One of the hallmarks of totalitarianism is mass conformity to a psychotic official narrative. Not a regular official narrative, like the “Cold War” or the “War on Terror” narratives. A totally delusional official narrative that has little or no connection to reality and that is contradicted by a preponderance of facts.

Nazism and Stalinism are the classic examples, but the phenomenon is better observed in cults and other sub-cultural societal groups. Numerous examples will spring to mind: the Manson family, Jim Jones’ People’s Temple, the Church of Scientology, Heavens Gate, etc., each with its own psychotic official narrative: Helter Skelter, Christian Communism, Xenu and the Galactic Confederacy, and so on.

Looking in from the dominant culture (or back through time in the case of the Nazis), the delusional nature of these official narratives is glaringly obvious to most rational people. What many people fail to understand is that to those who fall prey to them (whether individual cult members or entire totalitarian societies) such narratives do not register as psychotic. On the contrary, they feel entirely normal. Everything in their social “reality” reifies and reaffirms the narrative, and anything that challenges or contradicts it is perceived as an existential threat.

These narratives are invariably paranoid, portraying the cult as threatened or persecuted by an evil enemy or antagonistic force which only unquestioning conformity to the cult’s ideology can save its members from. It makes little difference whether this antagonist is mainstream culture, body thetans, counter-revolutionaries, Jews, or a virus. The point is not the identity of the enemy. The point is the atmosphere of paranoia and hysteria the official narrative generates, which keeps the cult members (or the society) compliant.

In addition to being paranoid, these narratives are often internally inconsistent, illogical, and … well, just completely ridiculous. This does not weaken them, as one might suspect. Actually, it increases their power, as it forces their adherents to attempt to reconcile their inconsistency and irrationality, and in many cases utter absurdity, in order to remain in good standing with the cult. Such reconciliation is of course impossible, and causes the cult members’ minds to short circuit and abandon any semblance of critical thinking, which is precisely what the cult leader wants.

Moreover, cult leaders will often radically change these narratives for no apparent reason, forcing their cult members to abruptly forswear (and often even denounce as “heresy”) the beliefs they had previously been forced to profess, and behave as if they had never believed them, which causes their minds to further short circuit, until they eventually give up even trying to think rationally, and just mindlessly parrot whatever nonsensical gibberish the cult leader fills their heads with.

Also, the cult leader’s nonsensical gibberish is not as nonsensical as it may seem at first. Most of us, upon encountering such gibberish, assume that the cult leader is trying to communicate, and that something is very wrong with his brain. The cult leader isn’t trying to communicate. He is trying to disorient and control the listener’s mind. Listen to Charlie Manson “rapping.” Not just to what he says, but how he says it. Note how he sprinkles bits of truth into his stream of free-associated nonsense, and his repetitive use of thought-terminating clichés, described by Robert J. Lifton as follows:

“The language of the totalist environment is characterized by the thought-terminating cliché. The most far-reaching and complex of human problems are compressed into brief, highly selective, definitive-sounding phrases, easily memorized and easily expressed. They become the start and finish of any ideological analysis.” — Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism: : A Study of “Brainwashing” in China, 1961

If all this sounds familiar, good. Because the same techniques that most cult leaders use to control the minds of the members of their cults are used by totalitarian systems to control the minds of entire societies: Milieu Control, Loaded Language, Sacred Science, Demand for Purity, and other standard mind-control techniques. It can happen to pretty much any society, just as anyone can fall prey to a cult, given the right set of circumstances.

It is happening to most of our societies right now. An official narrative is being implemented. A totalitarian official narrative. A totally psychotic official narrative, no less delusional than that of the Nazis, or the Manson family, or any other cult.

Most people cannot see that it is happening, for the simple reason that it is happening to them. They are literally unable to recognize it. The human mind is extremely resilient and inventive when it is pushed past its limits. Ask anyone who has struggled with psychosis or has taken too much LSD. We do not recognize when we are going insane. When reality falls apart completely, the mind will create a delusional narrative, which appears just as “real” as our normal reality, because even a delusion is better than the stark raving terror of utter chaos.

This is what totalitarians and cult leaders count on, and exploit to implant their narratives in our minds, and why actual initiation rituals (as opposed to purely symbolic rituals) begin by attacking the subject’s mind with terror, pain, physical exhaustion, psychedelic drugs, or some other means of obliterating the subject’s perception of reality. Once that is achieved, and the subject’s mind starts desperately trying to construct a new narrative to make sense out of the cognitive chaos and psychological trauma it is undergoing, it is relatively easy to “guide” that process and implant whatever narrative you want, assuming you have done your homework.

And this is why so many people — people who are able to easily recognize totalitarianism in cults and foreign countries — cannot perceive the totalitarianism that is taking shape now, right in front of their faces (or, rather, right inside their minds). Nor can they perceive the delusional nature of the official “Covid-19” narrative, no more than those in Nazi Germany were able to perceive how completely delusional their official “master race” narrative was. Such people are neither ignorant nor stupid. They have been successfully initiated into a cult, which is essentially what totalitarianism is, albeit on a societal scale.

Their initiation into the Covidian Cult began in January, when the medical authorities and corporate media turned on The Fear with projections of hundreds of millions of deaths and fake photos of people dropping dead in the streets. The psychological conditioning has continued for months. The global masses have been subjected to a constant stream of propaganda, manufactured hysteria, wild speculation, conflicting directives, exaggerations, lies, and tawdry theatrical effects. Lockdowns. Emergency field hospitals and morgues. The singing-dancing NHS staff. Death trucks. Overflowing ICUs. Dead Covid babies. Manipulated statistics. Goon squads. Masks. And all the rest of it.

Eight months later, here we are. The Head of the Health Emergencies Program at the WHO has basically confirmed an IFR of 0.14%, approximately the same as the seasonal flu. And here are the latest survival rate estimates from the Center for Disease Control:

  • Age 0-19 … 99.997%
  • Age 20-49 … 99.98%
  • Age 50-69 … 99.5%
  • Age 70+ … 94.6%

The “science” argument is officially over. An increasing number of doctors and medical experts are breaking ranks and explaining how the current mass hysteria over “cases” (which now includes perfectly healthy people) is essentially meaningless propaganda, for example, in this segment on ARD, one of the big mainstream German TV channels.

And then there is the existence of Sweden, and other countries which are not playing ball with the official Covid-19 narrative, which makes a mockery of the ongoing hysteria.

I’m not going to go on debunking the narrative. The point is, the facts are all available. Not from “conspiracy theorist” websites. From mainstream outlets and medical experts. From the Center for Fucking Disease Control.

Which does not matter in the least, not to the members of the Covidian Cult. Facts do not matter to totalitarians and cult members. What matters is loyalty to the cult or the party.

Which means we have a serious problem, those of us to whom facts still matter, and who have been trying to use them to convince the Covidian cultists that they are wrong about the virus … for going on eight months at this point.

While it is crucial to continue reporting the facts and sharing them with as many people as possible — which is becoming increasingly difficult due to the censorship of alternative and social media — it is important to accept what we are up against. What we are up against is not a misunderstanding or a rational argument over scientific facts. It is a fanatical ideological movement. A global totalitarian movement … the first of its kind in human history.

It isn’t national totalitarianism, because we’re living in a global capitalist empire, which isn’t ruled by nation-states, but rather, by supranational entities and the global capitalist system itself. And thus, the cult/culture paradigm has been inverted. Instead of the cult existing as an island within the dominant culture, the cult has become the dominant culture, and those of us who have not joined the cult have become the isolated islands within it.

I wish I could be more optimistic, and maybe offer some sort of plan of action, but the only historical parallel I can think of is how Christianity “converted” the pagan world … which doesn’t really bode so well for us. While you’re sitting at home during the “second wave” lockdowns, you might want to brush up on that history.

I smell the coming of Covid Museums any-every-where to “bear witness” to the dangers of pandemics so that “never again” can we allow another catastrophic Pandemic to happen. Glory be to “safe and effective” Vaccines for ever and ever; Amen!
What a breath of fresh air is that German TV documentary linked to by CJ – a very thorough and rational and honest and succinct summary of the Covid Pandemic.

    Good news?

I’ve been wearing a hand painted [by me] , in large bright red letters:” COVID -19 IS A SCAM” , black tee-shirt and matching hand-painted mask, on a more or less daily basis for the last 8 weeks. [The mask I only wear when I have to enter a store with an idiotic “masks are mandatory” policy.]

To date, much to my surprise, 38 people have stopped me and said ” I agree” or similar, and only 4 have said “you’re wrong” or similar, [one large Australian male halfwit has been the only person threatening me with violence to date – he got really mad- I just gave him the finger and didn’t argue- eventually he fucked off.

Of the agreers, perhaps the most notable was a cop who was driving by me on a main road as I waited for a bus. He slowed to a stop and I thought “Oh-oh, what’s he going to book me for, no mask?”, then he lowered his passenger side window [he wasn’t wearing a mask, as required locally], and said “I agree”. I said “Huh?”. He said “your shirt, I agree with the message”. I was shocked and happy at the same time.

My conclusion: there are many out there , [perhaps a majority?]who know that the whole thing is a scam, they just don’t let everyone know. It’s the silent majority phenomena all over again, perhaps.

  6. C.J. Hopkins: “… the only historical parallel I can think of is how Christianity “converted” the pagan world … which doesn’t really bode so well for us.”

Yes, that’s it. The death cult known as Christianity enveloped the Western world long ago. We’ve all been living in it all our lives, particularly Americans. Corpses come back to life? Of course they do. That’s what everyone thinks. LOL. Jesus made things appear out of thin air? It must be true. And of course, it’s necessary to die to attain eternal life. Jesus himself said so, and it’s so plainly true the point hardly needs to be emphasized.

But rather than attributing all of this to a totalitarian conspiracy, I attribute it to human nature. The truth is, the vast majority of people are unreasoning conformist assholes who enjoy inflicting their petty tyrannies on each other. The more nonsensical they are, the greater their pleasure. As Sartre so aptly put it, “L’enfer c’est les autres” — Hell is other people. This death cult includes the innovation of mind control, which at the time was unique to Christianity.

My current theory, admittedly speculative, is that the group mind of the West, as it careens to an apocalypse of world-ending proportions, is still deeply in the thrall of the Christian death cult. It wants to die, and is doing what it can to bring this about, because only when the world dies can the crucified rabbi return. Owing to the culture Christianity has spawned, even the so-called atheists have this expectation buried deep in their subconscious.

  11. Just also be aware of the main objectives of all cults has been to get cult members to hand money over to them, hand control over to them, to work often in slave labor for them, to increase the power of the cult leaders and to decrease everyone else’s power as well as decrease everyone else’s autonomy, and liberty. Autonomy is the largest threat to cults. An autonomous individual could possibly convince cult members that they could leave the cult, causing a chain re-action. Cults have engaged in ouright illegal activity in order to maintain control over cult members.

To me it seems that the global power structure is planning on WW3, and both world wars would have taken a considerable degree of cult like control to have most of the world engaged in war.

The news shows have made insane and corrupt behavior go viral.
The partisan media has increased disinformation in America. Many Americans do not recall a time when 24/7 partisan news outlets did not exist because they were not alive. CNN was the first, and was extremely left leaning in its treatment of news coverage as well as its treatment of guests, which was countered with the creation of Fox News, which was also countered with MSNBC.

There was a gradual decrease that happened over the past few decades of news casters or show hosts debating blatant lies made by guests, and guests using evasionary tactics of questions asked by show hosts. The hosts usually do not intervene as they had in the past. The other extreme is the White House Press confrerences where the reporters refuse to stop shouting down the White House spokes person, and the reporters themselves are actually blatantly lying and demanding the the White House spokes person agrees with them, for example the false allegations of Assad using barrel bombs on Syrians, when he was not. They simply will not stop in some cases, and simply refuse to intervene in other cases. I apologize for such a distant example, but I  disconnected my tv because of it because it was literally driving me crazy! Considering that it was also extremely expensive, I just was not going to pay so much money to be tortured to find out was going on in the world, and just by watching it, there was no way to find out what was actually going on in the world because nearly all of it was disinformation.

Since the partisan shows exist, guests and politicians usually only appear on shows that will not intervene when the guests are lying or using evasionary tactics. The politicians and policy makers now have an air of superiority and believe that they are exempt from being questioned for blatant lies, or for refusing to provide direct answers to pertinent questions. This has spilled over into society as a whole. It has made our entire society more dishonest, and it has also made our entire society less likely or incapable of being able to demand the truth and debate policy on its merits. Debating has almost become a lost art in America as a result of partisan news. People are literally shocked when people confront them for lying over the air waves, as if it is their right to just blatantly lie about current events and they demand that those that are telling the truth be censored, or even worse, imprisoned like Assange, Manning, Schulte, and many others.

