RSSThank you. I was thinking the same thing about both photographs. If there had been ANY American slavery in the early 20th Century, my grandparents, who told me innumerable stories about their early lives and their ancestors, surely would have mentioned it from time to time. It also seems implausible to me that there could have been a conspiracy to cover up American white slavery in the 19th Century that was so vast and effective that no author of that time wrote about it. There WAS white slavery happening at that time, but it was happening in Northern Africa, by Muslim slave masters who captured people at sea or stole them from coastal villages all over Europe, and the US went to war to put a stop to it: it was called the Barbary Wars. But if there are as many records of white slavery in America, as the author claims, let him cite this original source material so that we can examine it.
