There has to be a word which describes phrases which please the ear and are uttered in an air of reverence, implying that they contain some timeless wisdom. Upon examination, however, the phrase is either false or meaningless. Certainly Charles Krauthammer is not the first person to use this rhetorical technique. Here’s a brief listing:

These phrases are very fun and easy to play with. When I was a graduate student, I was a Teaching Assistant for Professor Irving Katz‘s American History after the Civil War class. We assistants were meeting with Professor Katz to discuss grading the students’ exams. I joked, “We can forgive the students for writing poor exams, but we can’t forgive them for forcing us to give them bad grades.” He, may God have mercy on him, was the only one who got the joke.

People all over twitter today have been awed by Charles Krauthammer’s column “Moral clarity in Gaza.” It quotes Israeli Prime Minister and war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu saying “We’re using missile defense to protect our civilians and they’re using their civilians to protect their missiles.”

It might take volumes to refute all the misleading comments in Krauthammer’s columns, so bear with me.

Israel accepts an Egyptian-proposed Gaza cease-fire; Hamas keeps firing.

Hamas has proposed terms for a cease-fire, but Israel has rejected them.

Hamas deliberately aims rockets at civilians; Israel painstakingly tries to avoid them …

Whatever Israel’s motives may be, most Palestinians killed in Gaza have been civilians. This is no surprise, since Israel targets the homes and cars of Palestinian “militants” and kills anybody who happens to be nearby. Of course, Israel considers anybody who cooperates or works for the government in Gaza to be a militant, so this includes police officers (oops, missed the police chief but killed 18 of his relatives), doctors, academics and journalists (2012).

Note that the missiles Israel launches often destroy neighboring structures as well, like the home of artist Raed Issa. I’m not sure how Israel justifies targeting hospitals.

Bear in mind, all this is only 5 sentences into Krauthammer’s column. He continues:

Everyone knows Hamas set off this mini-war.

The main problem with this assertion is that, while most people in the United States only pay attention to Palestinians when they attack Israelis with missiles, Israeli squatters in the West Bank and Israeli army and police are confiscating, vandalizing and destroying Palestinians’ property and jailing/kidnapping, injuring and killing Palestinians all the time. So where does the cycle begin?

And everyone knows the proudly self-declared raison d’etre of Hamas: the eradication of Israel and its Jews.

Let’s assume for the moment that Hamas wants to eradicate all the Jews from Palestine. Is that justification for murdering members of Hamas? I wonder how Hamas’s proposal for a 10-year truce and acceptance of terms for the unity government further its goals to eradicate all Jews from Palestine. More importantly, besides the standard Zionist view that non-Jews are a threat that must be controlled (the demographic timebomb), there are political parties in Israel, some of which are part of the ruling coalition, who believe all non-Jews should be transferred from Israel. And Prime Minister Netanyahu himself rejects the idea of a sovereign Palestinian state in the West Bank. The idea that Palestinians should accept a Jewish state is akin to blacks, Latinos, Asians, Native Americans and other non-whites accepting the United States as a white state.

Apologists for Hamas attribute the blood lust to the Israeli occupation and blockade. Occupation? Does no one remember anything? It was less than 10 years ago that worldwide television showed the Israeli army pulling die-hard settlers off synagogue roofs in Gaza as Israel uprooted its settlements, expelled its citizens, withdrew its military and turned every inch of Gaza over to the Palestinians. There was not a soldier, not a settler, not a single Israeli left in Gaza.

While Israel and Egypt, which obeys Israeli and U.S. demands regarding Gaza, control the flow of people and goods in and out, whether by land, sea or air, there is no way to say that the occupation of Gaza has ended. Furthermore, this analysis completely ignores that Palestinians, correctly, aspire to national unity, and Israel continues to occupy the West Bank and implement Jewish supremacist policies in Israel, including occupied Jerusalem. So, to project nativist Red Dawn, Fortress America-like fantasies onto the United States, if the East Asian cooperative occupied the West Coast and then withdrew from Washington state, Americans in Washington state would have to accept the occupation of Oregon and California.

And there was no blockade. On the contrary. Israel wanted this new Palestinian state to succeed. To help the Gaza economy, Israel gave the Palestinians its 3,000 greenhouses that had produced fruit and flowers for export. It opened border crossings and encouraged commerce.