These individuals are truly narcissists and believe that they are exempt from criticism and the world literally cannot go on this way. They contradict themselves constantly and are not questioned about it. Anthony Fauci is a perfect example who said himself in a New England Journal of Medicine article that covid-19 would be similar in transmission and fatality to the flu. In another medical journal article, Anthony Fauci said that Hydroxychloroquine is an effective treatment for covid-19.

Does anyone seriously believe that the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC do not know what Anthony Fauci is writing in medical journals?!

Does anyone seriously believe that physicians, university professors, Bill Gates, and the politicians do not know what Anthony Fauci is saying in medical journals when they are so suddenly obsessed with Anthony Fauci and covid that they are setting policies of how their governments and institutions are operating over covid?

    The media has failed America.

While I agree with Hopkins that a cult-like sort of medico-fascism has taken over the Anglosphere based on propaganda and total control of the narrative, it is interesting that ARD, which is equivalent to BBC or CBC, is starting to go off the reservation. While the Covid rules change daily and the justification for them also, the justification for what Hitler believed were laid out for all to see and in hindsight a lot of his ideas have proven to be fortuitous. Naziism is the only belief or political system that is illegal today in many countries and anyone who follows or professes such ideology is persecuted. People in power do not ban belief systems that are based on false premises. They only ban belief systems that show that the emperor has not clothes.

For many years my morning routine was, immediately upon awakening, to reach for the liquor bottle and take a drink. I would promptly vomit it up. Then I would take another drink and throw that one up too. Repeat as needed, until one drink finally stayed down. The number of drinks I threw up before one stayed down was an indication of what kind of day it was going to be.

I thought that was normal. I thought everyone did that but didn’t admit it. It was several months after I got sober before I really realized how utterly insane that behavior was.

I see that same kind of denial in the religious mania over mask wearing, plexiglass barriers, “social distancing” and the like that I see today. It is bizarre behavior in reaction to a virus with which I was infected and which made me less ill than a bout of annual flu. But people are no more open to discussing it than they are to doubting a religion.

    1. Find a way to find one another in real life among our towns/regions (not just online) and organize for mutual support and community life.

Viruses, “germs”, bacteria, parasite eggs, fungi, etc. are, and have always been, everywhere, all of the time. Yet the vast majority of us go to bed without any infection of any kind, and wake up the same way. We don’t even know (or care) that our body is dealing with all this stuff, 24/7, to keep us upright.

Yet some people do get sick sometimes and in our braindead world 99% of the population wants to always blame something “out there” for their infectious illnesses. Very, very few are inclined to look at the possibility that these infections are very much internally generated, with the “pathogen” only an agent. There’s no cure for that refusal to look inward.

  26. The author is spot on with his analysis. Though I am not a learned man, over the years I have developed a keen sense of discernment. Rare is the case of an event, movement or public personality that I have completely, or even partially, misread. The Covid-19 upheaval, and the governmental overreaction (at all levels) is no exception. In very early March, 2020, when lockdowns were first being implemented, my initial reaction was “This is a ruse, and we’re being played like never before.” I hadn’t the time yet to fully comprehend what all was behind this hysterical charade, but I instinctively knew it had nothing whatsoever to do with safeguarding public health. Well, eight months in and absolutely nothing has come to pass that would alter my original presumption in the slightest. If anything, I am even more skeptical and have grown undeniably more disheartened in my fellow citizenry. So many that, up until this manufactured crisis was forced upon us, I considered levelheaded and grounded in reality, have shown themselves to be no more than easily manipulated lemmings guided by irrational fears, willing to acquiesce to the most stultifying, authoritarian dictates all for the sake of “safety.” Speaking of which, if I hear one more person say “stay safe” I may just have to disabuse them of that notion.

No – he hates documentaries that attempt to educate the poor, brainwashed British and American masses in the reality of what the Second World War was all about, and he dismisses such a towering titan of a man with his tawdry little remark regarding veganism, that “Weltführer Hitler was the same.” Is he anti-Christian? He loudly proclaims as much, but he appears to offer nothing but contempt for any alternative route towards Western or Aryan spirituality.

Adunai, at my best guess, is a precocious but not very worldly-wise adolescent. Okay – he might be in his early twenties. Given time, however, he might well blossom into something more useful than his present role, which is as a species of automaton, which mechanically and dutifully spews forth bile at any and every mention of Aryan decline and the concomitant attempts by them (us) to arrest that decline.

Because logic is beyond narrow-minded illiterates like you who the only thing they read is Unz and then let them whip you into frenzies about whatever they want to whip you into a frenzy all about. And your kind always think you have come to your opinions through free will. Hardehar.

For your information, my implication was that all you hoaxers practice the technique known as slanting: you only give information favorable to your case, ignoring unfavorable evidence.

For instance, giving the death statistics and then implying that that’s all there is to a disease: to die from it or not to die from it.

THe omitted information is information supporting internal organ damage from coronavirus. Of which there is plenty. I thought, in fact, that everybody knew about internal organ damage, that it was common knowledge, and that, thus, I didn’t need to “prove” that the sky is blue or something like that.

But just for idiots like you, here is just one of the many studies (not to mention all the anecdotal evidence).
    https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/fullarticle/2768915

On the other hand, collecting data on coronavirus internal organ damage is much much more difficult and fraught than collecting data on deaths. And thus, I was implying that the commenter had no idea whatsoever about coronavirus, since he knew nothing whatsoever about internal organ damage as one of it’s symptoms, including the fact that it is difficult for scientists to assess just how bad it is.

The other implication being that, if you get it, you may not die from it, or show bad symptoms immediately, and yet ten years down the road, you have a-fib, or liver failure, etc. etc. etc.

So: to summarize: many studies show internal organ damage from CV. All intelligent people know this. But cumulative data is extremely hard to get. If you avoid even talking about these facts, then you are, wait for it, lying with the truth. Using slanting, a typical rhetorical ploy of the troll, the politician, and others who have some dumbass agenda or other.

I assume that you’re referring to permanent internal organ damage caused by influenza.
“Influenza A virus (IAV) is a genus of the family Orthomyxoviridae that contains a negative-sense, single-stranded, segmented RNA genome and is categorized into subtypes based on the expression of hemagglutinin (HA; H1–H18) and neuraminidase (NA; N1–N11) on the surface of the viral envelope.1 Seasonal flu, which is caused by different subtypes of IAV, usually leads to the death of half a million people each year.
Severe IAV, involving either seasonal or pandemic influenza virus, infects the upper respiratory tracts and induces acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).5 Clinically, the characteristic alveolar changes of influenza virus pneumonia include capillary thrombosis, focal necrosis and hyperemia of the alveolar wall, inflammatory infiltration, the formation of hyaline membranes and pulmonary edema.6 Small vessel thrombosis, hemorrhage and diffuse alveolar damage are observed in severe influenza pneumonia, indicating disordered coagulation.6, 7 Severe IAV also causes multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC)”

That article relates to heart failure and heart disease in Covid-19 patients. It would be interesting to know the age of those covered in the reviewed studies. If they were mostly elderly, as are those most impacted by Covid-19 in general, then that would not be unusual. One would expect a bout of any serious illness in such patients to impact on the heart, and anyway as the heart and other internal organs weaken with age it may be hard to point to a specific cause – like say and 82 year old recovers from Covid-19 and then dies of a heart attack the next week or month. Or could even the respirators be to blame for some of this?

I would be more interested to hear what people think about the reliability of the test used to diagnose Covid-19 as there seems to be some controversy about it.

Sweden and the U.S. are unique in their failure to reduce coronavirus mortality rates as the pandemic progressed”
    https://time.com/5899432/sweden-coronovirus-disaster/
The article provides mortality rates across three time frames: from the start of the pandemic, since May 10, and since June 7. But Sweden’s mortality slammed into the ground in the first week of July, and they in fact had six total deaths in the first week of October.
Time Magazine is not fit for use in the outhouse, but the deliberate obfuscation around the real course of “Covid” in Sweden is one of the more pathetic emissions I have seen from the Mighty Wurlitzer in recent days.

  38. @obwandiyag

As always it’s you cultists who can tell nothing but slant.

The link you give opens up proclaiming that it deals with patients who had pre-existing conditions (exactly as we skeptics always point out) and proceeds to admit that pneumonia was the clinical cause of death, thus beclouding as always the real causality of “being positive for covid-19” amid the welter of other causalities going into a death. As the CDC itself admitted in August, only 6% of the “covid deaths” in the US so touted by you liars could really be clearly attributed to covid. The rest are overdetermined and would require real medical forensic work to figure out, something your terror-lockdown campaign abrogated from day one along with every other pre-existing tenet and protocol of medical procedure for diagnoses and logging deaths.

Along with Mike I also strongly suspect most or all of these patients were elderly, and probably had other serious pre-morbidities along with their pre-existing cardiac condition.

I do gain confidence from the evident lack of confidence on the part of you wingnuts. All indications are your fascist agenda is riding high, the vast majority seem to support you or at least are willing to obey, you seem to be heading toward complete victory, and yet at the slightest objection you start frothing at the mouth.

Where those who seem to have the overwhelming preponderance of power are so shrill and demented in trying to shout down dissent, that always indicates an underlying bad conscience and lack of confidence in the future of their agenda. Thanks for providing another example of that.

And to correct you on this – “narrow-minded illiterates like you who the only thing they read is Unz and then let them whip you into frenzies about whatever they want to whip you into a frenzy all about. And your kind always think you have come to your opinions through free will.” – On the contrary I’ve been writing against globalism, corporate rule and technocracy for over twelve years now, as you’d know if you clicked on my link.

On the contrary, it’s brain-dead authoritarian followers like you whose entire universe is dictated by what the TV commands. That’s the only way it was ever possible to believe such lunacy as that covid is any kind of special event at all, let alone one that requires the imposition of the most extreme and total corporate-technocratic totalitarian regime and the permanent destruction of all that humanity ever has been.

SARS-COV-2 itself is no real danger. Humanity has endured much worse many times, and is used to taking this mild level of epidemic in stride. But the terror-lockdown assault using covid as a pretext, and the global death cult which has cancerously metastasized from the terrorist propaganda, are a clear and present danger to the future of humanity itself.

Not a regular official narrative, like the “Cold War” or the “War on Terror” narratives.

I don’t know what you mean by “regular official narrative”, and I don’t see an equivalence between these two. The Cold War, 40 years of containment of Communism around the world.which would have given all of us some serious Totalitarianism, was real. It was won by what was then the good side. Well, I say “won”, but it’s not really over, as we can see with the antifa Commies, and as noted early by Peak Stupidity, it’s about that time when the Commies are crawling out of the woodwork again.

The “War on Terror” is actually very much the same kind of a panic-fest as this Kung Flu hysteria. I truly don’t want to start a 9/11-what-really-happened thread here, so lets just put this with the assumption that the official story is true. Because the Moslems did it, we must regularly and forever violate the 4th Amendment at airports and events, whenever anyone damn well pleases. This is even when the American Feral Gov’t has let in something like twice as many Saudis and such into our country as before 9/11. Yet, we have to search up the pants of American Grannies and 2 year-olds because, “you never know. There is no profile of a terrorist. Better to be safe than sorry.” This is forever.

I’ve talked to people myself in the TSA line who told me “well, you know, some bad people ruined it for the rest of us.” Is that not pretty close to “well, some old people have been dying in nursing homes, so, yeah, we’d better all wear these masks, better safe than sorry… well, I guess, till they tell us otherwise”? Does the Constitution only apply when no one has ruined it for the rest of us, as in a kindergarten? Isn’t this country starting to resemble a kindergarten?

At the airport, you’ll now, instead of just hearing “the TSA requires” and “per TSA rules” over the speakers, the same type of thing with “the CDC recommends” and “so WE require …” between the other ones. See a comparison between the “War on Terror”/TSA business and this new War on Germs/CDC all combined at airport terminals to make life even more miserable in COVID / TSA twin peaks of stupidity. No. SARS CoV-2 transmits less efficiently than influenza viruses. At least according to WHO, which seems to be the source of most “information” driving policy.
“First, COVID-19 does not transmit as efficiently as influenza, from the data we have so far.
With influenza, people who are infected but not yet sick are major drivers of transmission, which does not appear to be the case for COVID-19.”
    https://www.who.int/dg/speeches/detail/who-director-general-s-opening-remarks-at-the-media-briefing-on-covid-19—3-march-2020

How this jibes with masking hundreds of millions of uninfected people escapes me, but that’s another subject.

With regard to IFR, it’s a fantasy number because nobody has any real grasp of the true numbers of people infected. But here’s two data bases with CFR numbers indicating similar lethality:
    https://www.alberta.ca/stats/covid-19-alberta-statistics.htm
    https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/9044e65d-a97e-43cb-8357-9c890422f069/resource/dcd1cc27-57c2-4cf4-8078-3869f19b6390/download/health-influenza-summary-report-2018-2019.pdf

Severe outcome rates for Covid and influenza are similar, although Covid is lower for hospital and ICU case rate. But people in long-term care who would never be tested in other years are being tested for Covid, complicating a comparison of fatality rates.

