I’ve been submitting my essays to The Unz Review since February. Ron has been nice enough to publish them, and I have appreciated the opportunity to get my ideas out on this popular platform. I think this is a great site that is refreshingly open to alternative, non-establishment perspectives. I consider it a haven for independent-minded, free-thinking rebels, like myself.

I have found the comments that are left by readers most interesting. I generally don’t participate in social media, other than posting my rather eccentric music videos on YouTube, so I have not been accustomed to such essentially anonymous commentary, in which, I guess, people feel safe to vent their innermost personal thoughts and feelings for the world to see. I, too, enjoy venting, though I’m not anonymous about it.

Venting and ranting—or well-articulated commentary—can be good and healthy for all, often leading to honest expression of insightful ideas that are beneficial for readers. I’ve learned valuable information from many of the comments, and I’ve appreciated the different perspectives that have been expressed. That’s all wonderful.

However, I feel compelled to share a blunt observation: Some of the comments about my essays sound like they came from the proverbial, stereotypical, unbalanced loner typing away on his Cheetos-stained keyboard in his mom’s basement. Not that I have anything against crazy loners in particular. I suppose that, given my own personality eccentricities and unconventional ideas, I could fit into that category (though I’m not in my mom’s basement).

Sick obsession

One theme has especially jumped out at me in the comments—what I see as an obsession with Jews, Zionists, bagel benders, or whatever else you want to call the Semitic people who are attributed with certain beliefs, behaviors, or genetic characteristics that some other people apparently find highly objectionable. Every essay that I have written, regardless of the subject matter, has received commentary along the lines of “I see Smuskiewicz says nothing here about Jews. He clearly must be a naive fool to not see the Jewish-Zionist connection!” It seems that some of these commenters are firmly convinced that there is a dastardly Jewish connection to every single problem in America and the rest of the world. Well, I think that is a simplistic, dehumanizing, lazy, and obsessive perspective.

For example, in my most recent previous essay, my word search count, as of the present writing, shows 147 mentions of the word “Jew” in the comment section, such as these brilliantly insightful blurbs:

Skimmed the article and found no mention of Jews, Israel, Jews manipulating, destroying, controlling American domestic and foreign policies. Jewish privilege, Jewish perversion, Jewish corruption, Jewish deliberately destroying White nations, wars for Jews/Israel……

Call the Jew a devil, a cheat, an evil bastard, a miscreant, a knave, and he doesn’t mind at all. Call him a “Jew” and he gets nervous. Smuskiewicz and the rest of America have been trained. Don’t call them what they are. Devlish Jews

replace “Satan” with “Zionist Jewish Supremacist” and yep, you got it. They control, they manipulate, they character assassinate, they assassinate. They bought Churchill, they manipulated FDR, they killed three Kennedys, they planned 9/11 as a false flag, or they knew all about it and permitted it as a net gain to their goals. Every rotten movement or philosophy in America has Jews as the source or the Jewish community which strongly supports the evil.

It’s also clear that JewMerica is what happens when a country becomes thoroughly riddled with Jews. Consider it an experiment in disaster. The outcome is obvious. You can see that Germany did very well after being cleaned out of Jews after WW2.

Feeling dirty

It makes me feel dirty just reading such disgustingly hateful bile-filled juvenile trash. Those are some very sick comments. And such sick comments have been left in all of my essays. Fortunately, more intelligent, mature readers have left intelligent, mature comments—even if they disagree with my expressed views—and there are a lot of intelligent readers of The Unz Review. But any site that truly believes in free speech, like this site, has to take the ignorant as well as the enlightened. That’s cool with me. I’m a free-speech absolutist, so go ahead and call me a “stupid fuckfaced faggot” all you want! But when I see such ugly and absurd claptrap, I have a right to point it out.

The tone of most of the anti-Jewish comments seems to be very personal and angry, as if the commenters were personally harmed in some way by Jewish people, leading them to become so obsessed with loathing that they want to blame “the Jews” for everything that has gone wrong in their lives. I don’t know what the core problems of these people are, but I can guess.

Culture of success

Perhaps Jews serve as a convenient easy scapegoat for their own personal failings. Or perhaps some of their hatred and obsession stems from resentment and jealousy. As a very nice Jewish woman with whom I used to work told me once, the traditional Jewish family and social culture places a high value on education and success in this world, unlike, for example, the modern-day American black culture or the typical white trash culture. In the Jewish culture, people typically get a good education, which leads to a good job and a successful career, whether it’s in business, law, medicine, entertainment, or some other field. My Jewish coworker noted that one will rarely find a Jew working at a menial job in a factory.