As I mentioned above, there was no new Palestinian state. Israel withdrew from Gaza’s land territory because Palestinian resistance had made protecting Jewish squatter colonies there too costly, and those settlements’ only purpose was the ideological claim to all of historic Palestine for Jewish domination. Note that it continued to control the sea, exploiting its marine resources and natural gas. And, Jewish supremacist settlement of more and more land in Jerusalem and the West Bank accelerated. Restrictions on Gazans’ movement have been in place since 1967. Note that few rounds of negotiations took place. No transition plans. No authority had been set up to administer the Gaza strip. And the term Prime Minister and war criminal Ariel Sharon used was “disengagement.” [Here is information about his war crimes.]

The whole idea was to establish the model for two states living peacefully and productively side by side. No one seems to remember that, simultaneous with the Gaza withdrawal, Israel dismantled four smaller settlements in the northern West Bank as a clear signal of Israel’s desire to leave the West Bank as well and thus achieve an amicable two-state solution.

Au contraire, Monsieur Krauthammer. Israel never intended to withdraw from its Jewish supremacist colonies, known by the euphemism “settlements,” in the West Bank:

In other developments Tuesday [September 2005], Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz toured two West Bank settlements, Karnei Shomron and Beit Arieh, and said Israel must develop the main blocs there after its Gaza pullout. “We have to make every effort to direct resources to strengthen the settlement blocs,” Mofaz said, according to his ministry. “We must do everything possible to strengthen the residents’ feeling of security.” Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has said one reason for the Gaza pullout was to strengthen Israel’s grip on its main settlement blocs in the West Bank, where 246,000 settlers live. Palestinians demand a complete Israeli pullout from the West Bank after its withdrawal from Gaza. (emphasis added)

Krauthammer continues:

And how did the Gaza Palestinians react to being granted by the Israelis what no previous ruler, neither Egyptian, nor British, nor Turkish, had ever given them — an independent territory? First, they demolished the greenhouses. Then they elected Hamas. Then, instead of building a state with its attendant political and economic institutions, they spent the better part of a decade turning Gaza into a massive military base, brimming with terror weapons, to make ceaseless war on Israel.

This Gaza greenhouse myth is oft-repeated propaganda. Even the article to which Krauthammer links confirms that “roughly 30 percent of the greenhouses suffered various degrees of damage.” But more importantly, no matter what Gazans produce for export, it can’t work because Israel’s blockade prevents them from exporting. In addition, the Israelis targeted and destroyed industrial facilities like the el-Bader flour mill, the Sawfeary chicken farms, water and sewage installations and housing (paragraphs 913-1031 of the Goldstone report on Israel’s attack on Gaza in 2008-9). Where is the “massive military base, brimming with terror weapons” Krauthammer mentions? Are there tanks and artillery? How about air strips? How about naval vessels?

Where are the roads and rail, the industry and infrastructure of the new Palestinian state? Nowhere. Instead, they built mile upon mile of underground tunnels to hide their weapons and, when the going gets tough, their military commanders. They spent millions importing and producing rockets, launchers, mortars, small arms, even drones.

The tunnels are a response to the Israeli-Egyptian siege, and traffic through them helped sustain what remained of the Palestinian economy in Gaza.

They deliberately placed [the weapons] in schools, hospitals, mosques and private homes to better expose their own civilians. (Just Thursday, the U.N. announced that it found 20 rockets in a Gaza school.) And from which they fire rockets at Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

Why did they not put them in the “massive military base?” Krauthammer makes these allegations without any evidence. The UN did find 20 rockets in an abandoned school, but this isolated incident does not justify Israel’s targeting of these civilian institutions. The rest of the column asserts that Hamas’s plan is for Israel to kill Palestinian civilians to gain the world’s sympathy. Hamas “perversely urges its own people not to seek safety when Israel drops leaflets warning of an imminent attack.” Perhaps Krauthammer should design an evacuation plan when Palestinians have nowhere to go.

Well, if that’s the case, Israel has sure helped the plan succeed. It’s only in the countries of the European Union and the United States and Canada that Israel is a bulwark against terrorism, or whatever justification some give to support the state. And even in these countries, more and more citizens are asking questions.

