“Any appeal to the white working class, as in today’s alt-right populism, betrays class struggle.”
Slavoj Žižek, The Philosophical Salon, 2019.

Commenting on the political aspects of Shelley’s life and poetry, Virginia Woolf asserted in 1927 that the poet’s England “has already receded, and his fight, valiant though it is, seems to be with monsters who are a little out of date, and therefore slightly ridiculous.” Woolf was referring to Shelley’s nineteenth-century opposition to a system in which journalists were imprisoned for being disrespectful to the Prince Regent, men were stood in stocks for publishing attacks upon the Scriptures, weavers were executed upon the suspicion of treason, and boys (Shelley included) were expelled from Oxford for avowing their atheism. Dramatic in its own time and context, by the decadent mid-1920s such activism had indeed become a little anachronistic on paper, even if I disagree with Woolf that it had become slightly ridiculous. The exertion of political power, after all, is a monster that may change costume and migrate in certain seasons, but is also a fixed reality of human relations and therefore no more ridiculous, in any guise or era, than the people it rests upon.

The profundity of Woolf’s comment, for me, therefore lies less in its discussion of Shelley’s poetry than in its exposure of Woolf’s own interwar sense of political security. It is this sense of political security that today seems the more out of date, and therefore slightly ridiculous, especially as we live in an age where the monsters of the past, present, and putative future, are perpetually invoked in all areas of life. Today, people are imprisoned for being disrespectful to certain races, men are stood in the postmodern equivalent of stocks for attacking certain ideologies, workers are today arrested more often for patriotism than treason, and children are threatened with expulsion for the new sin of ‘racism.’ Woolf’s smug security, and not Shelley’s poetic demonology of the political, thus seems quaint at a time when everything in the tumultuous present is discussed via reference to monsters that may at any moment return from their slumber or drop their mask, and are certainly not to be laughed at.

How does one fight today’s monsters, and who is fighting them? One of the most interesting aspects of the persistent Yellow Vest protests, about to enter their tenth weekend and once more growing in size, is that they have been claimed by almost everyone on the political spectrum. As such, no-one is yet clear as to what monsters the Yellow Vests fight, or which monsters the movement itself may give birth to. Although coming from an avowedly Marxist/Maoist perspective, Slavoj Žižek is almost certainly correct is his recent assertion that:

The yellow vests movement fits the specific French Left tradition of large public protests targeting the political, more than the business or financial, elites. However, in contrast to the 68’ protests, the yellow vests are much more a movement of France profonde (“deep France”), its revolt against big metropolitan areas, which means that its Leftist orientation is much more blurred. (Both le Pen and Melenchon support the protests.) As expected, commentators are asking which political force will appropriate the energy of the revolt, le Pen or a new Left, with purists demanding that it remain a “pure” protest movement at a distance from established politics. One should be clear here: in all the explosion of demands and expression of dissatisfaction, it is clear the protesters don’t really know what they want. They don’t have a vision of a society they want, just a mix of demands that are impossible to meet within the system, even though they address them at the system.

Attempts to define the protesters in simple terms appear doomed to failure. Not only have factions of French Yellow Vest protesters been filmed fighting each other in Paris, but in almost every attempt to export this protest model there have been similar splits and fights, as competing groups attempt to see themselves, and only themselves, in the Rorschach of riotous assembly. Most recently, in London, pro-Brexit Yellow Vest protesters and anti-Brexit Yellow Vest protesters clashed at Trafalgar Square, with reports of both sides calling each other ‘Nazis.’ Both the collapse into Yellow Vest vs Yellow Vest, and the mutual use of the ‘Nazi’ pejorative, are illustrative of the wider confusion of ideology and childish terror in the face of name-calling in postmodern politics. These phenomena also illustrate the fact that, as Žižek points out, none of these groups have a vision of a society they want (or will admit to wanting). One guide to characters in James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake is titled “Who’s Who When Everybody is Somebody Else?” — a question that could as easily be put to the labyrinthine and evasive nature of a postmodern political activism in which identities are claimed and simultaneously disavowed by all concerned.

The disavowals create their own rhetorical-ideological mazes. A staid and tired Old Right fights the Left’s almost recreational allegations of Fascism by asserting that it opposes the “real Fascists.” Meanwhile, at the first accusation of racism, “Nationalists” like Steve King frantically defend and enunciate their doctrine as meaning there is nothing special about their nation beyond a set of abstract values — values that are, in King’s words, “attainable by everyone … people of all races, religions, and creeds.”

That’s quite a nationalism. Our contemporary political context is thus one in which the Fascists are anti-Fascists, but anti-Fascists are Fascists who call the anti-Fascists Fascists, and while Nationalists like Steve King are apparently also multicultural Globalists, we are assured that the only thing we can sure about is that everyone is a Nazi. This isn’t a sentence from Joyce’s Wake, but it could be, because in today’s political zeitgeist Everybody is Somebody Else.

While the more ideologically senile elements of the Old Right are tragically entertaining and infuriating in equal measure, this isn’t to say the Left is free from its own conflicting and contradictory abstractions and evasions. Far from it. Žižek smugly observes of the Yellow Vests that their demands are a “combination of contradictory requests — ‘Please protect our environment while providing cheaper fuel!’” But isn’t the Left full of even more ridiculous contradictory requests? ‘Please let in droves of foreign workers while providing higher wages!’ ‘Please protect our environment while building masses of cheap houses for our growing foreign population!’; ‘Please keep us safe and free while importing terrorists and monitoring the internet activity of racists!’; ‘Please stop sexual harassment and objectification while encouraging the sexualization of all aspects of life!’; ‘Please fight racism while reminding everyone of the particular evil of the White man!’ The motto of the French Left’s protests in 1968 was ‘Soyons réalistes! Demandons l’ impossible!’ (‘Let’s be realistic! Demand the impossible!) It was uttered, at the time, entirely without irony, and yet how could the Left, which has internalized the motto with comical earnestness, escape irony now? The Left is now the embodiment of irony; a joke at its own expense, a bundle of contradictions wrapped in childish impetuousness and naivety.

