Via Z-Man, more generational survey data to chew on. This one explicitly and almost exclusively focuses on race among those aged 18-34 (mostly millennials but also the leading edge of Gen Z), so I’ll make a tl;dr series of observations on it here.

– Cathy J. Cohen is the founder and principal investigator of the survey, so it’s not particularly surprising that “Latinx” is used throughout in lieu of the more conventional “Hispanic” or “Latino”. Incidentally, the plural of Latinx is “Latinxs” rather than “Latinxes”. I wouldn’t have thought! Taking a cue from Jordan Peterson, “Hispanic” will continue to be used as the description of choice here, though.

Nor is it surprising that in the section asking about which ethnic–yes, (((ethnic))), not racial–groups have the most economic power in the country, “Jews” are not included among the list of potential choices. “Whites” are and they come in on top, followed by Asians.

It’s also unsurprising that the survey deals with sex differences in the following manner. Sample excerpt, my emphasis:

… signaling an important and consequential divide between Millennials that identify as men and women …

However, no variation of the pronoun “Xir” appears in the survey, suggesting that at least one of Cohen’s grandparents is a gentile.

Speaking of identifying, the string “identi”–not counting a single occurrence in the word “presidential”–shows up 29 times in the survey report. The cucks urging those on the right to reject identity politics are doing a tired Rush Limbaugh redux from the nineties. It was quixotic then and it’s suicidal now.

Identitarianism is the future. Find your team now or prepare to be hanged alone in the future.

– A majority–52%–of blacks identify “racism” from a list of 22 possible choices as one of the top three most important problems in the contemporary US, with 29% of blacks identifying it as the single most important problem in the country (health care comes in at a distant second, at 13%).

No matter what happens, this will never end. No amount of prostration to or deification of blacks will mollify them. Transferring trillions more in various welfare programs from non-blacks to blacks won’t do it, either. It’s with us as long as blacks are with us.

Large numbers of Hispanics and Asians–33% and 32%, respectively–also put racism in the top three. All racial problems in the US will continue to accentuate rather than ameliorate as time goes on.

In contrast, the issue of “women’s rights” gets single-digits across the color spectrum, with just 4% of the total survey pool prioritizing it.

“Military strength” is another one that elicits yawns, with only 5% of respondents pointing to it. It’s going to be increasingly difficult for an internal empire of squabbling tribes to maintain a functioning external empire outside its own crumbling borders.

– While there’s scarcely a more reliable social formula than Diversity + Proximity = War, lots of millennials don’t think Diversatopia can come fast enough. Interestingly, whites and blacks–Old Stock Americans–are more wary of increasing Diversity! than the new settlers are:

Pulled directly from the survey–color scheme designed to be unintuitive as Noticing is evil
Pulled directly from the survey–color scheme designed to be unintuitive as Noticing is evil

– While a slight plurality, 23%-19%, of whites think ill of Black Lives Matter, non-whites are supportive. Blacks cheer BLM on 56%-5%. Hispanics and Asians do, too, by respective margins of 27%-10% and 43%-11%. Natural Republicans, those Asians are!

– White support for free speech and non-white opposition to it is a hobby horse of mine, and this survey doesn’t disappoint.

The following graph shows free speech index scores derived from responses to the statement that “All groups should be entitled to hold parades and demonstrations, even if they represent causes most Americans oppose, such as communism, Nazis, or white supremacy”. The index scores are created by assigning +2 points for “strongly agree” responses, +1 point for “somewhat agree”, 0 points for “somewhat disagree”, and -1 point for “strongly disagree”:

– There’s often consternation expressed among media types who report on the rightward shift of white Gen Zers. It’s compounded by the fact that on the chic social issues of the day like same-sex marriage and drug legalization, Zyklons aren’t “conservative” at all. But on issues of identity, they are (in the generally accepted parlance–as Richard Spencer argues, it’s not clear why identitarianism is right or left, it’s simply an inevitable necessity brought on by increasing diversity). They are more so than millennials, Gen Xers, and possibly even Boomers.

When America was over 80% white, special privileges for non-whites weren’t something that effected–and affected–most whites. Only those on the very bottom of society had much to lose. That America is long gone.