I’m not sure why a segment of United States residents reflexively believe Israeli Jews are all good and Palestinians are all bad. Some of it must be the shared heritage, for white Americans, of ethnic cleansing and settlement. Some of it is a twisted interpretation of Christianity which turns God into a real estate agent. Some of it is an antipathy to Muslims stemming from the terrorist attacks of 2001 and the destructive wars and occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some of it is the fact the United States commits many of the same war crimes, and people would rather justify them than prosecute the war criminals.

I don’t call on American supporters of Zionism to turn 180 degrees and support Palestinians. I simply ask on them to call their legislators and tell them to stop sending $3.1 billion to Israel in aid each year and to cease the numerous other ways the United States supports Israeli aggression.

Krauthammer! Mr. Sits Aloof To Pronounce Judgement will Israel first every time. Krauthammer is feckless. Pseudo-intellectual peacock and warmongering son-of-a-bitch. Israel kills Palestinians under full protection and support of the US while Hamas launches bottle rockets out of sheer desperation. Hey Krauthammer? That’s “intellectually” called disproportional collective punishment and I’m almost certain that’s a war crime. Of course and it is a given that the Krauthammer is enamored with war crimes and disproportional collective punishment. Hey Krauty? That Iraq Bushco genocide turned out famously, wouldn’t you agree?

  2. If you truly want Americans to do something you need to reconsider writing things like this.

“I’m not sure why a segment of United States residents reflexively believe Israeli Jews are all good and Palestinians are all bad. Some of it must be the shared heritage, for white Americans, of ethnic cleansing and settlement. Some of it is a twisted interpretation of Christianity which turns God into a real estate agent.”

Attacking the intelligence, the history and the religion of Americans won’t get you very far.

First, as you very well know, Americans favor Israel is because Jewish influence in all forms of media here.

Second. My ancestors settled this country, a country that you seem to live in. We didn’t exterminate the Indians. There are probably more American Indians now alive than when Columbus landed. If our handling of the Indians taints us in your mind, then bugger off and ask someone else for help.

Third, Christianity, unlike Judaism and Islam makes no territorial claims. Even the crusades were about access to holy sites more than land acquisition. It’s Jews and Muslims who are shedding blood over who gets to own The Dome of The Rock, The Wailing Wall, etc.

There are millions of conservative Christian Americans who detest what the Israelis do to the Palestinian Arabs. But you are a poor spokeswoman for the Palestinian cause.

  3. @Thomas O. Meehan

Your rebuttal, Mr. Meehan, lacks both civility as well as persuasiveness. In fact, Mr. Fadel’s critique of Krauthammer’s latest whitewash scores a lot of points.

I think we can probably all agree that Israeli propaganda in US media distorts the way a certain class of Americans think about this subject. But that class is huge. And that fact by itself is an outrage.

We Americans don’t even produce news from our own perspective. Who owns/controls US news media? Most American news is processed through an Israeli filter. This enormous fabrication has real consequences.

So why do you find it necessary to speak with such contempt to a concerned American over this urgent matter? In fact, it is an alliance of Christians and Jews who are right now engaging in continuous warfare against the non-Jewish inhabitants of Israel/Palestine. Mr. Fadel’s analysis comes at a time when scores of innocent Palestinians are being slaughtered. And our government is playing a vital role in this barbarism. And the bulk of ‘Christian America’ is cheering Israel on. And it is the Jews–not the Muslims–who are using religion as a vehicle to establish claims to real estate in ‘greater Israel’.

Incredibly, the US Senate just passed a resolution expressing complete solidarity with Israel during this ‘war’ (slaughter) and is sending emergency aid to Israel. The Senate vote was unanimous. Unanimous. A similar resolution in the House was also unanimous. Not one Senator–from Bernie Sanders to Rand Paul–broke ranks and dared to criticize Israel. This was also the story in the House. This is a very ominous sign. Who owns our government?

Our two political Parties disagree about virtually everything except Israel. Why? Is there no moral complexity here? But of course there is. So why the artificial unanimity?

There was not one plea for neutrality by any US Senator or any US Congressperson. Not one.

There was no mention of Israel’s 47-year-long occupation of Palestine. Not one.

There was nothing but a unanimous, one-sided resolution by all of our ‘elected leaders’ endorsing Israel’s latest strategy of ‘protecting itself’ by targeting hospitals, sewage treatment facilities and Hamas’ pathetic, rag-tag army. The US votes in support of mega-powerful Israel were without dissent, Mr. Meehan.