Corona is a chronic disease. It attacks internal organs and resides in them, just like a raft of other chronic diseases.

And you, like all the rest of them, don’t want to deal with the main points:

    A. Death statistics tell us nothing whatsoever about internal organ damage.

    B. It is hard to nearly impossible at this time to collect internal organ damage statistics, for obvious reasons.

    C. Therefore, whinging on about death statistics ignores the elephant in the room.

There is plenty of evidence, including the article I showed you, that shows that coronavirus causes internal organ damage. This particular article has nothing to do with pre-morbidities or the age of the patient. Sure they were.
“After Hitler had spoken, Krupp von Bohlen expressed the support of the assembled industrialists and bankers in the concrete form of a three-million-mark political fund. It turned out to be more than enough to acquire power, because 600,000 marks remained unexpended after the election.

Hjalmar Schacht organized this historic meeting. We have previously described Schacht’s links with the United States: his father was cashier for the Berlin Branch of Equitable Assurance, and Hjalmar was intimately involved almost on a monthly basis with Wall Street.

The largest contributor to the fund was I.G. Farben, which committed itself for 80 percent (or 500,000 marks) of the total. Director A. Steinke, of BUBIAG (Braunkohlen-u. Brikett-Industrie A.G.), an I.G. Farben subsidiary, personally contributed another 200,000 marks. In brief, 45 percent of the funds for the 1933 election came from I.G. Farben. If we look at the directors of American I.G. Farben — the U.S. subsidiary of I.G. Farben — we get close to the roots of Wall Street involvement with Hitler. The board of American I.G. Farben at this time contained some of the most prestigious names among American industrialists: Edsel B. Ford of the Ford Motor Company, C.E. Mitchell of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and Walter Teagle, director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey, and President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s Georgia Warm Springs Foundation.

Paul M. Warburg, first director of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and chairman of the Bank of Manhattan, was a Farben director and in Germany his brother Max Warburg was also a director of I.G, Farben. H. A. Metz of I.G. Farben was also a director of the Warburg’s Bank of Manhattan. Finally, Carl Bosch of American I.G. Farben was also a director of Ford Motor Company A-G in Germany.

Three board members of American I.G. Farben were found guilty at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials: Max Ilgner, F. Ter Meer, and Hermann Schmitz. As we have noted, the American board members — Edsel Ford, C. E. Mitchell, Walter Teagle, and Paul Warburg — were not placed on trial at Nuremberg, and so far as the records are concerned, it appears that they were not even questioned about their knowledge of the 1933 Hitler fund.”

Now that the flu season is upon us I have a question if anyone can answer it. Let’s say you catch Covid-19 and are one of those many asymptomatic cases but at the same time catch the seasonal flu and show symptoms to it. Of course you will fail the Covid-19 test but this would normally not be a problem for you if you happen to be an asymptomatic case but then you’ve got these flu symptoms which appear to be very similar to those of Covid-19. Will the doctors know how to treat you and can you expect to receive appropriate treatment for the flu instead of for Covid-19? I guess the treatments for Covid-19 and for the flu are not the same and usually they don’t test you for the flu but prescribe treatment based on symptoms only. Even if they were to test you for the flu as well, which is unlikely, and you fail both the flu and Covid-19 test will they know how to treat you properly, bearing in mind that you may be an asymptomatic Covid-19 case? And if they don’t prescribe appropriate treatment you could end up with serious complications.

As far as wearing a mask… I don’t. It’s hard to tell how many people are in Home Depot, or Walmart, or the large supermarket I grocery shop in with all the isles and shelving. Covid is apparently highly infectious being transmitted by airborne particles of spit, snot, etc. So it would make sense, as a means to reduce the risk of infection, to wear a mask that intercepts aerosol particles. However, here in Canada, by government fiat, N95 masks that would do the job are specifically reserved for healthcare workers, it being beyond the industrial capacity of the great nations of the West, apparently, to crank up N95 mask production to insure everyone can be supplied.

But not to worry. There’s a simpler and better solution, which is simply to hold your breath when using an elevator or being jostled by dim-wits in masks who think that they are invulnerable and therefore free to crowd you as much as they like.

  76. @canspeccy

No, it would make no sense. Even an N95 mask permits 8% of particles to escape. All masks produce smaller size particles, which can enter the lower respiratory tract. The airborne particles ride on the fluid air, when they are <5um in low absolute humidity, so it doesn't matter if you are being accorded the magic 6 feet or not. Cloth masks can vastly increase the spread of particles.
There is no scientific evidence that mask use can prevent transmission of respiratory viruses, and plenty that they cannot.
As a Canadian, you really ought to be aware of this:
"In total, 11 systematic reviews were included and 18 RCTs of 26 444 participants were found, 12 in the community and 6 in health care workers. Included studies had limitations and were deemed at high risk of bias. Overall, the use of masks in the community did not reduce the risk of influenza, confirmed viral respiratory infection, influenzalike illness, or any clinical respiratory infection. However, in the 2 trials that most closely aligned with mask use in real-life community settings, there was a significant risk reduction in influenzalike illness (risk ratio [RR] = 0.83; 95% CI 0.69 to 0.99). The use of masks in households with a sick contact was not associated with a significant infection risk reduction in any analysis, no matter if masks were used by the sick individual, the healthy family members, or both."

Thanks for the reference. The study seems to show that masks might reduce viral spread, although the effect may be confounded by behavioral factors associated with mask use, which is what one might infer from the experience of Sweden, where masks are not widely used but people follow sensible rules of behavior to minimize the risk of viral transmission. Since Sweden has no second wave, it seems likely that they have something close to herd immunity due to a combination of antibody immunity in ca. 10% of the population, T-Cell immunity and behavioral adjustment.

But the Covid crazies don’t want to acknowledge reality perhaps because it could rob them of the unique opportunity for the “Great Reset:”

The studies don’t show a reduction in spread due to masks. There Is no scientific evidence for behaviours stopping transmission because exhalation introduces the virus into the atmosphere and indoors it will move on the fluid air in conditions of low absolute humidity. Except isolating the sick. The only defence is good health.

The text of 3M’s N95 mask instruction sheet clearly states that it cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infection, illness and disease. Furthermore, N95 masks are not designed to be effective with facial hair and beards nor are they designed to be worn by children. N95 masks should be removed from the face in 15 min. intervals and should not be worn where oxygen levels drop below 19.5% ( OSHA warning ). The Canadian government is as stupid and or as purposely misleading as the debased state governments in CA, AL, AR, NY, MA, MI, VA, WI, NJ, OH, IL, et al. in the US.

Why does this writer feel that he can make a point by early and frequently invoking NAZI in his short essay?
I tend to lose interest at an alarming rate when this happens.
Perhaps the writer would care to tell where the “master race” came up in Germany; as I can see it, it is a much-beloved notion of anti-German propaganda, it certainly wasn’t a popular topic in Germany. There was nothing delusional about Germany being encircled, denigrated and treated with hostile intent by the major powers such as the US, GB, France and the SU, in addition to their offspring in Czecho-Slovakia, Jugoslavia, Poland, Belgium…..as an example, the Hindenburg disaster occurred because the sale of Helium was to Germany was ended by the Roosevelt administration, a purely nasty gesture towards Germany, only in 1936 did Hitler end provisions of the Treaty of Versailles which had had internationalized Germany’s waterways, etc, countless ways of infringing upon Germany’s sovereignty over her own affairs. There was nothing delusional about that. What is delusional is the anti-nazi hysteria which by now has reached levels which can only be called psychotic, leading to imprisonment of people for writing books, even re-publishing books, people being driven into ruin because they think not along the state and judiciary-sanctioned lines. The article about Herbe Ryssen and Alain Sorral on this site provide recent examples. Even in its heyday anti-communism was not in any way as crazy and deranged as the anti-nazi psychosis.

It is to be assumed that the same people and powers who created and kept feeding the fires of anti-nazism are also now making a great number of people delusional about the dangers of the corona pandemic. Each one of these two words ought to be rightfully apostrophized, as there is no “pandemic”, the “dangers” from a corona infection hardly are different from a good case of influenza. If one wants to get an idea of a real pandemic (as of a widespread endemic of a serious communicable disease), one has to turn to the cholera epidemic in New Orleans of the 1830s, and similar such outbreaks in other American and European cities around that time. The pictures of hearses, corpses pulled in carts, the gloom and death’s wings ever-present provide a sharp contrast to the freaks driving with a mask on their faces in their cars, encouraging one another with Be strong! messages, believing that they are somehow mastering a real danger. It’s all in their head, implanted there by edict and relentless mass manipulation by the same methods so successfully employed to bring about and never end the Second World War. All of this has a reason, and we will at some point perhaps know with certainty what that reason is or was, but that the strategic goal is mass control and enslavement of a humanity incapable and unwilling of defense of its freedom or way of life under the freakish rule of covid emergency presents itself as a fairly good explanation.

Good link. Thanks from me as well. One point it didn’t look at was “early vs late adoption”. Masks, like all medical interventions, work best when done early and not at all when done late.

It could explain some of the anomalies like Mexico having a higher compliance of mask wearing than Japan but way worse results. Mexico brought their mask law 2+ months after the breakout.

    https://www.researchgate.net/publication/342198360_Association_of_country-wide_coronavirus_mortality_with_demographics_testing_lockdowns_and_public_wearing_of_masks_Update_June_15_2020

Do check out “Figure 1” on page 18/19.

A recommendation (not an order) to wear masks by day 15 makes a huge difference. Masks by day 16-30 have some effect. No masks and mask laws after day 60 make no difference.

This assumes the mortality numbers are arrived at and accounted for consistently from country to country which we know is not the case. I do hope the authors of this study can get better data and redo the study. It might be a handy intervention, if done early.

Punishment and Rewards – Totalitarianism is a carefully designed control system that doesn’t only persecute non-believers. It’s careful to also rewards believers (or those who pretend to believe) with social acceptance, publicity, promotion and the good thinker/good person identity. In other words, acceptance of the cult is the default option for anyone who wants an easy life/successful career.

Totalitarian Leadership – Invariably it’s a small dictatorial elite at the apex of a complex hierarchical control system reaching down to the lowest levels of society. Interestingly the powerful medieval Christian church allied itself with European monarchies to further institutionalize its power – much like US elite Jewry has allied itself with the Anglo elite (on the understanding that they accept Wokeness – in other words abandon their racial identity).

“WHO has basically confirmed an IFR of 0.14%” Listen, you little demagogue from Berlin, IFR can be defined for any population and it will be different depending on the age demographics because IFR as a function of age is exponential. IFR doubles every 5-7 years. It is the fraction of old people that defines the effective IFR for a given population. European countries have around 20% (Italy 23%) people older than 65. While Nigeria has only 2.8% people over 65, Indonesia 5.3% and India has about 6% people over 65. The whole world population has 8% over 65. So if IFR for UK, Italy, Spain is about 0.5%-1% then for Nigeria it will be 0.06%-0.12% and for the population of the whole world 0.17%-0.34%. The numbers will be even lower because the discrepancy for age brackets above 70 and above 80 are even higher between the 1st world and the 3rd world. So WHO got it about right but it does not change the fact that the IFR for the countries of the 1st world is still 0.5%-1%.

“The Fear with projections of hundreds of millions of deaths” Listen, you cheap ignorant demagogue from Berlin, Sweden that had the least severe social countermeasures had approximately 8 times higher total deaths per capita than other Nordic countries that have similar economic development and age demographics after accounting for population density differences. If there were no countermeasures in UK, Italy and Spain the death totals would be by now 430000, 360000 and 330000, respectively. The death projections were in millions for unconstrained epidemic spread. But thanks to the implemented countermeasures that your target audience was and is against, the total is an order of magnitude lower.

Just what are you Mr [Hopkins] ?

Well elsewhere I have read his self description as ‘an old Lefty’, and if so, we must know that any and all consideration of National Socialism will be filtered through those politics. It is a matter of (in the truest sense) religiosity. I have been reading about Jewish Power for about three years now, and what is clear is that, almost without exception, those writers and thinkers who identify with ‘the Left’ are simply incapable of engaging with the historical and contemporary evidence of Judaic identity as a political force. Their only responses are silence, demonisation or censorship of opposing views, or blatant dishonesty.
Hopkins is a good writer and has made me laugh a fair few times, but unless or until he can address the questions of those who draw attention to Jewish power, then his use of the mainstream meaning of the ‘Nazi’ meme in his satire at best muddies, and at worst, undermines his message.
I write this in the belief that my argument stands irrespective of the reality of disproportionate demonisation of the German Reich, or, on the other side, the evidence of involvement of international finance in the creation of the NS project, the disaster of WW2 and Israel. If one is going to invoke ‘the Nazis’ as the epitome of statist fanaticism, then one is obligated to explain one’s position on WWII, antisemitism, Israel and the German experience. I am not aware that Hopkins has, in fact there is an implict assumption that “the Western liberal narrative is full of lies about everything else, but they didn’t lie about the Nazis”, which is absurd.
Leftist writers who criticise grand narratives should be welcomed, but they need to be regularly reminded that their questioning only runs so far – which kind of makes them hypocrites.

