Tucker had it coming. That seems to be the consensus among mainstream journalists after Tucker Carlson’s wife and family were threatened by an Antifa mob. Among those sympathizing with Antifa:

  • Matthew Yglesias [Email him] of, who scolded readers who “empathize with the fear of the Carlson family rather than with the fear of his victims” that “you should take a moment to reflect on why that is.”
  • Adam Peck [email him] of Think Progress sneered that it’s a “real shame racists can’t spread their bile in peace anymore.”
  • Brooke Binkowski of Truth or Fiction and Julie Gerstein of Insider, both of whom mocked CNN’s Brian Stelter for condemning Antifa. [Antifa Targets Tucker Carlson, by Ashley Rae Goldenberg, Capital Research Center, November 8, 2018]

Nor is Tucker Carlson’s ordeal over. He is now facing possible criminal charges after one Juan Manuel Granados allegedly insulted his daughter and a confrontation ensued. Granados is another of those immigrants to this country, like Jose Antonio Vargas, who makes his living complaining about racism and discrimination. [Video shows Tucker Carlson cursing during a bar scuffle. He says he was defending his daughter, by Avi Selk, Washington Post, November 11, 2018] Granados is being defended by none other than lawyer Michael Avenatti, who spread rumors about Brett Kavanaugh that were so outrageous that Democrats even blame him for Kavanaugh’s ultimate confirmation to the Supreme Court. [Some Democrats are blaming Michael Avenatti for muddying the waters on sexual misconduct allegations against Brett Kavanaugh, by Kevin Breuninger, CNBC, October 8, 2018]

Unless you were there, no one can say with certainty what happened. However, given Avenatti’s record and Granados’s history of grievance-mongering, I believe Tucker Carlson is telling the truth. The Antifa ethos of completely destroying opponents by any means necessary has taken over the American Left, and this includes having a complete indifference to facts. Even when caught on video, the hard Left will deny having committed violent acts or saying certain things, and they are so zealous and deluded they may even believe what they are saying.

And of course, the Righteous Right will attack anyone who suggests fighting back. [Weekly Standard DaintyCon Rushes to Protect Guy Who Called Tucker Carlson’s Daughter a “Whore”, November 12, 2018]

Similarly, and perhaps even more significantly, Kat Timpf, a Fox News personality and contributor to National Review, was allegedly run out of an establishment by a Leftist mob over the weekend. [Fox News’s Kat Timpf: I was ‘chewed out, abused’ at establishment over where I work, by Joe Concha, The Hill, November 12, 2018]

Significantly, while Kat Timpf deserves support, she still has a job, is unlikely to have her website domain stolen, and likely has no problem getting a bank account. She’s not dealing with very much at all compared to what the Dissident Right puts up with.

But what did Timpf think was going to happen? She has built a career around poking mild fun at Political Correctness. [Give to NR so Kat can mock the Left’s lunacy, by Katherine Timpf, National Review, October 10, 2018] However, she saves her real venom for anyone who wants to actually combat the Left or analyze it in more depth than just calling it “crazy.”

Timpf, like almost every other Conservatism Inc. talking head, was furious at President Trump for Noticing the Leftists’ role in organizing violence at the ill-fated “Unite The Right” demonstration in Charlottesville in 2017 and for not automatically labeling patriot protesters “Nazis”. She duly received a pat on the head from the MSM for echoing the Main Stream Media Narrative. [Fox News Host Kat Timpf Absolutely Goes Off on “Disgusting” Trump Presser, by Andrew Kirll, Daily Beast, August 15, 2017]

Now, Timpf wants sympathy and the freedom to be allowed to keep insulting “snowflakes.” But why should Leftists care what she thinks? After all, progressives might ask, why is mocking the “emotional distress” of students something that should be rewarded? [Public university could expel students for causing others ‘emotional distress,’ by Katherine Timpf, National Review, November 8, 2018] And why are her feelings sacred but those of her targets not?

Remember, National Review was happy enough to fire John Derbyshire when enough Leftists complained.

Conservatism Inc. conceded the premises of the Left a long time ago. But it still somehow thinks it will be able to make a separate peace with Cultural Marxist Totalitarianism.