Does this extraordinary fact not concern you?

Where is you Christian compassion, sir?

At this moment, influential establishment figures like Charles Krauthammer are declaring that the US-enabled human rights disaster in Palestine is the fault only of the victims. Is that true? Nothing more?

I don’t believe that. Do you?

Fadel remarks it would “take volumes to refute all the misleading comments in Krauthammer’s column.” Indeed, the same applies to Fadel’s reply to Krauthammer’s column. Fadel frequently cites pro-Hamas propagandist Ali Abunimah, whose risible claim that it was really Israel (not Hamas) who rejected the ceasefire is contradicted by, well, everyone. Oh, and the discovery of 20 rockets in a UN school was NOT an isolated incident as Fadel claims; it just happened again:
Anyway, this is just the tip of the iceberg. I need to go to sleep…

btw, Thomas Meehan, in light of your claim that Americans favor Israel b/c of “Jewish influence in all forms of media here,” I suggest you look into who owns the most pro-Israel major TV news network and the most pro-Israel major newspaper.

Fadel’s piece is a standard radical leftist diatribe against Israel. Alluding to the mistreatment of Native Americans isn’t going to fly for Unz’s mostly right-wing audience, as you can see above, but Unz will publish anything anti-Israel, right-wing or left. A right-wing anti-Israel audience wants to hear about how The Jews are destroying America, not be reminded of American sins that can’t be pinned on The Jews.

  5. I’d rather have Israelis over Palestinians as neighbors any day but if I’d have a choice, I would go with neither.

Of course, American obsession with Israel as been a net loss for us whatever way you look at it. At least with the Saudis we get oil, even if they support the terrorists who kill us, but with the Israelis we get nothing but good feelings for atoning for the holocaust or something while we give them money (the 3 billion + annual aid) and cannon fodder (Iraq, hopefully Iran next!) In other words, one can’t help but feel that Jews will defend Israel to the last drop of American blood.

All that aside, I’d actually like to see Israel secure and thriving. I think it really is a developed, functioning state in a region where that is few and far between. As the current tenants of the holy land, Israelis Jews have done about as good as the Imperial British in terms of upkeep and stability. If there was ever a effective White ethnostate to rise from the rubble of the U.S. empire, I’d imagine it would function much like modern Israel does today.

The problem, of course, is that the Palestinian question festers like a rotten wound for Israel. To simply drive the Palestinians out into Jordan and the Sinai in one grand ethnic sweep would be the last draw for liberal western support for the Israeli state. Also, hundreds of thousands of more Palestinian refugees in the middle-east would likely be the straw that breaks the camels back for the region, and its difficult to imagine the Israelis able able to sit through a storm like that unscathed.

2-state solution wouldn’t work, since the Israelis would lose settlement expansion, and it wouldn’t look much different than the occupation does today I’d imagine, since the Palestinian state would still be non-functioning.

Then, of course, the 1-state solution wouldn’t work either, as that sudden influx of Arabs would all but wipe out the Jewish ethnic and cultural character of Israel in the long-term. Over time a one-state Israel would likely regress to a stalled, corrupt, multicultural under-achiever so common to the region.

  6. analyst says:

Debates on Israel never seem to get anywhere. Krauthammer and Israeli apologists are spinning tales to keep the converted stocked up on stuff to use against the Palestinians. Nobody disputes the fact the Palestinians lived in Palestine now called Israel, and these guys are going to continue to fight for generations on this issue because they’ve nowhere else to go, and because they’re attached to the land, somewhat like all of us are. The fight is going to get bloodier and bloodier, and that’s all there is to it. The Gazans have their military-industrial complex, such as it is, underground, because the Israelis have them hemmed in on land, sea and air. They have become experts at this. But they don’t hide their missiles in people’s houses – these are truly industrial tunnels independent of any house, hospital or school. The Israelis know this and are spinning their massacres as if the Gazans are hiding their missiles in houses, hospital and school because they can – they have lots of converts all over the media. Its a war of words, and isn’t supposed to be truthful. The problem does however lie with the US, not with the Palestinians or the Israelis. The world suffers because the US cannot show any leadership. For a big country it is biased, petty and nasty.