You will need to request authorization to travel, to go out of your house, to breathe. You have to use digital media controlled by 2 or 3 companies – it is easier to censor – and digital cash – so we know exactly what you spend and we can stop it. No large assemblies of people – we wouldn’t want a possible revolution, would we. But a few controlled BLM riots, and a few terror attacks, why not.

This is what many have warned that they, the elites, wanted, and this is what they are doing. Covid or not covid, the ploy is really very transparent. Most people might believe the lie, but many will not. Many a growing number eventually will not.

The real parallel is that Early Christians went from a minority of martyrs thrown to the lions, to become the rulers of the Roman Empire, and eventually of the whole of Europe after its fall.

The current order (global liberal establishment) is crumbling, as the Roman Empire was in its time. This is the chance for a rebirth. Be faithful, and multiply.

There was scant difference between the geostratic nature of the Second World War and that of the War of the Spanish Succession. There was no more philosophical conflict underpinning the catastrophe than the ideological rift between Al Capone and his rivals.

    Good additions!

They’ve been laying the groundwork for this well in advance. In nearly every western country more than half the population relies on government for its income. Obviously government jobs and pensioners. Even private sector companies often get much of their income from government contracts.

It will be interesting to see if the elites can continue to get along and keep this going. We’re dealing will power/control freaks. Will controlling the common rabble be enough for them or will they try to control each other? From a political populist perspective, as Conservative politicians swing hard Left – like in Canada – this creates a vacuum to be filled by ambitious Trumpian types wishing to take advantage of all the silent lockdown opposition. Opposition which will continue to grow as more people figure out this is not temporary. The key for populists will be access to MSM – the narrative’s Stalingrad Moment. Therefore I assume it will be some billionaire who changes sides and has the money/influence to sell himself as the anti-lockdown leader.

Finally I can’t help but think that this is simply a point in time we had to reach. After winning every battle in the Culture War for 50 years one had to wonder what the Looney Left would do next. I don’t think they got much “bang for their buck” on the trannie washroom issue. It was a completely bogus narrative, as it was sold to the American public under false pretences. Rather than launching it to protect Western people, in general, and the American people, in particular, the bogus GWOT was launched to protect the people of the “villa in the jungle,” by taking out those regimes deemed hostile to the Zionist project.

If these stats are accurate, Covid-19 has an IFR that is approximately equal to the seasonal flu’s CFR.

In other words, the author’s statement that “the WHO has basically confirmed an IFR of 0.14%, approximately the same as the seasonal flu,” is erroneous and should be corrected to state that it’s higher than the seasonal flu by roughly one order of magnitude, but not two.

You’ve never considered, obviously, that there might just be another – and diametrically opposite – way of looking at this. The sheer weight of anti-Hitler propaganda, and the relentless ‘de-nazification’ programme of the post-war years, has served its purpose admirably. Which is to say that it has succeeded in obfuscating truth and reality concerning those years from 1933 to 1945, to the extent that it is today extraordinarily difficult even to get a glimpse of it, never mind engage in objective analysis or reasoned debate about it.

To me, that sets alarm bells a-ringing. I first came to understand this about ten years ago (I am in my sixties) and what I have learned has amply demonstrated that the ‘official’ version of WWII is almost entirely a grotesque tissue of lies and omissions. It is famously said that history gets to be written by the victors. There exists no more trenchant example of this axiom than the ‘official’ history of WWII that we are all force-fed from cradle to grave. And far from letting up, this tsunami of propaganda seems to go up a gear every ten years or so.

I have little hope that people will ever come to understand these matters, and thus to appreciate that we have all been played for fools, and are regarded as mere disposable helots by the true winners of 1945, which is to say the International Race of plutocratic oligarchs who rule the world today, exactly as they had planned to.

There was no ‘self-destruction’ brought about by Hitler in Germany. It was a carefully planned and ruthlessly executed extirpation of the only threat to this globalist hegemony that Germany represented, and with it, the equally carefully planned and ruthlessly executed destruction of all traditional Western societies – a project as dismal as it is evil and which now nears completion.

  131. The politicization of Covid-19 is unreal. MSM is going on and on about “red states” incompetence and the virus raging. Most US states have been in lockdown for seven months and are going inside with cooler weather; dangerous even with masks. Lockdowns were to “flatten the curve” and keep hospitals from being overwhelmed, not to stop a hugely contagious virus. Seven day daily death rates in the US have dropped from a peak of 2240 in April, followed by a secondary peak in early August (1178) to a present 702 daily deaths, a massive nation-wide 40% decrease in Covid-19 deaths. (worldometers.info/coronavirus). Yahoo news has a “Sky is Falling!” article on seven states hitting all time records in cases and two in deaths; all seven states have death rates far below the US states’ average of 678 per million. They are going through their first wave and OF COURSE will have record cases and death rates (WVa had been at two deaths per day and is now running six deaths per day, their record!; “recovered” NY is running ten or more Covid-19 deaths per day down from their record peak of 956 per day in April). Testing and tracing is only useful in isolated non-community spread countries (Asia and Australia which enacted early travel bans which kept SARS-COV2 entry to a minimum, much to the chagrin of the WHO).
All the noise about The Children is outrageous! The median age of Covid-19 victims is 80, this is an old people’s disease; cancer’s median death age is 72, heart attack and stroke are in the 60s. Covid-19 is similar to Alzheimers (maybe viral spread as are some cancers? Should we shut down all our schools because children may eventually die from other old people diseases? Influenza in contrast is actually dangerous to and spread mainly by children; are we going to shut down schools forever?) The “long haulers’” sequelae are much more common with influenza, strep and measles, all of which target children primarily.
By now there should be massive efforts to protect the elderly, the main targets of Covid-19, but we’re not seeing it. Hopefully the authorities are not still ending the infected to nursing homes?
Probably all this MSM BS Narrative is just to get demented Biden and his super corrupt family into the White House, and should end with the Election.

Here are more quotes from Voltaire related to religion. We are under Zion Control. Voltaire warned us about Zion.

    http://www.judeofascism.com/2011/03/voltaire-on-jews.html

The Zion West is at work at destroying seven nations again for Zion since the 9 11 Zion Israel false flag. Iran is the last one. Thus, it is always in Zion news as a “bad”.

“If we read the history of the Jews written by an author of another nation, we would have sorrow to believe that there were indeed fugitive people of Egypt which came by express order from God immoler seven or eight small nations that they didn’t know; to cut the throat without mercy of a woman, old men and children with the udder, and to reserve only the small girls; that these holy people were punished of his God when it had been enough criminal to save only one man devoted to the anathema. We would not believe that so abominable people (Jews) had been able to exist on the earth. But as this nation itself brings back all its facts in its holy books to us, it should be believed. —Voltaire, Essai sur les mœurs (1756) Tome 1, pages 158–159

Zion Jewish culture hates all other nations. Thus, we have the Barbara Spectre promoting the mass immigration to destroy other cultures. Israel is exempted from that of course.

“[The Jewish nation] dares spread an irreconcilable hatred against all nations; it revolts against all its masters. Always superstitious, always avid of the well-being enjoyed by others, always barbarous, crawling in misfortune, and insolent in prosperity. Here are what were the Jews in the eyes of the Greeks and the Romans who could read their books. —Voltaire, Essai sur les mœurs (1756) Tome 1, page 186

Voltaire was so aware of Zion Jewish culture. It is the most primitive and barbaric culture of all. Any Amazon tribe is more compassionate and reasonable. It is very sad that such a culture is at top of society and our planet. It is destroying our planet.

“You seem to me to be the maddest of the lot. The Kaffirs, the Hottentots, and the Negroes of Guinea are much more reasonable and more honest people than your ancestors, the Jews. You have surpassed all nations in impertinent fables in bad conduct and in barbarism. You deserve to be punished, for this is your destiny.[2] —Voltaire, From a letter to a Jew who had written to him, complaining of his antisemitism in L’Essai sur le Moeurs

Now, the possibility that someone might have a cold – or might get one – is enough to cast a person out; it has become the equivalent of demonic possession.

There’s no way to know – and you can never tell. It is thus implicitly never-ending and beyond reason.

Obvious – objective – wellness is no defense against the hysterical assertion of possible sickness.

Diapers are the symbol of this regression – this descent into cast-the-out and burn-the-witch. It is a terrible – and terribly sad – thing.

I fully understand your position. I’m Germanic and I have personal and family experience with the consistent effort by most modern elements of western civilization to carry out a psychological extermination of the German people. I’m aware of the murder of ten million German refugees from eastern provinces and I’m aware of the suppression of German culture in the United States from 1910 on. I feel as if I’m a victim of it, as are my children and grandchildren. I didn’t choose my moniker for no reason.

However, the horrid overreaction to Nazism in our culture since about 1970 has, I believe, led to another kind of overreaction that was beginning probably when Hitler was still alive. It was the idea that Hitler did no wrong and that the results of WWII came about despite him.

If Hitler had retired in 1938, he would today be considered possibly the greatest and most successful national leader of the 20th century. I don’t have the time or space to go into all of the mistakes and misdirection of his leadership from 1939 to 1945, but I’ll point out one that is seldom mentioned. After the German defeat at Stalingrad, Stalin made serious and persistent efforts to get Hitler to agree to an end to hostilities. Hitler could have held on to much of the lebensraum his armies had won in the East, including Czechoslovakia, Poland and Ukraine. He would have been free to force England and the United States to come to terms and Europe would be ruled by orderly people up to this time. Only because he was suicidal did Hitler not make an attempt to take advantage of the Soviet desire to end the killing in 1942.

There are plenty of other, more commonly known, instances of his irrational desire to commit a murder-suicide after his mistakes at Stalingrad were known. I’ll leave them to your research.

Probably never life threatening, but there were multiple trips to the emergency room, and seven months later she is not entirely over it. I know the flu does sometimes kill people, but in all my life I’ve never seen it hit anyone that hard. So my personal experience — sample of one for covid, sample of many for the flu — is entirely consistent with more restrained media reporting, which from the beginning was saying that while this wasn’t going to be the Black Death, it looked like it might be a factor of 10 worse than the flu. (Whether this was worth shutting down the economy over is a somewhat separate question).

What people believe in is not the problem. I’m an atheist but I have no issue with others being religious. Live and let live is a core value of libertarian conservatism.

The problem we all face is this cult of liberalism in which they try to force their opinions on others. We’ve seen this for years with the politically correct nonsense. It’s anti-intellectual and anti-free speech…which leads to anti-freedom, as we’re now seeing.

Unfortunately liberals do not believe in anything accept their own opinions. To justify those opinions they must force them on others. They are that insecure. The amount of hatred for people who think differently, and dare to express such thoughts, is appalling.

I’m not sure how we ever fix this problem.

  156. Covidia and the Covidians

The Covidians are people of an imaginary world called Covidia, which owed its name to a virus created by its ruling elites, reportedly in a laboratory. This virus was called COVID-20. Covidians had come to love and accept their virus ruled world. They wore masks, and walked and stayed six feet apart from each other. They shopped in large conglomerate stores where arrows showed them in what direction they must walk in the stores. Anyone not wearing a mask was not allowed in any of the stores, and some people had even been arrested for not wearing a mask. Their places of worship were under strict rules, and only a very few were allowed into the Houses of their God. Religion was now dictated to by the state.

Casinos were open as were Abortion Chambers and Marijuana/Pot stores so that people could have their preborn killed by choice, and gamble and smoke some “happiness.” Some sports games were allowed so that the masses could watch them on TV. But, the sports arenas were empty except for those participating in the “games.” The new gods in what was called,”The New Normal” in Covidia, were the political puppets that were in positions of authority. These political puppets took their guidance from “medical experts” that in turn took their orders from an unelected central authority called, “WHO”. Keeping Covidia and Covidians healthy was the mandate, of the “World Hypochondriacs Organization” (WHO)

WHO was financed by Covidians tax dollars and it also received money from a wealthy foundation owned by a vaccine promoter that reportedly hoped to eventually vaccinate all of Covidia. His influence was everywhere and he was celebrated as a vaccine pusher in all of Covidia.

Covidians were an obedient people and did as they were told to by those in control. The media in Covidia brayed COVID-20 statistics twenty fours hours a day, and the populace also received daily briefings by other figures of “authority” that told them to “be kind” and “practice
social distancing” and “wash your hands frequently” and “stay away from large gatherings” and “remember we are all in this together.”

The marketing of Rule by Virus had become so acceptable that people no longer questioned those in control. They were in fact joyfully waiting to be vaccinated, chipped, and numbered when a promised vaccine arrived. They were now docile subjects and appeared to be incapable or to have the will to take back their freedoms that had been lost. But hey, Covidia and the Covidians is just an imaginary tale.

I think it’s pretty clear that covid is substantially worse than the flu.

