Amidst indignant reactions to ex-Chancellor Angela Merkel’s revelations about the Minsk accords, worry about Americans “advising” Ukrainians en situ, and the back-and-forth of battle lines, it’s easy to forget what the Ukraine War is all about: the struggle of the United States to maintain its status as the world’s only superpower. More exactly, America’s attempt to suppress China as a rival superpower is the center of this tragedy.

China, allied with its back-door gas station Russia, is a nearly unbeatable foe. China’s seaports can easily be cut off if container ships are threatened against docking there. Its back door is another matter. So those hard-eyed folks in Washington, obsessed with the Wolfowitz Doctrine, need to eliminate or take over Russia. That is the sine qua non of the American strategy. Without this step, the strategy falls apart.

And the step needs to be taken quickly; already the confrontation with China is picking up momentum.

Hence the Ukraine War. As President Biden ad-libbed himself, “[Putin] cannot remain in power.” He later walked back the comment, but the slip obviously reflects thinking in the Oval Office. The nice way to remove him is to cause a Russian defeat in Ukraine and the resignation — or worse — of its president, replaced (neocons hope) by a pliable drunk like Boris Yeltsin. I would imagine that foreign-policy blobbers long ago convinced themselves that they would really, actually, in their heart-of-hearts prefer to do things this way. Because the other way is not nice.

Not nice at all: the other option is a nuclear attack. Invasion of Russia won’t do the trick. Russians would see it coming a mile off. And they wouldn’t stand for a conventional war on their territory because they know they would lose. Nor would they stand for another Yeltsin, nor a foreign ruler that broke the country into ten pieces. Long before the Yankees got to within a HIMARS-throw of Moscow, Russia would resort to nuclear weapons.

The savants of Washington know this, as they have always known that Russia could not possibly lose a conventional war against Ukraine: a table-flat country, on its border, with a third the population, and no real war-making resources other than an actor-president who — credit where credit is due — could sell sand in the Sahara. I would give him his bust in the halls of Congress just for sheer chutzpah.

A conventional attack being impossible, Washington needs a war right on Russia’s border to use as cover, as an excuse, for a nuclear attack. If you doubt that their determination, remember that this reckless gambit in international affairs has been built through four administrations of neocons, who: 1) scrapped the relevant arms-control treaties; 2) overthrew a democratically-elected regime on Russia’s border; 3) pulled Europe apart from Russia, wrecking the European economy; and 4) literally destroyed the NordStream pipeline to make sure that the wreck stayed wrecked. I would imagine that even among older practitioners of U.S. foreign policy — Kissinger, Baker and their lot — those measures must have raised a few eyebrows. Biden’s crew is like fifteen-year-olds let loose in the foreign-policy candy store.

There are two ways, as I see it, of the war provoking a nuclear crisis: if the United States and/or Nato enter the war, or if, somehow, the Ukrainians mount a chemical- or biological-weapon attack against Russia, perhaps a dirty bomb. In either case, a crisis explodes, threats are made, and the U.S. has an excuse to unleash a nuclear attack on Russia — maybe with just a minimum of tactical nukes to impose a surrender, for only God and the CIA know what the Americans can actually do.

The point is to have a credible excuse for a first strike; without the Ukraine War, credibility would have been problematic — or at least more problematic; I have no doubt that, in a pinch, the same agile novelists who gave us the Kennedy Assassination and 9-11 could come up with a vivid tale. Whatever it is, the public will accept it, for they have been carefully cultivated by media stories about Russia: how Putin has turned into a dictator, how the LGBT community is persecuted, how Russian men fled the country to avoid conscription, and especially, repeatedly, poundingly like the drumming on a heavy-metal tune, that Vladimir Putin is a madman, a megalomaniac.

When the first images of blasted-out Moscow appear, President Biden will explain to a frightened world his heart-wrenching decision to strike first: the covers of Siberian rocket silos had been removed, the radio traffic was unmistakable, humint and e-lint confirmed suspicions, the Russian military brass had all suddenly slipped away to command centers around the country, and the crowning touch: President Putin’s recent mental state was “extremely concerning.” His statement need be but the merest window-dressing; the public, though appalled, will breathe a sigh of relief to know that this madman is no more.

President Biden would never do such a thing? This foggy-headed grandfather might be fully against World War III, but his foreign-policy team has by now taken the measure of him and knows exactly what to say in order to panic him into acting.

The foreign-policy crew fears a nuclear response from Putin? Hardly. They seem to have taken the Russian’s measure as well, and come away satisfied. Putin didn’t react when: 1) Nato expanded again and again; 2) Washington staged the coup d’etat in Kiev; 3) Washington (the only real suspect, either hands-on or not) sabotaged the NordStream 2 pipeline; and 4) when Washington assisted the Ukrainian government’s attack on the Donbass. Indeed, Putin waited through eight years of this violence to finally invade, having exhausted every other possibility to avoid war, and even then launched not a war but a lame “special military operation.”

Add all of this to the neocons’ wishful thinking that once Russia is out of the way, China will be a piece of cake that they will eat deliciously smacking their lips; and a nuclear first strike easily crosses into their realm of the feasible. Hitler and Napoleon would understand.

How strange that the drive to conquer Russia returns again and again in history; it is the West’s recurring nightmare, and it will be this time as well — though this aspect of the Ukraine story is strictly ignored by our slovenly mainstream media. So I leave the last word to Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges, who said, “The past is indestructible; sooner or later everything comes back around, and one of the things that come back around is the project to abolish the past.”

The Russians aren’t stupid enough to allow themselves to be vulnerable to a first strike that would incapacitate them. The only potential attacker, the US, would be committing suicide which is why it has chosen warfare through other means: political subversion, economic warfare, use of flunkies such as Ukraine, etc. They’re presently running out of Ukrainians to throw against Russia, the most sizable population pool available, and after them there’s no one else willing to step into their place and die for Uncle Sam. It’s not what the neo-cons want, it is what reality dictates. Staying the world’s superpower isn’t feasible anymore, that was just a period in time that’s passing. Instead of preparing for a soft landing the US instead acts as the world vandal, destroying what it can that others are trying to build. It’s not an ideology anymore, neo-con or whatever, but a quack religion that can’t have a happy ending.

Excellent article, but what it misses is that Russia has been busy since 2014 beefing up its nuclear deterrent. So although the neocons have undoubtedly been angling for a surprise nuclear attack on Russia, that project may have become a non-starter.

A very good point well made but not as much comfort as you might think.

The issue here is not whether a nuclear first strike on the RF could succeed but whether our deluded and desperate overlords believe it could succeed. Groupthink is a very dangerous thing, how many people have been sacked for being ‘off message’ over the past few decades? I have the distinct impression that most of the sane or realistic advisors are long gone. I reckon the biggest danger is that, faced with defeat, some idiot will decide the nuclear option is worth a shot. Those people all have bunkers to hide in. Their incompetence is paraded every day, they can’t even make up believable lies, nor can they keep the lies straight afterwards.

  5. The point is to have a credible excuse for a first strike…..

Why is that? Why is the narrative (the lie) so important? What if they said “You don’t need to know why we did it”. Or “We did it because it was Tuesday”. Why not just say “Questioning what we do is hate speech”. They no longer have anything to fear from elections. The woke would accept that and the rest of us already know that they lie. What are they afraid of?

  7. You give fake-president Joey Shitpants far too much credit, but overall a fairly plausible scenario with the caveats already mentioned here by Kevin Barrett. Biden has stage-two dementia and is clearly unencumbered by any sort of thought process. He’s a literal redarded ventriloquist dummy who has control over nothing, not even his bowels.

As for those who issue his talking points – the evil Neo-Klowns – their record of war-mongering stretches back decades. They are literally capable of anything, including ordering a first-strike against Russia. I doubt even Russia’s recent deployment of its Poseidon doomsday-weapon (imagine 4500-foot radioactive tsunamis headed towards the US east, west and gulf coasts for starters) will serve as much a deterrent for the likes of Viktoria Nudelman, Kagan, Max Boot, Bolton, et al.

As for the idiocracy, who continue to accept the daily lies they are spoon-fed by the lie-machine, Mencken observed long ago that nobody ever lost money underestimating the intelligence of the American populace. One would think that with Murika’s most famous Nazi being the black rapper Yedolf and nearly all Jews supporting actual Nazis in the fake-country between Russia and NATO’s offical eastern border that some of the morons would start to question the diet of lies they’ve been consuming since childhood.

I have no real answer for you, Steve, other than to say that people who have their ears to the ground in Washington report a growing appetite for a nuclear fight among the top relevant figures. I don’t get it, either. But one thought has occurred to me:

Twenty years ago, a skillful, well-financed crew — probably of different nationalities — got away scot-free with the complex job of 9-11. And complex is indeed the word: U.S. air defenses, airplanes, airlines, patsy hijackers, cell-phone calls that set up the hijacking legend, FAA, airport security, the secret wiring of 270 floors of modern skyscraper for destruction, and three picture-perfect demolitions pulled off in the midst of chaos that researchers still cannot agree on. If people can do that, how hard can it be to flummox Russia’s continental defenses for a half-hour?

In short, my answer is that those folks know a lot of things we don’t.

Well stated…until you get to your kicker…the final paragraph. Russia possesses dead man’s switches throughout its defense establishment. So the U$$A wipes out Moscow by sending in so many missiles that even the best air-defense system in the world doesn’t get em all. But then there are those little backwater places somewhere in the Ural or Altai mountains , together with numerous submarines loaded down with special treats for the Evil Empire.

No friggen way the Evil Empire can WIN a nuclear exchange with the RF. So why try? Perhaps the perps figure that would be better than going on trial. I’m still of the opinion that there are just enough cool heads in the Pentagon who do not wish their grandchildren to die a horrible death from the axiomatic fallout from such utter insanity.

Merkel once said that the alternative to the EU was war between current EU members. If the Kremlin said “a Russian loss in the Ukraine would lead to a nuclear war”, it was by way of convincing Russians that the supplementary effort to win the war (conventionally) was worth it. General (ret.) Vad, a former top level military advisor to Merkel thinks that the West’s (US’s) open ended supply of replacements for Soviet era arms of Ukraine being used up by Ukraine in combat is putting Putin on a clear path to facing an unbeatable Western equipped and consequently technologically superior Ukrainian army, and the temptation to resort to nuclear weapons use. Macgregor actually says he thinks nuclear weapons will be used in the interview Ron posted.

Putin and his minions are convinced they are going to win conventionally in Ukraine. It may beggar Russia but with total mobilisation and commitment such as the Russian deap state are calling for, I think Russia will be hard to beat in Ukraine, which is virtually on their doorstep–a profound logistic advantage and impetus to double down. To be clear, it simple is not true that Putin is demanding the West stop helping Ukraine beat Russia; he does not think Russia is being beaten, or is beatable in Ukraine. He may, or may not, be right about that.

