As long as the circumstances allow for some plausible deniability–even if that plausibility is stretched to the breaking point–it will be forgotten by next weekend’s big sportsball match up:

On the other hand, that it is so easy to get away with likely goes a long way in explaining why it happens infrequently. Because the sword of Damacles can fall with a phone call, the legions of people it hangs over do what they’re expected to.

  1. I’ll tell you what, if some of these drug-addled, sometimes suicidal, crazies who shoot up schools, concerts, etc, could ever get their thoughts together on where the real problems lie … well … we’d be in debt to them big-time.

That’s what everyone thinks but nobody is prepared to say or write online. (If you know what I mean). Would be a shame.

Say or write what, again? Oops I forgot.

You have to walk a fine line. When too many people start dying or disappearing, you get this kind of thing because people can’t ignore it any more:

So you have to make sure that you apply your hand deftly – something that the American elite and intelligence community have learned to do really well. Give it enough time for Kim Kardashian to do something to take the pressure off and then pull off another one. And only do it where the stakes are high enough.

    Peace.

The key for us is to “denormalize” sports, particularly football.

I have to hand it to the NFL for creating a media circus around the spring Draft, which keeps media interest in the sport year round. In a partial way, this may explain the decline of MLB.

I don’t think this is an outrageous hope, Hollywood is declining in quality, along with broadcast/cable TV. There will be a major adjustment when the Marvel franchise runs its course, and Tom Brady and the other legacy white QBs are gone from the NFL.

  6. I lot of “problem people”, like journalists who actually try tn do real journalism, are knocked off; these are reported as accidents or suicides. Car crashes, plane crashes, overdoses, drowning in hot tubs while under the tub’s cover, nail gun accidents, etc. It’s all there if you really look and question the narrative.

A few years ago I’d have thought this was the crazy rambling of a paranoid crank.

Trudeau pledges expansion of first-time home buyers’ initiative, new foreign speculation tax

Trudeau also pledged on Thursday to create a national speculation and vacancy tax of one per cent, which would be levied annually for properties owned by non-Canadians who do not live in the country. (Under the pledge, Canadians living abroad and permanent residents would not be affected.)

Our dark friend isn’t going far enough, but the Conservatives aren’t offering a higher tax, or to slap restrictions on permanent residents.

  10. Jeffrey Epstein killed himself, he was not “knocked off.” You have absolutely no basis for making this claim, no evidence for it, and no authority to pronounce on it, so stop slipping it into the discussion as if it’s common knowledge.

Why Aren’t More People Knocked Off?

That day is probably coming. Even if the left were to form death squads I’m not sure it would create that much news nowadays. It would be presented by the media as ” ‘the people’ stood up to hatred, but went a little overboard.”

It’s amazing how quickly the Epstein story has receded into the background. Remember 6 weeks ago when the Young Turks said AOC would be the ideal person to lead the investigation into his death because of her initial outrage over the matter? And how outraged is she now?

The only thing AOC is good for is to get nude for a magazine spread. She has really nothing else to offer.
