So the War on Populism is finally over. Go ahead, take a wild guess who won.

I’ll give you a hint. It wasn’t the Russians, or the white supremacists, or the gilets jaunes, or Jeremy Corbyn’s Nazi Death Cult, or the misogynist Bernie Bros, or the MAGA-hat terrorists, or any of the other real or fictional “populist” forces that global capitalism has been waging war on for the last four years.

What? You weren’t aware that global capitalism was fighting a War on Populism? That’s OK, most other folks weren’t. It wasn’t officially announced or anything. It was launched in the summer of 2016, just as the War on Terror was ending, as a sequel to the War on Terror, or a variation on the War on Terror, or continuation of the War on Terror, or … whatever, it doesn’t really matter anymore, because now we’re fighting the War on Death, or the War on Minor Cold-like Symptoms, depending on your age and general state of health.

That’s right, folks, once again, global capitalism (a/k/a “the world”) is under attack by an evil enemy. GloboCap just can’t catch a break. From the moment it defeated communism and became a global ideological hegemon, it has been one evil enemy after another.

No sooner had it celebrated winning the Cold War and started ruthlessly restructuring and privatizing everything than it was savagely attacked by “Islamic terrorists,” and so was forced to invade Iraq and Afghanistan, and kill and torture a lot of people, and destabilize the entire Middle East, and illegally surveil everybody, and … well, you remember the War on Terror.

Then, just as the War on Terror seemed to be finally winding down, and the only terrorists left were the “self-radicalized” terrorists (many of whom weren’t even actual terrorists), and it looked like GloboCap was finally going to be able to finish privatizing and debt-enslaving everything and everyone in peace, wouldn’t you know it, we were attacked again, this time by the global conspiracy of Russian-backed, neo-fascist “populists” that caused the Brexit and elected Trump, and tried to elect Corbyn and Bernie Sanders, and loosed the gilets jaunes on France, and who’ve been threatening the “fabric of Western democracy” with dissension-sowing Facebook memes.

Unfortunately, unlike the War on Terror, the War on Populism didn’t go that well. After four years of fighting, GloboCap (a/k/a the neoliberal Resistance) had … OK, they had snuffed both Corbyn and Sanders, but they had totally blown the Russiagate psyop, and so were looking at four more years of Trump, and Lord knows how many of Johnson in the U.K. (which had actually left the European Union), and the gilets jaunes weren’t going away, and, basically, “populism” was still on the rise (if not in reality, in hearts and minds).

And so, just as the War on Populism had replaced (or redefined) the War on Terror, the War on Death has been officially launched to replace (or redefine) the War on Populism … which means (you guessed it), once again, it’s time to roll out another “brave new normal.”

The character of this brave new normal is, at this point, unmistakably clear … so clear that most people cannot see it, because their minds are not prepared to accept it, so they do not recognize it, though they are looking right at it. Like Dolores in the Westworld series, “it doesn’t look like anything” to them. To the rest of us, it looks rather totalitarian.

In the span of approximately 100 days, the entire global capitalist empire has been transformed into a de facto police state. Constitutional rights have been suspended. Most of us are under house arrest. Police are rounding up anyone not cooperating with the new emergency measures. They are pulling riders off of public transportation, arresting people whose papers aren’t in order, harrassing, beating, intimidating, and arbitrarily detaining anyone they decide is “a danger to public health.”

Authorities are openly threatening to forcibly pull people out of their homes and quarantine them. Cops are hunting down runaway grandmothers. They’re raiding services in churches and synagogues. Citizens are being forced to wear ankle monitors. Families out for a walk are being menaced by robots and Orwellian drones.

Counterterrorism troops have been deployed to deal with non-compliant “rule breakers.” Anyone the U.S. authorities deem to have “intentionally spread the coronavirus” can be arrested and charged as a coronavirus terrorist. Artificial intelligence firms are working with governments to implement systems to log and track our contacts and movements. As a recent Foreign Policy article put it:

“The counterterrorism analogy is useful because it shows the direction of travel of pandemic policy. Imagine a new coronavirus patient is detected. Once he or she tests positive, the government could use cell-phone data to trace everyone he or she has been in close proximity to, perhaps focusing on those people who were in contact for more than a few minutes. Your cell-phone signal could then be used to enforce quarantine decisions. Leave your apartment and the authorities will know. Leave your phone behind and they will call you. Run the battery down and a police car will be at your door in a manner of minutes …”

I could go on, but I think you get the picture, or … well, you either do or you don’t.

And that is the really terrifying part of the War on Death and our “brave new normal” … not so much the totalitarianism. (Anyone who’s been paying attention is not terribly shocked by GloboCap’s decision to implement a global police state. The simulation of democracy is all fine and good, until the unwashed masses start to get unruly, and require a reminder of who’s in charge, which is what we are being treated to currently.)

No, the terrifying part is how millions of people immediately switched off their critical faculties, got into line, and started goose-stepping, and parroting hysterical propaganda, and reporting their neighbors to the police for going outside for a walk or jog (and then sadistically shrieked abuse down at them like the Goodbye Jews Girl in Schindler’s List as they were wrestled to the ground and arrested).

They are out there, right now, on the Internet, millions of these well-meaning fascists, patrolling for signs of the slightest deviation from the official coronavirus narrative, bombarding everyone with meaningless graphs, decontextualized death statistics, X-rays of fibrotic lungs, photos of refrigerated morgue trucks, mass graves, and other sensationalistic horrors intended to short-circuit critical thinking and shut down any and all forms of dissent.

Although undeniably cowardly and sickening, this kind of behavior is also not shocking. Sadly, when you terrorize people enough, the majority will regress to their animal instincts. It isn’t a question of ethics, or politics. It is purely a question of self-preservation. When you cancel the normal structure of society and place everyone in a “state of emergency” … well, it’s like what happens in a troop of chimpanzees when the alpha chimp dies or is killed by a challenger. The other chimps run around hooting and grimacing until it’s clear who the new dominant primate is, then they bend over to demonstrate their submission.

Totalitarians understand this. Sadists and cult leaders understand this. When the people you are dominating get unruly, and start questioning your right to dominate them, you need to fabricate a “state of emergency” and make everyone feel very afraid, so that they turn (or return) to you for protection from whatever evil enemy is out there, threatening the cult, or the Fatherland, or whatever. Then, once they’ve returned to the fold, and stopped questioning your right to dominate them, you can introduce a new set of rules that everybody needs to follow to prevent this kind of thing happening again.

This is obviously what is happening at the moment. But what you probably want to know is … why is it happening? And why is it happening at this precise moment?

Lucky for you, I have a theory.

No, it doesn’t involve Bill Gates, Jared Kushner, the WHO, and a global conspiracy of Chinese Jews defiling our precious bodily fluids with their satanic-alien 5G technology. It’s a little less exciting and more abstract than that (although some of those characters are probably part of it … all right, probably not the Chinese Jews, or the Satanic-Alien Illuminati).

See, I try to focus more on systems (like global capitalism) than on individuals. And on models of power rather than the specific people in power at any given time. Looking at things that way, this global lockdown and our brave new normal makes perfect sense. Stay with me now … this gets kind of heady.

What we are experiencing is a further evolution of the post-ideological model of power that came into being when global capitalism became a global-hegemonic system after the collapse of the Soviet Union. In such a global-hegemonic system, ideology is rendered obsolete. The system has no external enemies, and thus no ideological adversaries. The enemies of a global-hegemonic system by definition can only be internal. Every war becomes an insurgency, a rebellion breaking out within the system, as there is no longer any outside.

As there is no longer any outside (and thus no external ideological adversary), the global-hegemonic system dispenses with ideology entirely. Its ideology becomes “normality.” Any challenge to “normality” is henceforth regarded as an “abnormality,” a “deviation from the norm,” and automatically delegitimized. The system does not need to argue with deviations and abnormalities (as it was forced to argue with opposing ideologies in order to legitimize itself). It simply needs to eliminate them. Opposing ideologies become pathologies … existential threats to the health of the system.

In other words, the global-hegemonic system (i.e., global capitalism) becomes a body, the only body, unopposed from without, but attacked from within by a variety of opponents … terrorists, extremists, populists, whoever. These internal opponents attack the global-hegemonic body much like a disease, like a cancer, an infection, or a virus. And the global-hegemonic body reacts like any other body would.

