Texas and Georgia are going to be the first states in the country where whites vote heavily one way but end up being ruled by governors and represented by senators who come from the opposition to that voting, something that has never happened at the state level in the nation’s history so far as I’m aware.

Whites in New England and the West Coast vote Democrat. While there are intra-party tensions in those places, political divisions don’t map directly onto racial divisions like they do in the South. Gavin Newsome and Andrew Cuomo have something to lose if they stick it to whites in their states. In Stacey Abrams’ Georgia, that’s not the case. She isn’t coy about her electoral plans, either. She advocates for a new Democrat strategy that makes an end run around whites and appeals directly and without apology to people of color. That strategy is about to bear fruit. Non-whites in Georgia have been voting blue but getting red for decades. They can hardly be blamed for wanting to turn the tables to have statewide representation of their own for once.

If net white approval gave the state to Trump and negative net white approval gave it to Biden, Trump would comfortably win the Electoral College, though his margin would be smaller than it was in 2016:

Biden isn’t going to interact directly with Trump at all. Tactically, it’s all risk and no reward for the Biden campaign to do so. Corporate media will spin Biden’s strategic cowering as a statesmanlike demonstration of self-restraint in the face of a resurgent coronavirus. Expect them to talk about what a selfless sacrifice this is for Biden to make for the good of the country since he is a more accomplished and experienced debater than Trump, and so would beat the president in the debates if they were allowed to happen. They’re that shameless.

  1. Whites in New England… vote Democrat.

Plenty of us don’t, but it makes no difference, except hyper-locally on occasion.

    We…

… vote heavily one way but end up being ruled by governors and represented by senators who come from the opposition to that voting…

We feel this all the time.

Most of the United States is purple, but there have to be winners and losers, so it makes a difference which shade of purple your environs are.

That happens regularly in New Mexico and happened in the Arizona Senate race in 2018. However in both states while white lean Republican they don’t do so by much so they can’t alienate whites too much. Keep in mind that the people most into anti-white rhetoric are college educated whites, most non-white people and almost all non-white-non-clack people like whites.

The sample size in the Civiqs poll also allows you to get the results for whites with different education levels. It’s interesting bu there’s nothing too surprising.

The white working class in those states have become disillusioned with Trump. Their lives have not really improved over the last four years as the Republicans have continued their standard procedure of running the country for the benefit of Wall Street and the military-industrial complex.

The Republicans need the white working class in these states. Several of them would be in the Republican column except they have large Democrat cities. If you took Chicago out of Illinois and Detroit out of Michigan those states would be Republican. I live in Indiana. Indiana usually votes Republican because the largest Democrat city, Indianapolis, is not quite large enough to swing elections. You need the small town and rural working class whites to offset the Democrat votes delivered by these large urban areas.

This is the problem with “Managed Decline”. A sophisticated (yes, yes, I know) voter appreciates that a lack of reduction in immigration is actually a step forward because the alternative was a hyperbolic curve, but how do you explain it to the small town working man who’s daughter is now dating a Mexican, an issue that didn’t even exist ten years ago in his small town?

Blame Amendment XVII. Yeah, it’s been a century, but amendments are coming home to roost, or something.

That explains the Senators, but not the Governors. Governor Abbot in Texas started off pretty well in representing his state.

Many White New Englanders have done well for themselves from the asset bubbles in stocks and bonds and real estate electronically created by the privately-controlled Federal Reserve Bank and they think that the newly forming anti-White Democrat Party will spare their loot pile while going after the White Core Americans of modest means with accusations of racism and anti-Semitism and the like.

So everything must be seen through the lens of race first, and loyalty must be to race at all times. That pretty much does away with a E Pluribus Unim as a concept and reveals a concerted effort to turn America into the Balkans so that a few politicians can gain and keep elective sinecures and the economic class wielding the most power can remain out of public view.

  12. AWM says:

The fact that 90+% of Georgia’s white population doesn’t vote straight republican is just the needed example of how effective the Marxists have been. Many of the whites in the big cities have been indoctrinated to “go along to get along” and slightly more than half vote for their own interest.

A large percentage in the countryside just vote the way the TV tells them to vote, although a slim majority sees through the scam(s) and at least divides their vote between local Dems and national Repubs, with even fewer voting straight Republican.

