When a vinegar-drinking scold tries to turn on the charm, this is the result:

God in heaven.

In contrast, here’s a sample of what comes naturally for her:

That many heterosexual white men recoil at the prospect of a president Harris will be a feature of her appeal during the Democratic primary process. In an address to the Human Rights Campaign in 2017, Harris revealed the rhetorical foundation of her 2020 campaign: “Racism in this country is real. Sexism, anti-Semitism are real in this country. Homophobia and transphobia are real in this country. And we must speak that truth so that we can deal with it.”

Sharing a debate stage with Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, and Elizabeth Warren, it will be obvious to Democratic primary voters who is best able to speak said truth. For her white opponents to deny her assertions will be to relegate themselves to less than 1% support in the polls. For them to assent, as all will assuredly do, will be to cede all moral authority to Harris.

The alleged sex tapes of her with former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown will not derail her candidacy. To the contrary, she will be able to use their revelation to point out the political glass ceiling that forces qualified women of color like herself to debase themselves just for the opportunity to assume the positions of prominence they deserve and would have full access to in a fair society. Fortunately, having overcome these oppressive racist and misogynist obstacles firsthand, she will be uniquely situated to ensure their systematic removal!

How does Harris square up with the DSA wing? She's neither a full-blown (heh) neoliberal like Biden, nor a blood-red communist. On paper that is an advantage, as she can draw from both camps. Also, unusual for a CA politician, she has marginal connections to the tech industry, which will take an increasing hit in approval.

Wild card: At least one Governor is going to run for the Dem nomination. Inslee? Hickenlooper? Kasich? The traditional bias in favor of Governors over Senators could come into play if Harris is actually asked a substantive policy making question in a debate and she replies with "women and minorities hardest hit". Recall that she had to cheat the last time she faced a competitive election.

On another (humorous?) point, what would the viability of an easily-crushed "alt-right" purist challenge to Trump be worth, by allowing him to appear more moderate? Imagine Trump, R. Spencer and Ben Sasse on a debate stage.

Listen to Bannon, except s/Watkins/Yoder, or whomever the GOP candidate is in your district for non-AE readers. If it's RuPaul, then fucking vote for RuPaul. A congresscritter's vote for Speaker is literally more important than all the rest of their votes combined. Voting for any Democrat is voting for white genocide.

  3. 216 –

    Former JCS, thankfully.

  4. Snorlax,

Every officer currently on JCS was appointed by Obama, except the Coast Guard. Their terms expire next year, so Trump will get to make appointments then. For all intents and purposes, Mattis and Kelly will probably be selecting them, and they aren't our friends. Every rank above O-6 requires Senate confirmation, meaning that any realtalker is squeezed out.

While on paper he could (should) have fired them all on Day 1, the coup threat has always been present. Dempsey would not make such an open threat to encourage defiance of orders if he didn't have backing from the people he used to work on a daily basis. JCS is talking through him.

  5. 216 –

Dempsey's obviously a partisan Democrat, the rest of them probably are too, but the rest of the chain of command would side with Trump over them in any sort of coup attempt. You're wrong about Kelly; he's #ourguy. Mattis isn't but he isn't really an enemy either, certainly not a coup plotter.

Also, threatening is one thing, but actually ordering "screw the optics, shoot unarmed illegals" would result in him being impeached and convicted with overwhelming popular support.

  6. If latinas really were paid 53 cents on the dollar they would still be overpriced.

@snorlax "Listen to Bannon, except s/Watkins/Yoder, … A congresscritter's vote for Speaker is literally more important than"

That is the way to ruin, placing party over country. Men like Yoder (or Denham, Curbelo, Knight, Love, Lance, &c) that run as Republicans and then work day and night to open the border and undermine the president are more dangerous than any Democrat.

If the GOP can't be cleaned up, then there will be no voice for Americans in DC. The only hope starts with throwing out the unlimited immigration globalists among the GOP. Once either party starts caring about the American people, the other may have to follow. But staying blindly loyal to Republicans that repeatedly destroy any chance at reform will guarantee Dems don't even have to care about us.

  8. Well I admire a bold prediction two years out. But I would bet against Harris in the Democratic primaries, or even getting off the ground.

For one thing, prole and even middle class black women do not like halfies with the good hair. "Do not like" does not come close to capturing the level of resentment there. In fact, it is probably even worse to be, like Harris, an exotic-ish halfie with the good hair than if she were just a corn fed Halle Barry type. Now at least Harris is married to a nerdy white guy instead of "taking" a high status black male, but on the other hand he is an investment banking nerdy white guy, so I'm sure there are photos of Harris living it up on jet skis or whatever, in a bikini with her golden brown skin and straight hair.

What about prole black men? I just don't see SWPL/corporate/5'2" Harris having the visceral appeal of the basketball-shooting Obama. Prole black men are not crazy about 'fancy' upper class black-ish women.

In short, Harris is the kind of black-ish person that only appeals to a very thin segment of academia-type black people. Most others, prole and middle class, would be viscerally against her.

