He proceeded to stealing private property to enrich himself and his cronies, and use the money to bribe voters for future elections.

The outbreak there was due to Chinese textile/leather workers from Wuhan, all living in the same apartment buildings, returning from visiting Wuhan and bringing the virus with them. Eric knows how to adapt his communist dreams to his audience. If his audience (when using this name, instead of posting in RevLeft and other forums) is anti-Israel, he says that a failed private rocket launch in Israel proves that private production can’t deliver but the government can. Apparently talking about the U.S. space travels – full of cooperation with private businesses. But he hopes kids don’t know that.

Eric praises the Left for buying votes with welfare parasitism. He laments that “we” (the Right he talks to, but doesn’t belong to) didn’t “invent it first”. This is simply an excuse for his own situation.

Eric says that living on welfare is great: “The blacks do it and they seem to be happy.” This is again an excuse for his own situation. He simply wants to build an audience out of those who don’t want to study in school or work thereafter.

Eric calls himself a Bolshevik. But he adds “Naz” before it, using the “Nazbol” oxymoron to make it more palatable. Apparently he dreams of the mass murder and mass rape that he missed out on.

Eric hilariously claims that the Southern Confederacy was actually leftist, because it was the Democrat Party! Therefore you should be a leftist! (As anyone can see, the parties basically switched places since then. But he hopes teenagers don’t know that.)

Funny how “Eric Striker” picks a picture of Steve Mnuchin, knowing it will rattle this particular audience he is trying to reach now. He will never show the communists that ran the Soviet Union. Or mention the fact that Karl Marx, who he got the “capitalist” slur from, was a Jew.

He claims that Jews “stole” communism which is apparently otherwise perfectly normal and actually “White.” A system where a few steal everything for themselves and keep everyone else as slaves. This is what he wants, saying the Soviet Union would have worked if it was Germans instead of Slavs. Apparently he is dreaming of being a commissar instead of being in his current situation.

Just like Trotsky popularized “racism”, so did Marx before him popularize “capitalism” with the same intent. Take the part that is easiest to attack in nationalism, or the part the barely literate workers of the time would dislike the most – that investment could give returns to the investors – and make that the name for the whole thing.

That we have private production, private selling and buying and ownership, private investment, is not “capitalism,” it’s something perfectly normal throughout history. The Indian tribes that don’t allow it are still small and starving in the jungle.

Still waiting for when “Eric” will mention the little detail about his beloved communism being invented by Jews as a way to take control. Maybe he praises that – when writing under another name in certain other forums.

About 15% of those afflicted by the coronavirus have to be hospitalized, and it can easily spread until it’s out of control. Like in Italy, Spain and Norway – but no one mentions the last because it is a smaller nation. And in New York City and elsewhere.

Hopkins, you should talk to medical personnel a bit. The coronavirus fills up the hospital beds. It easily infects the staff. In a British hospital a man came in with a cough, and it turned out it was corona. One quarter of the staff had to stay home in quarantine because they had been in contact with him. What do you think that does to a hospital?

The Italian doctor who said the country’s hospitals would soon be overwhelmed has now died from treating corona victims. Hopkins: “It’s still fewer dead than the flu, so it doesn’t matter!”

When hospital beds and ventilators are overwhelmed the number of dead start increasing rapidly. Also from secondary causes, those who can’t get treatment for accidents and disease.

More than half of those hospitalized are middle age and young now. It mutates. Like viruses do.

I live in Sweden. While New York has definitely failed, it isn’t true that Sweden has no quarantine.

Now, there is no law allowing the government to do a shutdown, but plenty of stores are closed everywhere. Stockholm has 60% fewer commuters. The Stockholm roads are so empty in the middle of the day that you can ride a bike in the car lane. There are still cars, but nowhere near what there used to be.

At a coffee shop that remains open, there were only seven visitors yesterday before me and my friend went there. They now close early, at six.

Several of my relatives work in offices that are down to 40 percent work hours. Grocery stores have plastic screens in front of the cashiers, and tape on the floor to show the distance between people standing in line.

Sports, clubs, etc are closed. College students have classes over the internet. My girlfriend works from home now, as do I. You see the effects everywhere.

The schools are open, though – which I think is bad, as that’s where disease usually spreads. And the stores choose on their own whether to be closed or not. (But whether they will get customers is another matter.)

The old don’t get visits from “home services,” but instead have food delivered to outside the door. And people opt out of what they can be without.

You could say it’s a “mixed shutdown”. Which may be better than a full shutdown, and better than no shutdown. It’s people using their own judgment.

And of course, Somalis and other usual suspects have more corona cases, just like “Turks” (Kurds) in Belgium rack up more corona cases, as they live with tons of children in each apartment and they don’t care about any rules. So … not all bad.

Of course, we know that if a Democrat had been president, and had been either for or against a shutdown, the Republicans would have criticized that too.