Even worse is the suburbs, with white government workers voting overwhelmingly in favor of the Dems, while the private industry white employees vote strongly Republican, but with a lot of defectors to the gov worker side in “mixed” white marriages, typically a construction worker married (until divorce) to a schoolteacher. Even when it is a Cop married to a schoolteacher, typically the Cop will vote with his wife, but against his own interests (again, till divorce).
It is actually not unlike the Black “conservative” voting Dem because he doesn’t want the chance of having to support his mostly dependent extended family members.

One fellow told me you can always tell the government workers, as their kids drive newer vehicles to high school than the private sector workers drive to work.

Georgia will go Dem in 2024, 2026, or 2028 at the latest for absolutely sure.
Never never never ever doubt the “power” of Santa Clause.

This is a good description of the suburbs. The suburbs used to be more heavily Republican but as the number of higher wage government workers have increased they have become more Democrat. The problem with this is that the paychecks of the government workers come from the taxes of the non-government workers. That tax base is shrinking. We have increased unemployment rates but almost no one who works for government has lost their job. It's mostly been in the private sector.

I wrote this in August of 2019 about Stacy Abrams and the Democrat Party and Whites:

The Democrat Party is sprinting towards the Tower of Babel.

The Democrat Party is shoving aside White Males and running towards multicultural mayhem.

Stacey Abrams is as happy as a butcher’s dog about driving WHITE MALES out of the Democrat Party.

Stacey Abrams is as happy as a butcher’s dog to take money from WHITE MALE plutocrat globalizer donors.

    HYPOCRISY!

    New York Times 2015:

WASHINGTON — For nearly a century, Democrats have honored two men as the founders of their party: Thomas Jefferson, for his visionary expression of the concept of equality, and Andrew Jackson, for his populist spirit and elevation of the common man.

Political candidates and activists across the country have flocked to annual Jefferson-Jackson Day dinners, where speeches are given, money is raised, and the party celebrates its past and its future.

Stacey Abrams, the minority leader of the Georgia House, said that the state party stripped Jefferson and Jackson from the name of the dinner to tell “the entire story of our party.”

“The best political parties are ones that reflect their core values and celebrate their members,” she said.

This is basically true. White Trump voters are the people who the "meritocracy" left behind. A combination of low IQ whites in flyover states, middling IQ older white men who are resentful they never got what they "deserved" (because they just weren't that talented), young white incels and a random sprinkling of high IQ aspergery weirdos like Scott Adams who have convinced themselves that Trump reacting to stimuli is actually 5d chess. And of course grifters like Mnuchin who are just in it for the money. It's not a great base because Trump is unable to attract the best and the brightest, and the ugliness and "loser" taint of his supporters makes even fairly reasonable policies Trump tries to put through - immigration control, opposition to political correctness, reducing American interventionism - unpalatable to normal succesful conservatives. This is why Trump is inadvertently pushing the country much further to the left than Hillary would have been able to do.

Texas and Georgia are going to be the first states in the country where whites vote heavily one way but end up being ruled by governors and represented by senators who come from the opposition to that voting, something that has never happened at the state level in the nation’s history so far as I’m aware.

That happens regularly in New Mexico and happened in the Arizona Senate race in 2018. However in both states while white lean Republican they don't do so by much so they can't alienate whites too much. Keep in mind that the people most into anti-white rhetoric are college educated whites, most non-white people and almost all non-white-non-clack people like whites.

The sample size in the Civiqs poll also allows you to get the results for whites with different education levels. It's interesting bu there's nothing too surprising.

  23. Whites in New England and the West Coast vote Democrat.

Many of the Whites in New England who vote for the Democrat Party are GREEDY WHITE GEEZERS who have made out like bandits from the asset bubbles in stocks and bonds and real estate that the privately-controlled Federal Reserve Bank has created by means of monetary extremism. These White New Englanders are fat and happy and they think this new form of economic globaloney financial nonsense some wags call Central Banker Shysterism is just fine because they have gotten many of the ill-gotten gains from it.

The Republicans in New England are so treasonous and rancid that it makes voting for the Democrat Party very easy for the Greedy White Geezers.

Joe Biden used the AUNT JEMIMA STRATEGY to win the Democrat Party presidential primary and Joe Biden will use the GREEDY WHITE GEEZER STRATEGY to win the presidency.

The GREEDY WHITE GEEZER appellation needs further explication.

