Among those polled who have already cast a ballot–one-quarter of the voting electorate claim to have done so–Joe Biden leads Donald Trump by a staggering 68%-29% margin.

The left is pushing hard for people to request ballots and send them in immediately. This may negate the seeming election night victory predicted here for Trump, a victory suspected to be ‘overturned’ in the days following.

On the other hand, mail-ins are where mistakes are made. All other things equal, it’s preferable to have your supporters out in person on election day.

  1. I suspect something is planned for that Tuesday. hence why they’re hustling now.

  2. YouGov is a crappy online poll that pays slackers to take survey after survey.

Early and often, dead or alive, as they used to say in Chicago.

I will readily admit to a certain fantasy about how Antifa and BLM would have done against Richard J. Daley’s police force, though.

  4. What happens if early voters vote for Biden, and Biden is forced off the ticket (I know, I know, but imagine a Democratic Party with Responsible adults in charge)? Do the ballots cast for Biden count as a vote for Kamala if she replaces him?

Each state sets a cut-off date when changes are no longer permitted to allow for printing of balllots, equipment prep, etc. I believe that 30 days is the shortest window. At this point even if Biden dies, he will still appear on the ballot.

Some state DNC rules may give the Electors to Sanders as #2 delegate count from their primary. The legal challenges would be entertaining.

  6. The Democrats want early voting to suppress Republican enthusiasm, but also to avoid any last-minute surprises, like, say Biden’s son leaving incriminating evidence on a laptop.

  7. A123 says:

The Democrats have doomed themselves with fraud-by-mail plus SCOTUS enforcement of the current rules. There are too many things that can & will go wrong event with competent voters. For example:

Add in the fact that Biden relies on semi-literate and outright illiterate voters. The low-IQ, Democrat Party is in huge trouble.

    PEACE 😇

  8. It’s rare in politics that a party enjoys this luxury at the end of a long, hotly contested campaign – particularly when it is for all the marbles – but Democrats now have such a big lead that they can afford to be complacent.

It depends on the goals of Democrats. I used to be independent. Leaning Republican. Consider Trump to be a conman who is one-off, but who has so completely exposed the shallowness, careerism, grifting, spoils system of the Repubs that I will be looking for the death of the Republican party. And won’t be complacent about anything less. One of the two parties must be destroyed at this point. It will be the Repubs. Bye. “Sailor Strategy”. LOL. Idiotic from the get-go. And a setup for the left that has led to this climactic election. I don’t believe this is the death of whites BTW. Or the victory of socialism. Or black over white. Yellow over white. Just a necessary rebalance that reflects the demographics of planet Earth TODAY. Doh!

Trump’s team is still doing outreach:

It looks like the DNC is taking the votes of certain people for granted:

We’ll see how this plays out…

That’s a mysterious, eschatological goal. But interesting.

You should talk to President Kamala about this.

I’d like to. She’s unique. Better than the Terrified-Right is giving her credit for.

    That’s a mysterious, eschatological goal.

I see this as an opportunity at rebirth for white folks. What kind of idiot would follow a strategy where you concede one major party and leave yourself cornered with boomer/silent segment. WHEN YOU’RE THE MAJORITY. The universe has four dimensions. TIME is one of them. It’s not mysterious at all.

  13. @A123

If Biden got the most electors after dying, they’d give their votes to Harris, and everyone sensible, including me, would support that.

Sensible people might do as you suggest.

However, a key Democrat identifying characteristic is a total lack of sensibility. Between broken party rules and deranged Electors anything is possible. If the Bernie Bros managed to obtain control of enough Electors they would offer Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and the DNC an ultimatum.

Of course, as a Trump blowout is inevitable, the concept of a DNC victor is entirely theoretical and will remain that way.

    PEACE 😇

I’d encourage them to be complacent. They were complacent in 2016. What worries me is that they may not be complacent.
