Shaik Ubaid joins us to discuss what may be the biggest global threat of all: the nuclear faceoff in Kashmir.

Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan recently visited the United Nations and delivered a passionate, eloquent plea for the people of Kashmir—and for the people of the world to step up and stop a looming war that could easily turn into a nuclear holocaust.

Dr. Shaik Ubaid is a practicing neurologist in New York and a former director of intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring at the New York Presbyterian Hospital of Cornell. He is a human rights activist who launched Indian American Muslim Council. He was the founding coordinator of Coalition Against Genocide, a broad-based alliance, that was responsible for getting the US visa of Narendra Modi revoked in 2005 for his involvement in the 2002 pogroms when more than two thousand Muslims were killed, burnt alive and raped in the Indian state of Gujarat. He is the co-founder of Burma Task Force an advocacy organization for Rohingya who are the victims of the world’s longest running genocide. He is the New York state co-chair of Muslim Peace Coalition which is an antiwar coalition that is also actively combating Islamophobia.

    Bismullah Iraahman Iraahim,

As a part-time Muslim(I avoid alcohol and pork), I must expound..

The partition was a great disaster from the view point of ISLAMIC power. Jinnah was a whisky drinking phony Muslim.

    Imagine the partition didn’t happen:

Unified India could have a popn of 1.7 billion and 650 million Muslims in 2017. Within another two generations, India will be a Muslim majority nation armed with nukes, the rightful heir to the great caliphates in the past, the rightful master of the Muslim oil wealth in the middle east. With 2 billion Muslim fans, Bollywood will displace Hollywood.

The Hindutwadis’ dream of superpower Hindustan will promptly be fulfilled!!

‘Theological’ difference can be settled easily. Just elevate some of the Hindu gods to pre-Koranic prophethood. Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) was a saint predicted by Hindu scripture:

Imagine munching a beef burger without inviting a lynching mob !!

Both Muslims and Hindus have the tradition of urine therapy:

It’s about time for the Hindus to submit to ALLAH and convert to the religion of the HOLY PROPHET en masse!!!!

Or perhaps the ambassador of Hindu-Muslim unity finally realized that a Muslim minority under a Hindu majority would fare badly and that it was better to separate? Especially after the stabs in the back that he felt. Ever wondered why he did a 180 degree turn? Do bare in mind that only the Punjab was partitioned in 1947. And the Pakistan movement did not want that but rather all of Punjab should go to Pakistan. The most hurt happened in Punjab.