In today’s disUnited States of Diversity, white Zyklons are teetering on the edge of minority status. Special privileges for non-whites threatens the prospects of the vast majority of them. They’re reacting accordingly.

To the question “Do you agree or disagree that discrimination against whites has become as big a problem as discrimination against blacks and other minorities?”, whites split almost evenly with 48% agreeing and 51% disagreeing. These responses are mostly from millennials, with a dash of the front end of Gen Z thrown in. I suspect that whites currently in junior high and high school will push that “agree” figure over 50% in the coming years, probably drastically so.

– Individualism is a(n outbred) white thing. The following table shows an individualism index score, by race, computed by taking percentages of respondents who said they are “not very similar” to other members of their own race and subtracting it from the percentages of respondents who said they are “very similar” to other members of their own race. The higher the score, the more individualistic the group:

Race Individualism
Whites +23
Asians +14
Hispanics -11
Blacks -18

If the “Asian” category didn’t amalgamate people as disparate as the Japanese and Sri Lankans, the Asian score would likely move down towards NAM levels.

Diversatopia is necessarily collectivist, lolbertarians be damned.

– Relatedly, while 85% of whites think whites and non-whites “share common problems and can be political allies”, just 49% of non-whites think the same.

That’s right, a slim majority of non-whites think white and non-whites cannot be political allies. Ekow Yankah is speaking on behalf of huge numbers of non-whites.

Political dissolution now or later, then?

It is staggering to me that with all that has taken place in this country over the last 10years that 84% of white millennial think diversity either makes no difference or strengthens the country, and that only half think discrimination against whites is not an issue. I guess what they are taught in school trumps their lying eyes. This is why I am pessimistic. I think whites are slowly waking up to reality but they are waking up too slowly and too many continue to be in denial.

  2. Thank God my 17 year old twin sons are Gen Z. They and nearly all of their classmates are Pro Trump.

I reject the term "Latino" since few of them can speak Latin. As for Hispanic, considering most are a mongrel mix of Spanish, Injun and blacks "Hispaniel" would be more accurate.

  4. Excellent post. Just one stylistic nit to pick: "effected whites" should be "affected whites" in the paragraph approximately 2/3 through the post.

  5. "Transferring trillions more in various welfare programs from blacks to non-blacks won't do it, either."

Surely this was supposed to be worded the other way around.

As a millennial, I feel that it is one of those things where if there is a SHTF moment that their opinion about diversity can flip on a dime. Right now, it is more socially acceptable to be a bugman than a shitlord. That is changing but white millennials are status obsessed and they would rather toe the line if that means avoiding social ostracizing. If there is a moment where race riots break out in the street and there's not a chance that they'll be seen on Facebook on the "wrong side", then you'll be surprised how many of them will turn into racist fascists.

Sadly it's up to Generation Z to save the west. Do they have the will to do what it takes? If so, America has a future. If not, America's future is Brazil with a South African/Zimbabwean twist. I would not look to millennials to come through on anything.

  7. Random Dude, interesting comment. Just surprised that they would not be more honest in an anonymous poll than otherwise.

  8. Anon,

It's hard to sugarcoat how bad that is. There's some solace to be had in the realization that white millennials look to be the native stock's nadir, though.

    Jim,

They are coming of age in an age that needs heroes. Here's to them becoming ones in whatever capacity that manifests itself.

    Whoopie,

Hah! Yeah, Hispanic is a poor proxy for Mestizo/Amerindian, but "Latino" is even more semantically ridiculous.

    Anon,

Thanks, though I really was thinking of being effected–passed over for a college spot, a job, etc. Following closely behind that is their being affected as well, so it's been edited to include both!

    Saint Louis,

    Yikes. Yes, obviously. Thanks.

    Random Dude,

Agreed. I'm a millennial, too, and get the same sense. Millennials are skittish and self-regulating in a way that zyklons don't seem to be. Those born in the late 80s and early 90s seems to be especially prone to social conformity.

    Anon,

They may be less honest than older generations are. Trust in all sorts of institutions is lower among younger cohorts. It's not implausible that some of them are skeptical even of the promised anonymity. Most of the surveys were conducted online, and millennials have had it drilled into them that anything typed up can never truly be erased.

