The news is just breaking this morning–and hearts along with it.

Carnegie Mellon professor Randy Pausch has died (hat tip – Allah):

ABC’s “Good Morning America” reported Friday morning that Carnegie Mellon professor Randy Pausch, 47, has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.

GMA’s Diane Sawyer received a phone call from the family early Friday morning.

With months to live, Pausch gave his famous “Last Lecture” at CMU in September 2007.

I mentioned to you all on Monday how reading his book about the “Last Lecture” had me bawling my eyes out on a plane ride home.

He moved the world with his inspiring message. Thank you, Professor Pausch. We’ll never forget.