One thing is certain: unlike the Cold War fanfaronade by the West about how they would stop the conventional attack by the Warsaw Pact into Nato countries of Europe by resorting to tactical nuclear weapons (80s Nato commander Gen Bernard Rogers said he’d have asked for permission to nuke the Soviet advance within the first hours of an attack), the context of Russian conventional defeat and battlefield thermonuclear weapon use in Ukraine against the Ukrainian army is highly novel, the ramifications unexplored, and the deterrents to it totally untested. There is no clear path to Mutually Assured Destruction by the Russians and Americans from Russian use of thermonuclear weapons in Ukraine against the Ukrainian army. The US has said there would be retaliation, but it would not be nuclear.

Yes, during recent years Russia has substantially beefed up its nuclear deterrent. However, during this same time frame America has substantially beefed up its first strike capabilities. Specifically, America has developed and deployed a device on many of its nuclear weapons known as a “burst-height compensating super-fuze.” This device gives America’s nuclear weapons the ability to destroy Russia’s ICBM’s in their silos.

These devices are described in an article by Kristensen, McKinzie and Postol that appeared in the “Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists” on March 1, 2017 titled “How US nuclear force modernization is undermining strategic stability: The burst-height compensating super-fuze.”

  36. Nuclear

Oppenheimer would turn in his grave if he saw how misconceptions on nuclear rule.

Nuclear can be very subtle. Regardless of all of the other variables [delivery systems], there is nothing nuclear cannot “do”, including for defensive purposes [counter-arresting the shock-waves of first strikes, re-tsunamis etc.].

In the light of obsoleteness of war as we see now, nuclear is one of the great game-changers [biology, genetics of biology, AI, robotics being obvous others]. [concerning nuclear] Biosphere, Stratosphere, exo-planetary targets [alien-ware as compared to the t-shirts of Ye peddled], all these become possibilities. The range of applications is endless, from the micro to the macro “bombs” and what they can pin-pointedly achieve.

One of the things that look very promising is the capacity of missiles [regardless of their load] to drill curved and incline lines in the crust of earth and deliver the “boom” on any desired point of the traject, inclusively shaped to impact to the infrastructure above ground [a more sophisticated 911, think of it], or head on, on underground structures. As Freeman Dyson said so well [with regards to nuclear energy], “we discarded deep research to the quest of immediate pertinent applications [nuclear energy infrastructure responding to icebreakers, submarines and ships, water cooled] and real nuclear science did no longer progress” [approximate quoted Dyson].

Nuclear, militarily [this obviously in an interconnected world includes the false separations with economics and social boundaries, human cattle herding, financial policies dependency on military over-rule] has marvelous potential, and yes some of that is realized and available in the back chambers of scien-cy bunkers of compressed knowledge. It is up to our elites to make the choices of rather what kind and how, on what strategic planning and most importantly with what vision and goal-set they will weight and apply nuclear existing technology and when.

My point: our elites are sorry critters, especially their quality of desire/goal-setting is off. They seem to be fully absorbed by their misery short-term self-sufficient, group-ethnic and in-group interests. They seem to have a medieval drive of cortex only [the rational mind sits outside the cortex part of the brain and attends rational thinking, that being easily contradicted by the former]. A sad sequel that hampers real progress [nothing to do with real growth, not even “GDP” and how that is presented] and is obvious when one loops through similar sequels in human history.

Sanitation, censorship[the kind that weeds out bubonic proliferated nihilistic stupidity], is what is needed in internal and public communication. Most authors here have a half screen on a laptop of content over their life-time potential. Hence my contribution-halfpage regarding the well meant suggestion of the author of the ignominious use of nuclear as to the contrary.

    – Hiroshima & Nagasaki were proven to be more chemical firebombings like the even-worse Tokyo … this confirmed by the ‘smoking gun’ accidentally released in US records – a 66-plane firebombing fleet hit the Hiroshima region at the same date and hour as the alleged ‘atomic bomb raid’
    – Mushroom clouds are standard in many chemical explosions, old ‘nuclear detonation’ videos are proven to be doctored fakes
    – 1946 Reader’s Digest even let on the ‘nuclear bomb’ story was a hoax, it helped the Japanese save face so they could surrender
    – Stalin was brought in on the hoax, to become ‘The Best Enemy Money Can Buy’, with huge profits from the mil complex shared with Moscow elites

NUCLEAR WEAPONS HAVE NEVER EXISTED, they are a hoax as fake as the ‘moon landings’

Here’s official US gov video from early 60s, a ‘nuclear explosion’ within walking distance (!), being viewed by no less than Robert F Kennedy brother of then-President JFK … none of these high officials concerned about fallout, radiation or whatever LOL … obviously fake as all hell:

Very pertinent guess you made. Nuclear and what it can do is on no level understood by the public. Everything is geared to “Armageddon” while nuclear to the contrary can be a marvelous game changer.

It also speaks for the middle classes, public domain politicians, that are as ignorant as our populations. They act as mechanical relays to the one-grading stumper public. The media and middle-class battalions are kept alive for that purpose. All they know and do is grounded on their wallets [that itself is meaningless and of no insurance, nuclear will blow out in all shapes and forms the fantasy of money, as the current global reality already shows] and none have any clue on nuclear and for that matter on what strategic and goal-sets drive the back-office.

There is some hesitation on all sides to involve nuclear, not because of the known sophisticated potential, but because of the uncertainty of what cards are held by the opposing parties. Globalism must lead to nuclear being taken out of the closet. The real question is what kind of globalism will prevail, who will come to control it, and in the shorter term, when. Of much importance to our elites, how much of the existing tar-ball of human meat can be selectively addressed by smart nuclear.

To give meaning to “The great reset”, the best option humanity has is to go nuclear.

If anyone here thinks that a nuclear war is highly probable or even inevitable and you haven’t taken steps to relocate outside of urban centers, please explain the contradiction. Even if you yourself don’t care about dying, what about your family?

If I sincerely thought that the world would end within a couple of years, I would seriously consider a hookers and blow regimen as a final salute to an insane world.

If some big brains think that the world would survive a nuclear exchange between the two major nuclear powers, then brush up on the term ‘nuclear winter’. It has been endorsed, debunked and in my latest readings endorsed again. I believe it.

To those who live in urban areas targeted or not, do understand that your final moments will not come via radiation but several days later at the business end of a knife by a desperado who hasn’t eaten in a long while.

My remaining rational thoughts argue for all this nuclear exchange talk being just more fear porn. If the author is correct in asserting that our leadership is insane enough to conduct such an action however provoked, then we are done for in any event. They have many cards to play. There are choices on the Satanic menu. Like maybe a real pandemic for example.

Such a radical reorientation of national objectives would be an existential threat to the elites: think Robespierre. To avoid that fate the elites might risk nuclear war, but even the highest ranking miltary officers would be immune from popular retribution and so, operating under a different risk-reward ratio, would be unlikely to follow orders for a first strike.

I am simply awed by the stupidity and arrogance of the Western Atlanticist bloc. They are, to all intents and purposes, seemingly fixated with with certain death if they carry on in this crazed manner.

Firstly comes the neo-con ‘first trike’ idiocy. End of game – we won, hurrah! Yes, but unfortunately there are other players in the game: the Russians have got another game. Our neo-con morons and their like seem oblivious to the fact that the Russian’s have a massive array of counter-strike nuclear weapons geared up and ready to go. By air bombers, by sea, submarines, by land where in Russia’s hinterland can station its assets in fixed position or in moving positions which can be carried by trucks and trains anywhere in this vast terrain. Oh, and I forgot to mention the ‘Perimeter or Dead Hand’ defence stationed all ready to go at a moments notice and dug into hardened silos which could automatically respond to any western attack.

Thus the ‘First Strike’ will be devastated by an massive second strike. Game over. Homosapien will have to wait another few centuries to recover – if ever.

  58. Bert says:

That would be a more convincing scenario if Ukrainian/NATO drones hadn’t got quite a long way into mainland Russia already, attacking airfields where nuclear bombers are stationed. Another red line ignored.

And I assume the Pantsirs being placed on Moscow rooftops are there for good reason.

The US still disposes of a huge amount of power, even if that power is inevitably waning. It took the British Empire 120 years to (almost) vanish from its peak in 1898. On that timescale the US has 50+ years to go, and that’s not counting the fact that the US has two oceans as anti-tank ditches.

I hope Russia resists and triumphs over the Wolfowitz/Brzezinski doctrine, and I hope the Western Ukrainians come to their senses as those in the East did, and stop dying for people who hate them. But hubris is never a good idea, and “pride goeth before a fall”.

  68. I take it most of you sleep under the covers under your beds at night. The only country that has acted with aggression here is Russia.

The only country making nuclear threats is Russia.

In 2014, two regions launched a war to break free of Ukraine. Ukraine proper said no and fought back. It’s has been an issue brewed over fifty years in the region and with Ukraine free of Russia/Soviet Union, the matter finally spilled over. Because the country decided they preferred to steer away from Russia as opposed to the Russian proxy members. And the side wanting to stay close to Russia lost. Most of the country preferred a different course. As long the government supported Russian ties. Russia opposed any attempt tp break the country up. But once that dynamic was post — well, then being ethnic Russian was cause for war.

So in 2014 the Russians started lobbing shells across the border attacking Ukraine. And then opted for an invasion last year. And in playing the fi al card — threatened the use of nuclear exchange —

Well, Ukraine’s existential existence is at threat — by Russia’s own standard a defense by use of wmd is appropriate to defend herself.

Your concise response is excellent, especially the comments and links about who really controls Russia. Thanks for bringing up Nabiulina’s treason and the unwavering support of her sponsor Putin. Very few of the western/American readers know about the internal politics and power structure in Russia. A little bit of information about the works of the central bank of Russia should help many understand better what is going on.
In the options listed in lately I have been leaning towards number 2, adapted as follows: mostly an unconscious agent, perhaps waking up a little now. Look at the (very rare!) visceral reaction when he called the Polish government official “svolach” for having said something “antisemitic”. Add to this the myths of the soviet times that are so strongly inserted in the Russian psyche. Regarding this, it is extremely interesting to see the success that the mind twisters have had in Ukraine since the 1990s, and especially the 2014-2022 period. But this is a very large topic for another day, one of its ingredients is the inferiority complex (in much created during bolshevik times) of the Russian elite, j-elite, and part of the population [Ukrainians are mostly Russians, so this is really a civil war, despite all the crap that you hear telling you otherwise] that have always wanted to be part of the western world. Perhaps a mongrel future west will be happy to finally accept Russia as one of its own.

Suffice to say, since the signal events of 1989-91, it’s difficult to find anything significant the US has done not to further and speed China’s rise.

