There is no battle for the hearts and minds of the GOP electorate being waged. Trumpism has won decidedly. The idea that there is a McConnell/Romney/Cheney wing on one side and a Cruz/Hawley/Greene wing on the other among voters is fake news. The merchants of mendacity are lying when they frame it this way. The subsequent graph shows the latest YouGov net favorability ratings among Republican voters:

Similarly, Civiqs daily tracking shows net favorability among Republicans for Trump at +79 and for McConnell at -37. That’s an utterly staggering difference.
The GOP’s voters are literally more favorably inclined towards moderate Democrats than they are towards the party’s non-Trumpian establishment leaders. The GOPe has the procedural power for the time being, but unless the 2024 Republican primaries are rigged harder than elections in Turkmenistan, the anti-Trumpers don’t have a prayer.

I’d like to think the support for Marjorie Taylor Greene being so low is cuz nobody knows who the fuck she is. Lady would rip the nads off Schumer if she could (and if she could find them.)
I would like to see Governor DeSantis in one on these polls. He could be heir apparent to leadership of the New Populist GOP.
PEACE 😇
MTG is a fairly extreme conspiracy theorist. Believing that 100% of Qanon’s releases are accurate is more than most people are willing to accept. She has been making statements to disengage from that past, but the persistence of Social Media makes success unlikely. As a fringe loyalist she is still better than GOP(e) traitors like McConnell, Romney, & Cheney. However, there is a cap on her appeal.

Yet dumbass Republicans keep electing McConnell/Romney/Cheney.

I say:
I have pondered the possibility of forming an exploratory committee to run in the Republican Party primary for US Senate for the election that shall be held on November 8 2022 with hardtack and ale included from the one back in the late 1830s and early 1840s that that New England Prick Philbrick wrote about that sniffed about the Pacific with Melville and others nudging the nation towards the potential for profit and expansion in that great Ocean Pacific and its landmass and archipelagoes and the like and I will rhetorically pound the snot out of any other Republican Party oaf be it Trumper or never-Trumper or some rancid stooge from the Sununu Organized Crime Syndicate or the Bush Organized Crime Syndicate or the Pratt Organized Crime Syndicate of that nasty smirking turd called Willard Romney.
I will go out of my way to be nice to the current Democrat Party US Senator named Maggie Hassan for the simple reason that I think she is rather cute in a baseball cap and I have much more scorn for those nasty slobs in the Sununu Organized Crime Syndicate than I do for US Senator Maggie Hassan.
Fasten your seatbelts and remember that Hassan is pronounced like fasten and the New Hampshire Republican Party is splitting apart at the generational seams like you wouldn’t believe.

I take issue with your characterization, sir. The article says the honorable president won with “nearly 97.7 percent of the vote”. It is obvious that the public overwhelmingly loves their great leader. I’m sure if you would simply reach out to any of them, they would explain their various legitimate reasons:
I hope you will take care to not besmirch the good name of Turkmenistan in your blog without adequate research.*
Peace.
*For the sake of your family.
I don’t know much about Liz Cheney, but I thought she was an odd phenomenon.
Dick Cheney seems to have been absolutely hated by the Left. (I hardly love him myself) I thought originally Liz was promoted because she was a lesbian, but I guess that’s his other daughter and not Liz. Maybe, she is also a neocon, and the neocons are promoting her?
Nobody likes traitors. Wall Street Mitty is far worse than Benedict Arnold.
Biden is an idiot. No doubt about that. His numbers must be fake.
You keep looking at the fake news polls. Why do you believe them?
Joe Manchin is an endangered species in the Democratic Socialist Party.
I doubt there will be any “moderates” left.
The Right sees them as traitors, and the Left sees them as Capitalist sell-outs.
The chasm is insurmountable between the Left and the Right.
The corporate media and their masters want it that way.
In Truth, the top of this mess is a tumor growing on America.
The Left can EAT THE RICH, and the Right can replace it.
Its only a question of getting the useful idiots to destroy their puppetmasters.
Easy peasy, if the GOPe dopes are replaced by the Far Right.
The system has lost it’s credibility. Its only a question of TIME.
Tick tock. The clock runs down on the Zionist Empire.