  7. gdpbull says:

There is another fallacious narrative out there. It is “Because the civilians elected and support Hamas, they are culpable and valid targets, just as Germans and Japanese civilians were in WWII. The only way to change them is to completely destroy them to the point where they crawl out of the rubble, completely spent and exhausted like what was done to Germany and Japan.”

Wrong. The Germans and Japanese did exactly the same to countries they conquered like Poland and Korea, and yet those populations still resisted, however futile it was. Why is that? Its because they knew there were many great powers still out there that were on their side fighting against their oppressors. When Japan and Germany were defeated and occupied, they knew there was no one coming to their rescue. AND, most importantly, their punishment after the war was not excessive. There would have been continued resentment and strife if the occupation would have been punishing. If the Morgenthau plan had continued, Germany would have had an insurgency. Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed. Secretary of War Stimson called it “Semitism gone wild for revenge”.

So unless the entire Arab world is subjugated and all of Europe and the US support that and don’t oppose it, the Palestinians will continue their resistance. So the more accurate comparison would be Gaza=Poland, Israel=Germany. No Israel is not nearly as vicious as Nazi Germany. I’m not saying that.

  8. Krauthammer and his ilk are modern day Sophist who lead people astray with their rhetorical abilities. They are able to make complete nonsense sound sensible. They are destroying the moral fabric of the United States with their persuasive arguments for might makes right. Our modern day Pericles clones also surround themselves with these Sophist. The US is following Athens to the imperial graveyard. The UN needs to take over Gaza and the West Bank. UN security forces can deal with the security issues and give the Palestinian people dignity. They can defend Palestine from further land theft. Israel supporting fascist are destroying the soul of the US and Israel with their bloody ethnic nationalism. I think the thirst for blood and the rejection of morality has seriously disfigured both societies. Before long we will look at ISIS and we will see our country’s reflection. Palestinians have no intrinsic value to these people because they aren’t part of the nation. Nothing has value outside the nation. It sounds like fascism. Mussolini: “Therefore, for the Fascist, everything is in the State, and nothing human or spiritual exists, much less has value,-outside the State. In this sense Fascism is totalitarian, and the Fascist State, the synthesis and unity of all values, interprets, develops and gives strength to the whole life of the people.”

It is interesting that people come on here to defend Likud but have no words of concern for Palestinian deaths. They offer no other solution other than the violence that they defend. They are like Mussolini. It is all about the state of Israel. The rest of the world be damned. I can understand why Israel wants to get rid of the highly ineffective rockets Hamas has but shouldn’t the people in Gaza have an exit but it doesn’t justify how they are going about it. The people in Gaza have no exit except death. A significant part of the population is composed of children. If they aren’t killed they will be suffering from PTSD for the rest of their lives. A new generation of violent resistance is being born from trauma and they will have a desire for revenge. The events in Gaza will be permanently etched into their minds. They will relive it in dreams, flashbacks, and when they see an Israeli their fight or flight mechanism will become activated. They will want to share the pain and hurt they feel even if the Israeli has never lifted a finger against a Palestinian. I wouldn’t want a horde of traumatized youngsters out for my blood. This is a problem for Americans because that blood is on our hands because we fund it, those who sympathize with the victims know we are, and they may decide to do another 9/11 for revenge. It isn’t in America’s interest to fund and support this violent colonial project and their Palestinian concentration camps. Our interest is energy independence.

  9. Observer says:

America was first of the nations – last century.

For Christians, do you really think Jesus imagined people sitting around singing psalms forever? Or instead – building something with real worth? His father’s house was not in the wilderness.

For Jews, you were given a law to bind you together. Your maker told you pretty clearly why, too. People are given what they require. To make up for their shortcomings and give them a useful purpose.

For anti-Semites. Are you against people as a species and biological type? Or just against behavior you don’t like? If so, do you hold yourselves to the same standards?

For American nationalists, I don’t recognize this country anymore. Honestly. What is this place good for? Making money? Educating a world that is sick and tired of being patronized?

    Just sayin.

  10. quercus says:

If you mean Rupert Murdoch, I would say that just because he isn’t a Jew doesn’t mean he’s not a Zionist. Your argument is meaningless.

