Why do people hate Jews is the million dollar question.
My position over the years has shifted but here is what I came up with.

-People are pretty much all the same. Human nature is such that we all have built in jealousy and hate, it is just a component of our makeup. So hatred of the Jews is not based on reality it is based on a built in human need to have someone to blame for all the bad stuff.

- It goes the laws of nature to single out one group as acting in unison towards a certain goal. Like Jews are satanic and are all working to take over the world and enslave goyim.
Life is too random for conspiracies. It is just impossible, as a physical law wether subatomic or astrological. The physical world does not act in unison and neither do humans. It would be like blaming the Jews for climate change.

- The idea of the Goyim vs. the Jews that Gilad plays on is a distortion of so much time and history and is too long to go over in this comment section. What goyim meant in the bronze age and what it means now is spread over thousands of years ever changing.

Were the Jews special and chosen and set themselves apart, to be superior, or were the people around them acting sub human and they needed to stay away and set strict rules of engagement?
Which came first.? Most people want to fit in, I am sure it is both. But no one really knows. It is a mystery to Jews as well.

- I find most things in life to be random. Like how come the North won the civil war?. Or why didn't Germany eviscerate the British army at Dunkirk? How could we have dropped an atomic bomb on a country? Why are Jews in finance, because that is what they did during the middle ages when Christians did not want to deal with money. It was not part of any plot. I think they would have preferred and wanted to be farmers or artisans. They had no choice.

Jew hatred is a mystery wrapped in an enigma.. No matter what the Jews do there will always people like Gilad who come up with fancy explanations to help out the crazy conspiracy people and Neo Nazis. He never comes up with a solution. Like if we all denounced Judaism, or apologized. I guess he wants Israel to go down. Ironically that is why Israel is there. Ever lasting Jew hatred.

Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam leader, stated in his Feb. 3 news conference that my unpublished 1977 dissertation for the University of California, Los Angeles, on the history of black-Jewish relations agreed “with everything we said” in “The Secret Relationship Between Black and Jews.” That anonymous Nation of Islam book claims that the Atlantic slave trade was “dominated” by Jewish merchants (who, according to the authoritative Jacob Rader Marcus, accounted for “considerably less than 2 percent” of the traffic).

Mr. Farrakhan’s is the age-old anti-Semitic technique of distorting the work of Jewish scholars (and Jewish religious literature) to defame Jews. His animus against me is for writing for the Simon Siesenthal Center “Farrakhan’s Reign of Historical Error,” exposing “The Secret Relationship” as hate propaganda masquerading as history.

My doctoral thesis – while unflinchingly documenting the involvement of Jews in the slave trade – came to the same conclusion as every other reputable work of scholarship: that in the overall scheme of things, it was extremely marginal...

The fateful linkage between slave status and black skin as part of a divine curse was first made centuries later by Islamic writers. They used it to rationalize the Arab slave trade, which, according to the best estimates, carried more Africans in bondage north across the Sahara and east over the Red Sea (14.4 million between the years 60 and 1900) than were shipped west in European ships in the four centuries of the Atlantic slave trade.

Mr. Farrakhan also claimed that “75 percent of the slaves owned in the South were owned by Jewish slave-holders.” In 1860, there were about 15,000 Southern Jews and 4 million slaves. If 3 million (75 percent) were so owned, this would mean 200 slaves for every Jewish man, woman and child, or 1,000 slaves for every Jewish head of household. Jews owned only a fraction of 1 percent – thousands, not millions – of the enslaved population.

 

Indeed, from 1709-1807, there are 934 recorded voyages in which Rhode Island merchants were responsible for procuring 106,000 slaves. Now, Jews arrived in Newport as early as 1658. On the eve of the Revolution, they were estimated to be around thirty families. According to historical records used (e.g. naval office shipping lists, censuses, tax records) that identified merchants and planters as Jewish, there were 347 slave ships sent to Africa by Rhode Island slave traders from 1761-1774, with 21 being funded by Aaron Lopez, a Portuguese Jew. That means 326 voyages were underwritten by non-Jews during this time frame. Of course, Jews played a role in the peddling of human flesh. The extent in this particular case is nominal compared to other ethnic groups.
 

A few Jews even became prominent slave owning planters in the Old South…as successful as these Jewish Southerners were by Southern standards, they represent a very tiny percentage of the 20,000 Jews residing in the antebellum South who could, or would, ever aspire to own a slave. About 5,000 Jews owned one or more slaves – about 1.25 percent of all the slaveowners in the antebellum South…For those Jews who did own slaves, the records demonstrate that they were not significantly different from other masters in their treatments of their bondsmen.
 

“To keep matters in perspective, we should note that in the American South, in 1830, there were only 120 Jews among the 45,000 slaveholders owning twenty or more slaves and only twenty Jews among the 12,000 slaveholders owning fifty or more slaves. Even if each member of this Jewish slaveholding elite had owned 714 slaves—a ridiculously high figure in the American South—the total number would only equal the 100,000 slaves owned by black and colored planters in St. Domingue in 1789, on the eve of the Haitian Revolution…Of course, some Jews were involved in the slave trade. Every European Western nation was. There were also some regions in which the slave trade was more accessible to Jews—Rhode Island, Newport, Holland, to name a few striking examples. The Dutch Jews weren’t persecuted, so there were quite a few who were involved.”
 

In order to assess such a claim, one must resort to details. Martin’s purported actuality [the 75% statistic] is wrong on its face if applied to the “white population” of the United States “as a whole,” because in 1830 only a handful of white northerners still owned slaves. Jews were concentrated in the North, and they constituted a very small minority there. Even if the statement is taken as applying only to the states in the American South that had not adopted gradual emancipation laws, it remains badly flawed. A careful and honest footnote in The Secret Relationship reveals that “Jewish scholars” had concluded that Jews in the South lived mostly in towns and cities. Neither this book nor Martin’s explains the significance of this fact. In actuality, slave ownership was much more common in southern urban areas than in the southern countryside. The relatively high proportion of Jewish slaveholding was a function of the concentration of Jews in cities and towns, not of their descent or religion. It is also the case that urban slaveholders of whatever background owned fewer slaves on average than rural slaveholders, including those on large plantations. Thus the proportion of slaveholders has never been an accurate measure of the social or economic importance of slaveholding, unless it is assessed on a broadly regional or state-by-state basis. In this instance, as in so many others, the statistical data do not stand up and cry out their own true significance.

Speaking to the issue of slave commerce as capitalism is not "Hasbara." Hasbara is Zionist propaganda diminishing the culpability of Israel in it's occupation. I offered no such thing and while I certainly have read more deeply about the origins of Zionism than you, my views on that tribal movement were not part of my post.

I never once refuted that Jews sold slaves and did not need to, to make my point that slave commerce's practitioners were unethical capitalists. YOU, in your bigoted freakout, ran right past the point I was making, so you could flip out over demons of your imagination. Another reason that I was bounced from ZeroHedge, was that I dared to mention the involvement of Jews in each phase of the slave trade. The financier providing funds for the ships to set sail, to the funds for the buyer in Africa, to the auction houses, and the landowners in the New World.

It was Jews all the way down.

That same year the “revised and definitive” edition of his book appeared. In it, he did not use the expression “consensus-mind reading” but wrote:

In the final analysis, the destruction of the Jews was not so much a product of laws and commands as it was a matter of spirit, of shared comprehension, of consonance and synchronization [7].