I wrote this in December of 2019 about GREEDY WHITE GEEZERS:

The vast majority of Greedy White Geezers born before 1965 in the USA are confirmed Mammonites who sold out their children and grandchildren for some scraps of the asset bubbles in stocks, bonds and real estate that the JEW/WASP ruling class of the American Empire cooked up.

Greedy White Geezers born before 1965 kept their greedy mouths shut about nation-wrecking mass legal immigration and mass illegal immigration because they were bought off like common three dollar whores.

The two-party totalitarian system in the USA will most likely throw up a baby boomer slob named Trump who wants to flood the USA with mass legal immigration “in the largest numbers ever” and who also refuses to deport the upwards of 30 million illegal alien invaders in the USA and a geezer named Joe Biden even more geezier than the baby boomer geezer named Trump who also pushes mass legal immigration and mass illegal immigration.

Trump will be 74 on election day — November 3 of 2020 — and Biden will be 77.

The only answer to the treason and rancidness of the Greedy White Geezers born before 1965 is to financially liquidate them electronically. At the top of a cliff, if someone asks you the quickest way down the mountain, it is generally considered bad manners to point over the edge of the cliff and motion with your pointer finger that way, but, bad manners be damned, the quickest way to electronically liquidate the Greedy White Geezers born before 1965 would be to raise the federal funds rate to 20 percent.

Young White Core Americans would benefit immensely from a complete and total implosion of the asset bubbles in stocks, bonds and real estate and the young White Core Americans could also permanently remove all remnants of the JEW/WASP ruling class of the American Empire from the USA and make sure they are never allowed to visit or enter any other European Christian nation or region ever again.

I say Biden wraps up the Democrat Party nomination on March 3 and that will precipitate a mass movement of voters and support to abandon the Biden-led Democrat Party and head for the greener pastures of the Green Party.

Trump’s weakness and treason will see a similar mass movement of European Christian Americans to cease their support for baby boomer mass legal immigration extremist Trump and the rancid Republican Party. These European Christian Americans will tell the Jew billionaire donors who control the Republican Party to go to Hell and they will vote for and support the new political party called White Core America.

The unavoidable Civil War II will be racial and religious and inter-generational and sectional and regional and state by state and it has only been held off by the evil and wicked monetary extremism of the privately-controlled Federal Reserve Bank.

What would the GDP be without a trillion dollars a year in conjured up cash?

What would happen to the asset bubbles in stocks, bonds and real estate if the federal funds rate were to return to the normal level of 6 percent?

What happens when the young stupid White boneheads figure out that they have been played for suckers and saps by Greedy White Geezers born before 1965?

  24. Do you remember 2018, where votes in what had been reliable Republican congressional districts kept being found and counted until the Dems won? That was a test run for 2020. Mail-in and even e-balloting would make a Dem sweep a certainty, regardless of how whites vote.

What gets me is Repubes thinking they can throw Trump under the bus and come back to take the WH in 2024; what the Repubes lose in 2020 they will never see again. Ever.

I say that Biden will debate Trump.

Biden will be elected and all the underlings in the Democrat Party will go bananas with all the power that Biden will delegate to them.

The Delaware Delagator will be the president for the beginning of Civil War II and debt and demography will cause Civil War II to break out.

That young lady AOC from up the Hudson from New York and her monetary extremism ideas will get a lot of White dopes thinking about why they shouldn't get ten thousand dollars a month and the evil and immoral treasonites in the Republican Party will screech on about whatever Shelly Adelson wants them to go on about.

I have at least three ancestors who fought in the American Colonial Secessionary War from the British Empire and I say that the Republican Party must be completely and totally destroyed electorally.

That's the problem AFTER the Clinton AWB expired. With NO AR imports everything had to be domestically sourced. AR-15s were the market, 9mm, 5.56mm, some AR-10s. Once you were satiated with those there were some DSA FALS, PTRs and toss in some pricey Steyr AUGs and some built from parts AKMs, that's pretty much it.

If Trump would lift the GHWB import ban on imported assault rifles, it would usher in a new era of the exotic can't have assault rifles. With Jared and Ivanka telling POTUS what to do, apparently gun people can't get anything.

    (1) Non-white population percentage.

    (3) “Immigrant” population percentage (approximated by Asians+Hispanics).

    (4) Black population percentage.

British Londoners have become much more supportive of "diversity" for the same reason. The portion who dislike it most, have run away.

