The discussion and debate over Coronavirus is a moot one. In the United States, each state is going to do what its own polity will put up with in terms of economic shutdown. In this regard, the Coronavirus has been a major victory for real people as it has shown once and for all that the power distance from mainstreet Washington is too far, and that lacknof accountabilty has resulted in an unacceptable level of incompetence and corruption.

Neither Anglin, Johnson or Griffin has any impact on policy, and are just baiting for clicks with this stuff. Nobody recognizes any of these people as sources of insight or wisdom, and nobody is seeking their opinion as a way to navigate these treacherous times. Just as well, as none of them have given us anything resembling a measured view of the reality on the ground, which presumably would help us little people at least to decide what to do to strike a healthy balance of prudence and productivity.

The dissident right was useful as a “movement” only while it provided utility to people by giving them insight into the reality on the ground in the real world, cutting through the establishment mainstream liberal dichotomy.

It doesn’t do that anymore. In hard times, the fat gets cut since folks cant afford the wasted time and resources on indulgences. Hard times are coming. The dissident right bloggers and content creators don’t have much time left to grift off of us.

They soon will either get their shit together, or have to get actual jobs. Either way we won’t have to deal with this inane content drought.

It reads like his other drug fueled tirades, and has his characteristic hateful rage and contempt as a pervasive undertone.

I would add an insistence on parsimony as a guiding principle for making decisions on things that cannot be determined absolutely. Basically common sense, which goes to your point about always questioning the dominant narrative.

We don’t live in an age governed by common sense, so common sense seems usually to lead to a dissident perspective, a skeptic is always going to be a dissident.

Parsimony, applied to this article reveals a big hole in the basic reasoning. All of the statistics surrounding deathrates assume that the cause of death was correctly attributed to Covid, rather than just said to be so because of the obvious and widely reported financial interests hospitals had in claiming deaths were from Covid when they were just deaths with Covid.

Over time as we begin to understand just how destructive the lockdown policies were, its becoming alot easier to understand where many of those extra million deaths came from, and they weren’t all from the virus. Many will be shown to be the vaccines themselves. Deaths resulting from negligence of the doctors and hospitals that allowed their patients to die without needed surgeries and treatments during lockdown, elders and homeless left to starve, suicide, drug overdose and a huge increase in murders over the same time frame.

All of these things were predictable outcomes of lockdown policy and could perhaps have been avoided if more urbanite intellectuals like the author weren’t so satisfied with the “orthodox” narrative from the outset.

He might be coming around now, but there are real consequences for not being skeptical of the dominant narrative even when its not the safe position to take. The cats out of the bag on this thing now and its fast becoming pretty safe to buck the dominant narrative now.

Where were the keyboard elites of the dissident right when it actually mattered though?

It would only be surprising if the clandestine services that enforce the interests of the empire weren’t engaged in political assassination. This is as normal as breathing for any empire, not just ours.

As a White middle class guy in the heart of flyover country, there is no part of either side of Israel/Hamas that is my problem.