Are the Yellow Vests, as Žižek implies, also a joke? Not in the most material of terms. Thus far, 12 people have died, about 1,700 protesters have been injured, and a thousand members of the security forces. Four people have had their hands permanently destroyed by explosive tear gas grenades, 60 have been shot in the face with rubber bullets, and 12 people have lost at least one eye. Fueling these sacrifices is a swelling rage, and there is a case to be made that the Yellow Vest movement is, even if it can’t itself see it, in large part and in its origins, ‘the Sound and the Fury’ of the abandoned White working class, with all the indecipherable raw emotion of the opening chapter of Faulkner’s magnificent novel of the same name. Setting aside the issue of violence, which is no rarity in multicultural France, the Whiteness of the Yellow Vests alone appears sufficient to send media traitors into hyperbolic spasms. (The [White] working-class and their difficult economic conditions are made clear in this documentary.) American feminist and journalist Lara Marlowe, Paris correspondent for the Irish Times, has asserted that “the revolt is ideologically closest to the far right. Gratuitous violence, racism, sexism, anti-Semitism and homophobia are the dark side of the movement that has plunged France into its worst crisis of the past half century.” She continues, with laughter-inducing earnestness:

The yellow vests’s hatred of high finance often translates into anti-Semitism. Just before Christmas, a group of yellow vests were filmed in Montmartre, making the quenelle, a version of a Hitler salute invented by the humourist Dieudonné. That night, a 74-year-old woman watched three men in yellow vests doing the quenelle in the metro. “That’s an anti-Semitic gesture. I am Jewish. My father died at Auschwitz. Please stop,” asked the woman. “Get lost, old lady,” shouted one of the men. “This is our country! This is our country!” chanted another, repeating the slogan of Le Pen rallies.

Rampant Yellow Vest sexism on display

Aside from anecdotes and overheard chants, however, one struggles to find something tangible in the Yellow Vests — a movement that appears proud of rejecting all political parties, yet suffering from the lack of focus such a relationship might offer. Is there anything in this movement that is useful or meaningful beyond its need to be seen and heard, and to achieve a couple of specific (and almost certainly temporary) changes in policy? Media commentary has become repetitive on this issue, revolving almost exclusively around the theme of visibility. “If the hike in the price of fuel triggered the yellow vest movement, it was not the root cause,” said the geographer Christophe Guilluy. “The anger runs deeper, the result of an economic and cultural relegation that began in the 80s. … Western elites have gradually forgotten a people they no longer see. … Whatever the outcome of this conflict, the gilets jaunes have won in terms of what really counts: the war of cultural representation. Working-class and lower middle-class people are visible again.” But is it enough simply to be seen? (See also this this interview of Guilloy, large portions of which were read by Tucker Carlson on his January 16, 2019 show (here, beginning at 31″). Carlson, like Guilluy, emphasized that this disconnect between elites and the [White] working class marks all Western societies.)

Amidst the sea of evasions, disavowals, and contradictions, it remains the case that the White working class has been abandoned by both the Old Right and the Left. In some cases, the White working class is the reason for the same evasions, disavowals, and contradictions: they are an uncomfortable, and now more visible, reminder of broken promises and unfulfilled obligations. Guilluy adds that “the economic divide between peripheral France and the metropolises illustrates the separation of an elite and its popular hinterland. Western elites have gradually forgotten a people they no longer see. The impact of the gilets jaunes, and their support in public opinion (eight out of 10 French people approve of their actions), has amazed politicians, trade unions and academics, as if they have discovered a new tribe in the Amazon.”

I disagree that visibility, presented in passive terms, is the key issue here. In fact, I believe a better analogy would be that of an Amazonian tribe that had been systematically targeted for extinction, and was assumed to have been incapable of mustering any kind of resurgence. We shouldn’t forget that it became common practice on the Left to pretend the White working class didn’t exist, and that it was also viewed as explicitly oppositional on the Left and among cosmopolitan elites to offer the White working class, as an ethno-economic group, any kind of material or ideological support. Žižek himself argues that “in a state of racial tension and exploitation, the only way to effectively struggle for the working class is to focus on fighting racism (this is why any appeal to the white working class, as in today’s alt-right populism, betrays class struggle).” In Žižek’s malicious dialectic, one betrays a real struggling class in order not to betray a hypothesized struggle of classes (which is actually a racial struggle). This dialectic is common language in Left-Liberal circles, and it’s the reason why quasi-Romantic talk of a “forgotten people” is much too kind to our enemies — enemies who betrayed, attacked, slandered, and debased rather than “forgot.”

The Marxist rationale for the abandonment of the White working class has been adopted across the Left, despite its most obvious flaw— a monoethnic state wouldn’t experience racial tension and would therefore theoretically be a better, or at least less distracted, arena for putative class struggle. In order to remain true to some amorphous future ‘class struggle’ then, working class Whites are being systematically deprived of employment, culturally marginalized, ethnically cleansed from their former strongholds, and submerged in racially agonistic social scenarios until, traumatized by chaos, loss, and violence, they might finally either collapse into the arms of the same Left that brutalized them, or, emaciated and emasculated, dissolve dismally into the multiethnic cauldron.

Slavoj Žižek: Class Warrior, Class Destroyer
Slavoj Žižek: Class Warrior, Class Destroyer

How prominent is race and White identity in the actions of the Yellow Vests? The questions of class, race, demography, and culture are connected, and both subliminal (implicit) and primary, in the Yellow Vest phenomenon, but not in the crude manner suggested by Marlowe. Guilluy observes that the “globalised economy is efficient” but has failed “to create and nurture a coherent society.” He adds:

Employment and wealth have become more and more concentrated in the big cities. The deindustrialised regions, rural areas, small and medium-size towns are less and less dynamic. But it is in these places – in “peripheral France” (one could also talk of peripheral America or peripheral Britain) – that many working-class people live. Thus, for the first time, “workers” no longer live in areas where employment is created, giving rise to a social and cultural shock. … The globalised metropolises are the new citadels of the 21st century – rich and unequal, where even the former lower-middle class no longer has a place. Instead, large global cities work on a dual dynamic: gentrification and immigration. This is the paradox: the open society results in a world increasingly closed to the majority of working people.