For example, Kevin Williamson condemned the attack on Tucker Carlson’s home and notes, quite rightly, that the Left’s defenses of violence against supposed “Nazism” are simply wrong:

Calling yourself an “Antifascist” while defining “fascism” as “the enforcement of ordinary immigration laws” or “thinking that Bernie Sanders is a grumpy muppet who should be kept far from the levers of power” is entirely childish and deeply stupid.

[The Lonely Mob, by Kevin Williamson, National Review, November 11, 2018]

Yet this is dangerous ground, because it implicitly suggests that violence would indeed be defensible if you could somehow show that these targets are Nazis.

The Leftist theory of the “fascist creep” allows progressives to constantly identify new institutions, arguments, or individuals that it can claim will lead to fascism. [Exposing and defeating the fascist creep, by Javier Sethness, Truthout, April 7, 2017] The Left has every incentive to get to label more and more people either fascists or “gateways” to fascism, thus enabling censorship, deplatforming, or violence against more and more targets.

Indeed, Kevin Williamson himself is now back writing at National Review precisely because he was defenestrated from The Atlantic the same way National Review has purged its own writers over the years.

Denying you are “fascist” or “racist” doesn’t make much of a difference in how you are treated. For example, Editor Peter Brimelow’s patient clarifications that is not a “white nationalist site” don’t seem to make a difference to anyone in the MSM, nor, for that matter, to anyone in the Beltway Right.

Indeed, what are National Review and the Weekly Standard doing right now? They are trying to purge Congressman Steve King for too energetically opposing mass immigration and for supporting heroic activist Faith Goldy in her run for mayor of Toronto:

Conservatism Inc. also cheered on the prosecution of Gavin McInnnes’ Proud Boys for the crime of defending themselves against Antifa.

But the rise of overt anti-white sentiment within the Democratic Party, and the electoral triumph of socialism through the weapon of mass immigration, is of no concern to Conservatism Inc. Instead, its hacks are still focused on tone-policing the American Right, even though these hacks will ultimately be consumed themselves.

If the Left takes down Tucker Carlson and is even targeting the likes of Kat Timpf, why shouldn’t Cultural Marxists go after the likes of Erick Erickson, David French, or Ben Shapiro, despite all their triangulating?

As the Founding Fathers knew, your rights are only what you can defend. Whatever the First Amendment says, Americans now no longer really possess the right of free speech. Patriots are at risk of physical attack for speaking their mind while Antifa enjoy immunity even under a supposedly conservative administration.

Conservatism Inc. faces a choice. Will it defend free speech and freedom of assembly for all—even if it means making common cause with much-abused pioneers like Or will it keep hoping the Antifa crocodile will eat them last?

Only a fool believes this will stop with Tucker Carlson or even Kat Timpf.

The real battle for “freedom” isn’t being fought in the Middle East, it’s being fought right here at home—and right now, Americans patriots are losing.

  1. Well done. James Kirkpatrick is thinking correctly. This segment is compelling:

“As the Founding Fathers knew, your rights are only what you can defend.

Looking forward, and certainly many variables can impact the future, “dystopian” comes to mind. The Holy Bible speaks of the dark future, and that shall come to pass, but along the way, we at my table are determined to fight for the fundamental truths that breathe life into our Constitution. Someone, somewhere has to be willing to engage the enemy, to know the enemy, to know why they are the enemy and be willing to get dirty hands in combat with that enemy. Waiting for “something” only gives more license to the Left. They must smack their pallid faces against the granite of righteousness. If there is no righteousness, then let antifa have the world.

Calling someone’s daughter a whore to her face in public is what’s known in rural areas as “fighting words” i.e. an open invitation to violence and mitigating circumstance on the odd chance it gets to the courts. Cucker Carlson could have sized the guy up as a drunk beaner fag, crowded the fool inviting first contact, and busted him up. But Cucker is soft so he wimped out. Maybe Cucker should spend more time at a marshal arts studio practicing his basic throws and takedowns…….and less time in the makeup room.