The traditional Chinese culture is much the same way. Another former coworker of mine was a guy with a wicked sense of humor from Hong Kong who half-jokingly told me, “The Chinese are the Jews of the East.” This is why Chinese-Americans are, as a whole, a very successful group in the U.S. population. They believe in education, solid family values, and career success. Is that bad? I don’t think so. I think it’s very good. Other American cultures could learn from the Jews and the Chinese. But with people of Chinese heritage, I speculate that there may also be genetic factors at play in their generally superior intellectual capacity. But that’s an issue for another essay.

So, if you grow up in such a success-encouraging culture, you are, needless to say, more likely to be driven to achieve positions of power and influence in society, compared to the poor schmuck who grew up believing that the world owed him something for nothing. Consequently, there are likely to be more Jewish people within powerful executive positions in various fields of business, whether its banking, publishing, media, entertainment, or any other industry. Does this make for some kind of evil, secretive, conspiratorial Jewish-Zionist cabal that is perpetually scheming and plotting to pervert our society? Well, of course, many people in these big businesses are indeed evil—that’s pretty damn clear—but I don’t think it’s because they are Jewish. There are plenty of non-Jewish evil-as-hell business executives, too.

Evilness just happens to be the nature of the modern American/Western business model, which is crushing the regular folks more and more every day. But don’t blame “the Jews.” Blame early 21st-century American late-empire, corrupt, crony capitalism. All late-stage civilizations have suffered from some form of such corruption and decadence, going back to the decline and fall of Rome and before. Historically speaking, this decadence seems to be an inevitable part of aging human societies, and it cannot be logically blamed on any particular religion or ethnicity.

Destructive people

Jewish people are people, just like any other kind of human being. Homo sapiens sapiens. We are all the same species, despite the unscientific rantings of some of the haters. We all have the same number of chromosomes, and we can all interbreed if we want to and produce viable offspring—the classic scientific definition of a biological animal species. The hatred and demonization of people based on their race, ethnicity, or some other inherent biological characteristic is the height of stupidity and ignorance, not to mention ugliness.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’m no peace-and-love hippie. I hate plenty of people, but I hate them for what they do, not for the molecular combinations that make up their genes. And, thankfully for my hate impulses to be happy, there are currently plenty of very powerful and influential or used-to-be powerful and influential people to absolutely and totally despise for their evil and destructive actions—Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, James Comey, Valerie Jarrett, Condoleezza Rice, Al Sharpton, Rupert Murdoch, Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates—to name just a few.

None of those people, as far as I know, have Jewish backgrounds, but they have all been responsible for some of the most heinous crimes against America and the rest of the world in recent decades. I don’t know the names, religions, or ethnicities of the CEOs of the giant U.S. defense contractors and pharmaceutical companies, but I doubt if they are all Jewish—and those are among the most satanic business executives on the planet.

There are, of course, also a lot of powerful Jewish people to hate—people like George Soros, Klaus Schwab, Mark Zuckerberg, Adam Schiff, Victoria Nuland, and Merrick Garland. Those scoundrels are all pure evil, to be sure. So, we have evil powerful Jews and evil powerful non-Jews. Religion and ethnicity are irrelevant. Evil is evil, and power corrupts.

I anticipate the argument that the non-Jews aren’t really responsible for their actions, because they’re just puppets being commanded by their Jewish behind-the-scene masters, like Soros and Schwab. I admit that Biden may be a brainless sock puppet, but the others still have brains and free will. Nobody is forcing them to do evil. They do it of their own choosing. So, even if they are under the powerful influence of some “Jewish-Zionist masters,” that does not absolve them of their own guilt. They share the blame.

Geopolitics and human nature

It is easy to pick out some particular scapegoat to blame for your troubles or the problems that you see in the world. But I urge you to not be so ignorant and simplistic as to believe in the legendary vast, secret, global Jewish-Zionist conspiracy and cabal. Such a position overlooks the complexities and intricacies of geopolitical events, global economics, and basic human behavior. There are many complex, interconnected factors at play in world events.

Human nature is—naturally—selfish, greedy, and opportunistic, similar to the instinctual nature of the cockroaches, ants, rats, weeds, other ubiquitous pests that humans are always trying to kill, probably because these are the species that are most like themselves. People are trying to eliminate the competition. A person, even a very evil person, might seem nice as an individual in a one-on-one conversation. But you put most any humans into a group, and you’re gonna get corruption. You give that group power, you’re gonna eventually get evil. You get interactions among different powerful groups of people, you’re gonna get a world on a highway to hell. And the older the society becomes, the closer to mass societal dysfunction it will get.

That’s what we’re seeing in America today. An old, sick, dysfunctional society dominated by greedy powerful interests that all have one thing in common, and it’s not being Jewish. Rather, it’s the lust for wealth, power, and fame. This is basic, selfish human nature that has become further twisted by the temptations of a group-think modern society awash in materialism and technology and lacking in any honest, sincere spiritual values. This sickness affects Jews, as well as Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, agnostics, atheists, and most any other Americans of any religion, ethnicity, or race who are part of modernity.