Mr. Pewitt, please keep me updated on your race so that I can have my CCP oligarch father-in-law donate handsomely to your opponent. He has purchased a fair bit of land in Nashua, recently and is looking to key into the political scene there through payola.

Ted Cruz, who is (or at least was) basically the most articulate debater in the country, apparently can’t talk his way out of this Cancun/airport smuggling of beach ball under shirt, disheveled look, no blazer/dog-neglected imbroglio. So, in this poll, I guess his support goes to Desantis and Hawley. They are great, but neither is electable, given the American predilection for a different kind of persona — — and now Trump is gone. Carl Hubbell summed it up:
“Gehrig is great, of course. But somehow you don’t get the same feeling when he’s at the plate as when DiMaggio comes up.”
Virginia governor will be the race to watch in 2021. Amanda Chase is a Trump supporter who seems more to the right than even Trump.
The rest are just some Mitt Romney type billionaires (Pete Snyder and Glenn Youngkin) running expensive TV commercials on FOX chirping about low taxes, a strong economy, less red tape for business, etc. like it is 1982.
Chase is far in the lead but the Virginia GOP, buffoons to a man, are not having a state primary but a convention where a limited number of insiders will select the candidate. Meaning it likely wont be Chase but one of the Romney clones (or clowns).
Demographics have already washed away the GOP in Virginia for good. But it will be interesting to see what Chase will do if the nomination is taken from her. She will likely get more votes than the Republican if she runs third party.
I think that’s true. Because the one thing an enemy can’t do to an adversary is betray them.
That’s right. Traitors are definitely worse than enemies, who are honest about opposing you.
It’s not going to happen. Whatever his real intentions were, Trump stripped off the emperor’s clothes in 2016. And McConnell and Co. were happy to work with Trump for four years as long as they got what they wanted, only to try and portray themselves as paragons of republican virtue afterwards. Like Dante’s ante-hell, they will be treated with total contempt by both sides. No amount of hectoring or shaming people can take away people’s memories.
Anyone who promises an alternative to the GOP’s attempt to return to Bush/Romneyism, will have the initiative. It won’t matter how bizarre they are. All they will need are enough initial poll numbers to enter the debate stage. Once on, they won’t even need reasoned arguments to seize control. They’ll be able to talk about things that the donor class will actively prevent their opponents from even discussing, and attempts to visibly change the subject or echo media criticisms will only redouble the dark horse effect.
The GOP is a hollow shell of a party, dominated by increasingly short-sighted donors on the national level and local elites on a state and county level. Easily hijacked. And the Democrats are far from internally stable themselves. Elite consolidation might look strong externally, but it rests on shaky grounds.
-- State & Local Level -- Many of the state level GOP organizations have adopted the New Populist vision and are in pretty good shape.
-- DC Level -- The Establishment Swampies of the GOP(e) are moribund.
The home crowd GOP branches are taking aim at the spineless DC traitors. Trump is already gearing up for the 2022 GOP primaries: (1)Chances are actually quite high that the House will be substantially decontaminated by Primaries wiping out the incumbents. The Senate will take longer, but it is hard to see how they can stand against MAGA Populist House leadership.
PEACE 😇

Yes, the Republican party…or I should say the Republican side of the Deep State party, is dead.
Unlike the DNC/CCP there is variation among GOP groups:

It’s scary to see Cruz with such high favorability the dude is spineless and would fold like a cheap suit. If he were a Republican in any other state except Texas or Florida he would have been one of those RINOS that would easily throw Trump under the bus.
No amount of hectoring or shaming people can take away people’s memories.