Is this model starting to sound familiar?

I hope so, because that is what is happening right now. The system (i.e., global capitalism, not a bunch of guys in a room hatching a scheme to sell vaccines) is reacting to the last four years of populist revolt in a predictable manner. GloboCap is attacking the virus that has been attacking its hegemonic body. No, not the coronavirus. A much more destructive and multiplicitous virus … resistance to the hegemony of global capitalism and its post-ideological ideology.

If it isn’t already clear to you yet that this coronavirus in no way warrants the totalitarian emergency measures that have been imposed on most of humanity, it will be become clear in the months ahead. Despite the best efforts of the “health authorities” to count virtually anything as “a Covid-19 death,” the numbers are going to tell the tale. The “experts” are already memory-holing, or recalibrating, or contextualizing, their initial apocalyptic projections. The media are toning down the hysteria. The show isn’t totally over yet, but you can feel it gradually coming to an end.

In any event, whenever it happens, days, weeks, or months from now, GloboCap will dial down the totalitarianism, and let us out, so we can go back to work in whatever remains of the global economy … and won’t we all be so very grateful! There will be massive celebrations in the streets, Italian tenors singing on balconies, chorus lines of dancing nurses! The gilets jaunes will call it quits, the Putin-Nazis will stop with the memes, and Americans will elect Joe Biden president!

Or, all right, maybe not that last part, but, the point is, it will be a brave new normal! People will forget all that populism nonsense, and just be grateful for whatever McJobs they can get to be able to pay the interest on their debts, because, hey … global capitalism isn’t so bad compared to living under house arrest!

And, if not, no problem for GloboCap. They’ll just have to lock us down again, and keep locking us down, over and over, indefinitely, until we get our minds right. I mean, it’s not like we’re going to do anything about it … right? Didn’t we just demonstrate that? Sure, we’ll bitch and moan again, but then they’ll whip out those pictures of mass graves and death trucks, and the graphs, and all those scary projections, and the Blockwart-hotlines will start ringing again, and …

Where I live (Alberta, Canada), there have been 44 deaths from supposed COVID19. Fully half have been at two long-term care facilities in Calgary (people in their 80s and 90s and suffering from other ailments). Yet the entire province has been shut down except for ‘essential’ services (grocery stores, pharmacies, liquor and cannabis stores?). Even though Alberta isn’t a hotbed of protest (unless you talk about PRO oil company and PRO pipelines protests) our ‘leaders’ have been told to play ball and scare the populace. Now you have private citizens ratting out their neighbors who are breaking quarantine rules. Thank you Mr. Hopkins for an excellent article.

  3. We should factor in this risk: that we are being lied to about this whole “pandemic”. There is a precedent that will upset many, the AIDS fraud. Yes, Virginia, HIV has never been proven to make anyone sick. The inventor of the process employed in AIDS testing as well as Covid19 tests, Dr. Kary Mullis, has declared in no uncertain terms, that using his process to diagnose disease is a fraud. He also offered a $50,000 reward to anyone who could produce a study proving HIV was the cause of AIDS. It was never claimed. If the test tests nothing, is totally meaningless as a diagnostic tool, we have no proof that a corona type virus is the cause of any reported deaths. Let that sink in.

Whether governments or individuals are acting in good faith remains to be seen. The CCP would obviously welcome the opportunity to “clean house”, given recent protests. A pandemic is a good cover for tightening up the ranks and rounding up malcontents. Ditto for Iran. Western governments too, are cautiously rolling out their Orwellian “bucket lists”. Bill Gates, already dying to jab everyone with a poison syringe, probably needs to change his drawers. “Population reduction” gives him a stiffy. The AIDS scam has netted over $900 billion over its lifespan. The new scam already has around $10 billion, to fight an illusory foe. And one of the lead AIDS con-men, Tony Fauci, is back to lead the new feeding frenzy.

So we are not looking at a “failure”. We are looking at a tremendous success (so far) for medical grifters, deep state control freaks, and neo-Malthusian oligarchs. The biggest winners are the eCONomy racketeers, who have received trillions in bailouts (socialism for the rich) from the world CB’s.

What will I do about it? This little act of defiance. When out I, will wear a mask, only mine will have “fake flu” emblazoned on it.

  4. The “experts” are already memory-holing, or recalibrating, or contextualizing, their initial apocalyptic projections. The media are toning down the hysteria. The show isn’t totally over yet, but you can feel it gradually coming to an end.

Yes, exactly. The “purpose” of the shutdown wasn’t the shutdown, but to “flatten the curve,” stretching out the number of cases so that the healthcare system would not collapse. Then people who would not have died normally would die.

The healthcare system has bent, but not broken, Even in NYC. In Germany, the system is nowhere near collapse. But now the goalposts have shifted, as Ron Unz writes in this comment: “The reasons for the lockdowns and quarantines are to keep the Coronavirus from spreading everywhere else.”

  5. mh505 says:

And even those will be grossly overstated – what a joke.

Starting in the late 80s, when the world entered a transformational period due to the fall of the Soviet Union, it was clear that the next global economic & financial crisis, a real depression if not a Mad Max scenario, was only a matter of time. It took longer than expected, but here we are.

However, and although expecting the worst, I would never have dreamed that such a universal lockdown would be possible. And to the best of my knowledge, this is a very first in recorded history.

Thank you for a great essay; as always.

  6. @Thekid

Yup. Rates of mortality (from all causes) will be shown to have remained pretty much the same everywhere during this “pandemic.” We all (healthy or sick) have coronaviruses (including often CoVid-19) in us. What is different now is that, if we die, their mere presence is all too conveniently (and mistakenly) cited as the cause of our death.

  7. I wish after reading this piece that I could also read CJ in an alternative realm where the united response of GloboCap to the pandemic leaned toward stressing the vital need of keeping the highly interdependent economy intact while managing as best as possible the terrible short-term consequences of the virus to the elderly and those with significant comorbidities. Here I suppose he’d have even better material for a rousing takedown.

  8. Last August, I read this article
    https://www.investmentwatchblog.com/the-real-reasons-why-the-media-is-suddenly-admitting-to-the-recession-threat/

I sent it to my investment advisor and asked to talk to him after he read it. We agreed that this sounded like a plan was in place, and the only question was when. I took steps to mitigate.
    The virus itself is real.
Whence it came will likely never be known.
    Its affects are overstated.
The panic over the virus and its source are a distraction for what will be the greatest wealth transfer in history.

  13. I wish you would clarify that GlobalCap is actually GlobalCrony, using ‘capitalism’ in the same way as Thackeray. It has nothing to do with competition, free markets, laissez-faire, or anything remotely resembling voluntary exchange: it’s anti-competitive.

the terrifying part is how millions of people immediately switched off their critical faculties, got into line, and started goose-stepping, and parroting hysterical propaganda

It’s hard to be ‘terrified’ by something so utterly predictable: humans have been domesticated – for the most part they’re sheep, not goats – and the vast bulk of the population are retards.

There has been an observable pattern of enstupidation of the human herd – breeding out intellect by subsidising reproduction of Deltas, then feeding them shit that switches on metabolic syndrome (and using chemicals to blitz the brain of any kid who shows any defiance). And (in the US) making them say a silly prayer to a bit of coloured cloth.

It’s the old (apocryphal) trope that a lot of young soldiers hear: there’s bromide in the mashed potatoes.

Since we’re all at home now… just try watching morning TV ‘chat’ shows: they are more condescending than 1970s Sesame Street (Australians might recall “Play School“): that’s the mental level aimed for, for TV aimed at housewives (the people who raise children; their obese variants are over-represented in government child-detention-centres [‘schools’]).

In times past, aristocrats used to have a special salt shaker for the kids – bromine salts being a sedative.

People will forget all that populism nonsense, and just be grateful for whatever McJobs they can get to be able to pay the interest on their debts, because, hey … global capitalism isn’t so bad compared to living under house arrest!

Hard to imagine that happening in Americastan, where the economy has been completely destroyed by the lockdown. We’ll be lucky ‘merely’ to have Great Depression levels of unemployment when this madness finally ends.

For all the MAGApedes out there: Trump had better be seen to be fighting the lockdown-shysters, not acquiescing to them, if he wants to get re-elected. If he spends the summer continuing to genuflect before Dr. Falsie, Trump is toast come November.