Am I the only one who notices that relevant US geo-strategy went from something a reasonably intelligent middle schooler could apprehend — an alliance with China against the Soviet Union, to something that was then continued and amplified after the Soviet Union went bye-bye.

Laugh or cry, the last three decades have been a world-historical Sad Story for the US sovereign. We’ve come full circle back to middle schooler obvious. The illegitimate Biden regime installed a ‘Yeltsin’ and US power and prestige globally is being collapsed as the US is being made a tributary of China.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking I’m one of those banging a monkey drum for war with China. Though its comprehensive infiltration and compromise of the ruling and governing classes needs to be extirpated tout de suite.

Having gone from bad to worse, the risk now is that US power in Europe completely collapses if Russia doesn’t achieve its objectives in Ukraine through negotiation and therefore does through military operations.

Think about it, Russia has trained, armed and mobilized more than a 1/2 million in three concentrations. Meanwhile, the US/NATO are squabbling over who is going to send a handful of tanks. Call me crazy, that looks like an Iraq War ’91 set up, just this time with the US/NATO betting it all on the side of the Iraqis.

Russia assuredly doesn’t want the US position in Europe to collapse. Unless I miss my mark, Russia has been pushing back kicking off its offensive to give the US/NATO side a chance to figure out how to save face.

The reason I am hopeful, or at least assess the probability of this resolve at well above zero, is because of where the US actually is internally on this madness. Most of the electorate wants a negotiated settlement in lieu of another turn of the screw to world war, and the rest is primed to accept the same as long as a Glorious Victory bow is attached. Really, the latter, which includes the political class, just needs a few weeks of shouting that, but for terrible, awful Trump, it would have worked like a charm.

Yes, option 2 seems to be the most reasonable explanation – petty globalist recruit that was put in place by a decree, while Russia was ruled by the West, and then fell out of favor along the way for some reason, around 2019, when they tried to assassinate him, which he then swept under the carpet, and continued implementing their policies, hoping that they will like him again and accept him into their lair.

Here’s Klaus Schwab in 2017 speaking of Putin and Angela [1] as, at the time, WEF’s Young Global Leaders (i.e. euphemism for recruits of course), as well as one younger one, Justin Trudeau (Canada’s PM). He mentioned Putin and Angela again in 2019, in the same context, along with Tony Blair [2].

Also, in 2014, Putin carelessly bragged about meeting Henry Kissinger in the early 90s, and by revealing that, unmasked his behind-the-scenes meetings with globalists. At the time, Putin was just one unknown KGB apparatchik. One can’t help but wonder: why would a former US Secretary of State, especially one of such high globalist profile, meet with someone, at the time, nobody – like Putin? Perhaps, grooming of the new puppet to “lead” Russia?

Even after the fallout in 2022 with his handlers and mentors, Schwab and Kissinger, Putin continues resetting Russia [3] without missing a beat, and that includes immunization agenda too [4].

He also prefers G20 over BRICS and states that publicly [5]!

A bromide: The trouble with fighting wars is that there is an “enemy” who is just as smart or smarter than you are. The “enemy” is not a good sport, and “spoils everything”, which is why he is called “the enemy”.

This is not WW II, any more than WW II was WW I (and only 20 years between these two wars).

Here’s one way the Russian Federation could spoil everything and try for a decisive win using its publicly known nuclear systems. This is from about 2 weeks ago (weeks before 2022-01-21).

The above method could only work given utterly incompetent US leadership. Fortunately for RF, that’s what the US has. The three leading Democrats are the Pelosi faction, the Obama faction, and the Clinton faction. Of these three, two have senile leadership. The Obama faction has actually ruled, but only for one term, and its leader, while not senile, is not terribly bright or experienced. The Republicans have Trump, who is neutralized, vs. a coalition of the Republican hacks/RINOS.

It is also not meant to be a blueprint for action for anybody — it is meant to show that almost everybody is “fighting the previous war” when it comes to nuclear weapons use. Last war? The history of the Ukraine/Russian Federation war to date is like the runup to WW I, over a century ago!!!!

So — expect surprises. As Disney said back in the 1950s:
Today is a day that is filled with surprises!
Nobody knows what’s going to happen!
You could find yourself on an elephant on the moon,
or riding in a teacup underneath a blue lagoon (NYC).

Again, the tagline “A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.” comes to mind.

But of course, that still leaves all the banksters and Wall St speculators still running their self-serving con games.
But Russia has more than one Ace up their cassocks. Not only nuclear deadman switches, (reminiscent of Dr. Strangelove’s Doomsday Machine) but the switch of two barrels of oil for a gram of gold (instead of the current one barrel), which would effectively end the petrodollar empire, devalue the dollar and euro, and invite the rest of the world into an Asian digital 5R currency.
I pray daily for sanity, reason, and divine intervention to end this neocon madness.
Of course, WWIII between Russia and NATO plays right into the scenario of China becoming the next world hegemon and allowing the psychopaths at World Economic Forum to proceed with their delusions of ruling the world via a transhuman, depopulated, surveillance state, the big dream of Marx and communism.

Very slim chance one of the major powers is going to initiate a nuclear war because there would be nothing left and they all think they will eventually prevail. Russia hasn’t even dared to use limited tactical nukes, despite all its yapping and the yapping of shills on here. What was their big missile test that never came off because of technical difficulties?

The US/NATO has been successful in aiding Ukraine because of this impasse. I’m not saying it’s wise or that I am for it, just the reality of the situation. Global nuclear war is unwinable and therefor unthinkable. If I’m wrong, so be it – your skin will flake off before you have the chance to tell me you told me so.

Will the military carry out an illegal order from their dementia ridden Commander-in-Chief (acting on orders from his Masters) to carry out a first strike? Or will they storm the White House bunker and take this tranny-loving disgusting pedo away in handcuffs? Or is that just a fantasy?

The world has been saved from nuclear war before by the quick thinking of a patriotic Russian officer who realized that there was no nuclear attack coming from the Americans. It was a glitch in their system. It’s probably happened other times. Not all military officers are in bed with the neocons and the Davos crowd. I suspect that many hate them.

Their sons and daughters aren’t being drafted, so what do they care? Mass protests ain’t happening. Your argument stands, at length. What the public is in for, is sadly un-contourable, they are the subject of any experiment.

What the elites stand for must change, and have consequences. They must be remedied or nuclear will take the fore. Not in a smart way [the smart approach to nuclear used as a bargaining tool, an energy source by lack of anything else of yet] but in converting lab experiments in real life experiments that do not scale well. On both sides, the elites are groomed to pull stupid [as in long term against interests of humanity] tricks. They have done so much in the past.

The outliers in the shadows …it is their moment, they must now stand the proof, and come to the fore, it is their moment. So those of us who don’t live on the Eastern Seaboard will be safe?

Certainly not. Direct weapons action is generally not the primary casualty producer in warfare. Starvation, exposure, disease, hunger are much larger. Civil populations demand a large infrastructure, which is almost always targeted and destroyed in wars. No infrastructure, no civil population.

Remember those “US sanctions stopped nitrate fertilizer production in Europe” and “Other countries are ceasing to produce potassium and phosphorous fertilizers” new items of several months back? Well, they were right, although the news articles with URL’s below don’t mention that.

Remember the drop in international trade consequent to US sanctions? That, too, has happened, and that, too, has been attributed to “A drop in US demand” which is saying that the drop is due to the drop:

And remember the end of German industry said to be consequent to the end of Russian gas import? That, too, we have:

The above will be much increased if there is a “central” nuclear war, one that involves risk of absolute defeat for both sides. The current Russian Federation (RF) / Ukraine war is a central war for RF and Ukraine, but so far is not a central war for the US. It would become a central war if it became a nuclear war.

Central wars involving nuclear weapons are highly destructive. You may have noticed the US and world standard of living decreasing in recent weeks. In the event of a nuclear strike, mass starvation would happen in those places lucky enough to retain a water supply. With no water, of course, 3 days is about the limit to human life, say a week max.

Personally, I think a nuclear war would be a very bad idea. Unfortunately, it appears that the people in RF and the USA Federal level don’t agree with me on this topic.

  170. I have a question relevant to a first strike.

Is there any way of knowing if there is a nuclear bomb inside a missile until it strikes? If not, with all these missiles flying around, someone could load some with nukes and fire them off. Since hypersonic and ballistic missiles fly into space who is to know where they are destined? They could keep orbiting and then just fall on whatever target without warning. So how does one get enough warning to launch a counterstrike as it is not possible to know what’s in the bomb or where it’s heading? It’s also possible to launch a cruise missile with a nuke at one target and change its course to hit another. We’ve also seen missiles, or is it drones, passing unnoticed by radar like the ones that hit Zagreb and Engels air force base. It seems rather complicated deciding what and when is coming at you.

I get the impression that Russia and US warn each other when they do ballistic missile tests even though the missiles are not loaded with nukes just so the other side doesn’t mistake it as a launch of real nukes. Is that correct? Although I doubt minor nuclear powers do this. I can’t see North Korea warning Japan when it launches ballistic missiles in its direction during tests. Who knows, maybe one day someone will do a test with a real nuke and not give any warning.

As I have mentioned before, I believe there is a way for Putin to avoid the nuclear catastrophe. And, I believe that effort is underway.

You may have noticed– or perhaps not — a recent report of a diplomatic meeting between Russia, in the person of Lavrov, and Israel. The result of that exchange was reported as all manner of kissy face Happy Talk, ie thoroughly friendly cooperation going forward.

I interpret that report as a cover for what actually transpired.

I think Lavrov went to discuss an exceedingly vital matter — existential to ***both*** parties. Since no one can influence the Neocons except the Israelis, I think Lavrov “suggested” to the Israelis that they “advise” their neocon agents to stand down, using just that sort of “diplomatic” language.

Translated from diplo-speak, it would have amounted to this:

If you think you’re gonna take down Russia, much less take down Russia and get away with it, think again. Before the first nuke launches in the vicinity of Ukraine or Russia, Israel will serve as an example to the rest of the world of what nuclear obliteration looks like. Per the Chinese dictum: “Strangle the chicken to frighten the monkey”, Russia will turn Israel into that grilled chicken, and the Jews will be waiting another 2,000 years to try again.

This is the way out for Russia. Possibly the only way out.

We have seen brigade upon brigade of Ukrainians riding to the front to be exterminated without a hope in hell of achieving anything other than dying. Could it be that even if the Ukraine were nuked Zelensky, unlike Hirohito back in the day, would refuse to surrender and would send his troops to ride and march through a nuclear wasteland to the front in the hope that maybe one or two would get there to, perhaps, shoot a Russian in the foot? Could the Ukrainians have been hypnotised to that extent, far more than Hirohito and his military chiefs were able to achieve with their own population? Their devotion to Zelensky, and their readiness to obey his orders without question, perhaps even surpasses that of the Japs for demi-God Hirohito.

