The final vote in the Senate on the Federal Reserve chairman’s re-nomination this afternoon was 70-30.

Among the Republicans supporting Ben Bernanke: Alexander, Barrasso, Coburn, Cochran, Collins, Enzi, Graham, Gregg, Hatch, Kyl, Lugar, McConnell, Murkowski, Voinovich, and Snowe.

Seven Senators switched their votes after voting for cloture (the procedural vote was 77-23).

Via The Hill’s Jordan Fabian, they were: Boxer, Franken, Harkin, Dorgan, Kaufman, Whitehouse, LeMieux.

I’ll post the roll call as soon as it goes up on the Senate website.

Meantime, how about revisiting the witlessness and un-wisdom of Bernanke?

Screw up, move up:

Sen. Jim DeMint tweets: “By confirming Bernanke, the Senate rubber-stamped a failed economic policy. Bernanke’s easy-money policy fueled the housing bubble and his push for Wall Street bailouts made things worse.”

Obama inherits Bush policy — and keeps it.