It’s true that the return of ‘peripheral’ France to cosmopolitan, multicultural Paris created a shock among the elites. But wasn’t there another shock beyond the mere fact these people still existed? Wasn’t there a shock that the periphery would dare to make “old fashioned” economic demands of a type that had for some time been relegated to mere background noise in the clamor for the right to sodomy, feminism, cheap foreign labor, and ‘convenience’ abortion? In these areas there is perhaps no better commentator than E. Michael Jones, especially in this classic video. As Jones points out, in his own inimitable style:

Our friends on the Left, let me tell you, the fact that you now have homosexual marriage means that you cannot talk about economics any more … The Left sold out during the 1970s, where they said basically, “You give us sexual liberation and we won’t criticize your economic system.” And that’s why we have Goldman Sachs and Lloyd Blankfein endorsing gay marriage – because it’s in their interest, their economic interest. Homosexuals, and people who aren’t homosexuals but act like them, are easy to control. Once you have non-transient, fertile relations, the father feels that he needs a raise to raise his family, and suddenly he’s causing trouble with the personnel department … This is our definition of freedom: You can commit sodomy in the men’s room and that’s freedom. Of course, you’re not going to get paid a decent wage any more. It’s gone. The family wage is gone. So you better just get used to being a homosexual, and take what little wage we give you and be happy, and go to the disco and have sex with ten men … The revolutionaries in this instance were a cabal of three different groups of people: the CEO’s, the homosexuals, and the Jews.

In the clash between the Yellow Vests and the government elite in France, we saw not just a clash between a forgotten periphery and a cosmopolitan center, but a clash between struggling families and childless, city-dwelling elites who see themselves as world citizens and not as part of a living, breathing, reproducing France. The obvious nature of this clash had led the usual suspects to scramble for alternative interpretations, most comically in the form of Harvey Feigenbaum, a professor of political science at George Washington University, who told one media outlet that the weeks of intense rioting and rhetoric were due solely to the fact “people don’t like Macron.”

Harvey Feigenbaum: “Nothing to see here, goyim.”
Harvey Feigenbaum: “Nothing to see here, goyim.”

Feingenbaum’s simplistic nonsense aside, news that a rival, cosmopolitan faction named the foulards rouges (‘red scarves’), are about to stage a massive counter-protest on January 27 is just further evidence of the creation of new warring ‘classes’ in which worldview as much as economics plays a significant formative role. The ‘red scarves’ have originated in Vaucluse, an area within the tourism hub of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur — a more affluent area with lower-than-average agricultural employment and higher-than-average employment in high technology, biotechnology, and microelectronics. The Spectator anticipates “truck drivers and brickies wearing yellow vests” confronting “engineers and techies wearing red scarves.” The latter are overwhelmingly single, childless, media friendly, and enjoy a high disposable income. Their experience of multiculturalism is often limited to exotic restaurants or university-educated STEM workers from Asia. By contrast, the former, as Gavin Mortimer stresses, have had their lives lampooned and been smeared with a multitude of ‘isms’ and ‘phobias’ by politicians and journalists who, simultaneously, champion open borders because they believe Europe owes it to the third world. They don’t understand that the misery and poverty they think exists only in Africa and the Middle East is also found closer to home. The victims of globalisation are everywhere.

For me, it is this disparity that gets to the real heart of the problem with “visibility.” Because the issue here is with a kind of segregation, not between Whites and ethnics, but between Whites and those Whites who are not part of the deliberate, malicious elite, but who nevertheless exist within a relatively comfortable bubble in which, for the time being, they can afford to be ignorant of the looming racial storm on the horizon. This is an issue of fundamental differences in lived experiences. The best succinct summary of what I mean in this regard comes from Ron Unz’s “Open Letter to the Alt-Right.” Unz highlights the experience of multiculturalism among Silicon Valley types:

Silicon Valley is a different story. … There are huge numbers of other immigrants in the technology industry, and a noticeable slice of them are Muslims. Nearly all of these groups seem like perfectly fine people, very few are criminals, and virtually none are terrorists. Trump and Ann Coulter and others may talk about swarming hordes of “Mexican rapists,” but they just don’t seem to exist in real life. Rightwingers may claim that immigrant crime has been forcing affluent whites to barricade themselves inside gated communities, but Silicon Valley has no gated communities. For twenty years, Steve Jobs lived in an ordinary house sitting on an ordinary street, one which wouldn’t have seemed too out of place in the white-bread San Fernando Valley of the 1950s, and the same is true for many of the other top Silicon Valley execs. … So the problem is that when people notice that many of the things your organizations are saying are absolutely 100% contrary to what they actually see in their ordinary lives, they quickly conclude that you’re just as crazy as your critics in the MSM always say you are, and they immediately dismiss all of your other claims and ideas. Perhaps that’s not entirely fair, but it’s what happens. Meanwhile, certain other “alt-right”-type issues have very little daily resonance in Silicon Valley. For example, black behavior here is just as problematical as it is elsewhere, and blacks are responsible for a remarkably high fraction of all the serious local crime. But since there are very few blacks, it’s relatively easy for local “good-thinking” people to pretend not to notice the problem. Overall, California has by far the lowest black percentage of any large state, and for Silicon Valley, the figure is something like 3%, of which a relatively high fraction are middle-class engineers and such, while overall crime rates are too low for it to be much of an issue.

And with this, we find ourselves back, in a way, with Woolf and Shelley. But instead of being separated by decades and centuries, we find two groups co-existing at the same time, the one nonetheless finding the other’s monsters “a little out of date, and therefore slightly ridiculous.” Woolf laughed, and yet within a few short years the world she believed was secure would descend into chaos, damaged almost beyond repair. What monsters loom now, and who will dare to laugh at them?

TO CALL SOMEBODY ANTI-SEMITE IS A SIGN OF MENTAL ILLNESS.

Thanks for the article, Sir. In my life, I have found some people to be mentally ill. I realized they are mentally ill this way:

Over my lifetime, I have criticized Arabia, Brazil, China, Denmark, etc.

Nobody has ever told me that I am “anti-Arabic”, “anti-Brazil”, etc.

Do you ever see people from these countries carrying signs or writing in newspapers that so and so is “Anti-chinese”, “anti-Danish”?

