After 365 long days, “Black History Month” is here again, so now is the ideal time to discuss the destruction of Confederate statues and their replacements and what they mean. The last three years of cultural-historical iconoclasm didn’t begin with the Floyd Hoax. Nor did it begin with Dylann Roof’s murders at a black church in 2015. I believe it began 30 years ago, when the U.S. Senate, panicked by a black radical from Chicago, repealed the “congressional patent”—essentially, formal acknowledgement—of the United Daughters of the Confederacy’s trademarked logo. Incredibly petty of course—but America’s Totalitarian Left understands that the symbols in which the Historic American Nation takes pride must be destroyed in order to complete the Great Replacement. In contrast, the GOP/GAP does not understand symbols, which explains why America is losing this Orwellian war to expunge our past.

This the latest news is from Roanoke, VA: the city was forced to replace its statue of Robert E. Lee with one of a completely unknown (because they couldn’t think of anyone else) black woman, Henrietta Lacks, who happened to be born in Roanaoke. And for something she didn’t know she did but happened only because of white science. (More below). That’s how crazy the madcap rush to Replace from public memory the Confederacy—and eventually white America—has become.

Of course the winds of the anti-Confederate war blew from the very moment Martin Luther King Jr. was canonized with a national holiday in 1983.

Elevating a communist fellow-traveler and accomplice to rape to the status of Washington and Lincoln, as Sam Francis subsequently wrote, legitimized King and delegitimized those real heroes.

A “new nation,” Francis continued, was being created:

In the new nation and the new creed of which the King holiday serves as symbol, all institutions, values, heroes, and symbols that violate the dogma of equality are dethroned and must be eradicated. Those associated with the South and the Confederacy are merely the most obvious violations of the egalitarian dogma and therefore must be the first to go, but they will by no means be the last.

Subsequently, black Illinois Senator Carol Moseley Braun fired one of the first nationally-significant shots in the emerging ideological war against the Confederacy. In 1993, seven years after the King holiday was first celebrated, Braun attacked the UDC’s design patent for its insignia, which included the first Confederate National Flag—known as the “Stars and Bars”…

…significantly, not the much more inflammatory (and consequently much-loved) Battle Flag, which, let the record show, was still acceptable as a Clinton-Gore symbol in 1992:

“On this issue there can be no consensus. It is an outrage. It is an insult,” Moseley Braun proclaimed:

It is absolutely unacceptable to me and to millions of Americans, black or white, that we would put the imprimatur of the United States Senate on a symbol of this kind of idea.

[Daughter of Slavery Hushes Senate, by Adam Clymer, NYT, July 23, 1993]

Needless to say, Americans hadn’t thought much about the UDC insignia until Braun mounted her charger. Nevertheless, figuratively speaking, Braun brought even Alabama Democrat Sen. Howell Heflin, a descendant of Confederates, to his knees—long before stupid whites really began kneeling before their new masters thanks to George Floyd’s fentanyl overdose.

Heflin’s ancestors were “deeply rooted in the Confederacy,” he said. He was the grandson of a Confederate surgeon, and the great-grandson of a signer of Alabama’s secession ordinance. But alas, said Heflin, the UDC’s patent must go:

We live in a nation that daily is trying to heal the scars that have occurred in the past. We’re trying to heal problems that still show negative and ugly aspects in our world that we live in today. And perhaps racism is one of the greatest scars and serious illnesses we suffer from still today. [C-Span Video]

While Braun made trouble for the UDC, Democrat governors were working to remove the Battle Flag from their state flag [Moseley-Braun Fighting Extension Of Insignia Patent For Confederate Group, by David Pace, The Associated Press, May 3, 1993].

In the intervening three decades, the Respectable Right has learned nothing.

After Roof murdered nine blacks in that black church in Charleston, South Carolina, there came the demand that the state strike the Confederate battle flag. GOP Governor Nikki Haley, a Punjabi Indian with no roots in the country in general or the South in particular, readily complied. Nimrata Randhawa didn’t give a rip about the flag. When brave, Christian Southern boys were marching into Union rifle and canister fire, her ancestors were still in the Punjab worshiping cows and hoping for a Hindu purification bath in the Ganges River.