This should not be partisan. The Swedish semi-shutdown is what Boris Johnson wanted to do in Britain, but he was attacked as a greedy right-winger who only thinks about the economy. (As do anyone with a job, and children to feed.) But Sweden, with a coalition government led by the Social Democrats, does the same thing.

Of course, there was no choice, as Sweden has no law that allows a quarantine. Also, it wouldn’t have worked. Punishment for crimes is extremely low, vicious felons walk free after just a brief and comfortable prison stay, and the police don’t even investigate non-violent crimes like burglaries anymore since the worse crimes eat up all the resources. So a quarantine where you get fined for leaving the house would have been ignored by Arabs, Somalis, Kurds and Afghans. Giving everyone a very clear example of how these groups will openly ignore the law.

You have to limit the comparison like that. Only comparing Sweden’s numbers to Norway and Denmark. How about Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy?

It’s like people writing about how Sweden has more cases “per capita” than Norway. As if rocks and trees get corona. When the reality is that Norway has far more cases per million people.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I support a quarantine. For the countries that need it. I support it for the U.S., because it will be a disaster if corona comes back every year, throughout the winter. It can put 25% of doctors and nurses in a hospital in quarantine, from contact with a patient, and that is unaffordable. Corona must be stopped.

But for Sweden, the approach of a semi-shutdown was probably right.

Corona is the yankee killer like nothing else.

If corona is allowed to spread everywhere so you can’t get rid of it, and so it comes back every winter, and not just in the end of the winter like now, the U.S. is screwed.

And U.S. Blacks, of course, are the fattest group in the entire West. So … not all bad.

And while you come up with conspiracy theories – the cuckservatives to excuse the Chinese people, who demanded the wet markets be re-opened during SARS, causing a second SARS outbreak, and the nationalists because they love a “hidden hand” story more – and talk about “this is fewer than die in flu!” (an extreme lie) or “fewer than die in car accidents in a year,” you ignore the real danger.

The real danger is that corona spreads everywhere, like, yes, the flu. But unlike the flu corona is far deadlier. Even now it kills more people per day worldwide than even tuberculosis. That is despite being fought with quarantines. Do you understand yet? If corona becomes deeply rooted everywhere in society, we will have six months of outbreaks every year, instead of just the end of the winter.

A single case can put a quarter of hospital staff in quarantine after contact. We can’t afford this. And hospital staff aren’t exactly thrilled about getting permanent lung damage or dying from this every year, because you claim “It’s only the people with pre-existing conditions who die, let them.”

Pre-existing conditions. The main pre-existing condition is obesity. That’s more than one third of American adults. And pre-obesity overweight, that’s even more Americans. This puts the majority of American adults in a pre-diabetic state. While you wave away “pre-existing conditions” as something that doesn’t happen to you – because you don’t take diabetes shots – you’re shooting yourselves in the head.

You want a pandemic every year? You want no quarantine to stop it, so that the hospitals are overwhelmed like in Italy, Spain, Benelux and New York? So that hospital staff die, get lung damage, or are forced into quarantine throught a six-month period every year? So that we get a permanent killer far more dangerous than even tuberculosis – and this in the West, not just in the Third World? You want immense medical costs? Then keep repeating Tucker Carlson’s lies. He does it for the ratings, what’s your excuse?

So workers are not to blame for enabling the Left with its mass immigration for many decades, for example. Workers started leaving because of the failed economic policies that nearly bankrupted Britain before Margaret Thatcher turned the economy around, for example. The Left always had Cultural Marxism with the workers still voting for them. But after they started steadily losing voters, because of their economics, they increased the Cultural Marxism to mold new groups of voters.)

Note also the huge difference in basic humanity and decency in Taiwan vs China. Taiwanese act normal, but in communist countries they are molded to be cynical and only look out for themselves. That is the result of being slaves for generations to a small cabal that owns everything.

As usual communists are guilty of what they then accuse their targets of. “CAPITALISM!! is greedy!” Communists are the greediest people on Earth, who want to own everything in a country without working, and preventing the slaves from leaving. “CAPITALISM!! makes people act bad!” Communist countries destroy the nation’s human spirit for generations. This happened in China, in Vietnam, in Cambodia, and so on.

In Vietnam, the communist party dehumanizes men when they do their military service. They come home snarling at their mothers and sisters, acting sadistic, taking pleasure in throwing their weight around and daring people to say no. They have learned that they are “the nation’s soldiers” blah blah and can do what they want. It’s encouraged. This hatred of normal society is useful for beating down dissent.

I live in Sweden. Note that the Swedish strategy – which all political parties basically agree on – was what they wanted in Britain too, but Boris Johnson was pummeled for it. He was called “a cold capitalist who only cares about the economy.” (The economy: The sum of all our livelihoods.) But the coalition government in Sweden is headed by the Social Democrats again, so then it’s okay.