“Substantially” may not be the fairest characterization.

I know the flu does sometimes kill people…

Sometimes? Every year 10s of thousands of people in America alone die from flue-related illnesses.

… while this wasn’t going to be the Black Death, it looked like it might be a factor of 10 worse than the flu.

Factor of 10? Neil Ferguson of Imperial College London assumed an IFR ~ 1.0%, a factor of 100 worse than the seasonal flu. On the basis of that input assumption, his model spat out predicted deaths of 2.2 million Americans and 510k Brits, – i.e., approximating the Black Plague!

    Hence, the lockdowns.

  158. The COVID-19 Suit and Other Mad Happenings

Harry had been keeping a diary for a while, and was feeling good that he had faithfully written down some of his thoughts on the COVID-19 Virus.

He had a basement full of toilet paper and was proud of the fact he had accumulated it quietly. During the first virus wave there had been fights over toilet paper and it became rationed. Now that he was loaded up with it. He was feeling secure in the knowledge that he could have bowel movements with no limits, and the cleanest rear end in the country. He was fond of saying to himself: “Bring on the second wave of the virus, I have got my sh-t covered.” In fact, he had heard that another medical expert Dr. Tammyrot had reportedly said, there would be a second wave of the virus, and it could last into the next year.

He took daily walks. But, before going out, he dressed in what he called:“His COVID-19 suit.” It was a white coverall, rain proofed, and similar to a diving suit, but not as heavy. It covered him from head to toe and he had an air breathing container attached. One day while walking he noticed that a person coming towards him was in his walking lane. So he turned on his loud speaker that was attached to his COVID-19 suit, and said: “ Move over buddy to your own lane, you are coming towards me in my social distancing lane. Have you not heard of staying six feet apart” ?
To which the oncoming person yelled at him: “ I am not your buddy. Go take a COVID hike elsewhere, you are in my way.”

Neither Harry or the oncoming walker would give way, and it resulted in a head on COVID rule breakers crash, but nobody got hurt, though expletives filled the air, and an onlooker from her house window called the police. The police arrived and charged both of them with: “self endangerment and lack of physical distancing.” And told both of them: “physical distancing, means exactly that.”

Then the policeman said to Harry: “Halloween is not here yet, why are you dressed up in the white suit”? Harry replied: “This suit is my COVID-19 safety suit, and I am a good COVID rule obeying citizen. Who takes social distancing, and other safety rules seriously”

After this experience, Harry continued to the Grocery Store to buy some groceries. This big chain store had a mandatory mask wearing rule. Harry entered the store and was immediately challenged by a Store Greeter. “Where are you going sir,” asked the greeter.? To which Harry replied: “This is a grocery store, and I came here to buy my food.” To which the greeter replied: “You cannot come in here, covered from head to toe looking like something from outer space. In this store, masks are mandatory, space suits are not allowed.” Hearing this: Harry turned on his suit’s loud speaker, upped the volume to high, and shouted: “I am safely covered in every orifice, I even wear diapers in this suit, and I am masked inside the suit in case of any smell, what is your problem”? The greeter replied: “Sir or madam, or other, you must take off that space suit and only wear a mask to be a customer here.” Harry being a good COVID citizen said: “Okay.” Pulled the release zipper on his suit, stepped out of it naked, but still wearing his mask and diaper, and was immediately arrested for being naked, and causing a disturbance in a grocery store.

Harry after the ugly incident in the store was on his way home, and hoping to catch the daily briefings of the COVID-19 experts. He entered his home and turned on his T.V. He was just in time. Dr. Faucinstein was speaking and saying: “Everyone should wear masks and goggles.” Harry thought to himself, “I should call or email Dr. Faucinstein and tell him about my COVID-19 suit. Perhaps, even send him a picture so that he can see its benefits. I mean masks and goggles are fine, but surely being covered completely is a fail safe option? The possibilities for my COVID-19 suit are mind blowing.

The government could make COVID-19 suits mandatory wear, while being outside. The suits could be mass produced, in all kinds of colours, thus creating millions of jobs with no systemic racism. People everywhere would be totally safe from the virus, and perhaps he, Harry, would get an award called “The COVID-19 Award” for service to humanity. Harry also thought, I know some people will think my suit is a mad idea, but in a time of mass madness, is there anybody sane”?

  159. There is an aspect to the coronamask madness not being discussed and I offer it here. A human face is all important in sending mating signals, we humans communicate our willingness to mate based on what we see on another persons face. For instance, in evolutionary biology, female lips are a proxy for her labia, that we can no longer see when we stood upright. This is the reason for red lipstick being the universal color.

So by wearing this mask because of what the television programming (electronic mind control device) says, human females are covering up their lips, and thus defeating their primary mating signal to potential suitors. Thus anyone foolish enough to wear a mask is voluntarily limiting correct mating data.

This virus hoax madness also defeats chemical signalling. Once two are attracted enough to become intimate and kiss, the female gets important chemical signals on whether to mate or not. It is common for a woman to fall in love with a man based on smell or kissing because at a subconscious cellular level she has determined the man is qualified with the right genes that benefit her offspring. Thus because of fear of this invisible virus, humans might not kiss and thus not transfer chemical data for gene selection.

Will the doctors know how to treat you

My ex-wife is a family doctor. When people show up with these problems, they try to determine if it is bacterial or viral. If it is bacterial, they prescribe antibiotics. If it is viral, since antibiotics don’t work, they tell the patient to go home, rest and drink lots of fluids. The body’s immune system usually handles it. If secondary infections appear, further tests are carried out and so on.

The idea that we have cures for viruses is a new one. At best, we can help the body’s immune system handle them. A good diet, exercise and sleep are important. Periodically, the media is full of propaganda about some new antiviral medication. It is usually nonsense. Here are a couple of examples.

Despite the enormous hype of three decades ago, interferon leaves little legacy in cancer treatment other than to induce greater realism in the appraisal of future cancer drugs, believes Dr Priestman.

“An interesting but blind alley” is how he sums up the story of interferon and cancer. Fortunately for the pharmaceutical companies that put so much time and money into developing the drug, the story has proved to be very different in other therapeutic areas, notably hepatitis and multiple sclerosis.

Interferon was not the miracle cure for cancer hoped for in its early days (2008)

All about Cuba’s ‘wonder drug’ being pitched against coronavirus

As the world battles the coronavirus outbreak, with the global death toll crossing 16,000, scientists are in a race to find the best cure. China, where COVID-19 emerged in late December last year, had shortlisted 30 drugs to fight the virus.

One of these medicines picked by the Chinese National Heath Commission has been creating news, with many calling it a wonder drug. The anti-viral drug called Interferon Alfa-2B is produced in China, by a Cuban-Chinese joint venture ChangHeber. Considered one of the stars of the Cuban biotechnology boom, the drug has reportedly been effective in the treatment of HIV, human papilloma virus, Hepatitis B and C

    Both robbers, both beggars.
The king made laws, the priest made creeds.
With bowed backs the people carried the burdens of one, with open-mouthed wonder received the dogmas of the other.
The king said rags and hovels for you, robes and palaces for me.

The French Revolution did not free France.

The king and priest killings in France and Russia in 1917 did not free either nation.

Russia is lot freer now ironically with the recall of the priests.

Here are some examples of King free and priest free in France. I say priest free too since Vatican II priests are not allowed to criticize Zion Jewish power.

Example one, Dieudonne’s treatment by King and priest free France.

Last Friday, a French court jailed anti-Semitic activist Hervé Lalin, who also goes by Hervé Ryssen, for two posts on the internet that defamed the Jewish people and one that denied the Holocaust, according to The Algemeiner.

    https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism/french-holocaust-denier-alain-soral-arrested-his-ally-dieudonne-banned-637532

Alain Soral’s treatment by King and priest free France.

Police in France have again arrested Alain Soral, one of the country’s most prominent purveyors of antisemitic sentiment.
Soral, who has previously been sentenced to prison for inciting racial hatred and denying the Holocaust was apprehended at his Paris apartment on July 29 in connection with his website, “Equality and Reconciliation,” Le Parisien reported. The website outlines conspiracy theories about how Jews exercise their power and calls for a revolution.

Something is going on here. Somebody in power does not like back talk. The power is Zion. It can not be seen, spoken or heard about. It is most griev0us sin to do so. It is jail time, no job time or ostracize time if you dare to do so.

I think France was better off with Kings and priests after all. At least, they allowed to say who ruled them.

The Nazis were fighting against the same Antifa communists we are fighting today in America.

Bullshit. Hitler made a deal with Stalin and the two planned to carve up Poland. No anti-Communist makes a deal with the worst Communist of all time to split a country of Christians.

The Nazis invaded Poland first and fought veterans of the Soviet-Polish war. The great anti-Communist dictator left that detail out in his speeches.

Nothing was stopping Hitler from invading the USSR first. That would have been a much wiser move as both France and Britain would have shrugged.

The harsh truth is that Hitler wanted to destroy Poland and kill off Slavs. He wanted to kill Slavs just as much as he wanted to kill Communists. In his mind they were hardly different.

If he had made a deal with Soviet occupied Slavs to create their own homelands the current mess we are in never would have happened. In fact he played into Stalin’s hands through his brutal treatment of the Slavs. Hitler could have created a White guard alliance against Stalin and ended Communism. In fact that is what Stalin feared and assumed Hitler would do. Basically recreate Ukraine and then give the useful half of Russian territory to the Germans.

But your great dictator was an arrogant psycho that ignored his generals and thought that “providence” would ultimately give him victory. In the end the Soviets were able to expand and leftists in the West utilized the war for guilt propaganda. If anything WW2 saved the left. The colleges in the West were openly studying race pre-WW2 and would have put the great lie to bed. But Whites got a case of the guilts and shut it all down. Thanks a bunch Adolf, idiot.

Black and White vs Shades of Grey.

The world is not black and white, it is shades – it is blending of shades.

One doesn’t have to agree with everything Hitler did, or Stalin, or FDR. What you have to do is look for the good things and the bad things, and then weigh them in the balance.

You have to become nuanced, and think in terms of shades of grey. Once you do that, then Hitler is not a boogey man anymore than is Stalin, or FDR.

Hitler should not have turned east. He made mistakes. Stalin and FDR also made mistakes.

The take-away message is that you should not have one glorious leader calling the shots, but instead it should be a team, maybe a team of three with majority rule. History is full of examples of leaders, leading their people off of a cliff. One man who possesses the immense wisdom needed to pilot a major country is a rare bird. (Putin is a rare bird.)

I don’t think that’s the reason conspiracy theories are so rampant. People see how often the media lies for political reasons that they subconsciously gravitate towards any theory that says the opposite. It’s easier and quicker to grab a theory than to wait for the facts or portray the situation honestly.

This is a pandemic. It is especially bad for people over 50. I remember asking some people at the start of the pandemic if they were worried. One woman told me she wasn’t worried because all her grandparents were dead. And I was thinking, what about my grandparents! Another woman told me she was young and had no covid prerequisites (like being overweight). The people who aren’t concerned about this pandemic seem to be hyper individualists who aren’t thinking of people far removed from themselves or perhaps they have no sympathy for the vulnerable.

In fact Christians are one of the few remaining pillars of western society still holding it up, though with increasing feebleness.

The suicidal aspects appear to mostly come from the left wing: they promote destruction of the nuclear family, abortions, having 27 genders, cutting off boys testicles as young as age 8 (recently promoted by Biden), mass immigration (dilute and destroy your own culture), limitless power to big-tech (slavery), corporate globalisation (more slavery), feeling guilty, socialism (even more slavery), a doomday cult that the world will end in 12 years due to “global warming,” and that’s just the ones off the top of my head!

If it is viral, since antibiotics don’t work, they tell the patient to go home, rest and drink lots of fluids.

Yes I’m aware of that but I’ve always found antibiotics helpful in preventing secondary bacterial infections when you’re down with the flu. Western doctors tend not to prescribe antibiotics as readily as some others and they complain that overprescription in Third World countries leads to antibiotic resistant strains. However, in the tropical Third World countries, due to high temperature and humidity as well as the greater level of germs due to the high population densities, lower hygiene and general social and living conditions, antibiotics are a must when your immunity has been lowered by the flu.

  190. Petronius Arbiter, the Satyricon…

CHAPTER THE ONE HUNDRED AND NINETEENTH.