Does anyone know of a study measuring the correlation of white support for republicans with population density, by county? I suspect this correlation may beat the so called black hypothesis by county.

States like Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts have very divided internal politics which are highly correlated with population density, and all are above 80% white, with Maine and New Hampshire both over 95%. Vermont somewhat bucks this trend, a phenomenon I can only attribute to its proximity to New York (like Western Massachusetts, which votes blue, but is white-rural).

You should do an analysis with the rioting. I looked at a national protest map and saw very few in heavily Mexican areas. Also, it seems that the most violent white rioting is occurring in areas with few blacks, e.g. Portland and Seattle.

It wouldn't surprise me, however, if white rioting and Asian immigration were correlated as well, because Asian immigration seems to go hand in hand with real estate/rent inflation, which I think is the major underlying cause of the unrest.

    (4) Black population percentage ... 21 states plus DC have a black pop. % of more than 10%, or enough to be considered a serious societal problem in destructively low human capital terms, from the perspective of non-blacks.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_African-American_population

14 of these voted for Trump in 2016, 8 for Clinton.

Let me add (5) Jewish population percentage ... Coincidentally, 21 states plus DC have a Jewish pop. % of more than 1%, or enough to be considered a serious societal problem in oppressively high human capital terms, from the perspective of Gentiles.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Jews

16 of these voted for Clinton, 6 for Trump.

Of the 13 "lucky" states with both more than 10% blacks and 1% Jews (Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia), 8 voted for Clinton, 5 for Trump.

The 9 heavily black (more than 10%) but lightly Jewish (less than 1%) states all voted for Trump. Conversely, the 9 heavily Jewish but lightly black states voted 8 for Clinton and 1 for Trump (Arizona).

So Leftist blacks tend to push the non-black Gentile (NBG) population to the Right, while Leftist Jews tend to pull the NBGs to the Left. In states heavy with both Jews and blacks, the Jews generally have more pull.

Of the 20 states with both less than 10% blacks and 1% Jews, 15 voted for Trump and 5 for Clinton. From Alaska and Hawaii to New Hampshire and West Virginia, these are the NBG states, mostly white, but also Hispanic, Asian, American Indian and Pacific Islander.

These NBG states mostly lean Right, with the notable exceptions of Hawaii and New Mexico, where whites are a minority, and Vermont, where Jews are on the cusp of 1% (0.96%). The non-whites in the NBG coaltion seem to need a white majority, or at least a plurality, to coalesce around or they will defect to the black-Jewish Left.

The best states in which to live from a long-term Rightist (as opposed to Leftist and not necessarily Republican) perspective, and whether inside or out of the United States, are those with a solid white majority and a declining percentage of Jews. The fact that the percentage of whites is declining everywhere is a very dark cloud, but the declining percentage of Jews is a bit of a silver lining.

    , @Audacious Epigone

The Census provides foreign-born population figures by state. At-a-glance guess: The black percentage correlates with white approval of Trump, the Hispanic/foreign-born population inversely so, and the non-white percentage doesn't correlate much at all because blacks and non-white non-blacks negate one another.

The counter will be that Scots-Irish highlanders in the South, Puritans in the northeast and West Coast, and Teutons/Scandinavians in the upper midwest are distinct groups of whites.

  42. well, we agree there won’t be any debates. not sure if this will set a precedent or not. possibly in the future when the democrat is well ahead with 4 to 5 months to go, as they always will be from now on, they may always skip the debates. or that is to say, general election debates could become a thing of the past. the democrat candidate doesn’t have to pay any attention to any republican ever again.

i do think it would be humorous in the 2030s or so for the democrat to entertain one ‘debate’ with the republican and instead of debating him at all, literally just call him a poopoo doodoo head on national television, insult him to his face, ignore all his questions, and then walk out early. that will really drive home how the country is over and the republican party in the 2030s is where the libertarian party is today. just a bunch of clowns, treated as clowns.

Stacy Abrams is honest and that's refreshing in politics.

That's useful data. I bet if you did a population-weighted cross-correlation with the demographics of each state, you'd get something very interesting. Four variables to explore might be:

    (1) Non-white population percentage.

    (2) Hispanic population percentage.

    (3) "Immigrant" population percentage (approximated by Asians+Hispanics).

    (4) Black population percentage.

Back in 2011, I'd done this same sort of analysis for exit-polling of whites in the five preceding presidential elections and gotten some extremely striking results:

The Hispanic hypothesis doesn’t take into account the white exodus that seems to occur when an area becomes the destination for huge (very often Hispanic) in-migration.

