RSSImagine that! A guy who is named after an Old Testament “saint” would have the gall to defend Israel!
I'll just use this opportunity to repeat what I've written elsewhere:
They are the people who killed our God, and have been attempting to kill us for two thousand years.
Buddha, as an avatar of God? Don’t make me laugh. And don’t even try to group Buddhism together with other monotheistic religions because Buddhism is nothing like them. You see, in true Buddhism philosophical teachings, you don’t need a savior, you’re your own savior. Buddhism can best be understood as a righteous way to live one’s life. There’s no need to submit to any higher power for this way of life.
For 1% of the Buddhist population, yes.

According to Hinduism, Lord Buddha is an avatar (9th avatar) of Lord Vishnu.

On the part of the US, it may be more a change of tactics rather than any change in strategic aims.
All the nay-sayers (liberal or neo-Marxists) have been accusing Putin of caving in to pretty much everything everywhere, yet it is the USA which had to eat crow, drop all its preconditions and ask for a summit.
The take away is that it would be suicidal for the US and Russia to get into a war - but that China (despite its best efforts) is still a long way behind on nuclear deterrence. Hence the possible conclusion that China could be "Iraqed" in a conventional war.
Deployed Warheads*

Other Warheads**

*‘Deployed warheads’ refers to warheads placed on missiles or located on bases with operational forces.
**‘Other warheads’ refers to stored or reserve warheads and retired warheads awaiting dismantlement.
In order to be “Iraqed”, mainland China will have to be occupied by a US Expeditionary Force. Please kindly explain how the US Army can pull this off in a conventional war. There are few truisms in war, but Bernard Montgomery sure can teach us two:
1- Do not fight a land war in China
2- Do not march on Moscow
Iraq is the wrong example. There's a lot of background and planning to their actions. For example PNAC (Project For The New American Century) foreshadowed 9/11 which launched the Global War On Terror and the destruction of the Middle East.A key document in their China conflict planning could be the RAND Corporation report (2016) "War with China: Thinking Through The Unthinkable"https://www.rand.org/content/dam/rand/pubs/research_reports/RR1100/RR1140/RAND_RR1140.pdfIn part of its summary it says,

This suggests that the idea would not be to invade China, but rather to shut down ship traffic in the South China Sea and blockade it.Replies: @Alden
• Although a war would harm both economies, damage to China’s would be far worse (perhaps 25–35 percent of GDP after 68 War with China: Thinking Through the Unthinkable one year). Because much of the Western Pacific would become a war zone, China’s trade with the region and the rest of the world would decline substantially. China’s loss of seaborne energy supplies would be especially damaging.
Re-absorbing Ukraine into Russia proper is tantamount to economic suicide. Putin is too shrewd for that. What he most certainly meant is that the current Zelensky government will fall, and another, preferably pro-Russian one comes to power.
Does anyone have any idea about Anglin’s website?
I tried that and got an error message: NSURLErrorNotConnectedToInternet
Framing the Ukraine conflict in entirety of military and ignoring the economic consequences is quite frankly, disingenuous and insulting.
While the 1100+ Western sanctions didn’t collapse Russia’s economy today, in 2016 it’d been a certainty. Russia’s economy was still very much dependent on the West back then, plus her relationships with other non-Western countries weren’t as strong then. Asking Putin to save the Donbass in 2016 was akin to committing economic suicide for Russia.
While I enjoyed the author’s previous entries, he’s starting to sound much like a defeatist 6th columnist now.