  17. @Bragadocious

I never really thought of Unz as a libertarian, but just the same, I was surprised–and a bit disappointed–to see him fall for this Corona-hoax so thoroughly. Maybe he’ll come to his senses once someone points out to him what is (not) happening in countries like Sweden, Belarus and Iceland.

Unz isn’t the only one who’s lost it over this, unfortunately. ‘b’ over at Moon of Alabama has rounded the bend as well. In the meantime, if anyone else here needs reliable updates on the Corona-hoax, I have found the following sources to be quite good on this subject (and much else):

  18. Kali says:

Very descriptive, our most valued CJ Hopkins. Thank you for your thoughts and insight. Once gain.

It occurred to me a short while ago that, in a few days time, many people will be coming out of self-quarantine, complete with a whole new perspective.
Recognising the great danger we face.
(As for those who choose to remain imprisoned by obvious propaganda, that has to be their choice.) If’so my firm belief that huge swathes of people all around the world are right now absorbing huge amounts of information, and “conspiracy theiries” the never seemed plausible before, suddenly make a lot more sense.

My mother returned to Great Britain from Oz a few days ago. As a precaution and a courtesy to others, she’s been self quarantined since… alone… reading, questioning, realising the dangers we face are greater than any aledged “pandemic”. Even my hard arsed brother is paying attention!
The same is generally true of those within my small circle of perception.

So, all of these people emerging from their period of isolation, knowing a hell of a lot more than they did before, could prove to be quite a movement!

That’s why, I’very decided to try to organise the biggest, brightest celebration of our common humanity, intelligence and Love! A world-wide party like the world has never seen before.
Call me idealistic if you will, but the way I see it is great masses of people will either riot, or they may dance, as the pitiful edifice of the global power structure crumples. – Even cops like to move to the rhythm. As do soldiers.

Did you know that during every successful revolution, the army have always sided with the people, followed by the dimmer-witted cops? Well, that’s what I heard anyway.

And let’s face it CJ, what else are we going to do? Personally I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees. And in these particularlying brutal circumstance, I’d rather plan a party (a huge great planet loving, unifying, party, like the world has never seen. – well, it could grow that big if we keep going until it is that big! – Or we can roll over and leave a litterally Orwellian world for our children…)

    But I digress.

You may or may not know this, but there are huge (and small) parties which happen around the world, year after year, all the time, which go on for days at a time. They include great and small field kitchens, within which good wholesome food is produced, healing spaces and quiet places, camping, caravaning and skilled crews to build infrastructure, very often on the fly, as well as teach workshops. (Called festivals or trance parties (think of the dance scene in The Matrix, before the war against the machine).

So it is not entirely out of the realms of possibility that we can pull of something self-sustainable, which can expand to include greater numbers as the people are drawn to the music, the freedom, and their innate will to be with others in a spirit of mutual support.

So, what I’m basically saying, is that all is not lost just yet. There is a small light, shining through a small window of opportunity… all we need to do is get the word out. 😉 I reckon we’ve got about a week or 2 to pull it all together. Might as well, eh?

    With much love,
    Kali.

” What? You weren’t aware that global capitalism was fighting a War on Populism? That’s OK, most other folks weren’t.”
So the Oligarchy thinks, right, you working class shit, we’re gonna tear the nose off our face to spite YOU.
The fact that (say) Trump has had to be dragged kicking & screaming to do anything about the virus is beside the point.
The fact that the 1% is rolling the dice on its own power & wealth – well, again, beside the point.
Wall street will come out smelling of roses — probably. Lets just hope that that quadrillion & a half of derivatives doesn’t do a grand melt down.
Nor lets forget that many main street Co’s are now looking down the barrel. Co’s who owe billions & billions to Wall St.
And economically, we’re not even at the beginning of the beginning…

  30. There are similarities in C.J. Hopkins’ argument to the warnings about the “Therapeutic State” by Thomas Szasz in many of his works. Here’s a bit of the description from Wikipedia:

The “Therapeutic State” is a phrase coined by Szasz in 1963.[21] The collaboration between psychiatry and government leads to what Szasz calls the therapeutic state, a system in which disapproved actions, thoughts, and emotions are repressed (“cured”) through pseudomedical interventions.[22][23]:17 Thus suicide, unconventional religious beliefs, racial bigotry, unhappiness, anxiety, shyness, sexual promiscuity, shoplifting, gambling, overeating, smoking, and illegal drug use are all considered symptoms or illnesses that need to be cured.[23]:17 When faced with demands for measures to curtail smoking in public, binge-drinking, gambling or obesity, ministers say that “we must guard against charges of nanny statism.”[24] The “nanny state” has turned into the “therapeutic state” where nanny has given way to counselor.[24] Nanny just told people what to do; counselors also tell them what to think and what to feel.[24] The “nanny state” was punitive, austere, and authoritarian, the therapeutic state is touchy-feely, supportive – and even more authoritarian.[24]

According to Szasz, “the therapeutic state swallows up everything human on the seemingly rational ground that nothing falls outside the province of health and medicine, just as the theological state had swallowed up everything human on the perfectly rational ground that nothing falls outside the province of God and religion.”[25]:515

Well, I’m not so sure I’m reasonable. I am pointing out the bait-and-switch, even engaged in by Ron Unz. I assume there’s no way to kill the virus now that it has spread as widely as it has. I also disagreed with the lockdown, but we did it and paid the price in economic crash. We have not, anywhere, suffered a meltdown of the healthcare system, so almost all the people who’ve died were presumably not saveable: in other words, they weren’t people who could have been saved, if we had had a ventilator for them.

If this virus does kill .3% of the people it infects, that’s going to kill 1MM people in the USA if they get it. “Flatten the curve” still meant those people were going to die; that was the official policy adopted a while ago.

Ron and Steve really want to “crush the curve.” Frankly, so do I. We disagree on tactics, because the ridiculous shutdown of everyone, not just the vulnerable, causes distrust of any measure. But a shutdown that quarantines the vulnerable still leaves them vulnerable, and as we have seen, a lot of them will die.

Better, perhaps, to get to the point where we test, literally, everybody, and we quarantine literally everyone infected with this, until the damn thing dies. That means ramping up testing, assuming we have an accurate test to determine if someone is infected, and getting VERY intrusive on people in public spaces.

  32. Another aspect of this article that resembles most pieces of this type is that all humans are dumb, ruminant animals. Cows. Sheep Stupid. Fearful. Easily spooked.

And the corollary is that only the writers of these articles and the hipster commenters who agree with these type of articles, these people are the ONLY members of the human race who are not dumb, ruminant animals.

Only THEY are different.THEY are the smart ones. THEY are not part of the herd.

The worldview that most people are stupid is probably false. Ok, it’s possible you, smarty pants writer of this article, are one of the elites who are so much smarter than everyone else.

While we are led to the slaughterhouses, you are up there somewhere crowing like ravens your warnings. But of course, we are too stupid to heed your warnings..

  33. Run the battery down and a police car will be at your door in a manner of minutes …

I don’t own a miniaturized Grindr Account Access Portal (or “smart phone”), and I generally keep my 2011 flip phone turned off anyway. And I would happily hammer it into slag, if this became the status quo, and while most others would perhaps not follow my example, millions certainly would. Any form of totalitarianism that is dependent on choosing to purchase a monitoring device, will run into problems as soon as the burden of carrying the monitoring device exceeds the advantages of carrying it about. I mean, girls will never stop using their phones of course. No one really cares about monitoring girls, however. Unless the CIA suddenly takes an interest in bad hip-hop, or something.

Leave your phone behind and they will call you.

If I leave my house without my phone, no one would ever know (and the people using it to spy on me, would presumably assume I was still at home). Isn’t this how it would be for everyone?

Hard to imagine that happening in Americastan, where the economy has been completely destroyed by the lockdown. We’ll be lucky ‘merely’ to have Great Depression levels of unemployment when this madness finally ends.