Precisely as Charles Beard and other “isolationists” said would happen: We will lose our freedoms at home fighting useless wars abroad.

Always keep in mind that William F. Buckley’s first “enemies” to be frog-marched out of the American Right were the World War II Non-Interventionists, AKA isolationists.

The whole of Bill Buckley’s career might very well be described as “making the world safe for neocons” because that was the only major effect it actually had. Calling it “conservative inc.” is fine except the term implies those shills actually have real customers.

  6. The Second Amendment is not about hunting. It is not about self-defense because all citizens at the time knew they had that right. The Second Amendment is about Protecting your Right to the First. These idiots are going to run into the wrong person in the wrong place and something is going to happen that will start a civil war in this country and it’s just around the corner. When Maxine Waters started to get heat it wasn’t alright.

The Right needs to go after the Communistos on the Left in the same way and see what happens. Of course, CNN and MSNBC will then say that the Right Wing Nuts threatened violence. This game plan has been used by the brown shirts, the Jewish Bolsheviks, and other terrorist groups throughout history. This of course is similar to Saul Alinsky’s works on how a handful of radicals can take over a majority in a country.

The anti-white attack is driven by more than Democrats; it is a constant 24 hour theme of people who own the media, the search engines, the economic pathways and control just about everything that matters in this country and elsewhere…….The Magic Jews.

  7. The reason why free speech is crumbling is because it was never very effective in the first place.

Give people the right to speak and protest, but then neither hear nor listen to them, as a system, and you give them the power to scream into an abyss. One day they wise up and put down their words, forced empty by a de facto impotent and illusory First Amendment, and pick up some clubs and molotovs.

The people are Sovereign, as a group, and their only truly – logically – inalienable right, is the right to rebel. As Mao called it, revolutionary democracy. It is democratic because the people can directly tear down the legal structure that was deaf to them.

And until semi-direct democracy, where the people can affect laws evolutionarily – through word rather than act – we will continue to tumble along in our evolutionary autocracy, somehow believing our speech will cause action in and of itself. Outside of chaotic anarchy, only semi-direct democracy binds the paths of the citizenry and their representatives into a viable whole.

To expect civility of the powerless yet opinionated, in any respect, is to live in a delusion.

  8. It is an irony that really can’t be pointed out enough that it is antifa itself which is employing fascist tactics: censorship, de-platforming & violence.
Can they not see that this is all a far more dangerous version of McCarthyism ? More dangerous because it has no inherent limits & no legal structure or limits.
Incidentally – THE weasel-word of the century ? “Inappropriate” (touching). It covers a world of “sins” without ever having to define them. “Inappropriate” now justifies sacking, career ruin & social ostracism. (In Aust’ a sacked CEO is accusing (one of) the men who sacked her of inappropriate touching: what did he do ? Put his hand on her back at a public dinner. Her back ! In public ! It was, she says, “yicky”. Imagine how yicky some woman in Yemen feels as her kids slowly expire from starvation & cholera…but, thank god, there was no inappropriate touching….unless 2000 pound bombs count ?)

What stands in the way of the Democrats’ plan: the Historic American Nation. Attacking historic symbols, flags, and even the existing population of entire states are all part of a larger effort to flat-out dispossess Americans of their country and replace them with a more servile dependent population. The result will be a never-ending war against every symbol of European-American history or American accomplishment.

    Servile to whom, I wonder.
Chinese, Russians, N American Indians, Muslims ?
Now suppose it succeeds, servile to leaders of the Democratic party.
How long will it take before the USA has become a third rate country, intellectually, economically, militarily ?
One cannot have it both ways, servile and enterprising.

But apparently Mister tough guy Trump is happy to let Antifa and their like break the law as long as he is free to tweet about it.

When the left sins with impunity, they are encouraged to enlarge the scope and pace of their operations. The apparent indifference of the legal system is becoming a HUGE problem.

So, the Dutch Communist they found inside the Reichstag didn’t really do it, and the Reichstag, in which the NSDAP was a minority, had no part in the Enabling Act?