After the Floyd Hoax, rampaging blacks and self-hating whites vandalized every Confederate statue on Richmond, Virginia’s Monument Avenue, including Lee’s equestrian statue, one of the most valuable public works of art in the country.

Terrified Republican legislators in the oldest democratically-elected legislature in the Western Hemisphere skedaddled into the bushes.

Of course, once America’s Southern patriots were demonized, then came the non-Southerners: from Junipero Serra and Christopher Columbus to Lewis and Clark and George Custer.

I expect eventually to see Mount Rushmore and Stone Mountain blown to smithereens. I await the day when one of my (Northern) ancestors, whose statue stands in the U.S. Capitol’s Statuary Hall, is removed solely because he is white. I await the day when the monument in Ohio to another, who fought with Gen. Daniel Morgan and Light Horse Harry Lee in South Carolina, is removed because he was killed in battle against the Indians.

The tenacious iconoclasm is not stopping with wrecking statues. Our new cultural commissars have graduated to desecrating graves. Even Confederate dead may not rest in peace.

So Leftists understand symbols and know how to use them. And why some must be destroyed and replaced. Communists conscripted Abraham Lincoln to serve the Red cause at party rallies for a reason.

But Conservativism Inc. absolutely does not understand the political and cultural value of symbols. For example, in absurdly trying to claim Martin Luther King as one of their own because he was a Republican (wrong), would have abhorred Affirmative Action (wrong), and would have called abortion genocide against blacks (wrong), they have stupidly helped empower and embolden the Left to redefine the American founding and history.

By accepting those new symbols, Conservatism Inc. validated the war on the Confederate flag and statues and memorials. The new symbols were adopted not by popular approbation by racial and political extortion. If you don’t approve the King holiday, you are a racist opponent of civil rights for blacks. If you vote for the UDC patent, you are a racist defender of slavery!

As well, the new symbols require rewriting American history much more profoundly than Lincoln’s reinvention of the Founding in the Gettysburg Address.

Thus, the central claim behind the new symbols is that American history did not begin in 1492 when Columbus sailed the ocean blue. It did not begin 1607 when John Smith led Virginia Company Englishmen to Jamestown, or in 1620 when John Winthrop, William Bradford and the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. It did not even begin when Lincoln waged an unconstitutional war that erased a quarter of Southern manhood ages 20-24.

When The New York Times disgorged its ludicrous 1619 Project, we learned that the real history begins—when the first black slave landed at Jamestown! Since then, the most significant events are Emmett Till’s murder, the U.S. Supreme Court’s Brown v. Board decision, the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, King’s plagiarized I Have A Dream speech and, then, of course, his murder.

Nothing else matters. Blacks invented America.

Perhaps a sane country could have kept its old heroes and still accommodated blacks and their desire for their own—perhaps a day recognizing phony Christian minister King, or even that hideous Asian-looking Colossus in the shadows of the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument.

But we don’t live in a sane country. That accommodation would never have been enough, just as civil and voting rights were never enough, in a country where the majority population is taught to hate itself.

And so, as Sam Francis wrote nearly two decades ago, the old symbols could not coexist with the new.

To summarize the history of memory-holing the butternut and gray, let me rewrite Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn’s dictum about the French Revolution:

For the average conservative, the war against Confederate symbols began with the Floyd Hoax or Roof’s church massacre.

For the knowledgeable conservative, the war began in 1993, when an angry black woman mau-maued the U.S. Senate into revoking the UDC’s patent.

And even then, for the genuine historian, the students of Sam Francis, the war’s staging ground was the King Holiday and the “Civil Rights Movement” what preceded it.

As for Robert E. Lee’s replacement in Roanoke: Lacks, whose cells were used in cancer research after her death, had her first child at 14 years old, six years before she married the father. She died of cervical cancer, a disease caused, in nine of 10 cases, by the sexually-transmitted human papillomavirus.

Make of that what you will.