Note however that we do have about half of stores closed down. And 60% fewer commuters on buses, trains and in the subway. Many workplaces have only 40% work hours, and others work from home. There is a semi-quarantine.

I will not say that quarantine is bad. Or that the system in Sweden is bad. Clearly Italy and Spain and New York need quarantine. Clearly you need to prevent massive outbreaks that overwhelm the hospital systems in countries and U.S. states, which can happen. But also, I hope the strategy employed in Sweden will result in herd immunity in the future.

Because we can’t have this deadly virus come back every winter. For six months, instead of just in the end of the winter like now. We can’t have it spread everywhere and be deeply rooted, like the much less deadly flu is. Corona already kills more people globally per day than tuberculosis, the second largest killer. And tuberculosis is mostly outside the West. Imagine having a worse killer than tuberculosis spread in every Western town and city forever.

If quarantine stops that, I’m for it. If going for herd immunity stops that, I’m for it. We’ll see. And let’s not make this a partisan issue. But of course, the U.S. political climate right now won’t allow for anything but warfare in every issue right now – for or against Trump, in everything.

This part of Whitney’s well-written article bears repeating:

David Cole at Takimag has dealth with this. As he says, the Left wants the Chinese government to be responsible because blaming the “exotic animal” eating people of Wuhan would be racist. The Right wants the Chinese government to be responsible because it’s “communist” (in reality farther to the Right both economically and culturally than the U.S.). And the alt-Right wants the Chinese government to be responsible because of the liking for hidden hand explanations.

Like several other major diseases, such as the “Spanish” Flu and SARS, SARS-2 came from China’s wet markets, where disease spreads by the mixing of animals who would never mix naturally, and people walking around among the intestines and dirty water. During the Algerian War, socialists and churches united to attack France. As usual. As in South Africa, for example, or in Australia, where socialists and churches demanded an end to White rule and an end to Whites-only immigration, respectively.

…What do you think the sentence for violating quarantine would be? A symbolic fine, meaning that the police would ignore the crime. Immigrant, socialist-voting neighborhoods would do whatever they wanted, ignoring the quarantine, and that would be impossible to hide from the outside world.

Plus, as I said, there is no law that allows a quarantine.

That is not to say that Sweden’s semi-quarantine, if we call it that, has been a disaster. It hasn’t. And the Swedish people, now that they are used to this, would never agree to a quarantine in this late stage.

Luckily Sweden DOES have measures against the virus. Commuting is down by 60%, for example. There are cautionary measures everywhere.

The first problem is that apparently they say that immunity isn’t their strategy. Just now from Aftonbladet: “Folkhälsomyndigheten om flockimmunitet: Inte vår strategi”.

What does it mean to say that immunity prevents a reinfection? It means that older and sick people have to be isolated, what in many or most cases isn’t easy or possible. Beyond that, those who survive survive, while those who are weaker have to die.

He still says: “They crafted a policy that was designed to protect the old and vulnerable, prevent the public health system from being overwhelmed”. But this is exactly what every country has been doing. The ones who started too late, or who had a more difficult situation have had a more difficult or dramatic situation. It’s difficult to see how they should have avoided a lockdown.

According to the data provided by the John Hopinks University, the number of death in Sweden in the last days increases again and the last day has a number of deaths that has been overtaken only 3 times. I don’t know from where Whitney’s optimism comes.

Today I saw on tv the case of a man who is 29 years old. He survived corvid-19 after weeks in a hospital. Now he is cured. But his throat had to be cut in an emergency and now he has to learn everything again because his case was a difficult case. He sits in a wheelchair. We know that covid can afect many organs, we still don’t know about possible damages that remain.

Absolutely. I live in Sweden, and I think the strategy here, with support from across the political spectrum, is right for Sweden. Not for the far less healthy U.S., for example. “Underlying conditions” is what to remember – the main underlying condition is hypertension, i.e. high blood pressure. The vast majority of Americans suffer from high blood pressure and diabetes or pre-diabetic conditions.

Had nothing been done in the U.S. the whole country would have been overwhelmed. Like northern Italy, Spain, the Netherlands.

Different approaches are right for different countries. There is no need for reader to praise or malign Sweden’s approach.

Sweden does have a lot of anti-corona measures, by the way. 60% fewer commuters in Stockholm – people work from home if they can.

University classes are done from the home when possible. (I always said in college that we could have gotten the lectures in writing, it would have been much better for the students. But the professors want to get paid for those lectures.)

The old are isolated. (Whitney in the article above does acknowledge this, and that there are other measures.)

No meetings with 50 people or more allowed – and this means almost every smaller event is also cancelled, voluntarily.

In many workplaces, they work only two days a week. There aren’t many customers anyway.