  9. Relatedly, while 85% of whites think whites and non-whites "share common problems and can be political allies", just 49% of non-whites think the same.

    The shiv strikes deep.

No where left to go but Right.

Gen Z will likely continue to move toward self preservation and prioritizing of their self interest (as does every other tribe) but they may not win the day due to a sizable minority of  millennials voting for and collaborating against the self interests of whites.  About the time gen z starts making a significant political impact, the much despised (by the alt right) boomers will be disappearing from the scene and they are the natural allies of gen z as demonstrated by their being the main bloc behind the Trump and Brexit victories. I would like to think that millennials will move further rightward as they age but leftist politics seem now like a religious movement (esp for most uni educated single women) with opposing viewpoints seen as an evil that must be banned and defeated, not understood. Understanding does not lead to purity.

On a positive note, I do think reality is going to increasingly be hard to ignore for whites. I just have my doubts that enough will risk noticing in time to make up for the immigration tidal wave.

  11. > Random Dude, interesting comment. Just surprised that they would not be more honest in an anonymous poll than otherwise.

As AE pointed out, there is a concern that anonymous surveys are not really anonymous. I wouldn't blame them. I probably would have a hard time answering honestly unless I knew for sure that it would be anonymous.

Which isn't to say that there aren't a lot of true believers because they absolutely are but white millennials care first and foremost about making sure that what they do is acceptable to their friends on social media. Whatever gets them likes and upvotes.

In some ways, that helps to facilitate alt right growth because the amount of attention some get on social media could be greater if they embrace the alt right or alt lite rather than being a bugman in a sea of bugmen. However it's still the same echo chamber concept albeit from r/politics to r/the_donald talking about based blacks wearing Trump hats. Since the alt lite is just a gateway to the alt right, it will be a matter of time before they're getting woke about race realism and white genocide. Not in the numbers that I want but sometimes social conformity can work the other way around too if they think there is more to be gained going down that route.

I still don't think the effort is worth it to convert white millennials. Generation Z is the generation we need; if millennials decide to grow a pair of balls, they will eventually join.

  12. " the much despised (by the alt right) boomers will be disappearing from the scene and they are the natural allies of gen z as demonstrated by their being the main bloc behind the Trump and Brexit victories."

Trump actually won white Millennials in some states. In Euro politics, the primary agitators are X-ers and Millennials since Euro Boomers are much more comfortable. Here in America, a lot of people born in the 60's and even 50's are still full of piss and vinegar since when they came of age in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, early Boomers put themselves on a social and financial pedestal that later Boomers are still very resentful of.

Also, Pew sez that Boomers and Millennials were more distressed by the election than X-ers. X-ers simply do not care to involve themselves, from either an ego standpoint or an emotionally competitive standpoint, in political affairs. You can't say the same for Boomers (who all want the world to bend to their every whim) or Millennials (who were taught by Boomer mentors to get involved in as much as possible….as long as it isn't too risky). Boomers well over 50 have been assaulting politicians and engaging in mass murders recently; that's not constructive in the long run, since real progress will require large groups of people to be collectively engaged in a joint mission with realistic long-term tactics and goals. Boomers who still haven't grown up and will always act alone aren't going to cut it. You would think that after 40+ years of adulthood that more Boomers would learn that violence and rage are not an acceptable response to having a bad day (or bad week, or bad month, or bad life….), but here we are with decades of evidence that suggests otherwise.

"In today’s disUnited States of Diversity, white Zyklons are teetering on the edge of minority status. Special privileges for non-whites threatens the prospects of the vast majority of them. They’re reacting accordingly."

And that reaction will come to nothing.

"I suspect that whites currently in junior high and high school will push that “agree” figure over 50% in the coming years, probably drastically so."

And it doesn’t matter. So what if more and more whites realize we’re under attack? We still can’t stop the attacks, which will just keep on coming and coming until we’re rendered extinct. And there’s nothing we can do about it. We’ve already lost, the enemy is unstoppable, and all hope is lost.

"Political dissolution now or later, then?"