Frankly, that sounds like hysteria. I remember when my upper-middle-class twit “friend” moved out of his apartment like two days before he had another apartment arranged, and he was all over AOL (this was a few years back), bragging about how he now understood the plight of the homeless (while he was attending the U.C. San Francisco law school at the time, because of course he was). His “homelessness” reminds me a lot of today’s “mass unemployment”. My stepson works in a warehouse, and while most of their employees have been technically “laid off”, the management fully expects to rehire every single one, once the crisis is over (and then plans to try to hire more people, because frankly they were short on staff before the outbreak). Being temporarily furloughed during a public health crisis ain’t quite the same thing as being a hobo ridin’ the rails in 1934.

CJ [is] in complete disagreement with alleged libertarian Ron Unz

There is a real phenomenon of a “Great Corona Political Cross-Cut.” It is not much remarked upon, given the total control of discourse almost everywhere by the pro-CoronaPanic side. It is a new layer of division which slices straight across the old.

The pro-CoronaPanic vs. anti-CoronaPanic divide (the latter Ron Unz calls “Coronavirus Hoaxers”) appears almost completely unrelated to previous lines of division. I’m still not sure what causes this. There must be partly a personality-type aspect to it, I don’t know. (I don’t know others’ reasoning for being pro-CoronaPanic; I know for sure only my own process of coming to the realization that this was wrong, a media-led, bad data fiasco, the Shutdowns a giant mistake. It seems to me more than anything like a mass-conversion to an apocalypse cult, led by the media) The divide is quite evident on this very website.

The divide is also visible offline. Never before, in near five years of Trump in politics (since the mid-June 2015 “they’re not sending their best” speech) have I heard so many anti-Trump people come out and say he is right about something, siding with him openly, to the extent that if the election were a referendum on Corona Shutdowns, Biden=Pro, Trump=Anti, they would’ve even probably voted Trump.

I refer to when DJT was perceived as being against the Shutdowns. He suddenly had lots of unlikely support. Then he, too, caved in the maniacal Shutdown-pushers (who, I am more confident than ever, will be proven conclusively wrong, by the ongoing natural-experiment of Sweden and very much else). If the pro-Shutdown vs. anti-Shutdown division is re-emerging, the Corona Political Cross-Cut will, too.

I don’t know why Ron Unz sided with the Shutdown-pushers. Commenter Achmed E. Newman probably got it right:

Ron Unz been a silly stubborn math-modeling-maniac about this Kung Flu. OTOH, he has let both sides on this “Corona Soft Coup d’Etat”* publish articles. That is very admirable.

    He is wrong.
    There will be no apologies.
    That is all.

[…] Mr. Unz [has] been just searching for truth. [But] in all the wrong places […]

Yes, Mr. b is on another one way track. He has a tendency to obsess and fixate on certain things; Yang Gang and UBI, a pervert named Anglin, The Joker, and other strange courses of thought and concentration.

He also appears to have a real issue with the Founding Fathers, Liberty, Freedom, Capitalism and any other basic American concept. While I understand the limits and pitfalls of our system as it was devised and implemented, I maintain that it is still better than an authoritarian regime that rules by decree rather than by popular sentiment. As originally envisioned, our State governments would have been directly responsible for the welfare of the citizens and the State officials would have been accountable to the electorate. The Federal government would have been a referee and a liaison between the States and a collective representation to foreign governments.

Truthfully, without the indoctrination centers that masquerade as educational institutions, people are fairly good at using their own judgement about what is right and wrong or what is good and bad. The Federal government simply overrides the majority in favor of the minority in a distorted interpretation of fairness, regardless of how reckless and harmful their policies may be to those who oppose them.

Personally, I believe God gave us a free will and he admonished us about how we exercise it. It seems that the government will not allow us the same discretion. We are restricted and punished for what we might do, or for what someone else did. I am a firm believer in personal choice and in accepting responsibility. You may make errors, but you must be prepared to own up to them and bear the consequences.

Mr. b seems to yearn for a strict dictatorship that oversees every aspect of our lives. He doesn’t appear to be concerned about returning to work, because he likely doesn’t. I am fairly certain that he lives the life of Reilly, sitting around his house most of the time anyway; reading and blogging. The only freedom that he would get indignant about losing would be his webpage being shut down.

I am beginning to wonder if he has made some sort of deal to hype the Corona propaganda in exchange for getting whatever Trumped up legal troubles he was facing with Charlottesville to quietly go away.

My mask is a pair of aquatic goggles and a snorkel with a roll of toilet paper marked “Corona Filter” attached to the end. For some unfathomable reason, the Negroes seem to get upset about it. Other people either laugh, shake their heads in disapproval, or their mouths drop with incredulity. Or, maybe they just think me idiotic. But, the Negroes have been visibly angered by my display. One walked within inches of me twice with his chest all puffed out, muttering, “‘scuse muh,” each time. I overheard a Black security guard ask a White female manager of a grocery store, “You alright with that?” He was apparently disappointed when she told him that she thought it was funny. Another Negro walked up to me and in a very serious fashion said he wanted to ask me a question. I looked over at him in anticipation and he quickly changed his mind. He must have suddenly realized that I would run intellectual circles around him, and that his attempt to berate me in front of his friends would not have gone well for him. I think that (and, this was my experience with them in school) they just can’t stand for a White Man to be funny, clever or to get more attention than they do.

Haven’t you noticed that the law does not apply and they can make up any rule they want and enforce it? They could simply say you must have a smart phone, even if you don’t know how to use one, that it must be switched on all the time and that you must answer every call from a certain government number, and if not heavy fines, jail, whatever. In some places they are fining people for not wearing masks even if there are no masks to be bought. Really it’s all up to them and not up to you.

This is bothering me to. It applies maybe to the sort of people calling the police on other people taking walks, though I suspect this is due to a desire to be a bully instead of ignorance. It may have applied at earlier times when the elites consulted with ordinary people about these things. At this point how gullible the general public is is irrelevant.

Take my situation. Intellectually, I fall on the tin foil side of things in this matter, but in practice I am complying with the restrictions like everyone else. If everything other than grocery stores and pharmacies are closed, I can’t go anywhere. As am employee, I can’t show up for work at a closed office. There is no point trying to travel to another location if everything is closed there anyway. If I owned a business I could maybe attempt to defy the restrictions, but we are still at the stage where these attempts would get slapped down pretty quickly.

Civil disobedience and resistance has actually started in a few locations, such as Berlin, but its probably way too early for that. We are not sure if this is a dress rehearsal for a later crackdown, a situation where some restrictions will be lifted and others kept permanently, or if this is really meant to be permanent. We will get a better idea by the end of June. But in practice there is no difference between someone who things this is a deep state ruse and someone who things the lockdown is necessary to avert the bubonic plague, except for internet comments.

Martin Armstrong (economist) https://www.armstrongeconomics.com considers that a banking-induced economic collapse was utterly inevitable because of the REPO crisis and the massive derivative losses. Thus the lockdowns were brought in to induce economic collapse, and the CV hysteria, using a common virus with a fancy label was successfully used as as the cover : thus the frightened herd will blame “The Virus” for the oncoming depression and Wall Street can continue to rake in hundreds of billions.

Even Australians have been (and still are) subjected to the constant MSM propaganda that David Stockman describes as “Their relentless, morose, partisan coverage of the coronavirus pandemic is the single greatest campaign of misinformation, disinformation, propaganda, scaremongering and elitist prattle we can recall in our entire lifetime. Indeed, Joe McCarthy’s Red Scare was a Sunday School picnic by comparison.”

Australia went into lockdown in late Summer when the seasonal cold/flu was virtually absent, and, therefore we had very few cases of THE virus. But we are duly already in recession.

So the propaganda campaign has worked splendidly to date, except for a few holdouts like Sweden, whose data show that the lockdown makes not a jot of difference and is totally unnecessary. According to Armstrong (above), the Swedes are under enormous pressure from the WHO to conform.

Corbett’s recent monologue made me think about it all in a new way last night.
This crisis has introduced a new realtionship between our individual selves, each other and the corporate state. If we have all, (for ever) been ‘responsible’ for passing on infectious diseases, some of which have ultimately reached immunocomromised people, who then die – then that fact has remained an largely unacknowledged and just accepted part of mass human society. The flu and bad colds are part of life, life ends, often with pneumonia involved etc.
Now though, with covid, this ‘responsibility’ has been brought to the surface of our consciousness, and given a footing comparable to manslaughter or murder – where people have accepted the stripping of their rights and freedoms, imprisonment in fact, so as to (we are told) avoid the death of others. (People are starting to wake up to the death toll of lockdown measures, and the relatively low lethality of the virus, but the principle stands).
This is the final atomisation of the human being. We are losing the essential social aspect of our humanity. We become related, not to each other, not to our communities, not to our families even, but only to the corporate state and the media devices in front of us. We are losing our souls through this.