Coffee shops are mostly empty, restaurants as well. The economy remains open, but on a significantly lower level.

So, it’s semi-isolation. Not full isolation or no isolation. It is the best solution for Sweden. (And there’s no law that allows confining the population to their homes.) Not for the U.S., I believe. When people point to the map and say “Look, not much corona there” – they ignore the fact that quarantine is in place.

Everyone should read up on the Mulhouse Cluster in France, to see what happens when an African “French” megachurch decided to hold its annual 2,500-attendant meeting. Corona spread from that and outward – the map of this is interesting. That could be in the U.S., it could be in any country. If we’d listen to the “corona is a hoax!” people.

And what’s with the constant comparison of Sweden with Norway or Denmark? “Similar countries!” Yes, neighbors, well done. Why not compare with the Netherlands, with its massive corona outbreak? Imagine if there’d be no quarantine there. No one in the Netherlands denies that quarantine measures are needed. They don’t have a Trump to be pro or against, translating that into being pro or against quarantine. (No matter that Trump is also pro and against at the same time.)

There is plenty more misinformation, leading to “China or the U.S. created corona!” No, it was the Chinese people who did it, in the wet markets.

Very interesting! I didn’t know about the killing of the priests of Baal, the Lord of Heaven, to put the tribal god Yahweh in his place.

It is true that the Old Testament shows all the sickness clearly. We are never told in school how the “poor, persecuted Jews” invaded Canan and murdered everyone – how Moses was angry at his captains for sparing the women and children of a captured city, and sent them back in there to slaughter those as well.

There was a fierce debate among the monks about whether to attach the Torah to the New Testament. Those who wanted to pad the book to make it look more impressive and with a connection to ancient times won.

The New Testament stories were indeed intended to break the rabbinic, Yahweh-worshiping hold on the Jewish mind. It didn’t work. Instead the Torah, called the Old Testament, was included with the New as Whites were subjugated by Constantin, slaughtered in the tens of thousands by the shores of the Mediterranean by the freed slaves and servants who harbored hatred against the Romans and Greeks and their culture, which like in all cultures was interwoven with their gods. Denmark and Norway had a very rapid increase in corona cases, due to tourists coming home from skiing in northern Italy, until they imposed a quarantine. Where would they have been without a quarantine? No, Sweden hasn’t taken the same tough measures, but Sweden also didn’t have that swift and large outbreak. But the U.S. did. And the U.S. has very high mobility across state borders.

2. How about this for science: 42% of adult Americans are obese blobs. 4.7%-9.2% severely so. The vast majority of American adults are fat. This puts them in a state of diabetes or pre-diabetes, which causes hypertension, a high blood pressure. Those who die or have their lungs damaged by corona overwhelmingly have “pre-existing conditions,” and maybe people think hey, that’s not me. But hypertension is the number one pre-existing condition. So without quarantine, Americans would be screwed. It would be worse than Spain, Belgium, Ireland and Italy.

Look up “Corona Mulhouse”. That’s what happens when people think they can gather like before. “Corona is a hoax, man. It’s just the flu.” An African “megachurch” held its annual meeting of 2,500 people, thinking that praying to Yahweh would protect them from a real-life virus. It didn’t. Extremely misleading headline. Since the Asia Times story is actually about economic and political sovereignity – always a big issue for China ever since the Eight Powers carved up the nation in the past: Germany, Japan, Russia, Britain, France, Italy, Austria-Hungary, and the U.S.

It doesn’t speak about warfare against the U.S. It speaks about meeting a threat from the U.S. It does speak of taking Taiwan, though by avoiding outright warfare. This is not something we should desire, but it is not war against the U.S., as the misleading headline is intended to make people believe.

As usual most of the rubes will only read the headline and look at the pictures, maybe skim through the text a bit, before typing out an angry post based on whether they like or dislike whatever nation is mentioned. Much like cruzbots and Bush lovers use Breitbart comments to screech against Iran and praise Israel. No facts needed.

So Britain’s defense of the Falkland Islands, fighting back the military junta, was “another imperialist war”. It is laughable to see amateurs use the word “imperialist”. Always the same kiddies who complain about “consumption!!!” while wearing clothes, sitting in a house, using a cellphone or computer, eating food, walking on streets, using a toothbrush and lamps and furniture, and enjoying the services created by others – all consumption.

Enough with the ridiculous slogan talk, Saker. It’s getting as embarrassing as the talk of the Chinese loving their government and participating in local politics, which they don’t.

As for the Falkland Islands, they were uninhabited in the past, before the British started developing them. Then the junta wanted an easy war and attacked to take the British farms. How was the junta any less “imperialist” than the British? And I assume you support Indians from Mexico taking California and Texas, which belonged to Indians first? Since defending the land built by Whites is “imperialism”. Land that is better developed and used by Whites.