    No, almost never.

    Only the Judaists do.

Why? Because they have a sense of entitlement, that people cannot criticize them, that they are above reproach. In psychiatry, a “sense of entitlement” is a sign of mental illness.

Those who call others anti-semites are basically admitting that they are mentally ill.

Oh please. Maybe, just maybe, her father died at Auschwitz, typhus is a bitch. But the fact is that he was not gassed and there is no proof he was. Just ask her for proof and see what you get.
The alleged ‘gas chambers’ were scientifically impossible.

“Get lost, old lady” … indeed.

I can understand these worries about the Gilet Jaune movement. Still, one has to understand that what this movement fights is what I would call the individualism cultural supremacy. The french society slowly disintegrated with individualism, traditionnal solidarities disappearing as life became economically more and more difficult, and as average french people were progressively made guilty for colonialism, racism, slavery, sexual minorities oppression etc…(while the real culprits if any were the french elites).
The yellow jackets are oppressed both economically and culturally. The yellow jacket movement has marked the beginning of the end of cultural oppression for native french people and more importantly as a consequence, the rebirth of solidarity between people and the setting of human values back at the center of collective life. People have understood that in a society where money is at the center, they will without fail become enslaved by the corrupt elites. They want to build something very different, with collective human values back at the center-stage.
That is why this movement is so resilient, and why people courageously continue to demonstrate despite the risks of losing an eye, teethes, a hand or even their life due to police random violences.
And there is no way back, as with police violences and stupid elites reaction, more and more people open their eyes.
For me, the yellow jacket is a movement of the real elite french people: the most aware people, the most altruistic people, and the most courageous people.
No monster should result from this movement, the real monster is the current (financial) world order.

  5. I assure you the yellow vests want many socialist things–better healthcare, better safety net, better public transportation. And they expect the government to provide it for them. After all, supposedly it is their government. They are not so painfully gullible as the shootthemselvesintheirownfoot American hoi polloi who demand an end to social services. They may be conservative and white, but they are not stupid.

  6. Art says:

These phenomena also illustrate the fact that, as Žižek points out, none of these groups have a vision of a society they want (or will admit to wanting).

The Yellow Jackets are France’s middleclass. They have lost power over their lives.

The Yellow Jacket enemy is big national business, big national banks, big national institutions, and big national government. All of those “big” things, the middleclass have NO control over – yet those big things have control over them. Those big things have them in a vise. Wherever they turn – they bump into these big national organizations. Their money, their property, their political choices are all controlled far away from them in a political capital – by a self-serving deep state national apparatus. The middle class is becoming powerless.

The middleclass are no longer in control of their lives – they are no longer free.

It is the same thing is happening in America, Britain, Canada, and the West in general. The answer is to return to local ownership, our businesses, organizations, and institutions – thereby stripping nationalism of its power.

But warning: Barbara Ehrenreich said much the same in Nickle and Dimed years ago, and after a few grudging “yeah, okays” the issue went right back to oblivion. And worse, Barbara herself went and caved in on the issue. No future giving speeches to the bankrupt.

The 1968 revolts in Paris were just typical yid astroturf. The historical narrative and the minds of the baby boomers across the west had already been taken over after Operations Mockingbird, Paperclip, Gladio and MkUltra. CIA/MI6/Mossad had gained complete control of western media. De Gaulle was a nationalist and had to go, and the empowering of the useful idiot flower-power boomer students was another big goal of the spectacle.

The Yellow Vests (GJ) are not students and thus have more credibility, but they could very well be astroturf anyway. Mind Control and propaganda techniques have been continually improved by big tech like joogle, twatter and kikebook. A few key words from broadcast media, advertising, and pop culture mixed with a jews-brew of internet mind control, even some mind control substances in the water, wine or baguettes, and this entire movement could be as fake as the “revolution” (overthrow of the Bourbon in reality) in 1789.

Even if the GJ were not directly subverted from the very beginning, all the conditions necessary to create these protests could have been carefully prepared long ago. Taxes, highway fees, petty regulations can all be dialed up or down when necessary. Price rises on certain important consumer goods can deliberately be manipulated. Before virtually every color revolution they manipulate the weather and create food shortages through drought. They create and inflate other economic and social problems in order to create the conditions for a protest spreading like wildfire.

I use the term wildfire, because this metafore applies also to the tidal wave of extreme “abnormal” wildfires in California. In all these fire, the conditions were prepared by weather manipulation and various local policies to set up the conditions for a firestorm. Then, even if they don’t use DEW or smart meters to spark the fire, all it takes is some illegal migrant or over heated brakes to get 170 fires started simultaneously (in Santa Rosa). That is the story they tell us anyway.

If we look at the French government’s reaction to GJ, it often seems as if it is deliberately created to prolong the crisis. Shooting people with rubber grenades and bullets, beating them and kicking them in front of thousands of smart phones is guaranteed to get the people very riled up. To me it looks planned. Perhaps they want to get any future potential leaders of the movement to step forward so that they can arrest them and put them on ice or under the ground.

If we are to assume that this entire GJ brouhaha isn’t astroturf and there hasn’t been a precisely planned trajectory, then I ask myself what it would take for them to succeed in eliminating Macron, the French Swamp, and breaking up, or at least emasculating, the EU.

It certainly couldn’t be a Christian leader like Joan of Arc, the jews have thoroughly athiezed France over the last 250 years. It couldn’t be a Rothschild technocrat like Macron. It certainly couldn’t come from the French elites or Sciences Po. It could possibly come from the Military, but I think Macrons actions are convincing the GJ that Military authority will not be a solution. De Gaulle was forced out by the 1968 protests and was one of the prime objects of their scorn.

If the GJ are to have any success, they will require someone with strength, wisdom and foresight to pull all the various factions together. A gangster or strongman will be not able to succeed by strong arm tactics, let along survive the Rothschilds.

This leader would have to appeal to something very French in the inner soul of the French people. Not to empire, not to the greatness of Bourbon France, not to the French empire, not to Napoleon, and certainly not to the Catholic church. Something deeper, something like Asterix. It could well be a woman, but certainly not a feminist.