More like never, because that was “settled at Appomattox”. Texas v. White, “more perfect Union”, “one nation… indivisible”, et cetera, et cetera. Once you’re part of USA, you’re part of it forever. Non-violent “political dissolution” has been officially ruled Absolutely Forbidden For All Time. And as for violent political dissolution, what makes you think a second Civil War would go any better than the first? Particularly with the changes in warfare and military technology, and lack of clear geographic lines of division (look at a county-level US political map, for one).

  14. Since the Western elite has descended further and further into the nuthouse since the mid-70's, I've become convinced that we need certain extreme events to happen to galvanize us toward driving out unwholesome elements:

    – A full-scale economic collapse that endures for a generation or more
    – A rising and strong adversary which threatens us.

As Western countries dither about with idiotic blank slate driven ideology and ID politics overkill, it's going to Californicate more and more regions of the West, and as each generation becomes less white our ability to withstand braindead PC customs and goals will decline. The dragon of the East, be it Han Chinese or Slavic whites, will eventually sense how defenseless we are and turn it's fiery breath on us. Not necessarily in the form of war, but perhaps in the form of asserting economic control of us. The possibility of a shit-lord army trying to overthrow the most decadent Western elites and governments probably shouldn't be overlooked, either.

Let's not forget that the terrorism, crime, immigration, and poor economic policies of the early 1900's eventually culminated in the 1930's, a decade in which nearly all poor and middle class people wanted to harshly punish both decadent elites and common parasites. While Asians and Eastern Europeans appear to be well on their way to reviving the culture of the 1930's (Russia slaps adults only ratings on movies with gay characters), many middle class Westerners thus far are loath to reverse many aspects of the 1960's-70's cultural revolution; indeed the idolatry of immigrants, fags, and even black criminals seems to be even worse now than it ever was in the 60's-early 2000's. Today's Western upper and even middle class is downright uncouth and glib to a degree that's shocking. Hey, why is it our business what diseases fags spread? Why should we judge an immigrant whose just looking for a better home? Who cares what prole natives think, they're all losers doomed to fail anyway.

It's possible that the non-stop abuse of Slavic and Baltic whites (and nationalist Western whites) for not buying the refugee racket might eventually spur retaliation against Merkel, Soros, et al, with this becoming more likely in the event of civic and economic instability. Eastern Germany already lustily booed Merkel before the recent election.

  15. MyComment,

That's one reason it seems political dissolution is inevitable.

    Random Dude,

Exactly. Millennials aren't going to do any trailblazing. If they want to follow the pioneers, great, but they're not going to be leading the way.

    Feryl,

Boomercentric, is that an acceptable neologism for the boomer tendency to think that universe always has and always will revolve around them?

    twistedone151,

Few saw the collapse of the Soviet Union coming, and then it was swept away like dust in the wind. Brexit was unthinkable a decade ago. There's no stomach among SWPLs for military action against red regions that want to peacefully part political ways. The idea that a Waco at the state level would be tolerated in the Current Year is extremely unlikely.

  16. To clarify: Something like Waco but instead of a couple hundred religious sect members, the population of an entire state or group of states.

  17. What I found interesting is that whites put their racial identity in their top 3 identities more often than their american nationality. Considering white identity has been attacked much more vigorously than the other, this is a good sign, despite the fact that it was still only a minority of whites who listed it.

Also interesting to note is that blacks had more support for the alt-right than whites did (6% to 4%), though perhaps this is down to sampling error or some other confounding factor.

  18. Those who think current trends can continue are surely unaware of their true scale. We also have a problem with grasping trend length. The trend that is nearing apogee goes back to before the Industrial Revolution, and so drawing conclusions about what occurred in the 1860's and applying them to today is a category error (or a degree-of-trend error, perhaps.)

We're sailing into a period of change not seen since the 1700's (at least.) The evidence of this is found in the astonishing delusions that became Popular Madness these past 60 years. When we compare the amplitude of collective delusion now to prior iterations, this one frankly is beyond measure. From an analytical perspective, parallels to this behavior are found in commodity markets, where perceived shortage drives massive price spikes immediately before a massive market reversal. It is thus plain to me that the double-redouble-redouble exponential growth of Leftist Lunacy strongly suggests this is the END of leftism's centuries-long rally, and that social mood will dictate a massive reversal and "bear market for leftism" for quite some time to come.