British Londoners have become much more supportive of “diversity” for the same reason. The portion who dislike it most, have run away.

Those who choose to remain in areas that have become far more diverse, have much less of a strong preference for community. Who’d have known?

As an area becomes “diverse,” anti-immigration whites move away and are replaced by whites from more liberal areas.

I have witnessed this in my region (a very affluent portion of an upper Southern state) as well as elsewhere (Colorado comes to mind). My state has gone from solidly red to purple to now reliably blue in 10-15 years. The incoming “diversity” during that time has been largely immigrants and thus unable to vote (for now), so what turned the politics has been a huge infusion of whites from NY/NJ and CA.

Meanwhile, last year, for the first time, more people moving from my county went to other states (mostly to two more southerly and conservative states) than to the less dense populated areas of my state, as had been the case in the past. It’s a conservative white flight.

That’s the problem AFTER the Clinton AWB expired. With NO AR imports everything had to be domestically sourced. AR-15s were the market, 9mm, 5.56mm, some AR-10s. Once you were satiated with those there were some DSA FALS, PTRs and toss in some pricey Steyr AUGs and some built from parts AKMs, that’s pretty much it.

It wouldn’t surprise me, however, if white rioting and Asian immigration were correlated as well, because Asian immigration seems to go hand in hand with real estate/rent inflation, which I think is the major underlying cause of the unrest.

I think there is a connection in low Hispanic voter turnout and their lack of participation in riots. They are apathetic about politics and political movements. They vote Democrat for the handouts more than anything. My impression is most are not inspired by Black Lives Matter and many don't like blacks. They aren't going to riot on their behalf. From the charts I have seen here and elsewhere blacks think of Hispanics as their natural allies (they are more pro-immigration than Hispanics themselves!) but Hispanics don't feel the same way towards blacks.

When blacks tried to loot stores in Chicago Hispanic neighborhoods the Hispanics were not enthusiastic about it to say the least.

    (4) Black population percentage … 21 states plus DC have a black pop. % of more than 10%, or enough to be considered a serious societal problem in destructively low human capital terms, from the perspective of non-blacks.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_African-American_population

14 of these voted for Trump in 2016, 8 for Clinton.

Let me add (5) Jewish population percentage … Coincidentally, 21 states plus DC have a Jewish pop. % of more than 1%, or enough to be considered a serious societal problem in oppressively high human capital terms, from the perspective of Gentiles.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Jews

16 of these voted for Clinton, 6 for Trump.

Of the 13 “lucky” states with both more than 10% blacks and 1% Jews (Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia), 8 voted for Clinton, 5 for Trump.

Do you mean Chicago specifically or Chicagoland? From my vantage point, the suburbs have become more liberal/progressive and less white in the past 20 years or so. The Patels bought the Bundys house in Schaumburg about 15 years ago…

    Replies: @Justvisiting, @Jay Fink

I think there is a connection in low Hispanic voter turnout and their lack of participation in riots. They are apathetic about politics and political movements. They vote Democrat for the handouts more than anything. My impression is most are not inspired by Black Lives Matter and many don’t like blacks. They aren’t going to riot on their behalf. From the charts I have seen here and elsewhere blacks think of Hispanics as their natural allies (they are more pro-immigration than Hispanics themselves!) but Hispanics don’t feel the same way towards blacks.

When blacks tried to loot stores in Chicago Hispanic neighborhoods the Hispanics were not enthusiastic about it to say the least.

most owners aren’t very diligent about keeping their houses painted.

There is a reason for that.

Property taxes are very high throughout New England, and a run-down looking house/small storefront business keeps the tax assessment low.

When the homeowner wants to sell they will often spend thousands of dollars sprucing the place up--the new higher taxes will have to be paid by the new owner!

The fact that 90+% of Georgia's white population doesn't vote straight republican is just the needed example of how effective the Marxists have been. Many of the whites in the big cities have been indoctrinated to "go along to get along" and slightly more than half vote for their own interest.

A large percentage in the countryside just vote the way the TV tells them to vote, although a slim majority sees through the scam(s) and at least divides their vote between local Dems and national Repubs, with even fewer voting straight Republican.