If the GJ are ultimately have any kind of success, they need a mystic leader. Perhaps Marion Le Pen. But certainly not Marie.

The white US/European middle class in their (for the time being comfortable) bubble, are given wall to wall indoctrination in Goodthink.

So, it’s interesting that so many are fighting the conditioning to vote for America First, Brexit and support France’s Yellow Vests. They’re not “Deplorables” themselves, but they sympathize with the protesters, and don’t at all like the Zio-Glob elite looters and their SJW wrecker allies.

It also points to a basic unity between America First, Brexit and the Yellow Vests.

For example, the UK and EU elites have conspired to kick into touch, and ignore, the Brexit vote but it’s not working for them. Ex UKIP leader Nigel Farage has said that if the automatic (by law) Hard Brexit doesn’t happen on the 29th March 2019, then he’ll lead a new Brexit Party that will make it happen, and focus on genuine Britain First (i.e. for the British people rather than the Globalists) and run against the Conservative and Labour parties.

The United States and France are pointing the same way.

There’s nothing to stop an American founding an America First Party (forget Trump and the Republicans) to enact America First legislation (no ME wars, infrastructure spending, shut down mass immigration, stop uncontrolled outsourcing etc.)and run against the Republicans and the Democrats, or a Frenchman founding a France First party along the same lines (which would in fact be the Yellow Vest party).

  13. One should be careful not to generalize, but the Yellow Vests movement in France isn’t “white v ethnic”, it’s much more urban v rural. That’s why it was a fuel tax that set off the movement. Outside of France’s larger cities, public transport is pretty awful, so that many people have no choice but to travel to work by car. Similarly, in the UK, it tends to be London and the South-East against the rest. Other than the specific British example the author quotes, the Yellow Vests are generally not anti-EU, for example. They want to change their own society, which is logical inasmuch as the EU operates almost entirely on the basis of unanimous decisions of the Member States (the “Eurocrat dictatorship” is US hegemonist propaganda which only the English have fallen for!). Thus, change the Member States and the EU will automatically change and, conversely, trying to change the EU without first changing the Member States is a fruitless exercise. The Yellow Vest protestors seem to have grasped that, even if they might not be able to articulate it in those terms.

The elected leader actions, whoever he/she is, would be thoroughly scrutinized and controlled by the people. It is not a perfect system, but it is probably the only solution so that a fight against finance/globalism be possible with reasonable chances of success.

it was clear from the beginning this movement was directionless in a sense. But consider as pointed out it is white it is anti elite and little else but that’s kind of a lot, they all know the minute they declare whatever they declare they will be denounced so they don’t declare. They havnt planned it but they intuit it for the most part they all know what wil happen if they declare anyone of their specific grievances so they keep their moths shut and throw rocks its actually brilliant in a way because the elites and the left or is that the eliteleft also know they are anti left elites but cant get them to say it and since riots are always leftist they cant just declare them rightists especially since the left now owns the state the capital and the media/academy it would have to explain how rightists can be rioting for economic equality so the elite/state is also not declaring anything but a lack of order.
The important takeaway is we have entered the era of white riot and of course france would be where it first emerges we could call them the canaries in the coal mine lol
whites have run out of wealth and s[pace to avoid diveshitty they can no longer ignore it as some other losers problem its now in their own face affirmative action has moved from construction unions to tech and while blue collar workers had ways to fight a bit if not at the legal levl at least in the trenches the tech academy etc trenches are full of white fmboys and feminazis utterly incapable of self defence the rout will be quick

First of all, there has been a white genocide going on for centuries, this is really what the first two world wars were about, and France lost both. Demographics is destiny, and I am afraid that a new constitution recognizing referendums is not going to save the French people.

First of all, what good is a referendum in a land of brainwashed zombies where the truth of their entire history has been outlawed due to “anti-semitism”.

Besides, France had a historic referendum call Maastrich. They voted no. A lot of good that did them. England voted yes to Brexit on their referendum. A lot of good that did them. California voted against gay marriage and for english only schools. A lot of good that did them.

But perhaps you are right, the jews will dangle a few shiny baubles like “referendum” and the french boobs will be placated.

you left out elected salaried politicians.
“In essence, the state is ruling apparatus created from the human society. When such a group of people appears, one which is only concerned with ruling over others, and which for that purpose needs a coercion apparatus which can force people to obey by means of jails, special units, armed forces, etc, – that is the moment when the state appears (Lenin, collective works, vol 39, page 69).”
“a new type of opposition to the nation state is slowly forming.. ”
I submit a proposal for a modern definition of the nation state:
The nation state is a weaponized structure, designed by ruling class consensus, which is constructed by actors with sufficient wealth, political and military strength to prevail.
The object of the designed and constructed armed structure (state) is to feedback sufficient information to the designers to facilitate maintenance and structural improvement so that ruling-class appointed politicians can use the structures to control and regulate the behaviors of those targeted to be governed.

Capitalism produces nation state protected competition, capitalism + monopoly ism =>patents & copyrights<= ( is competition muted) + privatization is dismantlement of, and gifting of parts of the state to privatized monopoly powered competition protected feudal lords. Socialism replaces productive competition and selective allocation with competitive allocation and remainder distribution.

It is now proven the only difference between capitalism and communism is who is control of the unfairness of the state.. neither arrangement serves all of the people equally. Something much better than either socialism or capiitalism is needed. 26 people according to oxfam.org.uk have as much money as 200,000,000 other people.. Something about those numbers seems a bit disturbing.

I think you’re right… but history hasn’t given us many (any?) examples of successful downsizing.

In the US alone, the carefully laid plans for states to be able to assert themselves against the federal government were being undone before the ink was dry on the 10th Amendment, and irreparably associated with ‘shameful history’ before another century had passed.

Then the focus widened again to discredit national interests in favor of global interests, or at least interests that paid no attention to political jurisdiction. It’s ironic that many who preach nationalism and resist globalism would have aligned themselves with states’ rights over nationalism. I suppose these same people would prefer county level to state level… and I’m absolutely sympathetic. I’ll even go so far as to say that the county should stay out of the running of individual towns whenever possible. But let’s not reductio ad absurdum.