This renders essentially 100% of all analysis of history irrelevant, because under different conditions, the same (perceived) inputs produce radically different outputs.

  19. Milan,

I don't know how I missed that. Thanks a million, that table is hugely important! Going to do a stand alone post on it.

  20. "There's no stomach among SWPLs for military action against red regions that want to peacefully part political ways."

But the "cold war" of pushing white traditionalists further and further into the shadows, and encouraging unhinged liberals to to on the attack, and encouraging the dark hordes to remain sullen, rages on. This is all the culmination of 100+ years of Western innovation in propaganda and manipulation, and nobody does it better than the US whose spook outfits got the ball rolling during the first couple world wars. We don't "officially" imprison or attack dissident voices; we don't have open warfare between different ideologies or ethnic groups. Rather, we embarrass and deny status to traditionalists, and make them an acceptable target for harassment and shunning.

Western elites and their patrons who run our biggest institutions and conglomerates have a near universal disdain for the concept of the nation-state, and the tribe. They begrudgingly go along with certain non-white nations and peoples for reasons of expediency or just plain inertia (Saudi Arabia), not to mention saving face (again, Saudi Arabia), regardless of how mono-cultural and ethnic these places may be. Then again, cultural Marxism being what it is, perhaps they feel that it's not their place to further "oppress" non-whites by demanding that they accept foreigners.

There's also sheer pettiness to take into account WRT countries we don't get along with; The Pentagon still hates Russia, Iran, and North Korea for the reality and/or perception that Westerners/neo-liberal democracy spreaders have never been able to get a seat at the table for very long in these places. As Agnostic often points out, after WW2 we became delusionally convinced of our power and righteousness, and post-WW2 military leaders with each passing generation seem to have grown more entitled and vainglorious about trying to do what no other Western nation has ever done. Unique is China, in that the bean counters adore the country's sweat shops and have laboriously went to great pains to insure that the US's foreign and economic policies kiss major Chinaman ass. Russia and Iran are never going to be the world's factory, and N Korea is too weird and small to be as useful as China. Meanwhile, we stay on pretty good terms with countries like the Phillipines and Japan, basically so we can use them as guard towers from which to monitor China and Russia. Morally or culturally, our foreign policy really makes no sense; it's all driven by greed, paranoia, and arrogance. The US has become a bully blundering about, that's even refused to make a good faith and large scale alliance with Russia to stop the terror of Islam.

WRT Boomers, they are by far the most competitive generation, who still feel obligated to try and match the perceived greatness of what Lincoln and WW2 G.I.s did. You see it in how sports obsessed they get. Thing is, many of them are blinded by blank slatism ("it's not the people, it's who leads them or oppresses them") and arrogance. These problems didn't start with Boomers, but they certainly have gotten worse over the years.

  21. It's going to be up to later Gen x-ers and Millennials to sheepishly say, "I just don't know if we can do that", to reform our foreign policies. Silents, Boomers, and even some early X-ers think they've got a way to bring laser focus to our tactics and goals, for the ultimate and rather idealistic quest to make:

    – The US number one
    – Get more countries totally invested in multi-culturalism and neo-liberalism (both of which are the greatest ideological movements to emerge from the New World since WW2)

People born after the early 70's are so ashamed of how horrible the US has acted since the early 90's that they have a healthy degree of modesty about what America is, what America is capable of, and why we need to get off our damn high horse.

  22. Feryl,

It's going to be up to later Gen x-ers and Millennials to sheepishly say, "I just don't know if we can do that"

Or we'll simply be too broke to sustain it. The US dollar stops being the world's reserve currency and the American military empire is toast.

  23. "Thank God my 17 year old twin sons are Gen Z. They and nearly all of their classmates are Pro Trump."

It's a phase. They LOVE his bravado. The young men whom I know who voted for him universally did so because they were "anti-Hillary", and not what he touted politically. What he stands for, well, that has changed over the past 20 years as he caters to the crowd. Remember, he is an elitist showman. And the multiple investigations conducted by Mueller and company will certainly expose his masquerading as a "man of the people".