Germans were scared shitless of a Communist takeover. They had already witnessed an attempt around the time of the Armistice in 1918. The SDP, who were the 2nd largest part in the Reichstag could easily have prevented passage of the Enabling Act. Instead, they used it as an excuse to prostitute themselves to the Allies post WWII.

The political dialogue is just a distraction, full of wedge issues that have little impact on the real centers of power. Political candidates are selected or screened in advance.

  35. Rogue says:

The modern use of the term “fascist” is highly pejorative.

Does the modern Left really understand what it means by dictionary definition? I mean, I’m not sure I do myself, and can’t be fussed to read the long-winded Wikipedia entry on it.

Leftists seem to use the term to mean that it is something like how the Nazis conducted themselves in the 20’s and 30’s – or maybe how the US government attacked anti-war protesters in the 60’s.

In any event, from my point of view, the word “fascist”, in it’s modern throw-around sense, seems to mean: the authoritarian stifling of dissent, curtailing of free speech and expression (anti-war, anti-capitalist rallies etc.), political bullies and racism (with the latter being very widely open to conveniently stretchy interpretation).

    Quoting Wikipedia lite:

There is more than one reason why people living in democratic states oppose fascism, but the main reason is that in a fascist dictatorship the individual citizen has no guaranteed rights. If you say the wrong thing or oppose the wrong person, you can be arrested or killed without a fair trial.

Based on that interpretation, an Antifa controlled or dominated state would qualify as fascist in my book.

Of course, Antifa are nothing but a bunch of hypocritical, stridently self-righteous, cowardly thugs. Do they ever try to take on the focus of their deranged hate in anything like equal strength?

Since their ultimate loyalty is to melanin, n their ultimate evil the lack of melanin, all other values to the New Identitarian Left are meaningless, including freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, the entire Bill of Rights, free n fair elections, the Constitution, the jury system, evidence, in short the bedrock of Western Civilization. Wm. F. Buckley was initially a bold and inspiring paleo-conservative. Really. He deserves some credit. I saw almost all of his excellent tv interviews on Firing Line beginning in the early 70s. He was something of a lone voice on TV back then.

Though he was never allowed to have Pat Buchanan on his program (as far as I know) Buckley did interview Joe Sobran and many other paleoconservatives. Buckley was on PBS but he was pretty much disliked by the entire PBS establishment which was very Left wing and censorious (just like today).

Buckley did a lot of good. He blew the whistle about the perils of illegal immigration back in the 70s and 80s. And he didn’t let up. I saw Buckley join forces with Peter Brimelow in a memorable and extended Firing Line debate decades ago about illegal immigration. The Pro-immigration side was full of Jewish liberals. Buckley fought back. Buckley loved Reagan and, like Reagan, was a cold warrior.

Towards the end of his life, Buckley was surrounded by neocon Zionists, kosher TV executives and Jewish financiers. His show, Firing Line, relied on Jewish money (including Walter Annenberg’s). Buckley was therefore somewhat trapped. Like Tucker Carlson, he was careful never to cross any red line drawn by the Jewish establishment; though he did at one time approach some of these red lines. Buckley was often bold in discussing the Israel/Palestine conflict. He had Arab/pro-Palestinian guests on Firing Line.

In addition to Joe Sobran, Buckley’s National Review had the brilliant and irreverent John Simon as its film critic. I truly savored Nation Review back then. This era was long before the internet even existed. Today’s intellectual climate is far more open because the Jews have still not figured out how to control the internet (unlike print and TV media in the 20th century). But they’re definitely working on controlling the internet right now. Jews are working tirelessly and fanatically to control and limit speech. It’s their war on so-called ‘hate speech’.

As an old man, Buckley surrendered his small conservative media conglomerate to the neocons. His record was, at worst, mixed. But I saw him go after countless Leftist icons. He had a brilliant mind and a lot of class. Buckley was a proud and defiant Catholic. Not such a bad thing.

I live in Texas, which was once a land owned by Mexico.

Although non-hispanic whites still are the most populous here, Hispanics have always prominently figured in our population statistics with blacks, generally speaking, only about 13%.