We’re seeing possibly the last significant period of protest against this trend, and I can’t find it in myself to be hopeful that the smaller will win many concessions from the larger, or that any concessions will be honored rather than eroded over time. Anybody who wins a civil war goes on to compete for the world cup, and the losers are expected to cheer or disappear…

    Merely intuitive thoughts, not science:

USA has little in common with French culture and French social, cultural, political issues.

USA has far stronger linkage with British – Anglo institutions, like Episcopal church and all its offshoots. And Episcopal church will partner with ADL — march in lockstep with ADL, as well as promote global capitalist agenda far more readily than anything French.

Don’t know what constituency in USA has a deep enough connection to the French to get riled up about Yellow Jackets, let alone pronounce the name in French.

Diversity does not extend to acknowledging influence of French culture on USA creation.

When populist outsiders challenge oligarchic insiders, the oligarchs almost always win. How could they lose? They may not have numbers, but they control most of the wealth, expertise, and political influence and dominate the media, universities, and nonprofit sectors. Most populist waves break and disperse on the concrete seawalls of elite privilege.

Peasant revolts never work and we are further from that now than when Smithfield porters marched to Parliament with banners proclaiming “Don’t knock Enoch”. and University of Essex students in 1968, were as likely to identified themselves as “Powellites” as Labor supporters. As John Gray noted the movements of 1968 formed in opposition to capitalism were eventually absorbed by it. Revolutions have never come except in in the aftermath of military reverses in war when the deep state bestirs itself against incompetent elites and does the populists’ work for them.

It took two world wars for the stuffing to be knocked out of the old British system of inherited and accumulating wealth in an increasingly inefficient country. There is a ruling class, and the main danger to its continued selfish rule is the white working class, which is no longer needed to fight wars. A war with between the West and China (at least) is the only real threat to the ruling class’s continued ability to economically degrade the white working class. The sooner it comes the sooner we will appreciate just how good we had (have) it under anti-racism and venal economic elites.

So we end up with contorted news reports that simply bypass most of the important information, even with Tucker.

It is the same problem where the GJ are protesting. There are no edgy signs or banners. I have heard no edgy speeches. This is because everyone has to remain politically correct or they risk prosecutions, fines and costs. Or getting fired from their state job.

There are very few PoC and Antifa is strangely quiet, except in those places where false flag violence is called for. The GJ really appear to be typical cowed and cucked white middle class, but they are naked without any support from organizations or other groups. They have taken all the risk upon themselves.

The one girl who said something about Rothschild was quickly labeled an anti-semite and stifled. Even the attack on the door of the Bank of France has been called anti-semitic. How long will they lock you in a cage if they can drum up some kind of evidence of anti-semitism, racism or even sexism?

So, just like Tucker, these GJ cannot state the plain fact the the jews, if by nothing else but there multiculturalism, race mixing and un restrained immigration, have destroyed the France that these GJ loved. The GJ cannot present evidence of what the negros, muslims and especially the jews have done to the country because they would be thrown in jail. It is not absurd to believe in local control of everything. Local control makes for good neighbors.

60 years ago – 90% of Main Street was locally owned. Now most are Wall Street owned businesses. Locally owned businesses are self-interested in the wellbeing of their customers and their employees. Wall Street owned businesses have lawyers dictating relations with customers and employees. Wall Street money and plastic insinuates itself into most every monetary interaction. We do not need this – period.

Local control and ownership makes for good neighbors – this is fundamental and essential to a rational society. Today, Wall Street one way or another, gets a slice from most every transaction in America. Wall Street has become a new government imposing its will on a nation of serfs. Death, taxes, and Wall Street are absolutes in American life. We have no choice – to live, we must pay Wall Street. Our cash based local existence and freedom are gone into the coffers of the super-rich oligarchs. (And it goes without question – that NY Wall Street controls Washington DC.)

Actually such a transformation is rather unlikely in America. To become the Yellow Vest movement economic issues would have to be addressed and adopted. This however is very unlikely us American alt-right is to large extent a libertarian movement. As everybody should know the libertarianism in America was a very successful psy-op that disarmed the lower classes by taking away their ability to discern reality. The libertarians play the role of useful idiots for the ruling classes just as the left which abandoned economic issues for the identitarian politics.

Whatever you call this post-bourgeois elite—the managers or the technostructure—its power base is in the core of what Galbraith called “the bimodal economy”—capital-intensive, science-based, high-tech industries like manufacturing and the business and financial services which they rely on. Increasing returns to scale produce a tendency for immense size in these industries, which tend therefore to be dominated by efficient oligopolies or monopolies. Galbraith called this “the planning system,” referring to the private planning done within huge corporations that partly replaces markets with internal administration. Something like the older economy of small, owner-operated businesses and competitive local markets continues to exist around the managerial-industrial core, in what Galbraith called “the market system.” The economic historian Alfred D. The ramification of Iraq war and the wars that followed it have destroyed the lives of the blacks and the “terrorist “producing Middle east which did not produce terrorism until 1991 invasion of Iraq . French citizen cant escape their responsibilities . It applies to Belgium UK Norway as well.

But the monster that led them to believe that those wars were to defend certain values and certain way of life and to protect our wealth liberty and development is now targeting the very underlying support base that it misguided/convinced to accept those premises .

The blind spot of awareness of own needs and destruction of someone else way of lives is to the deceptive behavior of Versailles treaty where the promises of freeing 3rd world was thrown out to the waste bin after the war was won.

But this time ,that won’t be repeated . Africa will go down and ME will but it will take the rest . Alternatively the “French” can start arguing and rebelling against the globalist capitalism that supports its way of life at a cost to the rest.

The strength of the Yellow Vests (GJ) comes from their lack of a leader. If no leader arises, the movement could easily morph into direct democracy. The corrupt legislature could be dismissed and the citizens could vote their preferences at home on their computers.

“One of these days they are going to go after the wrong person in the wrong circumstances, and then we might have someone with character and carisma who could pull the movement together if by no other means than some mystic or ancient blood bond. It would be tied into social media.”