Even more worthy of note is that Zelensky is becoming the undisputed commander of the collective West, and is issuing orders for trillions of dollars to be sent to him at the expense of the people of the West suffering from cold, hunger, homelessness, lack of medical care and numerous other social disasters caused by increasing poverty in the greatest economic crisis to hit the world, at least in this century, and yet they all obey and wave the yellow and blue flag. Soon the hungry Westerners will be queuing up to volunteer for mercenary battalions promising thousands of dollars but will be lucky to get a meal or two before they’re liquidated by Wagner’s punitive divisions. The hypnosis and fanaticism is spreading fast among the gullible Westerners. They’ll be saving on their meals just so they can place a few more dollars and cents in the can of the panhandler from Kiev. Lunacy, idiocy, fanaticism … call it what you will.

For this, we will use our old method: Divide and conquer. We will try to pit these countries against each other, and suck them into civil wars for the sake of mutual destruction.

Therefore, I assume that your phrase “such a war” references “a conventional war on their [Russians’] territory” — a ground war supported by fixed-wing aircraft, combat copters, and non-nuclear missiles/drones.

You must be ignorant of Russia’s military history starting with the dissolution of the

Perhaps you have thought you have read the Mike Whitney’s recent Unz-Review-published Ukraine war articles but failed to grasp what those articles’ imply respecting Russia’s (and Putin’s) capacity of fighting a conventional war. Whitney does not possess either military expertise or deeply intimate knowledge of Russia’s post-Tatar-yoke military history. But Whitney does appreciate what even EU foreign policy commissioner Josep Borrell perceives:

…Moscow has a history of winning long wars.

Russia is a great country, a great nation that is used to fighting to the end, almost losing and then recovering [as in] in the 1812 invasion by Napoleon Bonaparte’s French empire and the 1941 invasion by Adolf Hitler’s Germany….

It would be absurd to think that Russia has lost the war or that its military is incompetent.

    * * *

Napoleon led a multinational army recruited from all across French-dominated Europe and reached Moscow, but failed to compel Russia’s surrender. The war ended with Russian cavalry on the streets of Paris two years later. Hitler’s effort, also aided by numerous continental allies and vassals, fell just short of Moscow. The Axis armies were savaged at Stalingrad and turned back at Kursk, with Russian soldiers taking Berlin in 1945.

    Quoted from this RT article:

Josep Borrell supports the U.S./NATO proxy war being lost against Russia in the Ukraine. Borrell is pleading that

now is the time to continue arming Ukraine with the necessary material and military means to wage the kind of war it has to wage.

Russia appears to be able to produce an endless supply of weaponry and other military materiel. Russia has raised an army of at least 400,000. If necessary, Russia can double that number quickly. Russians have proved they will sacrifice whatever must be suffered to defend their Motherland.

Russia’s military — and its patriotic zeal — have not been degraded by “wokeness” — as has been the U.S. military. Unlike woke America, Russia celebrates manhood.

Russia’s weaponry is far superior to that of the U.S. The West has zero means of defending against Russia’s hypersonic missiles.

  195. @Commentator Mike

The real issues in a ‘first strike’ are the prepositioned WMDs of many types. The recent low level biowarfare weapons used against China’s pork and poultry industries are a now known typical economic weapon to destabilize a nation on the rise. COVID biowarfare is another gain of function designer weapon used strategically against China with blowback that has now killed perhaps/approx. 1.1 million Americans. You can understand suitcase nuclear devices at embassies in Washington D.C., Moscow, London etc etc etc and even naval weapons in the James River or Chesapeake Bay and certainly off the east and west coast of the U.S. and in the Gulf states areas.

First strike weapons are actually prepositioned and prearranged systems activated like attacks on communications and banking as hidden computer viruses.

Weather as a WMD has already shown itself under the cover of ‘climate change’. A hundred years ago rain makers showed how blasting chemicals into the atmosphere can cause massive chaos like flooding.

These once seemingly non weapons are now vastly engineered into WMDs.

In 1915 the San Diego city council, pressured by the San Diego Wide Awake Improvement Club, approached Hatfield to produce rain to fill the Morena Dam reservoir. Hatfield offered to produce rain for free, then charge $1,000 per inch ($393.7 per centimetre) for between forty and fifty inches (1.02 to 1.27 m) and free again over fifty inches (1.27 m). The council voted four to one for a $10,000 fee, payable when the reservoir was filled. A formal agreement was never drawn up, though Hatfield continued based on verbal understanding. Hatfield, with his brother, built a tower beside Lake Morena and was ready early in the New Year.[2]: 91

On January 5, 1916 heavy rain began—and grew gradually heavier day by day. Dry riverbeds filled to the point of flooding. Worsening floods destroyed bridges, marooned trains and cut phone cables – not to mention flooding homes and farms. Two dams, Sweetwater Dam and one at Lower Otay Lake, overflowed.[4] Rain stopped on 20 January but resumed two days later. On January 27 Lower Otay Dam broke, increasing the devastation and reportedly causing about 20 deaths (accounts vary on the exact number).[citation needed]

Hatfield talked to the press on February 4 and said that the damage was not his fault and that the city should have taken adequate precautions. Hatfield had fulfilled the requirements of his contract—filling the reservoir—but the city council refused to pay the money unless Hatfield would accept liability for damages; there were already claims worth $3.5 million. Besides, there was no written contract. Hatfield tried to settle for $4000 and then sued the council.[4] In two trials, the rain was ruled an act of God but Hatfield continued the suit until 1938 when two courts decided that the rain was an act of God, which absolved him of any wrongdoing, but also meant he did not get his fee.[4]

Also try a ‘weaponized mass media’ in propaganda world and cognitive warfare. You know… CNN. NBC, FOX, CBS, ABC etc etc and information gathering systems like… The Unz Review. Censorship is ultimately also a first strike weapon and knowing dissent helps calculate and massage information warfare.,2020%5D.

Nazi Germany Was Planned Target : Creation of Anthrax Bomb Told
    JAN. 7, 1987 12 AM PT

“Prof. Barton J. Bernstein declared in an interview and in an article in the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists published Monday that an American plant, “probably in Vigo County” near Terre Haute, Ind., was scheduled to make about 50,000 bombs monthly by the summer of 1944, and 250,000 by that year’s end.”

“In documents examined by Bernstein, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill was advised that 1,000 projectiles, each of 500 pounds and containing 106 four-pound anthrax bombs, could destroy life in a 25-square-mile area. Potential targets included Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Aaachen and Wilhelmshafen.”

“Bernstein said the British contracted for anthrax bomb plants in the United States because such plants in Britain would be vulnerable to bombing and therefore a greater threat to the local population.”

“It is impossible to know how many bombs were made (after the initial order was filled) because the American records were either destroyed, lost or classified,” Barton said. “But it’s likely that other bombs were made, and I would love to know what the U.S. did with them.”

“The head of the British Medical Council’s Bacteriological Metabolic Unit unleashed anthrax experimentally on the small island of Gruinart, off the Scottish coast, soon after the war began. The island remains uninhabitable today.”

The attempted Allied bombing of German dams in WW2 is another example of a WMD system that could kill tens of thousands in an unconventional strike to cause massive flooding and destruction.

    useful information. Because

0n 2 December 1943, 100+ Ju-88’s of Lehrgeschwader I/Luftflotte 2 (a training + active combat wing all of whose pilots were experten) attacked the harbor @ Bari, Italy, where a large Brit-American convoy had just arrived. 27 merchant ships were sunk, including an ammo ship carrying a secret cargo of British-manufactured mustard gas bombs which went up in a violent explosion….c. 1,000 allied soldiers and sailors killed outright, as well as – when a dense cloud of mustard gas rolled over the city – c. 5,000 Italian civilians. All of which was kept concealed for decades after the war. More recent sources include:

Glen Infield, Disaster at Bari (NY, 1971)
Gerald Reminick, Nightmare in Bari (Palo Alto, 2001)
George Southern, Poisonous Inferno (Shewsbury, 2002)

evidently that expert, murderous false flagger Winston Churchill was up to something very nasty here: like painting up some twin-engine Brit aircraft (or, using captured German planes) with German insignia, then scattering these poison gas bombs over Brit lines in southern Italy, killing X numbers of Brit and/or American troops, pinning said “atrocity” on the Germans, then “retaliating” against German cities with CBW….killing, instead of tens and hundreds of thousands of German civilians as was then being done with conventional weapons, but millions more. So a belated TY

to Luftflotte 2, for derailing this Churchill false flag and likely saving millions of lives in so doing.

In 1999, the West (I call it “the West” because I am not sure which invisible junta was really calling this particular shot) was in total control of Russia and its president, so Putin could not have occupied that chair without their consent and blessings. And Putin may not have suspected much the intentions of the same West about Russia – he might have thought of their corruption and greed as aberrations – he might not have learnt that their real intentions are to break Russia into pieces and suck the marrow. It took him a long time to understand, I guess. Even his 2007 speech was like as if he believed he could bring the West to some sense about its wrong intentions. Probably only the 2017 attempt on his life convinced him he is dealing with real evil that aims at breaking up Russian nation (among all other nations) and enslaving it (along with the rest of the humanity). So, I am not shocked or surprised about Putin’s connections with the WEF gang or that ultimate slime that still refuses to croak. And I don’t think Putin harboured secret enmity all the while – they would have sniffed that early in the game. Putin is just a branch of the WEF / Trilateral / CFR / Bohemian Grove / add-your-favourite-shady-group that fell out, and still managed to retain his chair and life successfully.

As for the topic, what if the promised Great Reset was a reboot after a nuclear war? Whoever wins or loses, a nuclear war is certainly a great reset. And imagine this: there are only two outcomes:
    1. if the US wins the nuclear war – a comprehensive first strike that manages to so completely annihilate Russia that dead man’s hands are not activated – then China and the rest of the world quietly fall at the feet of the western rulers – overt or covert.
    2. if the US fails, and loses major cities, and a bulk of its population, the remaining population would be so enraged about Putin and Russia, and so clueless, the western rulers could rally them again and enslave all through technology; an iron curtain would fall around the west, but the people inside would be convinced it is the rest of the world that is behind the iron curtain; and the rest of the world would exist with a lot reduced wealth and capacity, but would manage to exist – if China survives almost intact, then the loss of American hi-tech is not a very big deal; China can catch up in the next 20 years. And the western rulers so desperately want to enslave the population and resurrect the feudal ages that they don’t mind losing 80% of the west’s population – the idiots have convinced themselves that the world is overpopulated, and an 80% reduction of population is highly desirable; it did not occur to these idiots that the overpopulation is in Africa and Asia, not the west.

So, both outcomes are lovely for the west’s rulers, whoever they be.

Any which way, the contra-thinkers in this website do not have much to rejoice about.