Even worse is the suburbs, with white government workers voting overwhelmingly in favor of the Dems, while the private industry white employees vote strongly Republican, but with a lot of defectors to the gov worker side in "mixed" white marriages, typically a construction worker married (until divorce) to a schoolteacher. Even when it is a Cop married to a schoolteacher, typically the Cop will vote with his wife, but against his own interests (again, till divorce).
It is actually not unlike the Black "conservative" voting Dem because he doesn't want the chance of having to support his mostly dependent extended family members.

One fellow told me you can always tell the government workers, as their kids drive newer vehicles to high school than the private sector workers drive to work.

Georgia will go Dem in 2024, 2026, or 2028 at the latest for absolutely sure.

So this is about the “gear queer” wanna be sidewalk commandos?

The civilian marketplace is NOT the military marketplace. Civilians want stuff that's different from "this-your-rifle-and-it's-the-only-one-you-need." They might want something BETTER than GI.

"Prior to the Clinton ban, I had Galil ARM, Sig AMT, Valmet M series, Daewoo, H&K, LARs among many “assault rifles” and subsequently sold all that junk"

Almost all military-lineage weapons adopted by SOME military and so not "junk," it just didn't fit your needs.

"If you want “exotic” buy KAC."

That's the whole point; in order to to have "assault rifles" here in the USA, they have to be MADE in the USA to be legal. That ups the cost of anything that deviates from your standard AR-15. A foreign made "assault rifle" has a ready made factory production line that doesn't have to be duplicated here in the USA. A USA made AK or converted from an import is going to cost MORE. Plus many foreign rifles, for example bullpups, will probably have insufficient sale potential to risk investing in domestic production.

Lifting the GHWB ban on imported assault rifles is a WINNER for the USA consumer and gives Trump something concrete he could sell to gun owners.

With all the crappy foreign MIM parts flooding the market, I can’t imagine how bad it would be with “bathtub” manufacture ChiComs importing complete junk rifles,

    No.

Trade disputes with the United States

In 1993, the import of most Norinco firearms and ammunition into the United States was blocked under new trade rules when China's permanent normal trade relations status was renewed. The prohibition did not apply to sporting shotguns or shotgun ammunition, however. In 1994, U.S. Customs agents conducted a sting operation named Operation Dragon Fire against Atlanta-based importers of Norinco firearms as well as Poly Technologies. Seven officials were arrested after agreeing to smuggle 2,000 fully automatic Chinese-made AK-47s to undercover agents the officials believed may have been connected to the mafia. At least one official, Hammond Ku, attempted to sell Chinese-produced tanks and rocket launchers to the undercover agents.[17][18]

In August 2003, the Bush Administration imposed sanctions on Norinco for allegedly selling missile-related goods to Iran.[19] These sanctions led to a prohibition on imports into the US of the remaining types of firearms and ammunition not covered by the 1993 ban.[20][21]

Handguns are NOT prohibited from import except for some size and so-called "safety" features.

Did US handgun manufacture DIE and everything become an import? Do you feel better off that you can a obtain a tremendous variety of handguns or do you feel oppressed because a US gun maker died because they were unable to sell their product? "Olympic Arms" was a a well known make of AR-15s and they out of business.

Remember the Gun Control Act of 1968? US firearm manufacturers made EXACTLY the same argument to prohibit the import of military-surplus firearms and they WON. So the US government prohibited the import of mil-surplus guns. Was the US consumer better off because of this? Are consumers better off with the Dole Amendment allowing some surplus used guns in?

Lifting the GHWB ban on assault rifles is a win for the US consumers; that's ALL of us. We'll get increased variety, more guns in the hands of civilians, more guns to supply aftermarket accessories and it's just plain American. "Freedom of Choice."

A couple of key points from Trump's campaign:
-- Creation of technically complex manufacturing jobs
-- Reducing/Ending H1B/OPT (finally actioned, but better late than never)

Complex blue-collar manufacturing may not require a degree, but it does require intelligence to set-up and maintain the programmable machines. Sufficient math to understand statistical process control is required to produce consistent, high quality output.

By definition -- H1B/OPT is for intelligent, university graduates. Especially important for graduates that have been pushed out of STEM information technology jobs.

He’s not in thrall to anyone. You still haven’t realized that Trump is just a grifter. He wants your money and your vote and he will say whatever he needs to to get them. He is not giving you anything, and he’s not going to interrupt a golf game or sacrifice an opportunity to license a hotel in Riyadh just so white working class people can live better.