I am convinced that this happened already, in various circumstances, but that it stayed buried in the internet because no MSM would relay it. I do not think that one single video of an event relayed by the social media can trigger a movement (despite official history trying to have us believe it): I do not believe in miracles. I also doubt that a single person has nowadays the means to resist smears campaigns organized by the deep state. The most important thing for a movement to start and live is that enough people have reached a minimum level of consciousness, and are ready to fight.
Still, nobody knows the future, and any circumstance allowing for a strong movement to start and live would be good, so I can only hope you might be right to hope for the emergence of a mystic leader.

Up to Sarkozy, the french carefully avoided to be entangled in the ME quagmire, and french citizens have no responsabilties in that. Since then, Sarkozy brought back France in the OTAN, Bernard Henry Levy and the jewish power organized the Lybia intervention, and the french just looked at it without understanding it. At least now, and contrary to other peoples, the french are fighting against financial jew power, which triggered the 2 world wars.

What have the GJ really accomplished up to now? They have really hurt the economy, we will see how badly soon enough. They have managed to get a few, minor tax increases delayed, perhaps cancelled. What else? They threatened a bank run which until now has no demonstrable effect.

Have they changed Media ownership? Have they had an impact on legislation of things like Free speech, right to demonstrate, right to bear arms?

Of course not. The real impact of GJ has been insignificant. Even less so than occupy wallstreet in which managed to help get some legislation throuugh, like Ron Paul’s fed “audit” that revealed $120Trillion in short term liquidity to banks and insurance companies around the planet. But in the end, not even an audit got through.

Lets assume that GJ manage to get Macron to resign, like Brexit got Cameron to resign. Well guess what, May is worse that Cameron and with high probability who ever replaces Macron will be too. The progression Sarkozy->Holland->Macron really sums it up.

So to have any effect on the current collapse and death trajectory, the GJ would at a minimum have to make significant changes at Federal and Local governance. Yet the GJ cannot even start to agree on what they want, how could the possibly select who is going to clean up the mess?

Oh, I get it, referendums. Well if you cannot control the media and the propaganda and the mind control, you will never be able to have referendums that represent the true will of the people. To get that kind of referendum, you first have to throw out much of the government. And once again, there is no leadership, no real cohesion, to accomplish this.

So lets suppose the GJ miraculously vote and form some kind of leadership. How many of them do you think will not already be spies, extortable, bribable or get eliminated? And then somehow this new party is going to agree enough to form effective leadership and overthrow the government; or win vast majorities in elections and thereby effect the kind of change required to save France? Wanna buy a bridge?

The only way is some mystic/medicine man leader with some kind of mystic link to the people so that they trust him/her and so that this mystic leader can somehow really know what is best for his people. The satanic judeo-lügen-media has to be completely eliminated from the equation.

I also say that the GJ need a mystic leader because then only the leader will be required to openly state the truth about the talmudic conspiracy and the invasion of unwelcome muslims and africans. If there is a council taking action against jewish interests, everyone of them will have to be strong enough to defend themselves against an onslaught of Jewish Power.

The mystic leader can become the lightning rod for JP attack. Of course he/she would need much support, but he could bear the brunt. The mystic leader must trust the people and have their trust too, then he would have the power to make the necessary hard decisions. She must die so that he can live. This group must be perish so that France can survive. Exactly what France is an important part of the mystic link between the leader and the peoples of this restored France.

As I have written before, I do not think this is likely to happen, but I hope that it does. So I am watching for the environment to become fertile for such a “savior” to arise.

I will also add that the US does not have much of a prospect for this kind of a mystic leader to arise. It is too fragmented, the talmudists shattered the ethnic communities when they sent the black share croppers north, precisely the same way they are sending Africa into Europe today.

France, and most of Europe, still has ethnic communities, especially in the country. These communities have roots with neighboring communities and could link to form a people, or at least a defensive group. But most importantly to my argument, they have a certain tribal DNA that will allow them the higher level of community trust required to allow them to place their lives in the hands of a mystic leader. Not coercion, not “social contract”, trust through DNA, the DNA of the people and the DNA of the community.

Dettinger close, but they are going to send him to prison, and it could be for years. This is the problem, no protester can say or do anything, or they will be locked up. So every single GJ has to religiously avoid admitting the truth lest they be punished by the kosher-race crime courts.

Perhaps if something nasty happens and Dettinger gets out of his anti-semite cage in weeks ofr months rather than years. It would have to be something really incriminating and damning for the jewish racial supremacists, but also something that didn’t end up killing or damaging Dettinger. Perhaps if jews/mossad got caught setting up or performing the horrible murder by a black gang of Dettinger’s beautiful white wife and children. Then have hundreds or thousands of smart phone film clips being released on the internet in a massive storm. Something so incredible that this Christophe Dettinger became innoculated against any charges of anti-semitim or racism. Then the entire remaining French population and GJ’s could transfer their sins of anti-semitism, holocaust denial and racism onto Dettinger.

At that point all the GJ would be able to say that they agree with “other policies” of Dettinger’s and then pretend to ignore whatever the kosher media had deemed to be racist or anti-semitic. Dettinger would bear this cross of racism, and the French people would see him crucified by the jews on thousands of smart phone clips on the internet for his racism.

The power of the meme is something that the yid swamp hasn’t figured out how to deal with, except by censorship. This meme on Sandmann and the CovingtonCatholics shows how powerful they are:

  68. The average French citizen makes $23k, and the per-capita income across many Southern states in the USA is even less, resting at $18,093 in tbe state of KY. That is $18,093 per year to cover all bills, including rent that consumes more than half of monthly pay, if you are single and childless and, thus, without a spousal income, rent-covering child support checks or monthly welfare that covers everything from rent to food, with monthly cash assistance and up to $6,431 in child tax credit money to boot.

That is what is provided, in increasing amounts per birth, to single-mom citizens and legal / illegal immigrants in single-breadwinner households, when they work part-time or in temp jobs, staying under the earned-income limits for the welfare programs during working months. This rigging of the labor market has resulted in 40 years of falling wages for most citizens, and whites—a group brought up with firm social pressure to be married, in self-supporting households, before reproducing—suffer the most under this corrupt system of government-paid sex and reproduction.