I was puzzling on this, along with the near impossibility of having a collaborative (ie people building and improving on each anothers material rather than just flaming and point scoring) discussion on Covid today.

My hypothesis is that the scale, nature and lack of solid data, along with the unprecedented response has wrong-footed and overwhelmed the majority of people. The general stridency of opinion on all sides is utterly out of whack with what is a brand new and largely unknown phenomenon. For psychological comfort, people are papering over their uncertainty and lack of knowledge with a wholy manufactured certainty.

You increasingly conflate “Global Capitalism” with free enterprise. The two are not the same. Capital is not what it was a century or so ago: the scarce resource carefully husbanded from current consumption. It is today the creation of privately owned government mandated banking institutions. It has become a tool for the disempowering of labor rather a lever for increasing individual productivity.
    It is increasingly totalitarian.

  72. When was the last time in the history of mankind, that the governments of all nations simultaneously shut down houses of worship, of all faiths? I think the answer is never, all the way back to Adam and Eve. Even more astonishing is, there is no pushback. There have been pandemics over the course of human history for thousands of years. Yet, one world government decides now is the time to shut down all of life? So far, out of 331,000,000 people living in America, 30,000 have died from an illness being attributed to this virus. That means that 99.99% of the population have not died. A third of all deaths are in New York. There is no cure for the Rhinovirus (the common cold), and thousands die from it every year, but we never shut down life before. There are one billion cases of the Rhinovirus in the U.S. in a typical year. No shutdown of life is required. No face masks to enter a grocery store.
The speed of the coordinated shutdown of civil liberties is astonishing. Is the real purpose here to motivate mankind to take a coming vaccine with a chip in it that will be required to buy and sell everything? A chip that is tied into 5G? A grocery store nearby had an armed policeman standing outside, monitoring a line of shoppers waiting their turn to enter the store, all required to wear face- masks to enter the store. It was like seeing something out of an end-of-the- world science fiction movie. Breathing carbon dioxide is not healthy, yet man- kind is being encouraged to breathe their own waste breath under these masks. Breathing fresh oxygen rich air without a face mask would seem to be a whole lot healthier than what is being encouraged. Madness.

Would any UNZ.com reader be surprised to learn that an Israeli intel asset is behind blaming the COVID on China?
Surprising, isn’t it? As soon as the Covid was labeled the ‘Kung Flu,’ that should of been a red flag as to the lies coming out.

From the talented Ms. Webb, a contributor to UNZ.

No one knows for a fact what this is and the exact point of origin. The origin of it originating at the Wuhan lab is an ex-Israeli intel guy who claimed Saddam Hussein was behind the 2001 anthrax attacks. WHY ARE PEOPLE PUTTING BLIND FAITH IN THESE LIARS AGAIN?

    https://twitter.com/_whitneywebb/status/1250630943762759680

Did we ever find those Iraqi WMD’s? NO.
Did we ever find out who was behind the 2001 Anthrax attacks, mostly against Capitol Hill? No, but the FBI got close, until they realized that the Anthrax was the ‘AMES’ variety, meaning it was home-grown. At that point, the FBI not only shut down the investigation, they destroyed the samples.
Back then, destroying evidence seemed to be the rage, whether it was the steel from the 9/11 False Flag or the Anthrax samples.

Ask yourself this: Do you truly believe that the FBI would provide cover for Saddam H and other Muslims they proclaimed 24/7 were behind 9/11 and the Anthrax attacks? Or were they more likely to provide cover for our special ally, Israel?

So basically you can’t go to mass, or have a beer in a pub, until August 31st.

And how are people who work with cafes, restaurants, etc, make a living? This seems to be more than anything a War on Fun. With a side of War on Religion.

Keep in mind that Germany had only 3,800 deaths so far. Small numbers, especially considering that in the country 20,000 people die every year of “normal” pneumonia.

Also, I am pretty sure the “lockdown” is doing almost nothing to contain the virus (accepting the premiss that it exists and functions according the official narrative) and seems a failed approach. The cases increase with or without lockdown, also because a total lockdown is impossible, in Germany public transportation and supermarkets are still functioning, why would this super-virus be transmitted in a cafe, or a church, but not in a supermarket or in a bus, or a park?

Also, most countries seem to follow a similar death rate curve, with lockdown or without. Actually, the countries that were most successful (South Korea, Japan) did NOT lock down people in their homes.

It’s all a farce. They’re pissing on our face and telling us it’s for our own good, “it’s a corona antidote.”

You’re right; Hopkins is like Fred Reed, writing an entire article to insert that one sentence insinuating that even the free hand of satire can’t go that far. The other, non-satire technique evident in the quote is implying that criticism of Gates, Kushner, and WHO is the equivalent of believing in a global conspiracy of Chinese Jews defiling body fluids with 5G. What Hopkins doesn’t realize is that trying to wave away conspiracy on the part of Gates, Kushner, and WHO with irrelevant nonsense implies he feels the need to run cover for their conspiracies-in-fact. Hopkins and Reed’s resort to barroom banter is also intended to degrade the level of thoughtful commentary as a way to elicit similarly worded criticism of International Jewry in the comments, thereby serving up useful evidence that criticism of the Jews is always irrational and motivated in envy.

Thanks for pointing this out, because it’s also quite like the hasbara trolls’ attempt to degrade evidence conclusively proving Israel and its fifth column did 9/11, as well as their subsequent cover up in the courts and media, by repeating the evidence for the purpose of inserting stories so insane as to discredit the whole. It’s generally referred to as “poisoning the well” and goes at least as far back as the case against Leo Frank a century ago where powerful Jews paid toadeaters like Hopkins and Reed to insert crazy material in the press for the purpose of discrediting the valid evidence proving Frank’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

The system you write so compellingly about is indeed powerful, but never forget that the people behind it are fundamentally clueless. Powerful, arrogant, ruthless, but short-sighted. We have so many people living right on the edge, maxed out on debt for health care, education, with sky-high rents. And now lot of these people have lost their jobs and incomes, and there won’t be any real benefits, but the fixed costs are still there. And even people with jobs, their employers will use this to slash salaries and benefits (‘because we’re all in this together!’) and those salaries and benefits won’t come back. And all of our critical gear is made in China, that’s why we can’t get masks or tests… Meanwhile the rich are just being bailed out with massive multi-trillion dollar no-questions-asked bailouts, and the disconnect between Wall Street and Main Street is becoming near absolute. It’s not really capitalism any more, is it?

Perhaps I am just being my usual paranoid self. But perhaps the system has been pushed beyond its limits? No I don’t think there will be a revolution – people are too disconnected, they have no class consciousness. I’m thinking more of a ‘failed state’. But we will see.

I had an ‘incident’ yesterday. I am a 68 year old man who is on kidney dialysis ( not overweight or diabetic just the victim of a rare auto-immune disease that damaged my kidneys). My pharmacy called and said my Rx were ready. After dialysis, I drove to the supermarket pharmacy to pick them up. Donning my face mask and nitrile gloves I walked across the parking lot to the front door which was locked! A sign said go to the side ( liquor store) entrance. Well, I am ambulatory but with very limited range so I use those motorized shopping carts to shop at grocery stores especially after dialysis which leaves you weak from lowered blood pressure. I then had to walk the length of the store back to the locked front door to get one of the carts. I nearly didn’t make it.

As ‘Tiffany’ the pharmacist tech got my Rx I angrily complained about the front door being locked. I was not being violent, vulgar or threatening anyone. Just complaining about access to the store and the carts. Behind me I heard another voice from behind angrily telling me ‘That’s enough’. I turned around to see a bull dyke in a Deputy Sheriff uniform interjecting herself into the situation. I blinked in disbelief as the unmasked cop got in my face. The cop did nothing to calm the situation ( they never do) or offer any reason for the new ‘policy’ merely said ‘That’s life’ to which I replied her getting in my face with no mask on could be the cause of my death. As I was leaving the store, the cop again approached me and leaned over into my face and said ” Do you want me to speak to the store manager” to which I replied “I just want to get out of here”.