“The conquering Roman now held the whole world in his sway,
The ocean, the land; where the sun shone by day or the moon
Gleamed by night: but unsated was he. And the seas
Were roiled by the weight of his deep-laden keels; if a bay
Lay hidden beyond, or a land which might yield yellow gold
‘Twas held as a foe. While the struggle for treasure went on
The fates were preparing the horrors and scourges of war.
Amusements enjoyed by the vulgar no longer can charm
Nor pleasures worn threadbare by use of the plebeian mob.
    The bronzes of Corinth are praised by the soldier at sea;
    And glittering gems sought in earth, vie with purple of Tyre;
Numidia curses her here, there, the exquisite silks
Of China; Arabia’s people have stripped their own fields.
Behold other woes and calamities outraging peace!
Wild beasts, in the forest are hunted, for gold; and remote
African hammon is covered by beaters, for fear
Some beast that slays men with his teeth shall escape, for by that
His value to men is enhanced! The vessels receive
Strange ravening monsters; the tiger behind gilded bars
And pacing his cage is transported to Rome, that his jaws
May drip with the life blood of men to the plaudits of men
Oh shame! To point out our impending destruction; the crime
Of Persia enacted anew; in his puberty’s bloom
The man child is kidnapped; surrenders his powers to the knife,
Is forced to the calling of Venus; delayed and hedged round
The hurrying passage of life’s finest years is held back
And Nature seeks Nature but finds herself not. Everywhere
These frail-limbed and mincing effeminates, flowing of locks,
Bedecked with an infinite number of garments of silk
Whose names ever change, the wantons and lechers to snare,
Are eagerly welcomed! From African soil now behold
The citron-wood tables; their well-burnished surface reflects
Our Tyrian purples and slaves by the horde, and whose spots
Resemble the gold that is cheaper than they and ensnare
Extravagance. Sterile and ignobly prized is the wood
    But round it is gathered a company sodden with wine;
And soldiers of fortune whose weapons have rusted, devour
The spoils of the world. Art caters to appetite. Wrasse
From Sicily brought to their table, alive in his own Sea water.
The oysters from Lucrine’s shore torn, at the feast
Are served to make famous the host; and the appetite, cloyed,
To tempt by extravagance. Phasis has now been despoiled
Of birds, its littoral silent, no sound there is heard
Save only the wind as it rustles among the last leaves.
Corruption no less vile is seen in the campus of Mars,
Our quirites are bribed; and for plunder and promise of gain
Their votes they will alter. The people is venal; corrupt
The Senate; support has its price! And the freedom and worth
    Of age is decayed, scattered largesse now governs their power;
Corrupted by gold, even dignity lies in the dust.
Cato defeated and hooted by mobs, but the victor
Is sadder, ashamed to have taken the rods from a Cato:
In this lay the shame of the nation and character’s downfall,
‘Twas not the defeat of a man! No! The power and the glory
Of Rome were brought low; represented in him was the honor
Of sturdy Republican Rome. So, abandoned and wretched,
The city has purchased dishonor: has purchased herself!
Despoiled by herself, no avenger to wipe out the stigma
Twin maelstroms of debt and of usury suck down the commons.
No home with clear title, no citizen free from a mortgage,
But as some slow wasting disease all unheralded fastens
Its hold on the vitals, destroying the vigor of manhood,
So, fear of the evils impending, impels them to madness.
Despair turns to violence, luxury’s ravages needs must
Repaired be by bloodshed, for indigence safely can venture.
Can art or sane reason rouse wallowing Rome from the offal
And break the voluptuous slumber in which she is sunken?
Or must it be fury and war and the blood-lust of daggers?”

They can be as stupid as they like. So long as they leave me alone they are no direct treat to my quality of life. Yes indirectly they can be but that is a societal issue.

I am in agreement that people believing in nonsense is a threat to society. This has been at least 20 years in the making. Western society is now toast. The sole option individuals have left is to try and find a safe space to be able to complete their life in peace.

Christian conservatives had numerous chances to dismantle the welfare state and they did nothing.

I don’t see why anyone thinks the Christian right should be in charge of anything.

Their theory that Blacks just need charter schools and capitalism has failed.

In fact you will get banned on Christian right forums for pointing that out.

As with liberals they want to suppress talk on race and hope the whole thing someone goes away. Well we have political problems directly related to race and such talk is entirely relevant.

I thought the anti-German Polish nationalist pogrom against ethnic Germans who were living in lands annexed by Poland after WWI was the root cause of German military action against Poland.

The direct cause was Hitler’s plans for Lebensraum and revenge over WW1.

Protection of German minorities was just an excuse. He made the same excuse for Sudenland which the Allies gave him. Then he took the rest of Czechoslovakia which ruined any remaining credibility. The Allies didn’t declare war which emboldened Hitler as he didn’t think they would attack over Poland. But he was also fine with that scenario. It was actually extremely reckless as his generals correctly did not want to gamble a war with both Britain and France and instead wanted to focus on the East.

To really get a sense of Hitler read about the Siege of Leningrad. The Unz Hitler Defense Force doesn’t like talking about it because it shows what a real bastard he was to the Slavs. He wanted to starve off the inhabitants instead of letting them escape.

His claim to be interested in protecting Germans was always a lie. Consider how he didn’t surrender to Western Allies knowing full what well would happen to any Germans behind Soviet lines.

    Straw woman!
Very few of the people in authority, very few if any of the 25 or so responsible for the policy of conquering and destroying “seven countries in five years”, a small minority, I think, of the “deep state” (aka the US permanent civil service), none of the important military commanders since the WW2, almost none of the central bankers, have been or are women. Almost none of the various politburos that ran the USSR, none of the major NAZI leaaders and very few of the dozens of dictators installed by the CIA have been women. Very few of the leading Chinese politician have been women.

Yes we have had Evita, Emelda, Golda, Indira, Maggie, Hillary and Theresa, but were they really all that much worse than men? (Most of them seemed pretty macho anyway!)

I agree. I don’t want to crap on Christianity or any religion, with the possible exception of Judaism, but it really rubs me the wrong way when Christians present their religion as some kind of antidote to all of the West’s problems, when modern day Christianity has been manifestly complicit in inflaming those same problems. Between the Marxist pope and the hyper-Zionist fundies there’s not a lot to like.

I don’t think that Christians should be ashamed of being CHristian. If they believe it, then they believe it and they are entitled to their belief, but they should be ashamed of what their churches have become politically and unless conservative Christians can remedy that, they have no business perpetually telling us that that the current situation is due to society’s failure to embrace their religion. I keep asking them to stop, but they just give me that glassy eyed stare.

Remember that the greatest step toward racial suicide white Americans ever took was just after the Civil War, in an America nearly 100% white and Christian, when in a righteous spasm of Christian insanity they granted both citizenship and the vote to negroes. Today’s antifa and BLM rioters are just modern counterparts of abolitionist John Brown, who demand their Christian countrymen more fully live up to these Christian ideals of racial equality. In fact Christians are one of the few remaining pillars of western society still holding it up, though with increasing feebleness.

Remaining pillars? Half the churches are beating on those pillars.

I’ve listened in on some local streams of protestant sermons and they preach the same White guilt crap that you see in Hollywood movies. And this is in rural America. The protestant churches in the cities have gay clergy and preach against borders. In fact I can cite numerous denominations that have taken an official stand against borders. They would let in millions of third worlders if they could.

If anything the protestant churches have proven too susceptible to secular egalitarianism. They copy whatever the liberal religion comes up with.

Then we have the problem of fundamentalists thinking that it is all supposed to be destroyed anyways. Yea real helpful. Please stay out of politics.

  216. Covid has been huge. It’s the equivalent of getting nuked.

Over 350,000 Americans killed by 2021 + an additional 200,000 deaths of despair = huge loss to American’s life expectancy for 2020.

Keep in mind, it was already dropping yearly just due to the comparatively mild deaths of despair.

Losing half a million people yearly in peacetime is huge. It makes us look like fools, and costs our country credibility at face level. You have no excuse for why the United States should be performing worse than the third world on COVID. Nos it’s gonna mutate under more favorable conditions and kill +1,000,000 in 2021 without a China-style lockdown.

Making it an issue only hurts Trump. It DOES NOT help. It will not inspire voters.

    It’s too late for that.

If Trump loses it is because he and his blind followers downplayed the virus.

It was overloading Italian hospitals early on which was a clear sign that it wasn’t just another flu. Was the Catholic church lying when they said they had a backlog of funerals? When has that happened with regular flu?

What many here haven’t figured out is that we don’t have to lie. There is no need to rally around falsehoods or support politicians blindly.

Only the left needs to play games with the truth.

If Trump took it seriously from the beginning then the Democrats would be literally crying right now. They had zero chance with any of their candidates before this happened.

    Masks don’t do anything.

    Social distancing does nothing.

Covid isn’t a major threat with a death rate of .2%

Wrecking a worldwide economy, destroying people lives and employment, for a virus that has a 99.8% survival rate is fucking NUTS.

Now…..if you want to wear a mask and stay home and hide under your fucking bed, then DO IT.

But the rest of the normal human population would like to be able to assess the risk of covid and go on with our lives as we see fit without a bunch of communist retard FREAKS telling us what to do.

Utter garbage. The Swedes are at something like 6000 deaths. The idea that the UK would have experienced 70 times that number is infantile. Time to reign in your zeros. The Swedish deaths, like basically every other advanced country, occurred when normal life, including medical treatment, was disrupted for the elderly in the name of saving the system from a new 1918 plague that never materialized.

After WWI, Poland annexed former territories of Germany and Imperial Russia then, rightly or wrongly, sought to forcibly rid those lands of non-Poles.

There was never any serious plan to remove them. There were hostilities against native Germans but I fail to see how that would justify carpet bombing Warsaw and executing Poles that had fought Soviets.

Regardless you can look at a map of 1914 and see that Prague was not a part of the German empire.

But Hitler decided to take it anyways which is why no one believed he was just trying to protect Germans.

Have a look at the map of Generalplost ost.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generalplan_Ost

He wanted to kill Slavs and take their land. It really is that simple. In fact he privately thought it was weak to provide justifications for such actions. He admired empires of the past like the Mongols that simply slaughtered people and took their stuff.

I don’t care if you want to admire Hitler but to believe he was some victim of international power is ridiculous. They Allies tried to buy him off and had hoped that he would wage war against the Soviets. If the Jews were in charge of everything as many here allege the war against Germany would have started much earlier.

Why have there been so many outbreaks at gatherings like indoor weddings where the participants weren’t wearing masks?

Do masks not protect against other airborne diseases? Should hospital staff not bother with them? Just wondering how far you take this.

Hey Grandpa, no call for the condescending tone, but I’m probably considerably your elder. So let’s have a bit of respect, OK.

As for your argument, it hardly seems a logical response to what I said, so I’ll say what I said again:

Note, please that “as a means to reduce” is not synonymous with “will invariably prevent.”

But you are probably a victim of the tyranny of either/or thinking, a condition probably incurable at your age, in which case my point will forever escape you.

the IFR for the countries of the 1st world is still 0.5%-1%.

Not so. Consider Sweden. On April 15, there were 605 reported cases and 115 deaths for an IFR of 19%. On June 24, the numbers were 22 and 1698 for an IFR of 1.2%. On October 14 there was one death and 970 new cases for an IFR of 0.1%. On October 15, the last date for which data appear to be available, there were zero deaths.

These numbers are indicative of a worldwide trend, from high apparent Covid19 IFR rates to rates comparable to those for influenza, which explains why, by September, UK influenza deaths were higher than Covid19 deaths.

No doubt you will respond to this, if at all, with some irrrelevant insults, but those are the facts. You are an ingenious scaremonger, but for all the numerical razzle-dazzle your conclusions are bogus.

Of course, a large portion of those deaths are due to the aging of our society, but an excessive number of them are premature: suicides, drug overdoses, alcohol related disease, etc. America has a terrifying mortality problem that no other developed country has. Hundreds of thousands of people are dying every year due things that ultimately stem from the emotional misery of being born disenfranchised and ignorant in this nightmare called America. Our life expectancy in this country is literally decreasing. And COVID will bring that figure even lower. Republicans and Generation X destroyed this country. Now you’re being destroyed.

The truth is in the middle.

There is definitely a COVID cult that has an unrealistic expectation of locking down the economy and having everyone work from home until there is a vaccine. They don’t want to consider if more people are hurt by the lockdown than the virus. They are running high on emotion and want to blame Trump as much as possible. These are the people that seem to think everyone can work from home and pay a private tutor for their children. They seem to not get that some families live in apartments and can barely pay the rent. Those people are furious over the lockdown. Are they supposed to leave the kids at home while both parents work?

But there is also a side that has downplayed the virus and we would certainly have fewer problems if more people took it seriously from the beginning and stopped going to unnecessary activities and wore masks in public.

I honestly get annoyed with both sides. I really don’t like Biden or the MSM but I’m not going to pretend that Trump has handled this well or that it is just like the flu.

“I haven’t cited any studies and yet you seem to speak with authority on all mask related studies.”

Well I have done my due diligence by researching the subject. Unlike the cultists, such poor excuses for citizens of an alleged democracy with a duty to educate themselves.

“If masks didn’t work in hospitals then there would be constant outbreaks among staff as they are treating people with covid. ”

The studies mostly find that professional-grade masks worn by trained professionals do help in the very artificial clinical setting.

I notice the terror-mongers can’t keep their propaganda straight on this, however. Sometimes they want to make the false claim that covid is so virulent it has killed vast numbers of doctors and nurses, which would mean masks are worthless even for professionals in hospitals. But they contradict this with the general propaganda campaign calling for face diapers for everyone in all settings, whatever kind of mask it is.