It is not just working-class people, not just rural people and not just “working families.” Most single, childless college grads are not in STEM or medical fields—two of the few fields of study rewarded by the marketplace. Because they lack streams of unearned income related to sex and reproduction to bolster inadequate pay from churn jobs and voted-best-for-moms temp and part-time jobs, most of the childless, single workers—in cities and otherwise, and whether or not they have a college degree—are in even worse economic situations than the single-breadwinner households with kids.

Irrational people are obsessed with increasing birthrates to save Social Security in an era when automation is decreasing the number of full-time jobs—an era when the few good jobs outside of specialized fields are concentrated under fewer roofs due to assortative mating, leaving everyone else to compete for mostly non-household-supporting jobs that pay less than enough to cover rent.

Most of the non-managerial service-industry office jobs are dominated by moms, able to work cheaply because of being propped up by spousal income or government money in the fake-feminist era of welfare and child tax credits. They want to increase the white birth rate, but this rigged, pay-per-birth system that is killing off middle-aged whites who cannot just pump out kids to supplement the wages from churn jobs is likewise not leading to family formation among the underemployed, young whites who were raised to be married, in a stable job, before creating more humans.

We can’t critique the working moms; they are above critique and above firing, no matter how much work they miss in the automation era, citing kids, but really because of machines that do more of their work, making their extreme, family-friendly absenteeism possible.

But nonetheless, the welfare-aided immigrant servants in the cities do not mostly facilitate single, childless, urban elites.

They convenience the dual-high-earner households of assortative-mate working parents who concentrate two of the few good-paying jobs under fewer roofs, halving the size of the college-educated middle class, while low-wage daycare workers, underpaid nannies, NannyCams and / or doting grandparents do the work of raising their kids for them.

This childrearing setup enables the top 20% of salaried, dual-earner parents to live a lifestyle reserved for the top eschelon of the business class—the employers who took risks—in past eras, eras when most married women raised their own kids, freeing up many household-supporting jobs for single, childless individuals with no spousal income, needing the dignity of rent-covering wages, and for young college grads, seeking to get a start in life, including family formation in some cases.

This is why there are more college-educated Yellow Jacket supporters in France and from afar than you think; most of us are paid too little to rent an apartment.

The only reason that many college-educated youthes, specifically the ones majoring in fields that will not have a job-market payout, can afford to be racial-justice warriors, rather than Yellow Jacket supporters, is because, at this point in life, their parents still cover their major household bills, just like government and / or ex spouses cover the major household bills of many so-called working moms.

But the violence is just horrible, ugh……I did not realize it was that extensive.

It is just so interesting to see how the beautiful French have retained their historical characteristics as a people, proving that historic nations do exist, staying intact through time. They look like a Delacroix painting, those French Yellow Jackets, deploying the perfect visual idea: a government-issued symbol of elite control, serving as the rallying icon of their movement. The French, of course, have ten-fold better backdrops than any other country can produce for a revolution.

But the real French Revolution did not have a satisfactory ending; they just got a different type of oppression after a bunch of over-the-top violence. Those creative 18th century French did help to spawn other, different types of movements for liberty, though, including providing funding for our own US revolution. Without the vanguard of the far-more-stylish French liberty lovers, the USA would not have its republic, which is now tarnished by bought-and-paid-for politicians who will not listen to Deplorables any more than the French politicians listen to the Yellow Jackets————-less, actually.

Or, rather, they will not do what we voted them in to do.

We American Deplorables stand unrepresented—represented less than illegal immigrants even—in a so-called “Representative Republic.” Lafayette would be turning over in his grave. That is why so many of us are impressed with the defiance of the Yellow Jackets, even if their demands are variegated and amorphous.

Their demands may be disorganized because of the size of the French basketful of Déplorables. It is not just the rural people, or the glorified “working families,” making a two-hour commute to get to a $10-per-hour churn job in Paris that won’t cover the dignity of rent. It is a broader group, the majority, the 80% who see very little future in the status quo. With any massive group, the organization task is harder. What do intellectually diverse Yellow Jackets, and their many sympathizers who would never get out in the streets, have in common? I say it’s the dead end of globalist-neoliberal economics for most citizens; it goes nowhere but around the same hopeless cul de sac.

Davos, Switzerland (AFP) – The world’s 26 richest people own the same wealth as the poorest half of humanity, Oxfam said Monday, urging governments to hike taxes on the wealthy to fight soaring inequality.”

While I do not believe in a ‘re distribution of wealth’…..it is clear to me that money must be drained off the top back into middle and lower working class world and yes even the poor….whether that’s in Africa, France or the US.
One way to do that would be to tax according to how the money was made. Triple trillions are made for instance by money movers, hedge funds, vulture capitalist, private investment banks every year…..they produce nothing, no real products, employ only a few people and 90% of their money services , business loan, etc are duplicated by banks. Even the debt buying of bankrupt countries like Greece can be done and has been done by large banks, who unlike the vulture capitalist don’t sell of all the country’s resources for a quick profit and are long term loans that don’t impoverish the people and throw the country into chaos.

That would be my first move…..taxing the money movers at a minimum of 65%. My second move would be to tax companies with more than 500 or x number of employees based on the wages they pay employees. Companies paying above minimum get a corresponding break even on it tax break .
Small business owners would not be subject to the same tax rate as larger but would also get a small tax break for hiring new workers.

Whatever plan is formulated it better be done somehow cause human nature says people wont stand this inequality forever and they will burn the world down.

  72. I regognise the same strategy from the EUSSR side towards common people in the EU member states, in the following conflicts:
    – the Dutch trade unions are to blame for steadiy lower Dutch pensions
    – GB is the blame for unemployment and chaos after a Brexit without a deal
    – The Yellow Vestst are responsible for that Macron cannot modernise France: thus poverty and unemployment
    – populists block immigration, they cause racism, war, nationalism, third world poverty.

Of course the EUSSR strategy does not say that the EUSSR is the father of all evil: the EUSSR wants to lower all pensions paid in all EU member states towards the same miserable low level, GB may leve if at the same time it does not leave, especially unrestricted immigration must remain, the Yellow Vests must accept job insecurity (with poverty and job insecurity), any European culture must be willing to detroy itself..

There thus is a race against time: will the masses in the EU member states see what’s going on before it is too late ?