Although non-white citizens’ population growth exceeds that of whites and although the non-which citizens population is increasing in greater proportion to the comparatively older white population…we don’t see the same strife or recognize the same level of diversity determines destiny as the author suggests.

When I was a child, every grade school student spent at least one hour a day in a Spanish class. And, schools here and the public celebrate Cinco de Mayo vigorously regardless of race or ethnicity.

The annual livestock shows and the coincidental trail riders who come to Houston every year bears Hispanic, White and Black riders and their families in approximate proportion to their representation in the population…and everyone gets along.

When I recently visited West Texas near the border the comity between whites and Hispanics was admirable…because they all went to high school together, it seems.

I have an inter-racial marriage and mixed children (I’m central Texas German, white). And, the most magnificently beautiful children on my street are Hispanic, and, they mostly belong to parents are consummate professionals in their occupations. All are good neighbors.

Lastly, I don’t see much change in my now almost 67 years in the nature of the Texans as the above described population changes continue. So, this fear of non-white takeover of our state and our institutions and destiny just isn’t like that which the author describes. I guess we figured out to get along long ago.

No, you are still a red state. When I was a kid we had far less race related(political not actual) strife than we do now. We didn’t have affirmative action and nobody was pushing for quotas for unqualified students to the UC. Nobody was constantly demanding a new program to counter poverty in the … community. This all changed with the huge influx of immigrants. Texas has never had the huge income disparities that California traditionally has. We have always been a relatively high tax state so there is a bigger effort to grab as much of the pie as you can within a racial spoils system.

Nobody in California is calling for a race war or anything close it is just as we go forward we see even more attempts for people to grab for themselves through the ballot box what they cannot get for themselves through their own work.

Excellent comment, niteranger, especially about the 2nd being needed to protect your right to the 1st. But the Nationalist Right needs a strong, very brave leader. And that leader is not spelled Trump.

  54. MarkinLA says:

One last point. Texas now has a form of affirmative action in college admissions, do they not? I believe anybody who is in the top 10% of his high school class is eligible for UT. The likelihood of getting somebody really capable of attending and staying at a flagship campus at a state university is very low at some high schools.

This is the creeping leftism that is slowly overtaking even Texas. As more and more of these policies are instituted to placate minorities and more and more minorities come, expect to see things get more contentious.

Tucker goes as far at FOX as his bosses will allow. He was suspended at least one time before for going too far in bashing US Neocon foreign policy. Television had at least some intellectual heft when I was growing up in the ’60’s. I used to watch “Firing Line” all the time and fondly remember Buckley’s contentious debates with Gore Vidal when they were covering the convention (’68, I think). I agree that Buckley was no Neocon.

Even Johnny Carson would venture into some serious debates from time to time. And I fondly remember Dick Cavett and Tom Snyder. Now late nite TV is nothing but constant Trump bashing by halfwit, sick-making comedians. TV is now worse than useless mind rot, with Tucker Carlson’s show being the only one I still watch.

Can we be frank here – or is the fear of total UnPersoning, where the state only throws you in jail but leaves the rest of the Chinese water torture to the Left (and who better to strip one of their very identity than the identity politicians?), so all-consuming that we dare not speak freely on certain matters without the use of flash cards and Guy Fawkes masks?

What Fitzpatrick and other patriots are trying not to say (but are hoping for someone else to do so) is we need to use lethal violence against the Far Left if we hope to survive as a nation. Shit, we will ship troops halfway across the world to murder Arabs/Muslims/whoever Israel points out for us for “crimes” that have nothing to do with North America, nor do they pose any type of threat to us; but the radical anarchists and totalitarians who do as they please, who openly boast that they despise America/democracy/capitalism/the nuclear family/(and, of course) Christianity, who thoroughly subvert and render moot the Constitution via a climate of fear – a tactic that works like a charm when we all know ahead of time will go unpunished mostly because of their deep-pocketed family connections – them, we shutter the windows and triple-deadbolt the door against. For God’s sake, keep smiling – or they’ll wish us into the cornfield!

It is my opinion that the longer we shirk our responsibility to defend our Republic with necessary violence, the higher the body count will skyrocket once the snowball is flying downhill at a terrifying rate of speed and force…and the choice is out of our hands altogether.