Who’s to blame?

Therefore, I suggest that you please stop blaming the Jews for everything! If you want to vent your anger at some particular entity, blame the ignorant, intellectually lazy, drug- and technology-addicted American public as a whole, for allowing all the damn crooked politicians and corporate executives to flush the once great country of the USA down the toilet. The American people have been too busy accumulating their latest shiny new goodies and gadgets to give a fuck. And I urge you to cast your most vile hatred toward the most powerful, evil, and guilty establishment institutions in America—the federal government, the corporate lobbyists, the military-industrial complex, the pharmaceutical industry, the mass media, the education system, and big organized establishment religions of all kinds.

No, I am not obsessed with blaming Jews for my problems or the problems of this country and this world. Are you? If you are, it may be helpful to stop and ask yourself, what are the main problems that we face today? The answer to that question is a matter of opinion, but four big problems that I could think of are the rot of popular culture (such as modern-day music and movies, gay pride, etc), the growing wealth inequality between the upper and lower classes, the harmful effects on the world of American imperialist warmongering policies, and the worsening authoritarianism of domestic policies. Can you honestly blame Jews for all of these problems? How many of the top trashy pop star sluts of today are Jewish? How many of the top trashy Hollywood garbage-making actors today are Jewish? Are all the trannies that are lately dominating the news Jewish? How many of the recent warmongering presidents, secretaries of state, and secretaries of defense have been Jewish? How many of the most powerful politicians today are Jewish? Are all the corrupt, wealthy, destructive corporate executives today Jewish? Are all the mass media bullshitters, propagandists, and censors Jewish?

Check out the answers to those questions, and it should become clear to you that there is a helluva lot of blame to go around to people of all ethnicities and religions for the totally disgusting state of our sick American society.

Israel?

What about Israel? Yes, Israel is, in many ways, an unjust society that often treats Arabs like shit. That’s bad, but it’s nothing that needs to be singled out as being unusual among world governments. The governments in power in most countries treat their minor populations, their out-of-power groups, or other groups deemed to be unworthy like shit. Consider how the Ukrainian authorities persecuted the minority Russian population in eastern Ukraine before the Russian intervention last year. Consider how the white South Africans in power subjugated the blacks before the end of apartheid in that country. Hell, look at how the left-wing authoritarians in power in the United States are trying to silence, persecute, and prosecute conservative and libertarian dissenters today! Power always corrupts everybody, regardless of the genetic makeup of the powerful.

If Palestinians suddenly assumed power throughout Israel tomorrow, I imagine that they would treat any remaining Jews pretty shitty. They certainly have excelled in terrorist attacks against Israelis. Are such horrendous attacks on civilians supposed to be good and justified? You have to admit that people of all kinds have done a lot of evil, inhumane, bloody shit in the name of some kind of perceived justification.

Jewish pride

I was born in Chicago to a family with a Polish and Russian heritage. I was raised Catholic, though I reject all organized religions today. When I was in my thirties, I discovered that some of my ancestors, if you go back far enough, were probably Russian Jews. In fact, I have the same last name, when you account for cultural variations in spellings, as the man who was the head of the Soviet Air Force at the beginning of World War II. That man was a Russian Jew named Yakov Smushkevich, a two-time Hero of the Soviet Union. I like to think that he might have been a distant relative, though I don’t know for sure. That would make me rather proud.

There are many, many prominent people in American and world history of which Jews can be very proud. The Jewish culture has enriched the world in a variety of endeavors like few other cultures. Consider these lofty names, as just a few examples: Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Edward Teller, Richard Feynman, Jonas Salk, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Benny Goodman, Leonard Bernstein, Aaron Copland, Arnold Shoenberg, Gustav Mahler, Felix Mendelssohn, Kurt Weill, Philip Glass, Burt Bacharach, Oscar Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Sigmund Freud, Ayn Rand, Noam Chomsky, Isaac Asimov, Carl Sagan, Frank Gehry, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Lou Reed, Neil Diamond, Steven Spielberg, Cecil B. DeMille, James Caan, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Kirk Douglas, Mel Brooks, Groucho Marx, Lou Boudreau, Hank Greenberg, and Sandy Koufax. I believe that each of these individuals had a Jewish background or identity, and I know that the world was made a better, more vibrant, more interesting place because of them.

So, again, my advice to those readers and commenters of The Unz Review to whom this message applies (you know who you are): Please stop with your Jew obsession. You’re dragging an otherwise outstanding website down into the gutter with your droning dullness and foolishness.