The slave owners made this country, like it or not. You can’t tell me they were all stupid and thought they could control what they set loose. They barely tried.

Failing to skip African slavery, they could have jumped on a Repatriation plan early. President Grant had a fairly doable one. Or better, all whites could have encouraged the Marcus Garvey movement instead of persecuting him. Garvey’s legacy was still kicking around in the 1970s but no rich whites tried to help.

Fact is American slavery is lied about totally. First, barely 3-5 percent of whites ever owned slaves. Second the West African Blacks were not necessarily better than other “slaves” if you really think they were ever needed. Indians enslaved each other long before the white man. And I don’t need to tell you whites enslaved each other quite a lot.

It’s way past due for a split. I care not one bit about any statue while white kids are vulnerable to racial assault. Better to smash all the statues of the “greats” anyway. If they were so fuckin great why are we here?

  4. Senator Braun’s one-sided fight with the United Daughters of the Confederacy, which was made memorable by Sen. Jesse Helms when he greeted Sen. Braun in the senate chamber by literally whistling Dixie, wasn’t the earliest salvo fired against American white people.

A legal watershed was the reaction to a Federal court decision in 1990 which ruled that Alabama could display a Confederate flag at the state capitol. The decision prompted The Yale Law Journal, in 1991, to publish “Driving Dixie Down: Removing the Confederate Flag From Southern State Capitols”. The hateful Ivy League treatise began as a road map for removing symbols of Southern culture, with leftist progressives only recently using the momentum to “fundamentally transform” the United States.

At the same time, 1991, the NAACP in convention, to excite interest while faced with lagging membership adopted the resolution to target all thing Confederate. I remember reading, in the few reports about it, Well It’s Just Confederates.

  5. ‘Respectable’ conservatism has been a racketeering fraud for a very long time. The old Southern Presbyterian R. L. Dabney pointed this out in a pamphlet written in 1871 about the nascent female suffrage movement:

It may be inferred again that the present movement for women’s rights will certainly prevail from the history of its only opponent: Northern conservatism. This is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. . . . Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth, and has no idea of being guilty of the folly of martyrdom. It always when about to enter a protest very blandly informs the wild beast whose path it essays to stop, that its “bark is worse than its bite,” and that it only means to save its manners by enacting its decent role of resistance: The only practical purpose which it now serves in American politics is to give enough exercise to Radicalism to keep it “in wind,” and to prevent its becoming pursy and lazy, from having nothing to whip. No doubt, after a few years, when women’s suffrage shall have become an accomplished fact, conservatism will tacitly admit it into its creed, and thenceforward plume itself upon its wise firmness in opposing with similar weapons the extreme of baby suffrage; and when that too shall have been won, it will be heard declaring that the integrity of the American Constitution requires at least the refusal of suffrage to asses. There it will assume, with great dignity, its final position.

The racket called conservatism conserves nothing except for the gains made by the Satanic champions of “progress”. This has always been its chief purpose. The Republicans – or Gay Old Pedoburo – went from playing the “progressive” role back in Dabney’s time to the “conservative” one a century after he wrote the above. Dabney’s comment was prophetic. The asses do indeed have full suffrage now, and there are vast necropoles filled with voters to make sure they always win. It would be no surprise if Rev. Dabney himself was a registered ‘voter’ who has voted many times for many an approved candidate – long after his passage form this mortal coil in 1898.

  6. Charles says:

I as much as anyone like to blame my problems on others, when feasible. But Revilo Oliver was correct – Whites do not, perhaps cannot, fight for their own exclusive interests. Even in the event that Whites act for their own benefit, they are always forced to camouflage racial self-interest with the disclaimer that they are actually worried about the welfare of some other racial groups. If we racially go extinct, it will not be because we were conquered as Whites conquered the N. American aborigines, it will be because we chose a deliberately suicidal path. A person determined to commit suicide cannot be prevented from doing so.