“It seems strange to believe that masks can work in a medical facility but outside that scenario their utility suddenly drops to zero.”

Obviously there’s a huge difference between working a long shift, so many hours in constant close contact with symptomatic respiratory patients, and the casual passing-by others as one goes about a normal day, indoors as well as outdoors. Indeed, as this study in the New England Journal of Medicine says, “Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes).”

Clearly, only willful obtuseness on your part could fail to see the world of difference.

Here’s the full quote. It’s typical of the longstanding scientific consensus on the worthlessness of masks outside a clinical setting.

    https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp2006372

“We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection. Public health authorities define a significant exposure to Covid-19 as face-to-face contact within 6 feet with a patient with symptomatic Covid-19 that is sustained for at least a few minutes (and some say more than 10 minutes or even 30 minutes). The chance of catching Covid-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal. In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.”

    Don’t strain your brain.

LOL The Utu insult machine not up to much this morning. How so? Maybe feeling a bit exposed? Your analysis is obviously nonsense because the data are nonsense. It’s the kind of analysis that explains why most published research findings are wrong. But bullshit analysts continue to take crap numbers without examination to reach desired false conclusions.

To estimate an infection fatality rate you need an infection rate and a fatality rate, but you don’t have reliable information on either.

New York City is one of the few places where an attempt was made to determine the population-wide infection rate. This they did by serological testing for antibodies in April and May. The result indicated an infection rate of 20 to 30% depending on borough. But the reliability of the test is probably unknown, though it is pretty certainly not high, so the numbers could be off by a large percentage. And since the spring the numbers will have greatly increased so New York City’s IFR is likely below the range of values you assert, even assuming the reported number of Covid19 deaths were correct, which it obviously is not.

What we know of mortality rates is that the numbers are likely heavily exaggerated in the US where private hospitals reap great profit from Covid deaths. We also know that the initital mortality rates were driven up by an apparently genocidal State policy toward the elderly, with infected individuals being forced into care homes to insure epidemic spread among the most vulnerable. (The same in Canada where over 80% of Covid deaths occurred in care homes now revealed to have been grotesquely negligent in the care of residents).

So no, you don’t know the IFR for Covid19, although assuming that the elderly are no longer specifically targeted for elimination by government policy and care home mismanagement is corrected, the future IFR will be lower than the 2020 rate, whatever that may be.

Here’s the full quote. It’s typical of the longstanding scientific consensus on the worthlessness of masks outside a clinical setting.

That was in May when health care authorities were arguing that there weren’t enough masks for everyone and that people shouldn’t buy them. The CDC took that position and then they later reversed it. From that same study:
And then the potential benefits of universal masking need to be balanced against the future risk of running out of masks and thereby exposing clinicians to the much greater risk of caring for symptomatic patients without a mask.

    So they acknowledge potential benefits.

  281. “The point is not the identity of the enemy. The point is the atmosphere of paranoia and hysteria the official narrative generates, which keeps the cult members (or the society) compliant.”
    CJ Hopkins

The above is a fine example of the fallacy of making an “either/or” out of a “both/and”.

The point of the Covid narrative most certainly, and even chiefly, is the identity of the enemy- and punishing mention of that enemy, namely, the political entity known as the Jews.

If you don’t know your enemy you set yourself up for failure. If you hide your enemy’s identity, how much worse? Fearful recourse to vague descriptors of the enemy such as  “secularizing activists” as Archbishop Charles Chaput refers to it or “progressive ruling class” as Angelo Codevilla does, or again, CJ Hopkins’ “global capitalist empire”, all of these tell us how the enemy works but avoids the “why” which alone explains the “how”.

And avoidance of the why is anti-intellectual. The late Joseph Nicolosi made that point with reference to adopting the word “gay”.  The “Gay” label is anti-intellectual, he wrote. The label told you how you behaved but prohibited discussion of why you were so behaving.

Today, the enemy of a ( now weaponized ) same sex sufferer or a virus sufferer is the same: the political entity known as the Jews. This entity so fears revelation and understanding of its identity that it endlessly hides behind the identities it manufactures for those men and women whom it converts to proxy fighters for itself by weaponizing the weakness it detects in them.

The Jews know their identity and they know its core: rejection of Jesus Christ. Small wonder Hopkins counsels study of Christianity as the plan of action to take.

Not only is it the job of the responsible man to bring up the topic of this our enemy’s identity and its theological character, it is incumbent upon him simultaneously to not allow the enemy to engage in identity theft, via denial and projection, and announce itself the victim and its victim the victimizer. The Jews calls Christians “deplorables” through their buying off of politicians and we deplorables are to accept that the Jews and not God confer upon mankind our identity. So, for example, we are lectured to accept the identity of the “transgendered”— as if the deplorables weren’t the only ones who insisted upon upholding and insisting upon their genuine identity.

In a hurricane, Mr. Hopkins, the safest place to be, counter-intuitively enough, is smack dab right in the middle of the eye of the storm. Therefore, fear not to get to the heart of the matter: point out of the identity of the enemy. Call out the Jews. They have no power that we don’t first afford them through fearing suffering personal loss more than forsaking the truth.

And take heart, it is as the Coen brothers put the point in their movie Miller’s Crossing. To paraphrase: “You don’t run this town, Jews, CJ just thinks you do. Once he stops thinkin’ it, you stop runnin’ it.”

The bottom line is that the UK would have an order of magnitude higher loss of life if it went the Swedish way.

Experts from the University of Toronto and the University of Texas compared mortality rates and cases in 50 different countries worst hit by the pandemic up until May 1, and here’s what they concluded:

Government actions such as border closures, full lockdowns, and a high rate of Covid-19 testing were not associated with statistically significant reductions in the number of critical cases or overall mortality.

Nothing to write home about. Consider that Belgium population density is 15 times higher than Sweden, UK’s 10 times higher and Italy’s 9 times higher.

Population density? According to the above-referenced study, it was population demographics and underlying health – particularly obesity rates – which has determined which countries have been worst-hit by the virus.

The wearing masks outside of an operating room to prevent flu is absurd and is a sign of low intelligence. 3M’s N95 instructions sheet clearly states that they are not medical devices and do not aid in the prevention of illness and disease and are not designed to be worn by children. Decorative cloth masks and bandanas are somewhat effective when cleaning out a dusty attic, attending an outdoor rodeo or a motocross race, but they are wholly medically inadequate against microscopic virus molecules. Voluntarily reducing one’s own oxygen intake by 20% as well as repeatedly inhaling one’s own effluent is dangerous- especially for older adults. Prolonged use of face masks is covered under OSHA work place regulations and these guidelines are being intentionally ignored by lying health department Bolsheviks and their mental monkey political overseers.

    @geokat62

But even for fat Americans, the CDC now estimates the IFR for those under 70 at only 0.18%. As for those who are older, the rate is much higher but depends on how well people care for themselves or are cared for by others if they are unable to care for themselves. So, as sane people have been saying for some time, for the great majority of people, Covid19 is no more deadly than the flu. For old people it is worse, but for young people it is far less dangerous.

The important difference between flu and Covid is in infectiousness. This largely reflects the absence of previously acquired resistance to Covid19. In time, as in New York City now, Covid will be less infectious because of immunity acquired either from past infection or vaccination.

So time now to shut down the fear mongering and return the world to work, school and play before the institutions of civilization are further damaged. The changes in conduct that need to be promoted are precautions against infection that are compatible with the proper functioning of society. That means regulating care homes for the elderly more tightly to prevent the introduction of infection to captive and vulnerable populations, wearing a face mask when you have a cold/flu/whatever, if only to warn others to steer clear, watching what you touch, if obese, losing weight, etc.

I believe they sealed their borders and went full lockdown for a while. And these are Third World countries. Now where would they be in terms of cases and deaths if they had followed the Swedish example? Or maybe you could look at New Zealand for a first world example. Or even Australia. Not that I’m in favour of all that, just saying. Without a social safety net, God knows how many in Thailand have died because of the lockdowns, but that’s another matter.

Both have more cases than Taiwan so no I don’t see your point.

Taiwan has had a shockingly low number of cases given their population density and proximity to China.

They were wearing masks from day one as they have already been through this with SARS.

Sweden would also have fewer cases if they had wore masks from day one.

That doesn’t mean I support requiring masks everywhere. But it makes sense to wear one in a grocery store or doctors office when there is a pandemic.

I’m not for locking everything down but this rejection of masks defies numerous studies. It just doesn’t make any sense that n95 masks can be effective in hospitals but regular masks have 0% effectiveness in other situations. If Trump had encouraged mask use from the beginning he would be waltzing across the finish line. It’s because of his downplaying of the virus that might cost him the election. His indoor rallies were a national embarrassment. I really don’t like Biden which makes this all the more disappointing.

Hate me all you want but Trump would easily win if he listened to experts from the beginning. Biden will probably quit after 3 years so he can be the guy that made a woman president. That still leaves too much to explain like Milan or that Idaho’s outbreak happened in a ski area.

Since everyone knows that Blacks are less likely to follow rules of any type I have no doubt that is a factor.

“It just doesn’t make any sense that n95 masks can be effective in hospitals but regular masks have 0% effectiveness in other situations.”

In my previous comments I already made clear the world of difference between (1) medical professionals working long hours in constant close contact with symptomatic respiratory patients and using professional-grade N95 masks, versus (2) wearing what you call “regular” masks (paper, cloth etc), which are completely worthless against any viral transmission which could occur, and wearing them against the most casual everyday passing contacts where the indoor risk of transmission is low in the first place, and the outdoor risk nonexistent. The fact is that the virus is only rarely transmitted by casual contact, but “regular masks” make no difference either way.

(As for wearing an N95 mask everywhere one goes out of extreme paranoia, as the manufacturer and OSHA regulations and many medical studies attest, the health harms of this would greatly exceed any conceivable benefit. Doctors and nurses on duty wear them only intermittently, only as much as is absolutely necessary, because of the harm of wearing them for too long.)

It’s clear to any sane person that the call to wear face diapers outside a clinical setting is pure social control from the top down and pure superstition among the covid mob. As I’ve recommended many times, if one really needs such a charm, carry a rabbit’s foot instead. It’s less retarded, less obnoxious and anti-social, has no ancillary health detriments, and works 100% as well.

At a 10% COVID-19 prevalence rate, the loss in life expectancy at birth is likely above 1 year in North America and Europe and in Latin America and the Caribbean. In Southeastern Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, one year lost in life expectancy corresponds to an infection prevalence of about 15% and 25%, respectively. Given the uncertainty in fatality rates, with a 50% prevalence of COVID-19 infections under 95% prediction intervals, life expectancy would drop by 3 to 9 years in North America and Europe, by 3 to 8 years in Latin America and the Caribbean, by 2 to 7 years in Southeastern Asia, and by 1 to 4 years in sub-Saharan Africa. In all prevalence scenarios, as long as the COVID-19 infection prevalence rate remains below 1 or 2%, COVID-19 would not affect life expectancy in a substantial manner.

    Interpretation
In regions with relatively high life expectancy, if the infection prevalence threshold exceeds 1 or 2%, the COVID-19 pandemic will break the secular trend of increasing life expectancy, resulting in a decline in period life expectancy. With life expectancy being a key indicator of human development, mortality increase, especially among the vulnerable subgroups of populations, would set a country back on its path of human development.

Using data reported by the New York City Health Department through May 14, 2020, we estimated that the excess deaths to date due to COVID-19 caused a drop in life expectancy of 5 years (95% CI: 4.8 – 5.2 years)

1918 Spanish Influenza, United States: 12 years

You cited a study from when numerous health care authorities were trying to discourage mask use by citizens in an effort to protect supplies for hospitals. I remember them taking that position and being skeptical especially since if in fact it was transmitted just like the flu (they didn’t know) there would benefits from wearing a mask. Since that time there have been numerous studies showing the benefits of regular masks like the salon study I cited.

Of course they lost credibility and for good reason. The entire US health care system lost credibility.

I have no problem if you do not want to trust US health care authorities. I have not trusted them from the beginning. But Taiwan has the better track record and never had to lie about mask use so it doesn’t make sense to dismiss their recommendations. They were wearing masks from day one because they were prepared. Both private and public health care authorities in the US were caught off guard. Our local clinic was actually on the radio asking for hand sanitizer.

A government program was set up to give hospitals here in the U.S. more money for each additional Covid death. Taiwan doesn’t have that. That gives U.S. hospitals a financial incentive to classify more deaths as Covid deaths. Freddie Sayers caught up with Scott Atlas, a healthcare policy academic from the Hoover Institute at Stanford, who has become the latest lightning rod for the controversy around Covid-19 policy and his support for a more targeted response.

Speaking from inside the White House, where he is now Senior advisor to the President and a member of the Coronavirus task force, he does not hold back. He tells us that he is disgusted and dismayed at the media and public policy establishment, sad that it has come to this, cynical about their intentions, and angry that lockdown policies have been allowed to go on so long.