I understand with traffic down Deputies don’t have a lot of motorists to harass, cars to search or accidents to investigate but stationing them in grocery stores to enforce the new ‘distancing’ rules and overriding the Americans With Disabilities Act was new to me. I also question the wisdom of using jail personnel who are far more likely to be infected with coronavirus for this purpose. To be honest, in my situation, I’d much prefer getting close to a rattlesnake than a cop!

Instead of taking one or two doughnuts and sitting down like a normal, mature person with manners who had some consideration for other employees, these Blacks carried on like people mentally unbalanced. I have been around Blacks all my life living in or working in and around places like Baltimore, Atlanta, the little coronavirus “hotspot” of Albany, Ga ( that town has to at least be 70% Black), Lakeland, Fla, which has plenty of Blacks but not yet in the league of the aforementioned towns, etc. Regardless the TNB was the same whether it was in NYC, Baltimore, Md, or Lakeland, Fla.

Italys Doctors Association, the FNOMCeO ,on April 10th announced that 101 doctors have died of COVID-19 since February

Italy has around 330,000 doctors. In a normal year, around 45,000 of them would die. Say 900 per week. The doctors that you mention include retired doctors, psychiatrists, dentists, pathologists and so on. It is a piece of total crap.

Almost all the people (including doctors) who died in Italy had pre-existing medical conditions and/or were elderly and obese.

The website of this association used to put the date of birth next to the name of the deceased. When it was pointed out to them that some of these “doctors” were born in the 1920’s, they removed the date of birth. It is a total fraud.

No disrespect intended, but I have a doubt about your numbers. Your numbers are saying that in 10 years all doctors should be dead and replaced by new doctors.
To get the correct number you have divide the overall number by 60, or at lest 50.
    (some doctors retire earlier.)

  133. I think it is interesting to posit, when exactly will the white middle and lower middle class in the US, “wake up” (get red pilled etc). With these shutdowns, whites are absolutely more effected. Here’s one major reason-not only do white people basically keep the country going, from trucking, to the few manufacturing jobs left, to shipping (rail), and middle class jobs, those same white people have no safety net, nor even any knowledge about how to “use” (game) the system.

Millions of blacks and browns are used to public benefits, occasionally having to fill out a form, or stand in a line–taking benefits, resources, money, assets–from the white tax slaves. They “get” how the system works, and how to game it. All these out-of-work whites are trying to either A) learn the system, whether it”s a food line, or unemployment, or B) trying to protest their way back to a job, to full time work.

How interesting it will be to see, if millions of whites who never had such interaction with the soft, indelicate underbelly of welfare (nor in some cases, it’s primary recipients), will now understand how little infrastructure is is in place, to help them in a time of need.

Will this push the middle and lower middle class of the rust belt and mid south to realize they are being pushed out, demographically and culturally, while others…non producers, get all sorts of benefits (or already are!), and will that force a change in voting or other behavior?

My guess is no. Anyone else?

How does ‘global capitalism’ work? What are the key institutions? How does it operate? Anyone trying to come up with a model of that quickly finds out that there are a few central organizations, and that it is a closed club with a decidedly kosher membership list.

You can see this in the research studies that examine corporate board membership and CEO compensation. You can see this in the paper that constructs a network model from share ownership information (Google: ‘the secret capitalist network that runs the world’).

Network science is one of the most interesting and useful developments of the last 20 years (see ‘Linked: the science of networks’ for a layman’s take). If you aren’t examining the networks behind policy, you are missing a big part of the picture.

Tests were carried out on 1,487 samples from Danish blood donors at the hospital showed a mortality rate of just 0.16 percent.

Because the “last” time Iran went to war — urged on by foreign advisor did you know? — it lost a whole chunk of Iran to imperial Russia. Some of these chunks are now countries. After that and the completion of the disaster that was the (non-Persian) Qajar dynasty, it wasn’t capable of attacking anyone and ended up being partitioned between British and Russian empires. Finally, the (Persian) Pahlavi dynasty came on board and just before the Shah and his modern military could get to flex muscles, his dear friends in the West decided that he had to go, and haven’t spared a moment to blacken his name whenever they get a chance. (But check out hysterical fiction series published in 70s that has Shah attack the oil fields of the Arabs.)

And look at the Gen Xers, Millennials and the Zoomers? How many self hating young White kids did you know in the high school in the Seventies? How many White girls were dating Black guys in your high school in the Seventies? I graduated in a class of around 200 seniors in 1979 and I don’t remember one single mixed couple dating in high school and we are talking a school that was close to 40% Black. And I damn sure don’t remember Whites standing around and watching a mob of Blacks beat up on a White person, especially attacking a White girl and not do a damn thing like we see the younger White men do today. I was considered an odd ball by my peers for liking Black music like The Isley Brothers, Brick, Al Green, Bill Withers, LTD, etc. haha. I still liked my rock and roll but enjoyed soul as well. Boomers ….. “….. the multicultural, immoral and self absorbed World that they created.”

Boomer hate. I’m going use mathematics, some of it quite complicated, to prove how imbecilic is your boomer hate.

The boomers were born during the years 1946 through 1964. The leading edge of that full cohort is considered those boomers born between 1946 and 1955. For our purposes we will use those born in 1950 as the average boomer of the first boomers.

Let’s look at some rather significant events in U.S. society in the post-war years and note the age of the average boomer at the time of the event.

    1. The murder of US President John Kennedy 1963: (1963 – 1950 = 13 years old)
    2. The US Civil Rights legislation 1964: (1964 – 1950 = 14 years old)
    3. The Gulf of Tonkin incident 1964 (1964 – 1950 = 14 years old)
    4. The Hart-Cellar Immigration act 1965 (1965 – 1950 = 15 years old)
    5. The USS Liberty attack 1967 (1967 – 1950 = 17 years old)
    6. Woodstock 1969 (1969 – 1950 = 19 years old)

The boomers didn’t cause the world you are living in today anymore than 19 Arabs caused the destruction and death in NYC on 9/11.
    QED

  160. Yes, the agenda seems to be to divert blame away from the jews, and also to create friction between older whites are younger whites.

And some of our top voices take part in the boomer bashing, including both Anglin and Enoch.

The Daily Stormer and TRS constantly spew hatred for older people and blame us for every ill under the sun. It’s truly idiotic and divisive. And it’s especially stupid when you consider that so many of the top dissidents are boomers; David Duke, Don Black, Jared Taylor, Ann Coulter, Pat Buchanan, etc.etc.etc.

Your comment about race mixing is also true. There was very little race mixing in my high school….I think there was ONE couple, and the girl took a lot of grief for dating a black guy. It was simply not accepted. But NOW, as you said, for younger people it’s become normalized.

Again, and I know I’m a broken record like Duke, but the truth is that ALL of our people of every generation have been brainwashed by jewish liberalism. So it has always been shocking to me that so many morons have decided that it’s funny to bash “boomers” and pretend that boomers are somehow responsible for what the jews engineered.

I had hundreds of Aids patient’s in my hands (without gloves) checking any part of their bodies and especially the breathing. During my therapy study I also worked in an nursing home for elderly people and later in an orthopedic hospital.

When the HIV causes AIDS theory came up 1983 my argument was: They should make tests in nursing homes instead of gay people who ruined ther immunity system with the serial use of poppers while visiting “wet markets” (Gay saunas, dark rooms) The “ground zero” theory.

What all this doctors and virologists overlook and ignore is the fact that we do not open the lungs with the lungs itself but with the muscles in the chest, the intercostal muscles and the midriff. So if you cannot open the lungs anymore it is not a problem of the lungs caused by a lousy virus!
The real problem is a kind of hyperventilation caused by extreme fear, by claustrophobia, but also by a shock caused by a test (HIV, SARS COVID-19) when the test is positive. (the negative placebo!)

If you never have learned a special breathing technique you might have no problems until when you face death. But opera singers or actors need special breathing techniques ….they have to deal also with the energy created by “breathing in” (inspiration) and tranform it into an expiration (expression)

I worked for 40 years on the big opera houses and theaters for dancers and singers, actors, internationally. One opera singer who was HIV positive and his gay partner died already, told me that there are not ten minutes in his life where he does not think about that he has a deadly virus in himself (the negative placebo). After working every day one hour with him and teaching him some breathing techniques which I have invented for such a situation, and some little brainwash, he was cured in one week. I gave him also some articles of Kary Mullis and Peter Doesberg to read.
Kary Mullis is now listed in Wiki as a AIDS denier.