Just today, it is being reported that Israel has shelled a UNRW shelter, where residents of Gaza went to take shelter after they were so graciously and kindly advised by the Israelis to leave their homes because they were going to be bombed. What a wonderful example of Jewish morality.

I’m fine with the $3 billion being kept in the hands of tax-paying Americans. The Israel alliance is truly a one-way street.

But what can be more pathetic than showing the destruction of his land purely for the effect of cheap sympathy? The Palestinians get none from me; they are hardly innocent bystanders. If Israel is truly as ruthless as you think, encourage Palestinians to move to one of many Arab/Islamic states in the region, or win the war against the infidels for Allah like men. Quit crying to the world that your people are unable to effectively and sovereignly govern themselves.

  12. For once I agree with NB; Fadel is a tendentious leftist imbecile. While it would be nice if he were anti-matter and the sinister Dalek Krauthammer were matter, and we could tie them together in a burlap bag and launch them both into the sun, until NASA gets their shit together, this must remain a fantasy. I suppose his point of view is not one much heard in the mainstream media; would that Krauthammer wasn’t either.

  13. Observer, the US is a safe place to live. It is the home of 300 million people who manage to pretty much go about their lives without fear.

It is interesting people come on here attacking white ethnic nationalist who want the US to be an ethnically European dominated country and call them racist. Then they demand that Israel be an ethnically Jewish dominated country and it is anti-Semitic to think otherwise or criticize Israel’s ethnic policies which the white ethnic nationalist are paying for out of their pocket. You can’t look at world events and not realize that people will destroy their societies over human differences. What happens when the consumer economy party stops in the US? An open border with a mismanaged economy, and a violent us vs them socialization of the populace for Israel and militarism’s sake is a recipe for disaster. It threatens to end the peaceful life Americans of all ethnicities enjoy in the US. Likud supporters are nativist when it comes to Israel but are like the cartoon character AntiRacist Hitler when it comes to the US:

GW, if I were Palestinian I would relocate. There is plenty of desert out there. The problem for the people in Gaza is where can they go? How do they get out besides taking their own life? “Israel has combined the Israeli and Egyptian blockade of Gaza’s land borders with a maritime blockade of Gaza’s port and coastline by the Israeli Navy.”

Charles Krauthammer takes rank hypocrisy to new lows

On Wednesday, Krauthammer went on Fox News and claimed the V.T. shooter was inspired by Palestinians, Al-Jazeera and Islamic radicals. Today, he sternly condemned those who use the shootings to make political points.

KRAUTHAMMER: What you can say, just — not as a psychiatrist, but as somebody who’s lived through the a past seven or eight years, is that if you look at that picture, it draws its inspiration from the manifestos, the iconic photographs of the Islamic suicide bombers over the last half decade in Palestine, in Iraq and elsewhere.

That’s what they end up leaving behind, either on al Jazeera or Palestinian TV. And he, it seems, as if his inspiration for leaving the message behind in that way, might have been this kind of suicide attack, which, of course, his was. And he did leave the return address return “Ismail Ax.” “Ismail Ax.” I suspect it has some more to do with Islamic terror and the inspiration than it does with the opening line of Moby Dick.

What can one even say about a person this dishonest? While many individuals on both sides of the gun control issue quickly sought to depict these shootings as evidence of the rightness of their views, at least that issue has a clear connection to this incident.

But I don’t think that anyone exploited these shootings as crassly or as manipulatively — or as quickly — as Krauthammer did in order to link it to their own personal political agenda transparently remote from the actual incident. Is there a single individual anywhere who exploited these shootings more shamelessly for political gain than the person who ran on television before any facts were known to blame it on Al Jazeera, the Palestinians and the whole slew of Arab enemies that have long been his primary obsession?

So this Zio does never miss a chance to create fable based twisted psychological analysis in the gutter couch of Fox and WaPo to satisfy his murderous id to question the superego of the humanity.

Our two political Parties disagree about virtually everything except Israel.

Oh, I dunno. They seem as much in agreement in support of the ethnostate of Israel as they are in opposition to peoples of European descent having any kind of ethnostate, or any kind of political awareness that might ever lead to same.

Unz will publish anything anti-Israel, right-wing or left.

A worthy goal, aimed at doing what little one can to correct the drastic imbalance in the American propasphere.

