to prop him up. The sad reality is this: Kirk was losing in his task of gatekeeping the Jewish Question and this had been largely in part due to the rise of Fuentes. When Kirk’s paymasters went back to the drawing board with Kirk and said, “Let’s ease them into a critical stance towards Israel,” Kirk took the bait, because he really wasn’t that smart and did not know how bloodthirsty these fucks are.

When Kirk left the meeting, the secondary plan was made involving his assassination. They were going to find a purpose for Kirk yet.

In many ways, you can see the bind that Fuentes is in if he is a legitimate maverick.

He MUST tow the line and denounce deranged leftists for their cheering of Mr. Kirk’s death.

But, beyond this, if he takes the proverbial foot off the gas, goes easy on the JQ, gets behind Trump’s domestic crackdown (which is ongoing), and seemingly buries the hatchet with establishment shills like Daily Wire and Tucker (which I think very unlikely), then I suppose he will lose a ton of grassroot support.

He has made it emphatically clear over the years that power is what is needed to turn the tables…Thucydides and all that. When someone is ascending, he will have to say goodbye to many of those that got him there. Sad but a truism.

I am holding onto hope.

So either Fuentes is the “Last gatekeeper” and is outing himself or he is just missing the boat entirely here. His persistent anger against the above line of questioning is very odd.

As someone fired from my job for not taking the vaccine during covid, and realizing it was just a big retribution against MAGA-types by the left when it was Biden’s turn, I do feel like putting the 60,000 in unemployment camps now will be paid back 10x when Mr. Newsome becomes president, perhaps by the new hate speech laws that DJT will finally be able to shoehorn in at the end of his term.

This is true, regardless of my thinking of Fuentes at the outset of this discussion about him being a Fed.

The job of both sides is to cheer Big Daddy Government harder or set the conditions so that the sleeping right and left will register events in a pro-government mode and give the popular mandate for crackdown.

Right now, it is the “right’s” turn to enjoy the show and watch the enemy writhe. Keep in mind, the only writhing going on, however, is just very low level true believer types, pink-haired trans weirdos and Jan. 6th midwit conservatives who struggle with inflation and think DJT is some kind of agent of change.

In three years, however, the left will probably again take control of the Federal Government and we will then probably have the Palantir instrument in place by DJT and the Repunlicans, legislation and/or EOs, that restrict free speech when it comes to Jewish-Supremacism.

The tricky part will be for the government to be able to convince leftists that all anti-Jewish speech is bad. IOW, how will TPTB conflate that topic with others that they agree with so that the “left” will be screaming for blood?

After all, the venn diagram of anti-Judaic supremacy holds that certain segments of the right and the left intersect in their opinion of Israel.

So how will TPTB get “antisemitism” under control by Palantir if this reaction from them galvanizes both the left and the right to work together against Big Daddy?