Mother Nature is not a sentient being – it is a closed system of various natural forces; it has as much life as the bureaucracy of a big country – its output is seen to be consistent, from which we infer there is some central brain somewhere, but it is in reality just a complex interplay of various people looking out mainly for their self-interests. An interplay of the atmosphere, oceans and plate tectonics, fuelled by the sunlight ( and probably nuclear fission inside the earth, if some Russian geologists are to be believed), and exuding less energy than it consumes, will certainly achieve a balance over millions of years that look like Mother Nature to us, as if it has sentience and knowledge, but, no, there is no Gaea to wake up and kill us.

  224. The Ukraine conflict is not a good example of a hegemonic war between the Western Occident/USA v.s. Russia. It is primarily a result of the need to dump onto the global market, a variety of armaments, overstocked and or nearing the end of their “shelf life”. For example; weapons with lower tech components, labile explosives or battery dependence, inferior target accuracy, electronic components that contain increasingly expensive but economically unrecyclable metals e.g., Dysprosium, Praseodymium, and Ytterbium (rare earths), lithium, and other metals in the lanthanide series. Several secondary issues involving a subtle plan, assuming the shape of a typical corporate hostile takeover. Hidden agendas that vertically and horizontally consolidate transnationals heavily invested in big agriculture. For example; Bayer Crop Science and Monsanto consolidated into one name that of Bayer. The seed and chemical behemoths Dow and DuPont merged, ditto Agrium and PotashCorp formed the new Nutrien and Syngenta then acquired by ChemChina. These sorts of consolidations are ever increasing in food production businesses-world wide. As I’ve previously stated in commentaries at Unz, the largest fertilizer manufactures in the world are in Russia, they are Uralkali, Eurochem and PhosAgro but all have been sanctioned by various western Occident nations. In strategic long term projections, UN statistics show a 70% increase in global food demand by 2050. So, this begs a question, not yet addressed in any of the the MSM outlets. How will the big AG oligarchs in Ukraine (a few Saudis among them) and associated Russian fertilizer corporations, manage to improve international relations where politically motivated global food distribution is enmeshed with politics. Certainly appears to be a ball of wax! This friction between Russia and major agricultural companies (approximately ten) here HQ in the USA. Will they’re collide? you betcha, and there’s the rub as Shakespeare would have said…

Note:Black Sea routes for food distribution and inspection to African nations and beyond are controlled by Russia.

Russia may have eleven times zones but in order to feed itself, it’s bread basket is for the most part in Ukraine. There are control freaks here in the west, hell bent on grabbing the bread basket as well as Ukraine’s rather substantial Lithium ore (salt) mines. Only recently have chemical separation methods been discovered that may become financially viable for the recycling of rare earths and lanthanide series metals found in finished product war machinery.. In the mean time, dump the old stuff onto any market, anywhere AKA start small conflagrations, light fires, initiate insurrections and in so doing, rejuvenate the necessary financing capital that will roll over into upgrading older inventories with newer battle devises possessing improved lethality !

It’s occurred to me that popular luxury vehicles and $50K, SUVs and the like, across America are but small storage warehouses waiting for the high-tech recycle bin, a scenario that will unfold, in the event of an enemy EMP first strike, turning abandoned cars along the highways and citywide dealership inventories into no more than scrap metal heaps with four new tires on them. In short, modern vehicles are loaded down with computer chips and strategic metals essential for economic recovery following a major conflict with China. Not to wander too far off my original point(s) but The Financial Times printed a story dated February 16 of last year, suggesting that China may have plans to topple our domestic MIC because of a strangle hold on seventeen important elements, present in ores exclusively mined on Chinese soil. These 17 are listed on the periodic table of elements (Rare earths). The article said there is a U.S. vulnerability when attempting to acquire rare earths from China that are critical to those electronic components built into the F-35 (latest fighter aircraft line for the USAF)..but I digress.

Hegemony? only to the extent that our nation ensures both a first strike and defensive posture(s) against any enemy or evolving crisis… At bottom, we can’t trust our EU allies, leaving them alone would translate into the rise of another Hitler or Napoleon where many millions would die, not just thousands. Keep in mind that in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, Europe was constantly in a state of war. The Dutch/Spanish arrangements and every smaller nation, jockeying for stronger position(s) between them.

Aside: The use of nuclear weapons in this latest conflict cannot force the advent of global hegemony. It can only bring more chaos to the world, the rise of fiefdoms, more divided interests and new national sovereignty(s) claims. In so doing, contradicts the very essence and definition of “a new world order”…so, in all probability won’t be used.

If indeed another Hitler comes to power in the EU the cause will be traced to and instigated by European banksters (all wars are bankers wars). If we keep our military presence on foreign soils like the EU/NATO arrangement, there’s a small chance to occasionally and successfully release steam in the pressure cooker- a bit at a time. Pressures from; greed domestic and foreign, corporate domination of powers usually assigned to national governments, the many forms of violence, market forces and unmentionable, dark human aspirations. Let us not neglect to mention, corruption within our own “policing” networks. This endemic problem so clearly outlined in articles and books such as; Loretta Napoleoni’s -Terror, or John Perkin’s- Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, The European Gladio Assassination Program (CIA), Permindex and Louis Bloomfield’s brand of world Zionism Et Al.

The Western Occident must somehow preserve a structure to maintain good logistics meanwhile supporting an invisible rampart between us and the rest of humanity- six billion people. Keep in mind folks, that they already have the numbers coupled with a greater chunk of tomorrows world and various influences. As always, US citizens will continue to maintain private donations, financial and otherwise to third world people. Washington must re-establish a body and culture of diplomacy found only at the Foreign Service Institute (FSI). Avoid filling sensitive diplomatic posts with corporate lackeys, neoconservatives e.g., John Bolton. Renew our “City-On-The-Hill,” a long lost reputation and steer the national direction toward it. Reinstate a “no strings attached” continuation of the original Marshal Plan. A new modified plan once inspired by JFK where he envisioned a world, I’m paraphrasing him here, …where all boats would rise together. We now have come to realize what was meant by the Kennedy brothers. A philosophical direction not meant to be construed as a socialist ideal in any way. It can still apply today, even in the case of the Ukraine conflict-it’s not too late.

Indeed, Putin waited through eight years of this violence to finally invade, having exhausted every other possibility to avoid war, and even then launched not a war but a lame “special military operation.”

And Russian subs, we know that the neocon crazies do not know where most of these are. There is no point taking out silos and leaving many unknown launch sites, especially subs lurking offshore; to me that seems to be madness.

nos1, The USA, not America btw, is already incompetent, violent and retarded. have you been in hibernation these last two centuries?

  246. @anonymous

Not only would the USA be destroyed , Russia might have a chance of survival ie a good defense.

The late Angelo Codevilla, one of America’s foremost experts on missile defense, wrote just before his death last year:

On the defensive side – beyond the 68 underground-reloadable launchers protecting Moscow – Russia’s strategic defenses rest on the connection between its peripheral radars and some three hundred of the S-400 systems (to be replaced by S-500s beginning in 2021) deployed near every population center and other important points throughout Russia. Unlike U.S. systems like Patriot, Aegis, and THAAD, the S-400s are programmed and launched before they come into view of the local radars, on data provided by the early warning radars. They carry nuclear warheads to minimize the need for extreme accuracy. In short, Russia has a viable missile defense.”

  247. Anymike says:

You have quite a point. I long have had my capabilities as a geopolitical and policy theorist and I want to go back to something I said a long time ago.

Around the time of the first Gulf War, I was discussing the Colin Powell military doctrine, which is that you first accumulate overwhelming force, and only then act militarily, with my brother, who also understands this stuff pretty well for a computer nerd.

What I said at that time was, the other alternative is to use all available force immediately.

The Russians under Putin have done neither. They did not use all available force immediately and they apparently are not intent on assembling overwhelming force to the limit of their capacity either.

The Powell doctrine especially applies to a situation where you are facing a war adversary which is inferior in power but which nevertheless possesses some dangerous capabilities.

Against a peer power, such as Japan was in World War II, maybe you use what forces you possess judiciously in the beginning in order to preserve your forces as much as possible for later when your forces finally are built up to a maximum level.

Ukraine is not a peer to Russia. Even with some greater amount of Western aid, it still will not be a peer to Russia. What Russia is doing militarily is perhaps inexplicable. Splitting the difference between using all available force immediately and holding back until you assemble overwhelming force is good way to drag things out and multiply the strategic and geopolitical hazards you are facing, including the great hazard of escalation to nuclear war.

Some people might level the same accusation against the West – that the West neither used all available force immediately even in the context not being able to intervene militarily nor has the West moved to build up a maximum possible force. The problem for the West is, that outside of war production, the West is not capable of maximum effort. The Western European countries are capable of contributing units – a battalion or a regiment or two – but not whole armies. In the case of America, America’s youth and young adults are too debilitated for America to raise a mass army. According to sources, about 75 percent of the young men of military age are unqualified to serve. Some large percentage of the young men with some education would resist serving in the military. Many minority men might see a war in Eastern Europe as a “white man’s conflict,” and rightly so.

Seriously, I doubt at this point that the United States could put more than 300,000 actual front-line combat troops in the field and there would be no great stream of replacements behind them either. Among the Europeans, the Poles might be willing to fight in some numbers. But who else? Involving German units would be just about unthinkable.

Are we at a point where we have a conflict that no one has the capability to finish? Is this the war that everyone loses? I vote for the latter. Ukraine loses because it loses territory and, in the end, has to turn to Russia to protect its existing Western border. Russian loses because its vaunted conventional warfare capabilities have been exposed as wanting. America loses because it is exposed as lacking the capability to fight a major war. Western Europe is exposed as the squabbling mess it always has been and as weak-willed and insipid. Eastern Europe is exposed as irrational and warmongering and as a region that has to be kept under the control by the big powers.

Who wins? Well, Russia wins a little, but at the price of generations of enmity and the exposure of its inadequacies as a land power, which means that Russian win a little and loses a lot. Everyone else just loses.

This point from the author is logical and alarming.

God help us all if that is what all this is really about. To be honest I am not sure what would traumatize me more; nuclear weapons being detonated in US cities or waking up to learn we have completely obliterated Russia?

The Roman Catholic theologians gradually throughout the centuries have made a goddess out of Mary, hailing her as the queen of heaven, who is capable of supernatural feats which even the mighty angels themselves could not perform.

Just the same, if all this were true, God would have had his inspired writers in the New Testament prophesy of this, and also clearly command us so to worship her. Yet he has not. There are no biblical commands or promises in the Bible to do this. Indeed, at one point John the apostle “fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things, then he said to me. ‘See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God’!” (Revelation 22:8-9.)

Now the Devil, who sees all of this, gladly has taken advantage of this golden opportunity, and has appeared as Mary at Fatima, and other places, since he could transform himself, according to New Testament’s clear words, “into an angel of light” (2nd Corinthians 11:14) assuming another’s identity as would fit the occasion.

