They really aren’t allies and don’t represent any ‘Axis of Resistance’, ‘multipolar partnership, or anything at all but themselves. These are 3 very different civilizations that have historically competed, fought each other, and hold deep animosities towards each other – almost as much – or maybe even more – than they do of the West.

Well here at Unz we have many believers in the Tripartite of Fantasy where Putin will help Russia.......any day now...........(crickets).

Putin puts on the little Jewish party hat when visiting Israel (most dignitaries do not), calls Netanyahu a close friend, brags of expanding trade with Israel, sells Israel oil and diamonds, and praises Russian Jews for promoting strong morals in Russia.

Our Putin defenders actually look at all that and conclude: Putin is fightin them Jews! Cuz Zelenksy is a Jew! He gonna go after Israel one of these days!

Nevermind that an Iranian general accused Putin of only pretending to attack the HTS column. Meaning Putin stabbed Assad in the back. Funny how our pro-Putin bloggers didn't cover that. An oversight I'm sure.

A Tripartite of Fantasy.

Putin serves Putin. There is a long list of Russians that fell out of windows, fell down stairs or drowned in accidents after thinking it was a good idea to trust an ex-KGB agent who lamented the fall of the USSR. Even more amusing is that some of his followers at Unz actually buy his Christian act. Yea a real Christian. Because Christians lament the fall of an anti-Christian empire that actually taught atheism in elementary schools. Oh but he showed up to church and held a cross or something. So you can trust him.

If Iran falls, Russia will get their full attention, next.
 

Why did it fail?
Because the Chinese and Indians kept the Russian economy afloat and kept trading with Russia.
Because the majority of the world refused to impose sanctions on Russia.
Because the Chinese, N Koreans and Iranians defied sanctions and supplied drones and dual use equipment.

For all this talk about some multipolar world, only one pole is going all in to support its components and itself, as a whole – the West.
 

The rest of the world has weaker "support" system because it works as individual sovereign countries interacting together.

The West is able to "support" each other because the USA dictates, then arm twists its reluctant vassals into doing its bidding.

The "West" really is just the US Empire.

Hezbollah was not obliterated. That’s why it was a “ceasefire”. It is literally because neither side one. Israel used air power - but as soon as its ground forces went in - they took heavy casualties. Hezbollah still has their weapons - which is why US and Israeli officials are not happy with the ceasefire and keep calling for Hezbollah to be “disarmed”. It’s the same in Gaza - civilians are being pounded but Hamas is still fighting. The IDF are still taking casualties in ground operations. Hamas is even taking unexploded heavy bombs that Israel dropped that didn’t go off. They just released a video of them luring the IDF troops into a building and then detonating one of those bombs …. You don’t have to guess the result. Those things are available outside of the western media.
Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire to spare civilians in Lebanon - but their weapons are still there. They are a militia - they are not Lebanon. Syria falling does affect their pipeline though.