It still boggles my mind that anyone old enough to remember Trump in the 80s and 90s, or listened to him on Howard Stern, can believe this spoiled brat could transform himself into Presidential material.

    Wrong…

A couple of key points from Trump’s campaign:
    — Creation of technically complex manufacturing jobs
    — Reducing/Ending H1B/OPT (finally actioned, but better late than never)

Complex blue-collar manufacturing may not require a degree, but it does require intelligence to set-up and maintain the programmable machines. Sufficient math to understand statistical process control is required to produce consistent, high quality output.

By definition — H1B/OPT is for intelligent, university graduates. Especially important for graduates that have been pushed out of STEM information technology jobs.

    No.

Trade disputes with the United States

In 1993, the import of most Norinco firearms and ammunition into the United States was blocked under new trade rules when China’s permanent normal trade relations status was renewed.

Removal of the import ban would in all inevitability lead to the transfer of manufacturing to Second and Third World countries.

There is no logical reason why the AR-15 must be built in the United States.

How is security of the U.S. helped by outsourcing?
How is the employment of U.S. citizens helped by outsourcing?

Buyers are not limiting their purchases based on price, so the dubious advantage of lower cost is not really an issue. There are options at a number of different price points depending on your needs. The cost of ammo is likely a much larger life time expense versus the initial purchase price of the weapon.

Now that the industry has adapted itself to the current import restrictions, there is no good reason to change them in a major way.
    ____

If you want to discuss an exception process for specific one-off exotics that fall outside the U.S manufacturing spectrum, I would be willing to listen to that kind of tweak to the laws and regulations.

If we are to have a change in the near future, sound suppressors need to be made easily available. They are hardly "silencers". Unfortunately, the Hearing Protection Act did not make it.... Again... (2)

Already we can prospectively link the collapse of Remington, not to the lawsuits and loss of government contracts,

The lawsuit risk screwed up their financing, but that was not their biggest problem.

Remington's biggest failure was poor management trying to outsource production: (1)

Robert Nardelli of Chrysler, who Cerberus Capital Management installed as the CEO about two years before that company filed for bankruptcy.
    ...
Remington started to cut costs by making cheap components and outsourcing labor and parts to the cheapest bidders. The quality was downgraded so more money could be made–at least that was the idea, but, as any gun guy or gal could have told you, it predictably backfired and these changes, in my opinion, have done irreparable damage to the brand.

All of their more expensive models took a dive in quality. Outsourcing and the associated poor quality damaged Remington's reputation.

Remington began losing to everybody in every market. When you have lower quality than 3rd world importers, doom is close at hand.

Handguns are NOT prohibited from import except for some size and so-called “safety” features.

Did US handgun manufacture DIE and everything become an import? Do you feel better off that you can a obtain a tremendous variety of handguns or do you feel oppressed because a US gun maker died because they were unable to sell their product? “Olympic Arms” was a a well known make of AR-15s and they out of business.

Lifting the GHWB ban on assault rifles is a win for the US consumers; that’s ALL of us. We’ll get increased variety, more guns in the hands of civilians, more guns to supply aftermarket accessories and it’s just plain American. “Freedom of Choice.”

The Census provides foreign-born population figures by state. At-a-glance guess: The black percentage correlates with white approval of Trump, the Hispanic/foreign-born population inversely so, and the non-white percentage doesn’t correlate much at all because blacks and non-white non-blacks negate one another.

The counter will be that Scots-Irish highlanders in the South, Puritans in the northeast and West Coast, and Teutons/Scandinavians in the upper midwest are distinct groups of whites.

Sure. Just eye-balling the table, that's what I saw as well. It would be interesting to see whether the correlations had changed from the ones I got in my own analysis, but with the election so close, it makes sense to just used the much more solid exit-polls.

There are obviously all sorts of other possible explanations, but if the more immigrants a state has, the more the local whites disapprove of Trump, that suggests my point about the difference between an "organic" and a "synthetic" political issue.

Here's an analogy I've been making to right-wingers for something like twenty years...

Back in 1968, George Wallace ran on "racially charged" issues. Suppose his support among whites had been overwhelming in states like Vermont and Idaho, which had few blacks, but his white support had been low in heavily-black states like Mississippi, Alabama, and South Carolina. What would that suggest about the nature of the issues he was using?...
  92. @Usura
    @Ron Unz