So what would the Bible command? Say the Ave Maria? Pray the rosary? Rather, “Worship God!”

And seeing India nuke China, Pakistan would retaliate with a first strike on India

Pakistan is small enough to be vapourised by retaliation strike and they needed their nukes so as to prevent the gigantic Indian Army to come in and give them a mass rape in Islamabad, which the Indian Army could have easily done in the past, in the last two wars but the Indian Army was held back because the Soviet Union and the USA intervened for peace. Which the Indian masses and Indian Nationalists (both are basically the same) consider a big mistake and a “great betrayal to nation”. “The gigantic Indian Army should have gone all the way and raped those cunning paki bitches, nice and easy”, they all scream. Pakistan is after all a thin strip of land, India has strategic depth. Indians can move South and fight on.

The reason for the “no nukes” hoax is that nuclear weapons are so powerful, that if unleashed on a city, the devastation is so horrific it is unimaginable. Thus, a city dweller, without the will to survive, just denies their existence. Denial of nukes is how many people stay sane in a world gone mad.

This is exactly the same, but in reverse, of the Jesus resurrection hoax. Billions of humans have become convinced, that this one man came back to life, and if they believe in this one man, they too, can have eternal life. The reason why the NT tale sells is because life on earth is a horror show, and people need hope to cope with day to day life, because they are slaves on a prison planet run by Jews. Thus they focus on the next life to get through this life. Christians often say all your tears will be wiped away in heaven. Faith and hope are coping mechanisms on this horrible planet infested with Jews, and ironically Jesus is a Jew. Hope is the cope dope while you tread water in hell. Jesus gives billions of people hope in a world gone mad.

Then we have Normalcy Bias concerning nuclear war, because all out nuclear war has not happened, many think it won’t happen. Many people have told me nuclear war will not happen, it is impossible. Such people might be persuaded by the no nukes argument. Of course, the problem with the assumption that since all out nuclear war has not happened is false, because it only has to happen once. No previous data points does not mean it is not possible. Thus it will not happen until it does, but then it will be to late to prep if you assumed it can’t happen.

Normalcy Bias also affects stock market bulls, they think that a big crash like 1929 can not happen again, since the government has all kinds of mechanisms to stop a crash. But if NYC was nuked, what would be the value of your stock certificates, or even your house in New Jersey? Since NYC is the cause of so much pain for Russia, they may be targeting it, along with D.C. Who knows? I do not know how Russia plans to end us but the general consensus on waging nuclear war is that you use them or lose them.

So my reasoning is that any fixed position nuclear weapon system will be fired first, and the mobile systems held in reserve. And I would bet all my money that Russia is considering to wipe us off the map, because they can see good and well what we are doing, AND the only reason why we still breathe is because Russia has not fully fielded their nuclear super weapon, the Sarmat 2, aka SATAN ICBM. If you read Putin speeches, he makes it clear that they view us as satanic. What Russia is doing, right now, is prepping for nuclear war. Last week, the big story was defensive missiles on top of building in Moscow.

On 20 April 2022, according to the Russian Defense Ministry:

“At 15:12 Moscow time at the Plesetsk state test cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region, a Sarmat fixed-based intercontinental ballistic missile was successfully launched from a silo launcher.”

The first contract for the production of the missiles was signed in August 2022

What Russia is doing, right now, is prepping for nuclear war. They need many more months to move factories underground, to stock their civil nuclear war shelters, to train troops, and thus Ukraine is a mud shit hole WW1 like front line, a human meat grinder, while behind the line Russia is getting ready to nuke us out of existence and survive. The only way this can be stopped is some kind of internal revolution and the Jewish supremacists and Neocons are taken out and executed. But will that happen, or can that happen? Probably not.

Last week, the big story was defensive missiles on top of building in Moscow. Putin has doubled his military budget and personel. He knows this is it, the last big final war, and his philosophy and religious belief is that Russia has a divine job to end the satanic west. How can you disagree, the west is completely satanic. In Hollywood pedophile factory, they celebrate eating human flesh, they have cannibal restaraunts. Trannies and gays are elevated to the top, schools teach degeneracy and immorality, Jewish pharma like Pfizer is a planned Judaic genocide of the goyim. Russia sees our own government killing us off with a death jab, so I am sure they have no illusions what we might do to them.

Another possible ending is that the Neocons, pull back at the last second, having made a bundle of golden shekels on this latest war ploy. The real question is if Jewish supremacist run Amerika like Jew run Jerusalem in 70 A.D., willing to defy the Caesar and risk being sacked by a more powerful army? Maybe the Jews are that crazy to risk nuclear war – and the reason for this concern is that Amerika was completely insane in the first place to get 31+ trillion in debt, and now in desperation to maintain it’s empire to keep said debt solvent. Putin even mentioned our debt in a recent speech. They don’t have debt, they have gold. We have an insane economic system that becomes ever more unstable as the debts pile up, because in every recession the debts try to liquidate, but they pump it up again and again and again – and now are so insane they want WW3 as a way to get out of their debt predicament.

“The US will cease to exist as a coherent entity.”

Multicultural America is neither coherent nor an entity. It’s a place name.

Right. It went from a sparsely populated North American continent comprising of warring Indian tribes “Turtle Island”, to become a colony of the British Empire – “British North America” (1607 – 1783). Populated by English, Scots and Irish settlers. After their successful War of Independence 1783 it gained a new name “The United States”. Mostly populated by the same people (including a Black minority) until the age of mass immigration. The ethnic British elite was than displaced by a Jewish elite (1968 – 2023) keeping the name “United States” but becoming the principal base of the Jewish NWO. The US currently comprises of Jews (2%), Whites (56%), Latinos (19%), Blacks (12%), Asians (6%), Others (5%) with relative demographic Decline: Whites, Jews and Asians. Stable: Blacks. Increase: Latinos.

The only coherent periods looks like British North America (1607 – 1783) and the ethnic British run United States (1783 – 1968) which were not- coincidentally the before and after periods in which the US became the world’s leading power.

  278. One aspect of nuclear weapons that few seem to take into account is that the materials used to make them naturally decay with time so the question is how many among them actually still work? Ur-235 has a very long half-life but the half-life of Pu-239 is ~24 years so does their yield remain the same over time and can they be ignited at all after a certain period?
It would be quite a dud if the West launched a missile attack against Russia and all it got was the equivalent of a dirty bomb knowing that Russia’s hypersonics are likely to work as intended given their recent production.

Ukraine’s fighters only look good because the Russians are not fighting them like they did the Germans. The reason for this is because the 2 wars are different. WW2 was about Russia’s existence, while the Ukraine conflict is just about a border dispute and dissuading NATO from moving further east.

At the moment its only Wagner on the Russian side who are putting troops into contact, the Russian military itself doesn’t want close contact, preferring to shell the Ukrainians at leisure. Ukies even attack the Russians positions en masse to try and get the Russians into contact and then the Russians just retreat and then continue the shelling at leisure strategy.

But jokes aside, China has been lying about its gdp and population since forever. Its only now that China admits that its population is decreasing. Furthermore, while India has a strong birth rate with lots of military age males due to a normal population pyramid with the wide base at the bottom, China has a low birthrate and a decreasing number of military age males because of its narrow based population pyramid. From the economic side, China has been growing exponentially for many decades while India has only been growing linearly. But while China’s growth is unsustainable, India’s growth has been much more organic and sustainable. China was basically pumped up by the West, India not so much, or not at all. If Globalization stops, which looks increasingly likely in today’s economic climate, then in stands to reason that the biggest beneficiary of Globalization, China, will suffer the most. India hasn’t really been taken in by Globalization, India has just being doing its own thing.

What this means is that China has always got to consider India in its deliberations. China always has to think about what will India do if China does a,b,c or d. Indian soldiers might not be the best physically, but there are a lot of them, and they are easy to provision because they can survive on vegetarian rice and lentils with a bit of chilli indefinitely. In fact India can support a big population sustainably mostly because of its vegetarianism. So while in the short term China looks overwhelming, in the long term India is better off.

Well, perhaps we ought to think about the man… Herr H was clearly a bit off, all the time in combat in WW#1, no proper trade, there are credible stories of sexual difficulties…and so on…and later in WW#2, amphetamine and so forth…all amounting to what we might call “stress disorder”

However, when we look at the money behind the NSDAP it traces to big banks, many controlled by zionists… Hitler was set up, and he was also a patsy…and probably lived into the 1960’s…having a blackmail lever over the zionist sponsors, and a lotta gold stashed.

Thus, it arises to ask> How is Zelinsky so different from Hitler?… Essentially both are skilled actors, and both men using dope, and under a killing stress…

Foundationally, both H and Z were/are mere tools…though we know that H had more control over decisions… If we agree with David Irving, we may see that much of the corruption was probably kept secret from Hitler, and quite possibly the same is true of Z.

Nice commentary and good examples. As far as the anthrax spores delivered in a bomb; the survival, even of the spores is unlikely. A gram or two of weaponized spores is sufficient to infect every individual in the largest skyscrapers in the world–the dispersion device–the air intact for the building. Open air release of anthrax spore simulant (B. subtilis), was released in a test involving a US Navy ship in the Bay area of San Franfreako back in about 1960. Spore collection devices were scattered inland and it is estimated such an attack would infect and kill a few hundred thousand people. This area is an ideal target based on weather conditions and wind direction at the appropriate time of day.

So according to you, . . . , the referenda in Crimea and in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts were all a sham, but the U.S. “government” fostered coup d’etat of Feb. 2014 was a legitimate democratic process?”

It found various evidence of the involvement of an alliance of the far right organizations, specifically the Right Sector and Svoboda, and oligarchic parties, such as Fatherland. Concealed shooters and spotters were located in at least 20 Maidan-controlled buildings or areas. The various evidence that the protesters were killed from these locations include some 70 testimonies, primarily by Maidan protesters, several videos of “snipers” targeting protesters from these buildings, comparisons of positions of the specific protesters at the time of their killing and their entry wounds, and bullet impact signs. The study uncovered various videos and photos of armed Maidan “snipers” and spotters in many of these buildings.’_Massacre_on_the_Maidan_in_Ukraine

Freeland is being backed by US imperialism to head the aggressive military alliance because she is a war hawk with extensive personal and political ties with Ukrainian fascism, which has emerged as a key proxy for the Western powers’ predatory war against Russia.

The selection of the next head of the US-led alliance is seen as a crucial issue in Washington and European capitals. ohhh good grief,

i did not indicate whether the spontaneous protest was free of violence. No doubt there was some violence and it eventually became a tit for tat affair for a while. That is not really an issue for me. I make no claims that there was no violence — there was some. But by and large the protests were peaceful, large and spontaneous against those seeking to tie Ukrainian fortunes to Russia.