He won’t be rushing back to Stanford, where his colleagues have rounded on him, if the President loses in November.

    KEY QUOTES

    Why him?
I’m a healthcare policy person — I have a background in medical science, but my role really is to translate medial science into public policy. That’s very different from being an epidemiologist or a virologist with a single, limited view on things.

    Dr Fauci
He’s just one person on the task force — there are several people on the task force. His background is virology, immunology and infectious disease. It’s a very different limited approach, and I don’t speak for him.

    Herd immunity policy?
No. It’s a repeated distortion, lie, or whatever you want to call it… What they mean by ‘herd immunity strategy’ is survival of the fittest, let the infection spread through the community and develop a population immunity. That’s never been the policy that I have advised. It’s never even been discussed inside the White House, not even for a single minute. And that’s never been the policy of the President of the United States or anybody else here. I’ve said that many many times… and yet it persists like so many other things, hence the term that the President is fond of using called fake news.

    On herd immunity
Population immunity is a biological phenomenon that occurs. It’s sort of like if you’re building something in your basement: it’s down on the ground because gravity puts it there. It’s not a ‘strategy’ to say that herd immunity exists — it is obtained when a certain percentage of the population becomes resistant or immune to an infection, whether that is by getting infected or getting a vaccine or by a combination of both. In fact, if you don’t that believe herd immunity exists as a way to block the pathways to the vulnerable in an infection, then you would never advocate or believe in giving widespread vaccination — that’s the whole point of it… I’ve explained it to people who seemingly didn’t understand it; I’ve mentioned this radioactive word called herd immunity. But that’s not a strategy that anyone is pursuing.

    What is his policy?
My advice is exactly this. It’s a three-pronged strategy. Number one: aggressive protection of high risk individuals and the vulnerable (typically the elderly and those with co-morbidities). Numbe two: allocate resources so that we prevent hospit overcrowding, so that people can be treated for thi virus and get the other serious medical care that i needed. Number three: open schools, society and businesses because keeping them closed is enormously harmful — in fact it kills people.

    Effect of lockdowns
We must open up because we’re killing people. In the US, 46% of the six most common cancers were not diagnosed during the shutdown… These are people who will present to the hospital or their doctor with later stage disease — many of these people will die. 650,000 Americans are on chemotherapy — half of them didn’t come in for their chemo because they were afraid. Two-thirds of screenings for cancer were not done; half of childhood immunisations did not get done; 85% of living organ transplants did not get done. And then we see the other harms: 200,000 cases plus of child abuse in the US during the two months of spring school closures were not reported because schools are the number one agency where abuse i noticed; we have one out of four American young adults, college age, who thought of killing themselves in the month of June…

All of these harms are massive for the working class and the lower socioeconomic groups. The people who are upper class, who can work from home, the people who can sip their latte and complain that their children are underfoot or that they have to come up with extra money to hire a tutor privately — these are people who are not impacted by the lockdowns.

To the troll Dr. Robert Morgan

Actually, it is a small minority of bought-off corrupted politicians who are making this happen. If they want to prolong their political careers; they have to direct this farce to the final curtain or else.

Christianity is not behind this hoax; the Roman Catholic Church is pulling the strings. Do not confuse the two. The RCC is the heart and soul of your precious Roman Empire as she has inherited that Empire’s imperium.

  320. @John Johnson

Warsaw was bombed because the Poles defending the city refused to surrender it. The British and Americans wouldn’t have done anything differently in the same situation.

  321. @Dr. Robert Morgan

Maybe, you should study the history of the War between the States so you can stop spouting nonsense about it. A significant percentage of that 100% hated a different percentage of that 100% so much, that they fought an uncivilised barbaric war(the only way Yankees know how to fight and win) to subject them to permanently to the behemoth that is Washington D.C.

As for giving the Negro the vote, the tiny percentage of the American population(Black Republicans as they were called) that occupied Capitol Hill, in case you can’t figure that out, I mean Congress, foisted that montrosity on the overthrown American Republic: which, incidentally, proved to be a political benefit to the Republican Party until the advent of Lyndon Johnson to the presidency.

The Cold War, 40 years of containment of Communism around the world

Not really containment. During the Cold War the USA and the West boycotted and placed an arms embargo on Rhodesia and South Africa when these nations were fighting Communist insurgencies armed by the USSR. Both nations are Communist now and in the process of crushing its White populations. Cold War was a just narrative.

  323. kerdasi amaq: “Maybe, you should study the history of the War between the States so you can stop spouting nonsense about it.”

You should take your own advice, and also brush up on your civics, since you appear to be ignorant of that as well.

kerdasi amaq: “A significant percentage of that 100% hated a different percentage of that 100% so much, that they fought an uncivilised barbaric war(the only way Yankees know how to fight and win) to subject them to permanently to the behemoth that is Washington D.C. ”

Wars between Christians have usually been quite vicious. If Christians excel in anything, it’s in hating one another, sometimes for the most trivial of reasons. I can but echo the sentiment expressed by that great Christian monk Arnaud Amalric: “Kill them all and let God sort them out.”

kerdasi amaq: “As for giving the Negro the vote, the tiny percentage of the American population(Black Republicans as they were called) that occupied Capitol Hill, in case you can’t figure that out, I mean Congress, foisted that montrosity on the overthrown American Republic: …”

The “Black Republican” Lincoln became president by winning a crushing victory in the electoral college in 1860. That’s how the system works, and how it was designed to work. After the war, the Reconstruction Amendments granting negroes citizenship and the vote were duly passed and ratified by the elected representatives of the American people. White Christian America passed them, and also has never made even the slightest move in the direction of their repeal. So it’s not a question of anything being foisted upon anyone. Christian insanity caused white people to stick their heads in the noose. They did it and have kept them there freely. Now they’re paying the price.

“My friends, I have detained you about as long as I desired to do, and I have only to say, let us discard all this quibbling about this man and the other man – this race and that race and the other race being inferior, and therefore they must be placed in an inferior position – discarding our standard that we have left us. Let us discard all these things, and united as one people throughout this land, until we shall once more stand up declaring that all men are created equal.”

I wouldn’t call it a breath of fresh air. To speak metaphorically, he certainly isn’t saying get rid of the mask. More like, the mask needs to cover your mouth but not your nose.

    1. The concept of vaccination is to artificially use technology as a short cut to herd immunity. (As for how well that works in practice…)

Meanwhile to use the term “herd immunity” has come to mean letting herd immunity evolve in the natural way. Atlas rightly says that Trump doesn’t support this.

    2. According to Atlas, Trump wants to protect the vulnerable (which the lockdowns never did – by now we have to assume this was deliberate; at any rate to still talk about that is to talk about closing the barn door after the cows are long gone); Atlas STILL is flogging the original lie about overwhelming hospital resources; while waiting for herd immunity.

The only difference from (some of) those who call for “herd immunity” is that Trump is gung ho about the vaccine prospect, and therefore with the techno-totalitarian Gates/Schwab agenda. There he’s 100% sympatico with the Democrat lockdownists.

A rival to the USA? In 1914 yes, in 1933 definitely not. After a few years under the leadership of the “cave dweller” they were however once more a threat and the mighty USA ganged up with the other major powers to take them down once more.

The greatest example of failure I can think of is to win two World Wars, and still submit to enemy subjugation without a fight.

Masks made Czech Republic the envy of Europe. Now they’ve blown it
    https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/19/europe/czech-republic-coronavirus-intl/index.html

They did well because they responded relatively earlier when they had much lower infection rate than UK, Italy or Spain. Their countermeasures like mask, distancing and lockdowns were very effective. Very low loss of life. And indeed they blew it later by celebrating the success too soon. However they gained time. Now when they are being hit with what can be called the 2nd wave medical treatment has improved significantly and one can assume that they will take special care to reduce infection rate among elderly just as it is happening in the UK, so the IFR will be much lower than what it was in the early stage of epidemic in Italy, Spain or UK. However they may run into the problem of overwhelming their hospital and shortage of beds. IMO, they should have gone into a strict lockdown 2-3 weeks ago just like Israel.

The prudent few saw the shell game from the beginning. The warning indicator being the 24/7 pimps who flogged the sham. A cold look at the stats would have revealed that infections were irrelevant and that DEATHS were the real parameter to be used ie versus population. The cat was out of the bag once 90 year olds who slipped on a banana skin, busted their skull wide open while suffering a simultaneous heart attack and stroke and dying were deemed dead from the virus.

He certainly is saying get rid of the mask.

    Starting @34:25:

Scott Atlas – Things like universal mask-wearing… honestly, that is something completely contrary to the science as well as common sense. To think that you must wear a mask when you’re in the middle of a desert, when you’re in your car alone driving, when you’re bicycling through St. James park… this kind of stuff is nonsense.

Host: Would you not mandate masks, anywhere?

Scott Atlas – Absolutely, not widespread mask mandates. Look, you can look at LA county or Miami Dade county, many states in the US, the Philippines, Spain, France, the UK, all over the world, mandating masks for the population does not stop cases . That is just super naive, wrong, and just garbage science, really. And there is no science that supports that. And the WHO does not recommend widespread mandatory masks. The NIH does not recommend that. The CDC data itself shows that it doesn’t work. So, that’s sort of bordering on wearing a copper bracelet, as far as I’m concerned. I do think that masks have a role and that’s in medicine… we wear masks for surgical procedures. And the reason you wear a mask is when you’re very close to somebody or a sterile environment like an open incision, you want to stop a cough, you want to stop a droplet from getting in and infecting somebody. But that’s very different from breathing around a piece of cloth or even a medical mask. There’s no evidence that if you’re not… If you’re socially distanced, there’s no reason to wear a mask. If you’re on the subway – I’m just thinking practically here – if you’re in a subway, you’re in the tube in London and you’re a high risk person, ok, I’d be afraid, I’d probably wouldn’t go into the subway, if I were a high risk person in London. But I would contemplate, I would use a mask for close proximity to somebody who might cough on me or who I might cough onto. So, yes, I think there’s a reasonable policy about masks, but widespread universal masks? That is pseudoscience.

I did say “metaphorically speaking”, and that quote’s pretty good on the literal masking, especially as an example of how dementedly 100% upside down and wrong lockdowns have been: The VULNERABLE should have been protected, and should be assessing the riskiness of situations. Other than that society as a whole never should have changed a single thing, no more than they ever did for the comparable flu.

Copper bracelets is good. I always tell the wingnuts they should just carry a rabbit’s foot. It’s less stupid and obnoxious than a mask, unlike the mask has no health drawbacks and is 100% as effective.

He’s still touting the hex spacing though even though that has even less scientific basis as a universal policy than masking, and is just as psychotically anti-human.

The VULNERABLE should have been protected

But it was national and state policy to force Covid19 into care homes. The reason? To stoke panic, to allow liars to claim that the disease was vastly more dangerous than influenza, and thus to justify shutting down the economy.

  334. canspeccy says: • Website

The VULNERABLE should have been protected

No, no. You have that exactly wrong. The whole point of national and state authorities forcing Covid19 into care homes was to create a high mortality rate with which to terrify the population and justify lockdowns. And the purpose of the lockdowns is to “set ourselves on a new and more sustainable course,” which is to say a lower standard of living for the mass of mankind, with a larger share of income going to the big boys, especially the tech cos. who are developing our CCP-style Brave New World system of moment by moment social surveillance and control.

Virus particulates breach the seal around the face, and the virus particulates are too small for the porous mask fabric to be effective. Why do Covidian Cultists persist in this mask mythology that deprive a wearer of needed oxygen? The makers of the N95 and KN95 masks state that they are not medical devices, yet somehow in the mind of the Covidian, these paper-cloth blend masks, bandanas, and other decorative doll diapers sold on ebay, Amazon and at Wal-Mart morph into bio-hazard accessories. Despotic social control works best on an ignorant population that seeks comfort in absurdity.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Catholics aren’t “true” Christians, nor are Protestants. Only you and your friends are the “true” ones. If you have any friends, that is. More likely, it’s just you. I hate to break it to you, but you are not the one who gets to decide who is a Christian and who isn’t. Face it, Christians have been fighting about who the “true” Christians are for two thousand years, and the act is getting stale.

  337. @canspeccy

Um, try to pay attention – I said what would have been done by a system that was on the level as proof that this system is not.

The fact that the opposite was done is proof that the terror-lockdown campaign was always a malign assault with ulterior motives, including the deliberate Nazi-type euthanasia program in the care homes.

  338. Wielgus says:

A thing I have noticed about masks is that I can’t wear cloth ones at least for more than ten minutes or so without having breathing difficulties. For example if I go into a shop wearing one I cannot stay inside too long because I need to go outside, take the mask off and gulp some fresh air. It may be that I have breathing issues I didn’t know I had before this nonsense started, but it suggests to me the masks bring health issues of their own.
More an irritant, but if I wear glasses with a mask, the lenses tend to fog up.