I’d rather have Israelis over Palestinians as neighbors any day but if I’d have a choice, I would go with neither.

I’d take either over American Jewry, though I’d go with none of the above if I had a choice.

@Johnny, it’s really much worse than you describe: the US isn’t just supporting an aggressive, imperialistic ethno-state, it’s supporting the imperialistic ethno-state that has gelded it and beats it on a regular basis, lest it get any uppity ideas of its own about accommodating the non-Jewish varieties of ethnocentrism.

Yes, it is interesting, isn’t it. And it’s not just here, of course: it’s the reigning zeitgeist of America.

    Cui bono?

It’s a sucker’s game to pick either side here. I refuse to play.

I take up the Palestinian side until Jews stop attacking Europeans for contemplating for themselves what Jews have been doing since the founding of Israel…or the origin of Zionism…or the genesis of the Jewish people (take your pick).

There have been a great many scholars including Benny Morris who have accused Israel of the moral failures of not completely empting Eretz Israel of local indigenous people . He then used the example of US who had done it.
So the Zio are always looking for similar example and looking for identically accused , and yearning for any support from the quarters of the past and current criminals while hoping that future criminals would also extend them the urgently needed moral bulldowzer to destroy and empty few more Olive ranches, destroy few more homes, and kill telegenically few more.

Your cry for genetic purity or for exclusive white trash will soothe the Zio but won’t help the decreasing white numbers.

The Muslims in general don’t get along with anyone who isn’t a devout Muslim – they tend to beat, kidnap and murder non-believers where they are the majority. 38. Sam J. says:

I’ve looked at the Jewish problem over and over for a long time. There is only one framework that is reliable when thinking about them.

The Jews are a tribe of psychopaths. Not every single one but a very large amount compared to people who are not Jews.

People don’t believe this because ALL of us relate to others by thinking that they have the same thinking patterns as we do. We even do this with Animals.

All of the Jews ancient writings are nothing more than a manual for psychopaths to live by. The Talmud is nothing but one psychopathic thought after another. The Talmud “great enlightenment” basically says that everyone not Jewish is there to serve Jews. All their property is really the Jews. No one is really human unless they’re Jews and their lives don’t matter.

Jews have the same pattern over and over because it works. They go to another country. They say the last country oppressed them and they’ve always been oppressed because they love God and only serve him.

They rise to the top of the country by these methods. They flatter the people who control the country, get them in their debt. Possibly black mail them. They take control of the information and media of the country. After this point the country goes down rapidly. Here’s where the psychopaths always mess up. They have no off switch. Have you ever watched a documentary on wolverines? They are just like wolverines. Wolverines are insatiable eaters. They will eat til they pass out. The Jews are they same. Anyone can get rich if all they do is pursue wealth constantly. This obsession is worse for the Jews as there is nothing they will not do. Psychopaths have no shame so they will do any crime or break any taboo to get money and power.

Psychopaths having no empathy themselves can only go by the feedback they get from the people they are exploiting. So they push and push to see what they can get away with. The normal people build up resentment towards them. Thinking “surely they will reform or repent” like a normal person who does wrong. Of course the Jews do not. They don’t have the mental process for reform. Then in a huge mass outpouring of hate for the Jews, fed up with the refusal to reform their behavior, they attack and/or deport them. In this stage of the cycle the Big/Rich Jews escape and the little Jews are attacked.

    Start over.

If you read about psychopaths and apply this information to Jews you will never be surprised.

Yes, the powerful and influential should be held up to scrutiny. History shows powerful groups often abuse their power, or use it in ways that help themselves at the expense of others. With the possible exception of AIPAC, influential Jewish groups and people don’t get scrutiny in proportion to their influence.

Presently, the world is getting more truth about Israel’s ongoing massacre of men, women and children in Gaza from social media, alternative media, and non-Western media than they are from Western media where Jews and Israel’s gentile sympathizers have more influence over content. That is not a coincidence.

Psychopaths? Not so much. They are pretty nice people in their own way.

It’s a mistake to mistake the narrator of the Torah with the Jewish people. But that guy that keeps popping in at inconvenient times— “God”? Moses’ not so nice alter ego? They say opposites attract, and maybe the Jewish people and Moses were that kind of match. Whoever that guy was, his words have demonstrated pretty nifty staying power.

keep up your excellent fact-free, ad hominum rhetoric, maybe you’ll end up on the same Saudi payroll that the “Carter Center for Peace” was able to suckle from.