99% of all people open the lungs in a very primitive way …like breathing into ONE patato sack. They are breathing against their own anatomy…because in fact we have two lung wings. Also most of the people using mainly the midriff to breath in. So they miss dividing the air stream. But deviding is a key to transform the energy from going only centripetal…like gravity and electro magnetism. This creates a interference field ..a crash scene where the energy is not, or badly transformed into the preriphery of the whole “Gestalt”or even further direction “heaven”

But when by shock (positive test) to an already bad energy transformation by old people, hypochondrics, additional start’s a hyperventilation, then those breathing muscles have quickly a soreness and start to contract more and more by this not transformed energy. And this contraction of the breathing muscles makes every breathing in more difficult…finally they cannot open the lungs anymore and the brearthing muscles become inflamed…and then those people get on a respiratory ventilator which gives them the rest….and even damage the alveoli by pressuring the oxygen in. Pulmonary fibrosis is the result and death.

    — the next one I believe Bill “depopulation” Gates actually mentioned in an interview a few days ago, Small Pox, weaponized “accidentally” released or by a “terrorist”, or something close thereto in symptoms…that’s the “worry” not this Cold Virus that naturally will recede due to “herd immunity”– the question is what will the networked NWO Psychopaths release next in furtherance of their Agenda– an Agenda that is evil and obvious but to which most are willfully ignorant.

The Craziest part. If USA had done the same as China regarding quarantine, it would be almost over by now. At most 1 week from now covid 19 would be over n done with if we had implemented a strict quarantine starting March when the virus infection picked up speed.

Yep, I was all of 8 years old during Woodstock. When they passed the 1965 Immigration Reform Act I was all of 4 years old and even the oldest Baby Boomer was only 19 years of age. Hell, if I am not mistaken people had to be 21 years old to vote before 1970 in America, so even the oldest Baby Boomer couldn’t even vote until 1967. By 1967, the Lost Generation and the so-called Greatest Generation Ever ( the generation responsible for destroying Europe, Nationalism and slaughtering tens of MILLIONS of fellow Whites ) had already done a great deal of damage and all but handed much of the West over to the Jew. And as I noted before, the generations that would come after the Baby Boomer Generation are some of the worst of the worst. Look at the number of mudsharks and oil drillers among these younger generations, that was next to unheard of back in the 70’s and 80’s, it was at least rare enough to cause more than a casual glance and a look of disdain among the people I hung out with at least. How many White guys back in the 70’s and 80’s tried to act Black? Sure there were singers that tried to copy Black music, even Elvis borrowed from the Black man and he wasn’t a Baby Boomer, but I sure didn’t see any wiggers around in the 70’s or even early 80’s. No doubt the latest hate directed towards the Baby Boomer are another way to divide and conquer orchestrated by the Jew on younger Whites, who are even more brainwashed than the most brainwashed Baby Boomer could ever have been. When you compare the Boomers to who came before them and the ones who came after them, IF anything it is the Baby Boomers who have a gripe.

The terrifying part is how millions of people immediately switched off their critical faculties, got into line, and started goose-stepping, and parroting hysterical propaganda.

It’s not terrifying, but it’s the worrying power of mass opinion in response to a hyped Crisis. For example, I was wearing gloves but not a face mask, but the number of people wearing face masks gradually increased until almost everyone was wearing one.

At that point I was uncomfortable not wearing a face mask (nothing to do with any rational calculation of risk) and put one on – what a relief. Also saw a regular sort of woman in the supermarket without gloves or mask and had the non-rational feeling that she was some kind of criminal.

Conclusion that social conformity is very powerful and there’s not much rationality involved. I personally agree with the non-panic reactions in Sweden, Belarus and Korea but there’s some sort of religious process going on here. It’s the Moslem woman without a headscarf experience.

In Plagues and Peoples, William McNeill explained how the Roman Empire was devastated and permanently diminished as a result of the first opening up of trade routes between it and previously isolated China.

That’s not what McNeill argues in Plagues and Peoples. He argues that Rome and China were analogous to the New World, with the Mideast and India analogous to the later Europeans who contacted the Amerindians:

“In the first Christian centuries, however, Europe and China, the two least disease-experienced civilizations of the Old World, were in an epidemiological position analogous to that of Amerindians in the later age: vulnerable to socially disruptive attack by new infectious diseases.”

“Very possibly, most of the new diseases to which European and Far Eastern populations had to accustom themselves in the centuries between A.D. 1 and A.D. 1200 had evolved previously in India and the Middle East. Plague, at any rate, seems pretty surely to have diffused east and west via the
shipping lanes of the Indian Ocean; and the rash and fever afflictions that visited both the Roman and the Chinese worlds arrived by land routes, i.e., proximately, if not necessarily ultimately, from Middle Eastern lands.”

A conflict with China is being coordinated, the only question I have is whether it’s a real conflict or a coldwar-like staged conflict.

A suspicious aspect was the immediacy and volume of the Wuhan animal market story – with no investigation necessary. It was an MSM readymade China virus panic story delivered at full volume and sent round the world in the most exaggerated fear-mongering way.

The net result is that economic problems are blamed on the “Chinavirus” shutdown (not the prior record breaking speculative bubble). Wall St banks collect $ 2 trillion in free money (QE4) to buy up cheap Coronavirused stocks for the next leg up, but the most worrying aspect are the propaganda similarities to 9/11.

It’s pre-prepared to channel a reaction to an event in a desired direction. With 9/11 it was tricking of the US into attacking the Middle East, and this time round the focused hostility is directed towards China.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) – whichever way you look at it – the Chinese are better prepared than the Arabs for both a hot or a cold war. Same with the Russians, although the US Zio-Glob seems to have put them aside for the moment.

    Why China?

It’s fast outstripping the US economically, it’s fast building up a modern military, it’s ignoring US sanctions on Iran, and it wants to get rid of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency (i.e. have the dollar stand on the merits of the US economy alone = a justified dollar collapse).

If 65% of US citizens can’t handle a $1,000 emergency bill [way before this virus jumped the shark], it isn’t that difficult to extend those figures into what will happen next: in your words ‘no food and no shelter.’

If you could look a man in the eye and shake his hand firmly, he might very well give you a job. A guy like Navin R. Johnson could show up at a filling station and be offered employment and a room in the back. Gomer Pyle was afforded the same type of financial and living arrangements by his employer Wally. Corporations, OSHA, Affirmative Action and City Ordinances killed the casual free market of the small business community and replaced it with a tightly regulated, overly taxed, government mandated, universally oriented global market that squeezed out the family owned establishments and made them unable to compete.

Even in my youth, you could still walk onto a construction site or into a factory, a warehouse, or a restaurant and start work the same day or the following morning. They are among the most uptight, frigid, flaccid, restrained and dullest people on Earth. Still drugged up, but on sleep aids, laxatives, antidepressants, heart medications, diabetes pills, stimulants, pain killers and a half a dozen more concoctions, potions and remedies.

It’s not that they just got old, they became stale. Bloated and sedentary, they navigate the aisles of the Super Market on their Hoverounds buying diet soda, low salt crackers and fat free yogurt in bulk quantities. Gone are the feisty old gentlemen of an earlier age who toiled in their yards and garages, and congregated in the local diner to talk politics. Their wives were busy tending gardens, engaging in assorted crafts, and were active in the local Church or Ladies’ Aide Society. Now, they go to the Bingo Game at the Senior Center. Yet, somehow, technological divides notwithstanding, they seem to be as immersed in social networking as their grandchildren.

Do I hate them? No. That would mean that I hate my Mother. And, no, I don’t blame them for policies that were put in place during their youth. It’s obvious that “the greatest generation” bears the bulk of the blame for much of the grand fiasco known as the Civil Rights Movement. 6. Woodstock 1969 (1969 – 1935 = 34 years old). Switch over to the boomers.

Almost no healthy person dies of this thing unless doctors make a clinical error. BTW, plenty of patients die from hospital-acquired infections.

