Regarding the Zionist/Jewish attitude to the Holocaust, I would flag an event that occurred in Jerusalem in April 1976, when the South African Prime Minister John Vorster was invited to Yad Vashem while on an official visit to Israel, where he paid homage to the victims of the Nazi Holocaust. Vorster himself had been interned during WWII as a Nazi sympathizer; a non-issue for his Jewish hosts, including the late Yitzhak Rabin, apparently. That Vorster oversaw an apartheid regime that was officially racist, indeed white supremacist, was also a non-issue. Two months later, after black schoolchildren were slaughtered by South African security forces during a protest in the Soweto Township against the paucity of resources being devoted to their education, inter alia, it did not inhibit the Jewish state from establishing closer economic and military ties with Pretoria. It certainly was not something that spurred the Israeli leadership and their opinion-maker flunkeys to invoke the Nazi Holocaust.

Noam Chomsky has described policies put forward (e.g., U.S.-Israeli peace proposals advanced over the decades to address/solve the Question of Palestine) that are intended to fail, that “succeed” by in fact failing. Might these be the driving purpose behind a series of futile non-victorious Middle Eastern wars the U.S. has fought? Consider that sloppy, lumbering way Israel went about invading southern Lebanon in 2006. Their forces got stuck and bottlenecked in the mountain passes there. A small group of 3000 Hizbollah fighters were able to play havoc with the Israelis’ invasion plan and hold off the the IDF units for 34 days. In many instances, Israeli shelling of civilian areas caused death and injury to just the ordinary Lebanese that included children and which did a lot of damage to the IDF’s reputation as the “most moral” army. In the end, the IDF retreated back into Israel, taking scores of dead and wounded IDF soldiers with them. The whole campaign was a bust and Israel’s reputation for military prowess got a big black eye. Since then, Hizbollah has honed its own military abilities by fighting and defeating the crazed ISIS fighters in Syria, while Israeli forces have mostly fought against the weaker Hamas units.

I recall that “anti-Semite” Richard Nixon (who tag-teamed diplomatically w/ the onetime Jewish refugee from Nazi Germany, Henry Kissinger, and saved Israel during the ’73 Yom Kippur War) getting all hot & bothered under those bright TV lights while discussing his finances (“I am not a crook!”) and Watergate and what-not at press conferences. That’s how Harvard legal eagle Allan Dershowitz comes across nowadays. All hot & bothered, sweaty and itchy, enough to actually owe to preferring to keep his underwear on during massages, while in the next breath also professing to actually not really enjoy getting massages anyway.