Meanwhile, we will eventually completely expel the colonialist invading (AD 690’s) Arabic-language-loyalists from the western side of the River – and re-invigorate the indigenous Aramaic language for those loyal citizens who happen to be Christians. A quite appreciable fraction of the so=called “Arab Christian” population, do voluntarily enlist in the IDF.

Yesterday – liberation of Spain from Arabic colonialism
Today – ongoing liberation of Rakhine from Arabic colonialism
Tomorrow – liberation of Jerusalem from Arabic colonialism

Where can the Arabic-loyalists go? Just across the River to Amman. Plenty of American troops there RIGHT NOW, guarding the Hashemite Royal Family. Of course, that area WAS part of our envisioned reborn Hebrew Judea, up until the British Army manhandled it away from us in 1922

Expelling un-loyal people worked just fine in America right after the Revolutionary War, didn’t it?

A true reconciliation can only come from forgiveness. Israel should seek forgiveness for Balfour, for manipulated Paris Peace Conference of 1919, for repeatedly trying to meet the recommendations of the 5 or 6 assessment papers on the situation from 1922 to 1939, for uprooting civilians from 1947 and increasing the expulsion and the slaughters from1948.
It has to accept that it has provoked every war excepting 1973.

    @Sam J.

Jewish people is a loaded term . Very few even in ancient times believed every things the religious leaders said or claimed. Most people just follow the leadership in exchange for a sense of stability, security, and advantages.
Very few Jews wanted to settle in Palestine. Very few were Zionist in US until 1942 conference . With success of 1967 war more joined the flock. It is the duty of the elders to persuade. Organize, and get result and then claim the power to enforce what they believed all along . Judaism or Zionism is the product of the movement of an elite group to maintain separate existence, enjoy the fruit of the labor and the disunity of the people around them, and dominate the non Jews . To achieve these. Zionist orJuadism have to engage in endless sophistry, distortion, denigration of other, exclusiveness and uniqueness of themselves whether it is moral level of Judaism, universal duties of Israelites,or the unique sufferings of the Jews, they always stand apart from the rest with self imposed responsibility to Tikkun the world or to heal the humanity.

The outcomes of these internal fights or the defeat of one lobby over another always hurt the interest of one group over another but broadly it seves the interst of US and when it does not it gets thrown out ,banished or even taken to court of justice .
But the Israel lobby or the activities of the neocons have hurt always US and have benefitted Israel

There is another of his ilk . He does deep thinking and reaches superficial but visible conclusion for the brain atrophied people with eye diseases.
His name is the great prison guard J Goldberg
” My old sparring partner, Jeffrey Goldberg, has been busy pondering why Hamas has sent hundreds of rockets – with no fatalities – into Israel. He argues that it does this in order to kill Palestinians. It’s an arresting idea, and it helps perpetuate the notion that there are no depths to which these Islamist fanatics and war criminals will not sink.”

I am sure he believed that Palestinian wanted to be tortured and that’s why they ended up with him in the prison.

  52. KA says:

“On Friday, Chief Inspector Micky Rosenfeld, foreign press spokesman for the Israel Police, reportedly told BBC journalist Jon Donnisonhe that the men responsible for murders were not acting on orders of Hamas leadership. Instead, he said, they are part of a “lone cell.” Further, Inspector Rosenfeld told Donnison that if Hamas’ leadership had ordered the kidnapping, “they’d have known about it in advance.”
Kruthammer will not like this .

  53. The Palestinians are unable to govern, defend, and police themselves. The UN is going to have to take control if a two state solution is going to be possible. Perhaps after 50-100 years of UN control a Palestinian state would be feasible after people like the settlers and Hamas die off from old age. New generations will be born without the handicaps of their grandparents. The militants in Gaza are like a propaganda arm of Likud with their rockets. They are pretty much a fig leaf.

NB, it was people who sounded like Eliezer that I was aiming for.

Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, how are you going to expel them? Gaza’s borders are closed. If you were going to expel them wouldn’t you have compelled Egypt to let them in? What do you think the US gets out of the treatment of the Palestinians? I’m afraid all of this is going to inspire people to commit terrorist attacks against the US again.