“Europe and China, the two least disease-experienced civilizations of the Old World, were in an epidemiological position analogous to that of Amerindians in the later age: vulnerable to socially disruptive attack by new infectious diseases.”

The diseases Europe and China were vulnerable to were each others’, which is very different to the Conquistadors in relation to the American natives. Rome and the Han empire were Empires at much the same level with no contacts that were not mediated through intermediary peoples jealously guarding their position. Hear what McHugh said here

    https://worldhistoryconnected.press.uillinois.edu/3.1/br_whelchel.html

The author continues by describing the expansion of disease pools from 500 BCE to 1200 CE. McNeill attributes both the decline of the Han and Roman empires as well as the development of Christianity to the convergence of distinct disease regions through the actions of increased trade, primarily over the Silk Roads

Rome rivaled China in population at the time of the Roman diplomatic mission to the Han Court in 166 AD, from Marcus Aurelius. Hence by the time of the Antonine Plague of 165 to 180 AD, much more direct trading links between China and Rome had been established.

Professor MacNeil was the great anti-Spengler. Whereas Spengler emphasized the course of a civilisation was determined by its own internal destiny unfolding in a predictable life cycle, McNeil saw the result of growth by an empire is it would come into contact with other civilisations, and either begin to decline or flourish. The other side of the diffusion-of-new-ideas coin was the flow of disease from a gene and cultural pool where there were cultural and immunological defenses against the disease that evolved their to somewhere asking those defences. The evidence suggests that China has tended to be the origin of diseases in the West, more and more of late. Contract labour brought from China to aid the war effort is believed to have been be the origin of the 1918 influenza pandemic . In the last two decades there have been three new coronavirus diseases (SARS, MARS and COVID-19). There is going to be a forth in all likelihood. China has gained in relative power from COVID-19 and the West has taken a tremendous hit. This is a watershed. t the very birth of the West the largest buildings in the World were in Neolithic settlements of Europe

[PNEUMONIC] plague may originally have emerged as a human disease in the unprecedented mega-settlements that started to be built about 6,000 years ago in what are now Ukraine, Romania and Moldova. The settlements were home to tens of thousands. But with so many people living in dreadful sanitary conditions and in close contact with animals, the sites were perfect breeding grounds for bugs. “This is the classic, textbook example of what is needed for new pathogens to develop,” he said. […] The scenario may explain the so-called neolithic decline, a crash in the European population that took place about 5,500 years ago, and why the mega-settlements, then the largest in Europe by far, are known to have been abandoned and burned to the ground.

“The mega-settlements start to collapse just as the seed strain starts to develop,” said Rasmussen. “The plague could have been part of the reason.” A pandemic of the sort the scientists describe could explain how foraging populations from the Eurasian steppe were able to move into Europe with such ease at the time.

The Chinese will come offering sweet deals and support for Huawei’s 5G network in the aftermath of the economic devastation that COVID-19 has caused, and will be welcomed as a Godsend. The smart money in the West, meaning the billionaires being given special access to China and being made even richer by it, will press for further integration with the country that has the better model.

Years ago, I approached a local University about its Continuing Education programs that were for Adults who didn’t have college degrees but were looking to gain skills that would enable them to move forward in their careers without incurring the debt associated with a traditional degree. The Broad who “assisted” me shoved some papers in my direction and curtly instructed me to fill them out. Next up was a Hispanic Man who could barely explain why he was there. The same “White” Woman who seemed to regard my presence as an intrusion, began to effuse and gush over him in a servile and obliging manner befitting that reserved for royalty. She was all but filling out the forms for him, guiding him along and telling what to write down.

Disagree. The NY – California comparison proves that the lockdown Unz supports or supported saved lives. California, the larger state, with the earlier first infections, has had much fewer infections and deaths than NY, thanks to quick lockdown.

You can perhaps say we’ve learned by now that the disease is less deadly than at first thought, and that the treatment ventilators are more deadly than at first thought. But that we’ve learned with time is not a reason to rip into Ron Unz as you and others have done here. That’s stupid. Or malicious.

Famines resulted in increased taxes to pay for the fixed costs of the army and the system. When you appreciate the role of climate, everything else makes more sense.

According to the sources that I consulted and posted on another thread, when Dr. Fauci began with the NIAID, the annual budget was 357 million dollars. In 19 years, 2003, the allotment had grown to 3.9 billion dollars. That is the equivalent of adding an additional 357 million dollars every year and a half, or an eleven fold increase. At the beginning of this “pandemic,” the NIAID was receiving 5.8 billion dollars annually. Thirty four years after assuming his position, and with almost his entire career and department’s finances dedicated to curing AIDS, the best that he can do is to develop maintenance drugs to manage and prolong the illness. Fauci’s coffers were swelling as I typed.

“Clostridioides difficile infection is spread by bacterial spores found within feces.[1] Surfaces may become contaminated with the spores with further spread occurring via the hands of healthcare workers.[1] Risk factors for infection include antibiotic or proton pump inhibitor use, hospitalization, other health problems, and older age.[1] Diagnosis is by stool culture or testing for the bacteria’s DNA or toxins.[1] If a person tests positive but has no symptoms, the condition is known as C. difficile colonization rather than an infection.[1] ”

“About 453,000 cases occurred in the United States in 2011, resulting in 29,000 deaths.”

Well, Johnny, if they think that JFK was a Boomer, then they are more than a little confused. He was a rich Irish Catholic Playboy whose father made a fortune running whiskey from Canada during Prohibition. He and his brother apparently passed Marilyn between them and habitually cheated on their wives, following their father’s example. Neither was a Boomer, JFK having been a member of the greatest generation.

Having read a few books on the Assassination, it would appear that a multitude of interests came together for a common purpose; a symbiotic coalition. The Mafia, CIA, DOD, FBI, and the Federal Reserve all seemed to have grievances. Beyond RFK’s mission against the mob and the loss of Cuba’s casinos; the firing of Allen Dulles and threats to scatter the CIA to the four winds; the unwillingness to support the Bay of Pigs and looking for a path out of Vietnam; allegations of trading U. S. Turkish Missile Bases for the removal Russian Cuban Missile Sites; Earle Cabell being the mayor of Dallas and his brother General Charles Cabell being at the Pentagon in 1963; J. Edgar Hoover’s known intense dislike of the brothers; and an attempt to bypass the Fed, by printing Treasury Notes, JFK and RFK may have represented the last gasp of Irish Mob representation in High Office. Prior to JFK, Harry Truman had been known as the Senator from Pendergast.

    Thank you for that.
The problem is brainwashing, particularly in the USA, where Marxism/communism is equated to socialism. They are, if you listen to Marx. Marx’s ideas were rejected by a large majority of his contemporaries. The basis of their socialism was co-operatives, and the objective was to remove finance capital, the non producers, from ownership. Free enterprise was not an issue for them. There are hundreds of co-operatives in the US already. I have yet to hear of one of them decrying free enterprise.

So when we think about it, The Silent Generation were coming of age in the late 60’s and probably had a great deal of power through the late 70’s until the early 2000’s. No doubt that the Lost Generation, the CUCK Generation aka Greatest Generation and the Silent Generation did far more damage than the Baby Boomer Generation. McNeill argues that Rome and China were hit by diseases from the Mideast and India, spread both West and East via the Silk Road.

The worst part of the problem came with digitalization and globalization 1983+. It gave the possibility of outsourcing US manufacturing to China along with the middle class skilled jobs and future innovation, and the neo-liberal elite did it.

They were aged 30-65 ( born mostly before the mid 1950’s) so the Boomers came into this mess as students. I was one of them, studying economics at a so called elite university, and neo-liberalism and globalization there was almost a religion. No one in the class questioned it.

McNeil said China was larger than Rome at the time of the first epidemics, but Rome suffered a more precipitous and long term decline starting them He did sort of imply it was mutually damaging, but he also said the records are lacking for China. There is more evidence for Rome having had its trajectory altered, and by the time of the Roman diplomatic mission to the Han Court in 166 AD, from Marcus Aurelius the links were clearly rather more direct. That was almost exactly when Rome began being devastated. MacNeil did not know of the evidence of the 1918 flu coming from China or about SARS CoV (the sars virus) and SARS CoV2 (the COVID-19 virus) which are both from China sinch it established close links with the West. While there have been disease outbreaks from the Middle East and India, I never said there were not.