  7. anarchyst says:

One should not judge the behavior of those living hundreds of years ago by the standards of today.
The situation was much different, utilization of energy not being what it is today. Most people lived a hardscrabble existence, worrying about where and when the next meal for themselves and their families would come from.
Even with slavery, in many cases, the slave owner worked alongside his slaves as life was not easy for any of them. The slave owner had the additional burden of being required to take care of his slaves FOR LIFE. Yes, it was a symbiotic relationship in many cases, but many times, from a survival standpoint, at least here in the USA, slaves were “better off” than free (white) people. This fact does not justify chattel slavery, but is merely a recognition of the times that life was not easy for anyone–free white or black slave.
The image of the slave owner sitting on his veranda sipping mint juleps while watching his slaves till the fields is a myth.
In fact, since planting seasons and harvest seasons were extremely time sensitive, the slave owner was likely to be alongside his slaves to either plant or harvest the crops.
In between planting and harvest, there was not a lot of work for slaves to do. Many of them developed other skills such as carpentry and woodworking that could be used to provide an income, even enough for many of them to purchase their freedom.
It is interesting to note that the most prolific slave traders were those of a certain “tribe”, as they had the business acumen and the wealth to run that sordid trade. Not only did ((they)) finance the slave ships and provided insurance for their ships and human cargo, ((they)) owned and ran the slave auction houses. In fact, to this day, according to this “tribe”, slavery is still condoned. It’s all laid out in their Talmud.
As an aside, Cinque, as portrayed in the movie Amistad, in real life, after gaining his freedom became one of the most successful slave trader of the day. He made numerous trips back and forth to the African continent to secure “human cargo”.

  8. AKINDLE says:

The whole of the US government is evil. It chose blacks over White children, and continues to live that lie today. Everything this country does from the State of the Union to the Superbowl is nigger lovin’ BS> The jews, nigger loving Whites, gays and lesbians, and niggers themselves ruined a whole country for their own wealth and virtue signaling “diversity” It’s sick.

  9. AceDeuce says:

Good article. Niggrows are insufferable, but God help us when they grab power. That female skidmark from Illinois as an example. The thing to do is not humor them or play-like the article reminds us even a smart man like Helms is whistling to be sarcastic. WTF?

No. We need to stop whistling and start bristling–tell them to fk off. That they are the most fkd up group of people on Earth, and that they should mind their business and stay out of ours. Spend their time improving their own sorry asses.

Never vote for a non-White: Niggro, la raza tacobreath, camel humper, ghooker, dot-headed street shitter-none. They are not Americans and they hate you. Pro tip: Hate them back for a change.

That’s what’s wrong with YT: These vermin want to KICK YTs ass, and YT wants to LICK colored ass. Just stop. Flip that script.

Sound harsh? Good. Look around and see what cucking and ducking has got us. And they ain’t nearly done yet.

Notice the timing of their attacks on confederate history and symbols. It was after the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 when they began opening up their offensive against aspects of American history such as the confederacy, pro-confederacy organizations and confederate symbols. Just like how (((they))) began waging war on white Americans after we saved their bacon in WWII and attacked racially restrictive covenants and segregated schooling.

  11. A very merry [email protected] Hiskry Mumf to one and all, although I have to say there is absolutely no evidence of it in my area. No flags, no bunting, no posters, no special shows, nada. King Day as well went completely unobserved except for not delivering mail.

I for one would very much like to acknowledge Henrietta Lacks’ remarkable contribution to science an d improvement of the human condition. My suggestion would be a statue of her holding a very large petri dish; but perhaps historically illiterate Americans would take the dish for a pizza pan—and believe she was the founder of Pizza Hut or Domino’s.

  12. jluker says:

Excellent point. The colonization society was formed in the early 1800s with Liberia as a result. There was always the opportunity to deport them back to Africa. Missed opportunities.

  13. Henrietta Lacks’ husband was a womanizer who transmitted aggressive strains of venereal disease to her over and over, for which she forgave him. She probably wasn’t the promiscuous one, but who can say now. I was touched, though, when I read in the book that when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, her sorrow was that she wouldn’t be able to have more babies. It occurred to me then how few White women now feel this innocent and pure attachment to their femininity or even their female bodies. We don’t even know what we are anymore. Sad, actually.