If you don’t like socialism, the best idea is to fake it like you already got it, so nobody will be tempted to overthrow the “democratic” government and bring in the hated socialism.

That’s what Nazi Germany did. The Nazis hated communism more than anyone else – they even used that as an excuse to invade Russia, yet they called themselves National –“Socialists”. Why? Well, you see, in the minds of those retards – the Nazis – socialism was a milder form of communism and the idea was that there is no need for a full blown communist revolution in Germany since they already got “socialism” – which is almost as good as communism – minus the bloody revolutions and all that.

Same thing with the “left” in US – multiculturalism is the fake socialism, and since you already got “socialism” there is no need to go any further. Ripped that idea right out of the Nazi’s script on how to avoid socialism – pretend that it’s already here. Clever, clever.

I would still give the Nazis a better mark than to “leftists”, liberals, democrats, whatever you want to call them in US. Why? Because the Nazis were benevolent to the native German population and hostile to everyone else. The “left” in US is the opposite. Hostile to the native population and “benevolent” to everyone else.

Those aren’t the musings of a white nationalist or even a paleoconservative. But like most liberals, even sincere ones like Tucker, it’s no coincidence that the neighborhoods they choose to live in invariably have a common race, culture and religion (white European).

Why did the U.S. side with the Soviet Union over Germany in WW2?

Why did they side with the Communists in China over the Nationalists?

Communists were the enemy and had to be treated as such. Hollywood and the media were (and still are) full of treasonous Hebrew vipers who wanted to enslave and destroy America and unite with their brethren who’d done the same to Russia and Eastern Europe.

McCarthyism was the logical and necessary response to millions of Jews in New York and Hollywood doing everything they could to shit on the country that had just bailed them out of the just deserts that were coming to them in Europe.

    Disagree about the energy thing.

There is a great deal of seething anger among many of the people who comprise the historic American nation.

They are sick of what the left has done to the United States and continue to do to the United States. They know the government is hopelessly corrupt and that our individual freedoms are under assault.

The seeming passivity of the American people is not due to indifference. They simply at this point do not know what to do to change things.

Imagine if Trump had been the kind of leader many of us hoped he could have been. We would have had people marching on Washington in support of him by the millions. Instead he did nothing about building the wall and continued the wars on behalf of the Zionists. His failures as a person and as a leader have dampened the enthusiasm of the historic American nation. But the anger is still there, and it could easily be unleashed for productive purposes given the right circumstances.

The historic American nation may be slumbering, but it is not dead by a longshot.

It is very much an open question as to how this drama will play out. But nationalism is on the rise, and this has to continue for there to be any hope for our civilization.

The left are murderous fanatics, and they will not stop until their control is total and we are all enslaved. They have done it before, and given the chance, they will do it again. It is who they are.

There can be no peace with these totalitarians.

Francis was way too inconvenient, more like. He used the word “court historians” the same way the old isolationists used it. And Sam used it often.

He was as marginal after its publication as he had been ubiquitious before. No more MSM, no attention, without which a man in public life simply stops having one. He is left with his little niche.

The non-interventionists were Enemy One, and internally there were no other enemies. The Right of the 21st Century was created with intervention in mind, and the Pratt House in NYC (home of the Council on Foreign Affairs — membership including Skull & Bonesman WFB) knew that Colonel McCormack’s newspapers, radiating out of Chicago, nearly squashed FDRs smooth ride to war in the Forties. In the middle ages, church property was being willed to the descendants of married priests and bishops, rather than remaining in Catholic Church hands. Celibacy was imposed to take the priests’ and bishops’ families out of the equation.
There is nothing “Protestant” about allowing Roman Catholic priests to marry. In fact, other Catholic sects (Greek Orthodox and Maronite) allow for married priests. Married Episcopal clergy who convert to Catholicism are allowed to function as priests.
The Vatican II Ecumenical Council should have resulted in the call to abolish celibacy. Instead, it was a subversive vehicle to impose Protestant and Jewish principles on the Catholic Church.
