Bernie Sanders supporters are right now as angry and uncooperative as they’re going to get. Time heals all wounds and in seven months most will have remembered nothing is more important than defeating Donald Trump. After all, that’s what Sanders kept telling them–when he wasn’t talking about how great a guy his good friend Joe Biden is. Only a minority of Sanders supporters said the Vermont Senator should not endorse Joe Biden for president when polled earlier this week, days before Sanders formally did so:

This same survey pool, including the Democrat primary voters who thought Sanders should’ve refrained from endorsing Biden, found Biden beating Trump by 5 points in November.

There will be no split at the Milwaukee virtual convention. Most Sanders supporters will fall in line as Sanders himself did. It would be -ist not to.

  1. Given the unemployment rate, an inanimate carbon rod could beat Trump in November. Trump needed to go ape-shit on the governor’s unconstitutional lockdowns. He shoud have countermandered them; he has adequate constitutional and statutory authority to do so. But he lacked the vision or cajones to take up the sword to defend his voters from the hystrionic ravages of the poz-filled “elite” which governs this country. And he will therefore fall in the general ruin which will afflict us in November. Get ready for President Alzheimers, to be rapidly succeeded by President Abrams, and then the most insidious enactment of Racial Communism the world has ever known…

Or he could just carpe diem to MAGA, and enact the platform he ran on: border control, re-shoring industry, rebuilding infrastructure, etc. He has adequate constitutional and statutory authority for that too. Then he doesn't need to countermand anything. Once Dem govs see him doing MAGA, they'll deny there ever was a crisis and won't be able to re-open their economies fast enough.

It's win-win-win-win: economies reopened, liability lies with governors, no Constitutional p*ssing match, campaign promises fulfilled.

Instead Trump is now mired in an endless cage match with DC media that accomplishes nothing while the Deep State flexes and the real economy leaks away to the void: lose-lose-lose.

Fate handed Trump an eleventh-hour custom-made opportunity to redeem the last four years. He swatted it to the dirt and returned to arguing with the ref. November looks as you say.

That's what these advocates (looking at you, AE) for the dissolution of the US are--they're splittists. The Chinese may not be able to make durable durable goods, but they know their way around the political arena.

English spelling is terrible. Other languages are worse.

"Splittist" in Mongolian is a simple Сплитист. For now...

  4. A lot of the discourse around Bernie has been inaccurate; and I must admit that I have made errors on this subject.

Bernie is actually quite popular with moderate/conservative Democrats. Middle-class winemoms screaming about his misogyny/racism on social media obscures the fact that most Dems see Sanders as a slightly cranky Jewish FDR.

That's a good analysis and I agree that Trump missed a golden opportunity here. However, the average voter is not nearly as astute as you are.

Nobody who voted for Trump last time is going to risk not voting for him this time. The Orange Man will find a way to win this one, and we'll have 4 more years of him getting our hopes up and letting us down again.

  8. Come on man! The world will end because “global warming”.

If you vote for Orange Hitler, global warming will destroy the world. Don’t give me the “China produces more greenhouse gases than USA + EU” or the fact that Biden got a D- on his climate plan from Greenpeace. Biden will do his “fire the prosecutor today” speech and China and India will go carbon zero within 24 hours.

Also, Orange Hitler will start a nuclear war, you might wonder why he didn’t start one in his first term, but he is saving the best for last.

Plus, all those rural white people with guns at his rallies are scary.

C'mon. Trump can't win. Even if this virus hadn't reared its head, and everything else went smoothly he would have almost certainly lost. Why? Demographics. Trump's margin in all the swing states is already dead, buried, moldering in the ground, replaced by utes and vibrants. Can't beat Demographics. Democracy is simply about mustering more of your people to the polls on election day, and there are more of them now. Thank you Cucks.

I hope you are correct, Joe Biden when all is said and done is going to be a perfect opponent for him, his China connections, his dementia, his turn off on younger and Latino voters...all are perfect recipes for Trump to make him worst choice than him.

The 1,000 dead in Wayne County, MI, might just be enough of a difference for him to make it in again.

Watch for insanely tight margins in Michigan, and if it's in the thousands range Coronavirus may have handed him another victory.

    That would be NUTS.

  11. This is the money chart for November election, under the most optimistic scenario, income growth in second and third quarter will be very negative, Trump will have to break a 60 year trend to win.

My only hope is that trends are trends until they are not, until Obama won the reelection in 2012, I believe no incumbent president had won the reelection when unemployment rate was more than 8%.