Raining a new issue i.e. the presence of violence during the protests and making some claim that is pertinent in some other discussion, say, to the Russian invasion and voting in the occupied territories is another issue one has no link to the other regarding their relevance —

conclusion — it’s called a false comparison and as such fails to make your case. The people of Ukraine deciding even by violent clashes is not a hostage situation as is the case with Russia’s invasion, occupation and then orchestrating a vote in the same.

This academic investigation concludes that the massacre was a false flag operation, which was rationally planned and carried out with a goal of the overthrow of the government and seizure of power. This is just a longer version of your previous. Which has been pressed and answered – it is false comparison. Clearly there was violence among Ukrainians. And each of these studies concludes that the central claims by Russia and others that the protests and subsequent removal of pro-Russian supporters as an exclusively Ukrainians incident — no outside influence.

Which was the point of your contentions. That the revolution, protest, coup;e was some EU, NATO and US cbal. It wasn’t. It was a fight, discussion amongst Ukrainians. Though I find it interesting the one side ran into Russia as opposed to some neutral question, which bolsters the anti-russian Ukrainians, that Ukrainian leadership was doing the bidding of Russia, not Ukrainians citizens.

Conclusion: Russian claims of outside controlk are false and what ukrainians did, desired and pursued in closer relations with Europe in Ukrainian and they are not under control of any western nation state or entity.

Note: I have read or reviewed several studies and i withheld comment about the content of the study provided it has some problems internally — but in the end, would not change the dynamics. That this is Russia’s folly.

Russia has once again found themselves in a mess of their own incorrect analysis and rhetoric.”

The invasion crisis predicated on false assumptions by Russia. Russia has violated the sovereign borders of the Ukraine. In so doing she has broken the regional peace. And furthermore has made threats holding the international community hostage as to nuclear threat.

The only response that will protect Ukraine and reassert peace in the region is that the US, NATO and the EU move immediately to remove Russia from ukraine. And germany should release either the Leopards or forces capable of using the weapons into Ukraine in conjunction with the US and British — heck all of European force and that of the US in response to Russian aggression.

And all of the same should be prepared to deter, prevent or respond to any attempt by Russia to engage a nuclear response of the defense of ukraine.

Exactly who and when did the conquering?
Short version: the initial setup was a salad of alliances between Russian Princes and Cuman (Polovi) tribes, due to military (against their respective neighbors) and economical advantages.
Mongols (specifically army commanded by Batou) were chasing their traditional enemies (Cumans). Allies of the latter were crushed if on the way, or if they killed Mongol envoys (in which case crushing became obligatory, between traditional nomadic ethics and lèse-majesté). 3 Russian Princes asked for it. Nobody outside their towns cared much. The Mongols finished punitive attacks and moved on, to chase their primary targets all the way into Adriatic Sea.
The first time a Russian Prince actually became their vassal, it was because he requested it, after personally traveling all the way to the Horde and becoming a blood brother to son of Batou. When some Principalties were indeed conquered, it was not just “Mongols came”, there were — “pro-Catholic” vs. “pro-Nestorian” Orthodox parties, both with foreign backing. Mongols happened to be better backers than Rome (or Teuton knights) and did not try to convert their vassals, so not only the anti-Catholic coalition won, but when Horde itself had civil war and could not do jack, the Princes still paid taxes to maintain the fiction.

Having read through many of the comments, I put down my final word here.

First, the bolted-down certainty with which many commenters say that Russian deterrence will hold the Yankees in check is something I find rather touching. They remind me of a New Yorker explaining why he can’t get mugged on his own street. Instead of taking a nuclear attack as a matter of doctrines, plans and counterplans, think of it in terms of safe-crackers planning to rob the vault of a huge bank. The job’s years in the planning: computers, key people, timing. But it can be done.

Steve K9 in comment 9 says: Not sure why you think the US or the rest of the West would survive a retaliatory strike by Russia. The ‘Perimeter’ system is designed to launch a retaliation even if the leadership is killed. A single Borei-class submarine has 16 Bulava missiles, each with 10 warheads of 150kT yield. That is 160 warheads each with explosive equivalent of 300 million pounds of TNT.

Goodness gracious, that certainly sounds forbidding. But what if that submarine runs into a heavy plastic-roped fishing net — say, five times the size of the sub? Its propellor is fouled, its hatches won’t open safely: no more threat. Of course, I’m only making this up, but my point is that a nuclear defense system is planned by humans; it can be cracked by humans. And who knows what kind of planning is taking place in the dark sewers of the Pentagon, the CIA, or the far-flung empire of American-European-Israeli intel? Who knows what tools they’ve invented?

Second, deterrence depends on the other guy’s fear, right? Well, some folks have no fear. RFK, Jr., told an amazing tale in his book “American Values.” Two months before his death, President Kennedy had a meeting with the Joint Chiefs in which they presented him with a first-strike plan against the USSR. They told him that the USSR would be destroyed, and American casualties would be limited: 12 million tops, which they considered acceptable. Imagine what they’re considering acceptable now, when they’re facing losing single-superpower status and turning into one of four or five big powers.

Last and most importantly, do you seriously believe that the United States is going to take China’s rise lying down? The present moment is a hinge of history: the final moment of the West’s millennial dominance and the rise of the East. Hear those hinges squeaking? And as I say in my article, Russia allied with China is unbeatable. Either the U.S. takes out Russia — and does it soon — or it’s game over. No: Uncle Sam will not go quietly into that dark night. The traitorous Saudi govt, must have done it [ no, Alquada and them were enemies], or it must have been a plot hatched by the deep state. For no way could a bunch of backward desert natives fed up with our meddling in their homeland, with our alignment with the brutal regime, do such a “complicated” thing to US, goes the hubris. Well, in point of fact it was not that complicated, and they did, and they believed they were defending their homeland. They saw themselves as freedom fighters [ the US did remove its military bases from SA after 9-11]. And US went into Iraq primarily b/c they thought Alqada might topple SA regime, and Iraq also had oil [though that was not any more the primary reason] US needed to have a base of operation in the ME, and unlike SA those Iraqis are not fundi fanatics, so would not mind the presence of US military base there [we built the world’s largest US compound embassy there] and off base, their needed whore houses and bars for the soldiers. But lo and behold, though not fundi fanatics and not offended by alcohol or whore houses, or western garbed women, the Iraqis did not ask to be shocked and awed and so they fought back. How dare they!
Any way Alqada launched the new millennium; bottom- up people power, not top- down nation state power. They showed US there could be consequences to US for our policies towards them, how dare they! They upset that apple cart. And the US showed her true colors; violating all of its professed beliefs the first time we got a dose of what we’ve been dishing out without batting an eye! Fact is,the natives got uppity!

Unfortunately most in the West are LGBT positive, BLM, woke, global warming, Greta loving weirdos like yourself, which is one of the reasons why the West is going downhill.

Going back to other matters, the Fertile Crescent is becoming no more so fertile, its becoming dry like a desert, India is also expected to encounter some bad droughts in the future. Hopefully India’s government has planned for this. Russia was always exporting the most wheat in the world, and now Russia is acquiring Ukraine’s crop production as well, so Russia can alleviate most of the shortfall to come. When one area in the world gets drier, other areas get wetter. And no, this is not global warming, this is normal climate change, the earth has undergone alternate hot and cold spells for millennia, before humans came along with their polluting industrialization. We’re heading into a cold spell at the moment.

  361. These numbers seem fantastical, but then, it’s been said over 200,000 people died in former Yugoslavia in several years of war. Still, my guess is the number of dead can’t be THAT high after one year of war.

Are Ukrainians this stupid? Or have they been duped by the government and Western media that they are winning, thus willing to be thrown into the ‘meat grinder’?
Or have many Ukrainians really drunk the kool-aid that they are a UNIQUE people apart from the Russians? Like what? Slavo-Aryans? If so unique and so nationalist, why did they hand over their nation to Jews who push globo-homo and diversity agenda?
Or, is Zelensky’s secret police so terrifying that many are more afraid of the Ukrainian regime than of the Russians and simply do as told, even it means sure death in war?

One thing for sure, the JeWest sure built up Ukraine into the premier military power in Europe. By 2022, it had a stronger military than France, Germany, UK, and etc. More men under arms, more fortifications, more supplies, more tanks and missiles, etc. And since the war began, lots more have been poured in. So, even without WWIII, Russia is fighting the entire West by proxy.

Could the numbers of dead been greatly reduced if Russia did what Paul Craig Roberts called for? A total blitzkrieg attack on all of Ukraine by the entirety of Russian military? It surely would have led to lot more Russian casualties but could it have brought about a quick end to the war and less bloodshed? Or was Russia worried that if it poured everything to defeat Ukraine, it would be left vulnerable if NATO entered the war against Russia?

Or was there something else? In Iraq, the US quickly conquered territory but failed to rid the country of fighting men who merely went underground and carried out a prolonged guerrilla war against the US and the newly propped up Shia-majority government. US won the territorial war quickly but ended up with a protracted conflict as the fighting men(trained under Hussein) were still around with lots of weapons.
Perhaps, Russia is taking the opposite approach. Focus less on taking territory and more on taking out the Ukrainian military piecemeal by piecemeal by baiting them into places like Bahkmut. Lure them in and keep destroying them with artillery. If McGregor’s estimate is correct, it seems Ukraine has really been drained of the bulk of its fighting men. And when those men vanish, the territory opens up for easier conquest.

Ohhhh . . . after the invasion case closed. As of those opposed would risk hostile retaliation. I stand where i came in — this is old hat nonsense. But just for fun.

Ohhh seriously, idiot? The articles you linked to don’t prove anything. They don’t support your claim. The laughably absurd “Amnesty International” article – to which no author’s name is even attached – is an example of classic jew-inspired cia propaganda; it’s laughably absurd.

The fact of the matter is that the Russian areas of Eastern Ukraine wanted to join Russia in 2014 but the Russian government didn’t accept them back then; apparently in part because the Russian government believed at the time that diplomacy could work. It makes no sense that Russia would have to force people to vote to join Russia in 2022 (under threat of violence) for something they’d been trying to do since 2014.

BTW with regard to coercion involving the use of weapons, the evidence shows that anti-government terrorists were the ones shooting protesters at Maidan on Feb. 20, 2014, yet you don’t seem to be at all “dubious” about the legitimacy of the “Maidan Revolution”; so apparently you’re just lying, as usual.

    ohhh good grief,

i did not indicate whether the spontaneous protest was free of violence. No doubt there was some violence and it eventually became a tit for tat affair for a while.

Ohhh good grief, there you go again, you mendacious moron. As the research article I linked to shows, the Maidan violence wasn’t just some generic, sporadic violence; it was calculated violence with pre-positioned snipers and spotters. It was false-flag violence, apparently the violent end game of a long-standing subversive effort to overthrow the legitimate government of Ukraine. It was a form of violent coercion.