Of course AAs would circle the wagons for even a black-ish person when an attack is coming from the outside, but in an -insider- Democratic party primary fight, I could see any number of people, from Booker (no black female resentment in play) to Biden (prole sensibilities), capturing much more of the black vote.

Then you've got the SWPL vote split between Sanders and others, which Harris would then be competing for. Would SWPLs gravitate to Harris just because she is an exotic, even though she is corporate? Probably not enough. Funny enough, I don't think Harris has an angle other than the corporate/centrist wing of the party. But then the empty (pant)suit thing comes in to play. As politicos go, Harris is really lazy. After all, she took the shortcut to success through swallowing geriatric Willie Brown's jizz, rather than, say, doing the hard work of making those fund raising calls herself.

And all of that is not even considering the sex tapes. What if the sex tapes show not just some bedsheets moving up and down but Harris taking a load to the face?

  9. Please, Dems, please, give us Harris. All but full-bore anti-white whites will start to have their eyes opened by a Harris candidacy.

  10. @ Jig:
More likely, she swallowed, rather than getting her face jizzed-up.
If so, that'll only be clear, if the audio is good enough to make clear his wailing.

But you'll be esp. right on Booker or Biden, if the GOP wins this Tuesday, leading
Blacks (esp. men) to blame Dem women, for pushing the party into gambling on Ford vs. Kav.

My guess is that her "taking" a high status black male would've been seen as "natural", whereas her catching an investment banking nerdy white guy reeks of sucking-up to honky $$.

  11. The nerdy part is probably the worst of it.
Catching a hunky honky would come off as more "natural".

  12. It's said that she has a bad temper that her handlers have to work very hard to keep in check. That could be entertaining.

  13. 216,

Think you nailed it, she's neither. Much like Obama, she's easy to project onto. She is 'good' on the thing that unites both wings of the Democrat party, though–SJW rhetoric. If she gets the blessing of Sanders–who will give it to whoever has a D next to his/her name, as he showed by cravenly backing Clinton after she cheated him and represented everything wrong with the Democrat party by his own admission–she'll get the progressive wing. Hell, she probably will anyway. The kinds of people who show up at a Sanders' rally aren't going to say no to a member of the POC ascendancy who generally in line with them.

The alt-right challenge would be great for the same reason Ron Paul was great. We have some ground to cover before we're there, though!

    snorlax,

Tariq, who people seem to be split 50/50 on legit/troll, is a great example of what a sane Old America political alliance could look like, with whites agreeing to keep handing stuff over to blacks, maybe even more than currently, in return for blacks lending their unmatched sacredness to the cause of an immigration moratorium.

Bannon, who wanted to burn the party down, now wants to elect worthless cucks like Watkins. Geez. Parenthetically, that editor called me an "identitarian entity" a few months ago!

    misanthrope,

    !

    Anon,

Agreed. Yoder has to be made an example of. He's a Paul Ryan clone. The time for clarification is upon us. Muddling along with centrist corporatists is the worst possible outcome of all for ourselves and our posterity.

    Jig,

I've never understood Biden's putative appeal. He ran for president twice, when the Dems were a lot whiter and a lot more focused on the working class (of which Biden is a curious example given that he's spent nearly his entire adult life in politics), and he got nowhere both times. His association with Obama is all he has going for him. And I'd be shocked if Obama endorsed Biden in a field that included some combination of Cory Booker, Deval Patrick, and Kamala Harris.

Obama playing basketball is about the only thing he earned any legitimate black cred for. Even the way he speaks is distinctly not black. His shellacking by Bobby Rush in ~2000 revealed how black he was, which is to say not very. But blacks will, despite their grumblings, rally to the most blackish candidate.

    MBlanc46,

Indeed. Clarification for normies is what we're after!

    aNanyMouse,

But she's gotten down with a typically corrupt, Big Man-type black, too. There are plenty of ways for her life choices to be rationalized–or, as in the case of Obama, simply ignored by most blacks.

    Anon,

Yes, she looks like the cunt corporate HR just dispatched to make your next week of work a living hell.

    Gen Z white pill:
    https://www.thegazette.com/subject/news/government/republicans-sweep-iowa-youth-straw-poll-20181030

All four Iowa congressional seats go Republican with Gen Z.

I think it was snorlax who posted the Maine youth results in another thread. That leads me to believe that the gubernatorial election there will be closer than expected. Of note, Trump won the Maine youth vote in 2016 and LePage won it in 2014.

  15. AE: "There are plenty of ways for her life choices to be rationalized–or, as in the case of Obama, simply ignored by most blacks."
    Indeed.
My point is, they'll trust someone who sluts it up with a Big Man black, over one biting crank of an investment banking nerdy white.
Of course, if she actually gets the Dem nod, all will be ignored, when she's running against a *real* champion of the Polar Bears.

  16. OT: the nickname for CBS should be "crank biting sluts".

  17. Make politics fun again.