That is not really an issue for me.

Laughing…well of course it isn’t because it proves (if any more proof is required) that you’re a hypocrite and a liar, so naturally you refuse to acknowledge it.

I make no claims that there was no violence — there was some. But by and large the protests were peaceful, large and spontaneous against those seeking to tie Ukrainian fortunes to Russia.

Once again, idiot, the mass murder by snipers working for the coup plotters was a calculated act of false flag violence apparently intended to enrage the people, prevent any kind of legitimate political solution and overthrow the government of Ukraine.

The robust historical record of U.S. “government” subversive activities all over the world (e.g. Operation TPAJAX, Operation Gladio, etc.) proves that such false flag violence is a standard U.S. “government” political destabilization technique which usually always involves the hijacking/manipulation of some pre-existing political/cultural/religious/economic dispute or division in the target country.

Laughing…so now you’re apparently taking the position that one type of coercion – the alleged threat of gun violence during a plebiscite in Russian held territory (something for which there is no actual evidence whatsoever) – is illegitimate, whereas a false flag act of mass murder by agents provocateurs – is a legitimate way to achieve a certain political goal?

    Do you hear yourself, goofball?

    Ohh goodness me oh my.

“On the contrary of course you do, communist. Yep, just like all the other girly boys.”

Laugh. more irrelevant insulting language — I am shocked. Laughing. The point is that none of the insults matter a twiddle to the issues.

Clearly the main issue is that you’re an ignorant fool, a liar, a hypocrite, a coward and apparently, a girly boy; none of which are my fault, chumpy, I’m just the messenger of truth here, so naturally someone with your manifest perversity, profound ignorance and cognitive impairment, moral bankruptcy, etc., would find such truth “insulting.”

I could be a dog typing responses and each and everyone of your arguments still fail upon test.

If you could somehow rise to the level of a “dog” knucklehead it would be a big improvement over your present condition, in which case you’d be in agreement with me, not making an ass out of yourself with childishly contrarian nonsense.

Well that’s all the time I have for you today, goofball.

  375. “The head of the Russian Federation i.e. Vladamir Putin has already stated that Russia is not interested in a world in which it does not exist. The Russians are fighting an existential battle, the Americans are trying to keep their empire.”

Utter nonsense. And Russian paranoia is what is driving them. Pres Putin had literally managed to win over a good part of the world. Europe was always going to be an issue. The history there is rife with spying and counter spying and the USSR’s tendency to engage in hard ball – the wall was no joke.

But the invasion squandered all of that.

Ukraine was not a threat to Russia. Not even Poland was looking for fight. n o one posed any threat to the offense — not a one.. Your comment makes no sense in light of the evidence, most profound among them the pipeline project, that would have been a benefit to the Europe and Easten Europe on the whole.

There was even healthy skepticism and debate regarding the accused assassinations and attempts to the same inside Europe. The insular circle in the Kremlin have miscalculated. Sure the win to the immediate may seem nice. but the long term consequence has Russia looking as knee jerk as the former Soviet union.

Neither China nor Iran accept the arguments about Ukraine being a non country nor doi the accept the occupation that caused the so called annexed regions.

Just because the Russians are paranoid doesn’t mean that they’re not out to get them.

The hostility of the US, NATO and the collective West against Russia has long been apparent to all. They were placing anti-missile defences on Russia’s borders while mendaciously claiming it was to protect Europe from a missile attack by Iran. Biden has openly stated that he was going to derail the North Stream even before the war broke out. The West has been sponsoring conferences about breaking up Russia. The West has been sponsoring all sorts of NGOs and other groups and individuals in Russia that are hostile to the Russian government and state. I don’t see Russia sponsoring conferences about breaking up the USA I don’t see Russians sponsoring BLM, La Razza, Nation of Islam let alone terrorist groups in USA and EU, yet the West does something like that in Russia and all Russia friendly countries. The only thing that Russia may have done was support a US businessman cum politician who was going to make America great again, even though that is disputed. This situation reminds me of the scene in Tombstone in which Wyatt is calling the bluff of the card dealer: “You skin that smoke wagon and we’ll see what happens! I’m gettin’ tired of all your gas, now jerk that pistol and go to work! I said throw down, boy!” Wyatt slaps him around and he leaves in tears, goes and gets his shotgun, which gets taken away from him.

Even by conservative estimates, Russia has lost more personnel and materiel in Ukraine in less than a year than it did in 10 years in Afghanistan. Putin violated ever tenet of The Art of War. No secrecy, no deception, terrible intelligence, abysmal planning, no depth in equipment or personnel – they’re throwing criminals, mercenaries, and old veterans and untrained and poorly equipped kids into the field like Germany did at the end. And for what? The self-aggrandizement of one man.

This reminds me of another movie, The Good Shepherd, when a Russian defector is being debriefed: “Soviet power is a myth. Great show. There are no spare parts. Nothing is working, nothing, it’s nothing but painted rust. But you, you need to keep the Russian myth alive to maintain your military industrial complex. Your system depends on Russian being perceived as a mortal threat. It’s not a threat. It was never a threat. It will never be a threat. It’s a rotted, bloated cow.” That was set in the ’50s but it seems to be as pertinent now, even prophetic. In the ’50s it was the failure of collectivism; now it’s the rot of corruption. And oligarch’s being defenestrated or otherwise suicided left and right as a result.

Crazy world – glad I’m old and got to enjoy my life in somewhat saner times.

“…what is Russia doing about this ( tanks) escalation? More sound and fury.”

Yes, sound and fury sufficient enough to cause 100,000 plus Ukraine military deaths, several hundred thousand military injuries, and the displacement of about 8 million Ukrainians from their homes. Additionally, the sound and fury has resulted in the Ukraine GDP dropping by 30%, which is their own number but is more likely to be 50%. Add on 20 to 40% of Ukraine residents having to endure only partial days of heat, electricity, and running water and school aged children not being educated.
I could keep going on but I’m sure you’ve already realized your comment didn’t stand up. As for the average citizen of Ukraine, I’m pretty sure they don’t want any more Russian “sound and fury”. They’ve had enough. It’s past time for Zelensky to inform NATO that there has been more than enough Ukraine blood spilled and if the many NATO warmongers want more sound and fury let NATO shed the blood from this point on. Good grief !! Wake up and smell the coffee !

If Ukraine wants to quit so be it. But as long as they intend to withstand Russia’s aggression — then they should get the support required to remove Russia from Ukraine.

You may be smelling something, and certainly someone should wake up, but it’s not coffee and it it certainly is not anyone who prizes sovereignty. And rejects being held hostage to the irrational fears of others.

  383. “Just because the Russians are paranoid doesn’t mean that they’re not out to get them.

Nothing wrong with paranoia unless it drives one to act out beyond the rational threat. If i go for a walk and i walk alot at night after 12AM as routine, paranoia makes sense, but if i lash out at every potential threat when they are not — i am simply wrong. My imagined fears must have salience to actual threat, not merely the potential for the same.

And every single one of those that might pose a threat could blaspheme and rail against all day, i am still barred from taking action. Suppose I am in an open carry state — the presence of a weapon does not permit me to strike out.

As for missiles along Russian borders . . . . let me know when Russia removes missiles aimed at her local opponents.

As for Pres Biden’s policy — that was after the invasion and one should have expected as much. No one is talking about dismantling Russia — there is a keen and real interest in removing Russia from Ukraine.

  384. Russian strategic aims

The point Russia has been actively engaged in looking for avenues to deconstruct US and US influence around the globe. Now I am not calling foul on thjat agenda. But one should expect a response.

When one speaks of breaking up Russia, they are referring to conglomeration of former countries that have been annexed and incorporated.

That’s bang on. The rational response to this situation would be for the RU leadership to launch their own first strike, if they really see defeat as an existential threat. Their current assurances should be no obstacle: the enemy they face has no honor and deserves no honorable restraint in return. Recurring-interaction game theory considerations do not apply, since a rematch is unlikely to occur.

I don’t know who controls the weather but there could be a point in the control of the science of global warming. Indeed it has long been known to science but its hysterical promotion in recent times and its promotion by Western governments could be so as to hurt Russian gas and oil exports and to stop the development of the Third World as these are the major challengers to Western global rule. Can you really see Third World countries developing further on alternative energy sources only? Third World countries becoming industrial and military powers worries them immensely as Third Worlders may want to get their revenge for all the crimes of colonialism and imperialism, especially by providing armies in the global war that is unfolding. The hysteria of global warming is just another way of keeping the Third World and enemies of the collective West down. It is also the height of hypocrisy going around the world promoting alternative energy sources to these countries rich in gas and oil reserves after all the pollution they have caused themselves and continue to emit.

So far the only criminals vs humanity who ever used nuclear weapons are the USA…

Actually, if there is an evil empire on earth, again it’s the USA.

Most of our problems today come from the USA.

You don`t explain why the russians would lose conventional war on their territory.

Whitout explanation you seem like another american excepcionalist.

    Anyway you are very wrong.

  398. “Under the Obaminable regime Biden as the Veep was the chief Gauleiter in Ukraine…At the same time his Boykin Hunter was raking in the dough from Burma. Something stinks all right.”

The response does not address the central issue. The smell whether rancid, pungent or a mild wisp of skunk spray does not address the issue. And I don’t take issue with anyone who acknowledges that the VP engaged in policies manipulation undermining the then president’s goals of untangling the US from the foreign mess of the Ukraine matter. So much for the constant haranguing of whites liberals worshipping blacks, even a “black” president who contradicted his own agenda of reducing US use of force in foreign policy.

Both, the VP and the Sec of State, a white woman at the time orchestrated undermining the agenda of reducing or clarifying US involvement in Ukraine.

As for the US being an evil empire. The evidence is very slight that the mistakes in foreign policy add up to evil intent. Not to mention the dismiss, the notion of the US as an empire. If anything the evidence strongly suggests that it is the US that is being gobbled up by others.

Latin Americans, Asians, Europeans and the ME, eat an oversized bite of the the US and have gotten very little in return.

Latins and Asians countries crush suck the life out of US employment and the like via outsourcing and immigration, especially latin nations along with the UN pushing illegal immigration and the US take in without care or restriction, their unwanted, their agents of change (education) and drug cartels along with their drugs, Eurpeans and ME demanding US security support — now warranted given Russia’s invasion. All thwarting the US desperate need to invest in herself.

Yet the best that we can do is whine about our jewish citizens, and black citizens.

I find it very curious that so many so called conservatives are silent in defending police conduct on the most recent media related incident. Usually, there is without hesitation a defense of the police. Interesting.

  399. The Latins do NOT control the border. The orders come from waaaaaay up the scrotumpole of control, in other words above and beyond the Di$trict of Corruption. The borders could be shut solid if those MANAGING on behalf of the agenda setters dared actually take matters into their own hands.
